I can gets lots of stuff from the web for 'free', but let's not go down that path.Chaka said:You can also get the errata online for free, if that's all you want.
I don't see the problem, don't buy their books if you don't like what they write in them.uteck said:I can gets lots of stuff from the web for 'free', but let's not go down that path.Chaka said:You can also get the errata online for free, if that's all you want.
The issue is my righteous indignation over buying some shitty books. The errata team admits that the original authors seemed to have no idea about the game or mechanics. The staff at White Wolf allowed this trash to be printed. And now if I want to use these source books in a game I can either use the crappy non-working version or shuffle a bunch of print outs around and cross reference the shitty book.
What annoys me is that most of the books are rewritten. This is not a keyword here and a clarification there, but a total rewrite of most of the books.
Is the proof-reading and editing that bad at White Wolf that complete trash is sold? I can't stick a few post-it notes on the page with the corrections with this amount of rewriting, I need to print and bind my own books now. I would be better off ripping out the pages of fluff text and the cover of the books and then I would have the new version after I print the errata.
I am done giving my money to WW for trash just to be told to ignore the books I paid for and use some print outs I got from the web for free. They don't even apologize to the people that bought the original books.
They are acting just like Wizards of the Cost did with D&D 3.5. The original books had some problems, so they printed some new books for you to buy.
No thanks.
