You guys do realize things can happen simultaneously, right? Anyone waiting in the facility could have been having a conversation, watching/analyzing other fights, or just plain thinking. Anyone outside the facility aren't connected to the fight at all and don't have to wait for it.

Darn it I knew someone was going to call me out on that. And while Nom's the only one who really has a say on it, I'd say 4th wall awareness isn't something you should do. It kind of defeats the purpose of creating an elaborate setting and roleplaying in it.

Yushin Some ideas...

Electronic appliance manipulation but they have to them into doing what they want and robots are surprisingly moody sometimes

Someone that can take on the aspects of whatever plant they touch (rose=thorny, poison ivy=makes people itchy, etc). They might take seeds around with them wherever they go

Life creation, in which the user can bring small objects to life (like an origami thingmadoodle, a toaster, etc)
