Before you create characters, I would like to establish some rules. First things first, I do have the final say on whether a character is approved or not. If I ask for a few changes to your submitted character sheet, don't take it personally. I am open make additions, changes, and etc in regards to the setting stuff, so feel free to PM with potential ideas before hand. My second rule is that you MUST be able to post at least once a week, preferably more if possible. Each post should be at least two paragraphs long. If either of those stipulations seem unreasonable, I request that you do not join. It's unfair to me and the other players for a person to show up only to dip out in a moment where someone was interacting with your character. The final rule is be friendly with your fellow players. There are also some other common sense type rules I shouldn't have to clarify, and I'll let you know if you pushing the boundaries. There is a Discord I can provide to anyone interested in the RP, just PM me for it. I will also be looking for people willing to play teachers and I request that those interested also me PM ahead of time or chat with me on Discord. Completed character sheets will be posted here after I approve them via PM.

There are currently 6 open student spots.

Name: Jinn Al-Sama

Race: Fire Genasi

Age: 19

Gender:
Cis Male

Homeland: Obann

Appearance:
Jinn is somewhat short for his age, standing at about 5’5 and considerably slight of frame. As common with the people of Obann, he has tan skin and dark medium length hair that he trims only enough to keep from being burdensome. Due his Fire Genasi blood, his pupils burn like embers while parts of his neck, back and chest are traced with glowing designs that he prefers to keep concealed. He has a scar across the bridge of his nose from a dueling “accident” with his older brother. His left arm is a complete aetherium prosthetic limb with a phoenix etched into the shoulder while his right arm contains uncommonly intricate aetherium attunements. He holds himself with air of authority, but under close scrutiny you would notice the underlying tension of uncertainty that he tries to mask.

Personality: Despite his station in life, Jinn has something of an inferiority complex as a result of his upbringing amongst his many siblings. Constantly raised to compete as measurement of his worth, he both prideful yet secretly desperate in any endeavor he hopes to exceed in. He’ll come off to strangers as a cold, calculating individual, but that is not the person he truly wants to be. Jinn is very passionate when it comes to his scholarly pursuits, and god forbid you show any interest in artifice, alchemy, or poetry of all things. Jinn is firm believer in that knowledge, creativity, and willpower are the true reflections.

Magic Specialty: By the time of his acceptance to Dominion Academy, Jinn had reached the status of journeyman Artificer through hardwork and dedication. He is capable of infusing spells into common items while also able to create permanent magic items for continuous use. He has a general knowledge of alchemy for common potions/bombs and is capable of crafting simple homunculi. Separate his chosen specialty, Jinn is fully capable of casting several basic cantrips and create defensive wards to protect against harm.

Skills: Jinn is a capable marksman when it comes to firearms, preferring revolvers if given a choice. While he does know how to fence, he is averse to using bladed weapons. Jinn can speak several languages, knows basic first aid, and is very fond of writing poetry.

History: Jinn was born into the royal line of Obann, though not quite close enough to inheriting the crown as time soon. He is the fourth son of Najem Al-Sama, current reigning monarch of his homeland, but his mother is not nobility. Regardless, the king invited the Fire Genasi mother and her newborn son to live within the palace he was still responsible for seeing the child be raised properly. This decision created a divide within the current royal family as Jinn would not be firespawn child sired by the king. Jinn’s three older brothers grew to resent him, but none more than Halkir, the third son. Their relative closeness in age made them rivals when it came to earning their father’s approval.

From the age of eight, Jinn began the rigorous training expected of a prince regardless of the fact he would likely never sit the throne. His daily studies consisted of etiquette, academics and martial skills that consumed his childhood. Regularly, both he and Halkir were pitted against each other inspire mutual growth through competitive spirit. This accomplished little more then spur their mutual resentment against between the two. Though younger, Jinn excelled in his academics and showed promise as an artificer for which his father approved. Halkir on the other hand was a warrior at heart and regularly made a fool Jinn whenever possible while sparring. It was during one of their many practice sessions that Halkir ruthlessly swung his saber, catching Jinn across his face, and leaving a permanent scar for which he would never forget.

This motivated Jinn to focus his personal interests in artifice and alchemy as he refused to cross swords with Halkir on the fear of death. While his brother continued to mock Jinn, avoiding Halkir proved to be greater boon then expected. On the recommendation of his tutor, a palace artificer named Awai, Jinn was formally recognized with journeyman status by the Order of Chol. As Jinn was now at the proper age to forge his own path, he requested permission from his parents to apply to Dominion Academy in Bastiel so that he might honorably serve his country. With the blessing of his parents and many hate-fueled courses from Halkir, Jinn began his journey to Dominion so that he might further hone his skills.

