Korren smiled and laid next to him, chuckling at his comment. They kissed, and she looked in his eyes while they were nose to nose, her smile spreading wider the more she looked at him. Soon she was pulled closer, and moved so that her head was laying on his chest. To be more comfortable, she laid on her side, laying against him with her legs sprawled out in the warm sand. She leaned down and was met with a kiss, tilting her head ever so slightly to deepen the kiss. Her eyes were closed, not noticing the people around them that were packing up and moving away from the rowdy group of teenagers. This didn't bother any of them, since it meant more room for them to play. Something stirred inside her, and it was tempting to push it and just be in the moment. She wasn't stupid, though. Even if she loved Sage, she knew he was called Sleeze for a reason, whether it be intentionally or not. She didn't want to egg him on or implement the idea that there were no limits between them, when there truly were. Carefully and slowly she pulled away, moving her head to lay on his chest. Her heart was beating faster than before, though she didn't want to show it through her breathing. Ever so slowly she regulated her breathing by taking deep breaths. To replace the silence, she decided to revert back to the subject they were talking about before they started kissing. It took her a moment, but she managed to remember. "You know..." She started her spiel of how tanning could cause skin cancer. Once she began, there would be no easy way of stopping her. She even brought statistics in and averages, speaking mainly by memory. Korren couldn't help it, facts of life in general were interesting, whether it be history, science, and so on.
The other two girls had gotten out of the water, walking over and grabbing their beers while setting out their own towels, chatting all the while. Patch had pulled out her phone, and was listening to abstract indie rap, which sounded much more meaningful than the usual rap song. They kept their distance from the two, knowing that they needed some room. Eventually Winsley started building a sand castle, grabbing a lime green bucket that was left out on the beach to get wet sand for the foundation. Every now and then she would get back up, carrying a whole bucket full of sand with her.
Kilo nodded to the directions, focused on the task at hand, which was to bring this girl home. It was funny though, during their whole interaction they had managed to not share names, at least not until now. All he was waiting for was for her to break the ice, since he usually didn't ask so much as names with costumers or passer-bys. He chuckled as she called him silly, raising a brow. "Alright, Winnie it is," Kilo smiled at her. Winnie, such a nice name. "It's your car, play what you like. I'm good with it all." The car started moving, heading in the direction of her home. He knew every area by heart, since he's lived her practically his whole life. At the moment he completely forgot to share his name, and was just listening to the music. His eyes were set on the road, glancing up at his rear view mirror every once in a while. There was a short pause in between speaking before he started up again, feeling a need to fill the gap of silence with this girl, as if it helped her settle her anxiety. "My buddy Sage and I listen to it all, from metal down to country. You name it, we play it." By now he had forgotten partially about the ordeal with him getting on to her about what Bucky said to her about there being crazies. Then he remembered that she said directly that Bucky told her these things. He froze, his smile partially dropping. There was silence for a whole minute before he finally asked the needed question. "How long did you talk to him, to Bucky? Who was he talking about?" It felt prying, but it was needed. Bucky was a manipulative shit and everyone knew it, all except for new blood, including Winnie. He was sure he already knew the answer to the second question, but he needed to know for sure who it was. If it was someone that wasn't close to him, the drama wouldn't have mattered at all. If it were Sage or any of his own crew, he would be sure to be extra protective of them, even if they didn't care about their reputation.
