...too late. Well, hello there.

I'll just go ahead and copy-paste everything in my profile...

Location: Philippines

Languages: (preferably) English, Filipino

Systems: (Hoo boy...)

Given my geographic location, I have little experience whatsoever with any RPG system. What little I do have comes from a handful of sessions playing 3.X DnD with family and friends - who've since been too busy or disinterested to come together and play. I've considered GM-ing (both for my old groups and for new players) but found that I'm too un-creative for such an endeavor. Perhaps, gaming a little through RPdom might give me the experience and inspiration to be a good GM. I've also recently become interested in Exalted, and have only just begun reading its books.

With that said, I have passing familiarity with DnD 3.X (no Pathfinder), and Exalted 2nd Ed.

Mannerisms:

I'm a shy individual, and would refrain from revealing personal info when possible. Because of my unfamiliarity with TT-gaming in general, I prefer being a player rather than a story-teller. And likely, I will go for the less complicated character concepts, basically avoiding the classes/races outside of the core books.

Schedule:

I'm terrible at time-management. Therefore, I have no idea if I'd be consistent in my posting, but will at least try to be.

About my interests, I 'dunno. I've read some W40k, watched some ponies, played some pokemon video games, watched some anime, read some books/comics/whatever...Mostly, I just have some passing knowledge here and there, but nothing deep or encyclopedic. I'm very easily influenced, so feel free to suggest things - just don't expect it to stick to me for too long.

I just joined RPdom hoping I could join new players in a few games, or maybe I just joined to make some new friends here. Any tips on either are quite welcome.

Welcome to RPdom, algorithm10!

It's always good to see someone new wanting to expand their horizons and here on RPdom, there are huge horizons to expand to! From your profile copy-pasta, it sounds like you'll fit in perfectly. We have D&Ders, bronies, poke-holics, otaku, 40Kers and a ton more trope-types on the site than I could probably name.

With that, you'll probably want the quick tour of the site, so you can get involved in a game or two, three, four or five...

The best place to find all our games is in the 'Our Roleplays' forum. There, you'll find all the games that are currently active on the site, each thread being a brief description of the game, along with (usually) some discussion between the ST and some of the players, so you can get a good idea of what the ST and the players expect from the game. Additionally, each thread has (or at least, should have....) a handy recruitment status prefix to indicate how quickly a player can join and start in the game. 'Recruiting' and 'Joinable' games are just that, either actively looking for new players or have spaces available. 'Waitlist' games are allowing new character submissions, but there may be a period before you can play, either because of a current story arc or some other in-game situation. Obviously, 'Closed' games are those that are not accepting new players at all currently.

Additionally, you can check out the 'Interest Checks' and 'Roleplay Submissions' forums. These are where STs pitch game ideas to see whether there is enough community interest before going through the process of writing setting, rules and NPCs for a new game, and where games are submitted to recruit players and apply for forums to run the game, respectively. At both these stages, player participation is vital to getting a game up and running, so if you see something you like, jump in there and show your support!

If you want to get involved in a game (and I know you will...), all you need to do is post in the 'Our Roleplay' thread for the game, in the game's forum OOC (Out-of-Character) thread or by contacting the ST directly, though you'll need to make ten posts on-site before you can unlock the PM system.

We also have the 'Thread Roleplays' section, where players can create their own, single thread games which do not require prior approval by the Admin team to start up. We also have provision for running chat roleplays, using our own TeamSpeak server. Teamspeak is a free text and chat utility which can be modded to allow for in-chat dice-rolling and can be grabbed from here.

Anywho, that's a big wall o' text for you, so I'll leave you to digest it all. If you have any questions, then don't hesitate to post them here. Should you need to speak directly with the Admin staff about an issue with the site or a matter you wish to keep private, then you can use the confidential 'Admin Contact' forum.

Have a great time here!

Well thank you Captain Hesperus. I'll try to absorb everything, and get to gaming, as quickly as I'm able. Hopefully soon.

Aw, shoot. I tried not opening this thread but my wolf curiosity got the best of me.

Welcome to RPdom, by the way ;) *rawrrr

Well Volk, obviously my cheap trick was just for humor.

I'll need to be sleeping in a few minutes. Three a.m. local is a terrible bedtime hour, and I'll be signing off.

So tell me about yourself.