Equipment:
A custom built revolver, a portable alchemy set, etching tools, several books on sigils, formula, and magic theory. Also, his lucky keffiyeh that was made by his mother.

Other: Jinn joined the academy under the agreement that he would be treated no differently than any other student. He is also gay, but is it not comfortable with pursuing romantic interests.

Name: Adalwolf Beltz

Race: Beastkin (Wolf)

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Homeland: Weissland

Appearance: Adalwolf is a male of considerable height and comparable weight. (6'2" and 210lbs respectively) Skin almost as pale as the snowy grounds of his lands, many could easily mistake him as someone that hasn't been out in the sun much of their lives. Technically not wrong, but for different reasons than expected. His face is somewhat pointed, be it his nose, the tips of fangs poking out of his mouth, or the tips of his ears. Has yellow eyes, and prematurely graying hair that seems to easily become matted without near daily brushing, twice. Furthermore, the body hair he has is unusually thick for a human, which he tries to pass himself off as by keeping his claws filed down to more just very sharp nails. The only really notable feature that hasn't been spoken of would be a scar a bit off from his neck, which he claims happened on a hunting trip. Which is mildly believable, considering it looks like a bite mark, possibly a wolf. Tends to hold himself in a confident, bordering on predatory, stance.

Personality: Adalwolf is what some would call a leader type. At times, he can be caring albeit in a distant way. Not exactly a, 'Oh, I care about you due to liking you.' More of a, 'I am here for you, if you need it' kind of way. Usually seen leading by example, be it on a hunt with the younger members of his family, or assisting with tasks around the cozy village he lives in. You will nearly always see him at the forefront, making an effort to be something to aspire towards. He'll even do his best to organize everything to better ensure that things go as planned... Sometimes to the point he crosses from a good leader who can change with his plan, to a rigid tyrant who demands those who are helping him to do exactly as he said. Normally this only occurs when someone messes up enough to potentially derail his plans, or outright ruins them. Takes great pride in his being seen as a leader type, and can be a bit... Stubborn, if expected to allow someone else to lead, unless they've proven to him to be his better in this particular case.

Magic Specialty: As of the time of joining the Academy, Adalwolf has shown some skill at working as a Druid. Through a mixture of mainly Transmutation, with some Abjuration, Adalwolf has been able to shift the forests near his home in manners suitable for hunting. Be it a sudden hardening of a tree to prevent a creature from climbing, to binding plantlife to his will, forcing it into the paths of his prey. Holds the potential to be great for impromptu defenses in a combat situation, if given training to do so in a more stressful environment. At the moment, Adalwolf is currently capable of changing the density of a material, and binding his will to technically living things such as bushes, vines, and the occasional tree. With training, might be able to control some lesser animals like rats and birds up to a certain distance. Has a little skill with Evocation, capable of a few somewhat pitiful fireballs. Has even less skill at Conjuration, potentially due to understanding the banishing more than summoning.

Skills: Is a skilled hunter with a rather notable ability to sneak around undetected by non-magical means, minor weapon handling knowledge, archery, and cooking. Slightly experienced leader, know minor first aid (Bandages, clean out a wound, you know, basics.)

History: Adalwolf Beltz was born to a family of wolf Beastkin in a small village in the barony of Lady Fang. More specifically, he was the first of ten kids in his family, and that was just counting his direct family. He had at least twice as many cousins. Growing up as the oldest of ten forced Adalwolf to mature quickly. Whilst his brothers and sisters ran about, having fun and learning through trial and error, he was learning how to be a responsible young man so that when his parents got tired of dealing with a rowdy group of nine wolf kids, they'd have someone who would be able to ensure nobody got hurt or lost. Something he would take to heart, becoming what he would call the best older brother. He wouldn't ask much of his family, other than they follow the rules, and more than once had to break up a fight by joining it to remind them that, yes, he's the one that makes the rules here. Despite the mildly controlling behavior more typical of absolute dickheads, may the Gods protect you if you dared to harm a single one of his siblings. Boyfriends played one of his sisters? They'd find the dude limping around the next day after a convenient hunting trip between the two. Some humans mess with his brothers? Those humans find out just how much of Adalwolf is still beastlike. This led to a sort of alpha wolf-esque mindset being formed within the young man's mind.

It wouldn't be till the age of seventeen that his dad figured it fine to begin teaching him more of the world beyond their small village. To finally let Adalwolf in on the news that they'd get from lone minstrels that came by to report the ongoings of the... Alliance. Yeah... Perhaps Adalwolf should've been paying better attention to what news he could pry from people. He should've grown up knowing these things about the world, but he had spent so much more time managing his family, that the outside world never really gave him anything to be interested in. Not that he particularly cares about all the specifics per se... But having something to work out his more violent urges? Oh, he'd jump at the chance, for the hunting isn't quite working anymore. When he asked how he could help though, he was laughed at. He wasn't exactly likely to make it as just a normal soldier, his father reasoned. After all, Adalwolf hated taking orders from others unless he knew they were competent. Unless he was gonna fight the entire army, he'd probably be dishonorably discharged in days. Yet, his mother made slight mention of what he could do with as a mage, and that her family has had quite a few decent mages for their race. Not only this, but if they were right, there was even an academy being built specifically for mages going towards the inevitable war effort. If he wanted to join the war effort, they had drilled it into his head he'd be best off getting into the academy, or not joining at all. Do as his dad did, and provide furs and hides for the war effort in terms of flask creation, waterskin creation, or just warming our soldiers through the unforgiving cold of Winter or of the night. Not like there was anything wrong with this in particular. It was after all, the family's traditional job. They've always been skinning and tanning hides for leather, or furs to keep warm. This future though, held zero appeal for our your Adalwolf, so he began working around the town doing odd jobs here or there, making use of his siblings to begin earning money and favors quick, and fast. Before two years had passed, he'd been able to get some aetherium attunements for himself. More specifically, in his hands to make it easier to interact, for he saw it as him grabbing ahold of the ambient magic, and forcing it to bend to his will for what he wanted it to be! Of course, this didn't end his journey by a longshot. Next, he began trading in these favors and money that hadn't gone into the attunements to find a teacher with a mage in tow, more specifically, one centered around nature. This took another year, leaving Adalwolf at the age of nineteen, and beginning to internally panic about getting too old to join before he even got a chance.

Was it cool, badass, and everything he expected? Of course not. It was fascinating, and it was deadly. He spent the better part of a year and a few months learning the basics, and finding what he was good at, for he swore up and down it was probably related to nature in some way or another. He wasn't sure how he knew, but something instinctual told him he'd be a druid. Communing with nature and releasing its wrath and peace in equal measure. After his year of accelerated study, and practice, he deemed himself fit to join the academy. He felt he'd fit in as someone starting out... Unless they expected people who have managed to master magic in maybe a decade? Who knows? Not him. He'll figure it out as he goes. An alpha need not heed the dangers, or so he felt.

Equipment: A bow, a quiver containing sixty arrows, three knives plus whetstone, leather 'armor' so to speak, and a few pouches he uses to carry food or random junk such as particularly interesting rocks.

“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.”
― Sun tzu, The Art of War

Name: Fredrick von Kleinheisterkamp
Race: Human
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Homeland: The United Baronies of Weissland,
arms-large.png

"Aktionen nicht Wörter" - Actions Not Words
One of the 14 Baronies that make up Weissland, the House of Von Kleinheisterkamp is a primarily human barony whom has always ruled with strict martial discipline and honor, yet always striving for progress in order to further their agenda. Though the Barony of Hochland has warriors, they are more infamous for their formations of the common soldiers. Many battles were won in the name of the Hoch as a result of the progression in military theory and combat doctrine. It is as a result of innovation that the main city of Hochland is rather industrialized, with research of new technology being encouraged and subsided by the Barony itself. Intreastingly enough, the Barony also houses the Order of the Hoch, a knightly order founded in the early days of the Barony to protect the land from invaders. What's interesting is that the Order of the Hoch actively seeks to incorporate new age technology into their fighting force, as history has taught the order that traditional dogma could lead to disastrous defeat on the battlefield; as a result, the knighthood vows to never make that mistake.
Baron Von Kleinheisterkamp is the current Baron of Hochland and is known as the "Bloody Hawk", earned for his exploits on the battlefield both in his youth and in his present condition.
His wife is the Grandmaster of the Order of the Hoch, also known as the "Hoch's Sword", and had to cleave through many opponents in order to earn both titles.
Together, the Baron and the Grandmaster have eight children:
Ludwig von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Bulwark of the Hoch", Eldest of the Von Kleinheisterkamps, Paladin of the Order of the Hoch
Karl von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Blitz", Secound Eldest of the Von Kleinheister, Strategist of Hochland's Standing Army
Wilhelma von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Iron Lady", Third Eldest of the Von Kleinheister, Paladin of the Order of the Hoch
Baldwin von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Eyes of the Hoch", Forth Eldest of the Von Kleinhesiter, Head Counselor of State
Ulrike von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Swordbreaker", Fifth Eldest of the Von Kleinhesiter, Knight of the Order of the Hoch
Ottilia von Kleinheisterkamp, "Maiden of the Skies", Sixth Eldest of the Vonkleinhesiter, Fighter Ace of the Hochland Airforce
Ottmar von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Iron Vanguard", Seventh Eldest of the Von Kleinhesiter, Infantry Officer of Hochland's Standing Army
Ottfried von Kleinheisterkamp, "The Ground Quacker", Eighth Eldest of the Von Kleinhesiter, Artillery Officer of Hochland's Standing Army
Fredrick von Kleinheisterkamp, "...", Youngest of the Von Lkeinhesiter, Cadet of Dominion Academy
Appearance: The lad doesn't seem all that impressive, at least when you compare him with the rest of his family. In fact, some may even go as far as to say that out of all the Von Kleinheisterkamps, his face is the most forgettable of them all. They say you'd wouldn't remember who he was if you were not told of his origins. Beyond being forgettable, Fredrick stands 5'10 and is rather toned in terms of muscle. Underneath the clothing, their are many scars and brusies, many of which has it's own story to tell.
a61936cba6926babc4a599c6feeacf28.jpg
Personality: Fredrick appears quite on first impression, never one to really burst in to make a scene, but rather slipping into the room unannounced. It's not because the lad's shy or antisocial, in fact he loves the company(or folly) of others, but this is more so because Fredrick likes to observe his surroundings first before taking the necessary actions. As a result, one could say that he is rather a laid back individual, despite his more Imperial upbringing, although it's not somthing he actively propagates. It's not exactly lying about his origins, but Fredrick does choose to omit certain details, such as being the son of one of the Barons of Weissland. What Fredrick does manipulate is his magic, in fact he tries not to explicitly state his...specialty, as a shadowmancer. It is known that the lad has on several occasions lied about his magic similar to his other siblings, when isn't too far fetch when one thinks about it. Still, one may say that Fredrick does tend to have good intentions. Fredrick always appears to be patient with people, taking the time to listen to their problems and giving feedback if he can. Fact is, Fredrick has been known to stick neck out for someone, even if it doesn't directly benefit him, almost always preferring to to play underdog if he could get away with it. It is also said, however, that one is to be wary of a shadowmancer, as they always appear to be more then on the surface...
Magic Specialty: "Upon the closest examination, nothing is truly as it seems. A shadow is not the perfect reflection of the man casting it. Nor is the man the perfect reflection of his own shadow." Commonly referred to as Shadowmancy, the lore of illusion, confusion, and concealment. Shadowmancy, then, is the catchall term given to describe the arts of illusionism, which is the branch of magic dealing with the deception of the senses. Shadowmancers seem to bring nightmares alive and the sweetest dreams into reality, masters of appearances and sculpting lies. On the flip side, knowing the tricks of deception helps those whom possess the power to recognize when the deception is being used itself, especially if it's of a magical nature.

Fredrick is currently skilled at creating an exact copy of himself and manipulating it. However, he himself needs to concentrate on the illusion, else the illusion will fall through. Fredrick can do the same for others, but he'd need to know the mannerisms of another individual, or else the illusion comes out janky. It's easier for inanimate objects, although have familiarity with the object can help strengthen the illusion. Alternatively, Fredrick can use his illusions as triggers, say a fireball was lobed at him, he could create a copy and quickly dodge backwards, allowing the copy to set off the fireball. Fredrick can also clock himself and smaller objects and make either appear to be blending into the background. An additional thing that should be mentioned is Fredrick's ability to mask or change his scent, and to a certain extent the scent of others.

Most of these illusions and concealment that Fredrick can do aren't suspicious from afar. However, the closer one gets to one the more they'll be able to see through the illusion. A keen eye can see through the illusion at mid-range, and at close most people can see through illusions that Fredrick has created for the first time or even his clocking magic. Furthermore, Fredrick doesn't posses the ability to create an illusion and clock at the same time nor create an illusion and mask his smell. At the level Fredrick's at, he still needs to learn about the uses of telepathy and shadow magic of the craft.

That said, Fredrick can see through most beginner illusions and some intermediate illusioanry magic, even resisting the effects of some, but will still fall prey to intermediate to advanced level shadowmancy magic.
Skills:
Dualist- A fighting style that requires a keen eye, a will to adapt, and patience. A dualist is relies on his agility and speed as a form of attack and defense, defending with dodges or parries, before coming back for a counter-attack or striking the opponent where they are weakest.
Marksmen- Capable of utilizing firearms of all sorts and capable of landing his shots on even far-away moving targets. Usually favors utilizing rifles.
Pathfinder- Spending time hunting as a child has taught the lad how to read the land and navigate through it's various terrains.
Rogue- Running with the "wrong" crowed meant learning a new set of skills, including various slight-of-hand tricks, sneaking around places he shouldn’t be, lock picking, and a greater capability of verticality then the average person.
Mimicry-
Throwing your voice is quite useful, weather to help disguise one's self or to cause a distraction. No magic required.
Minor Alchemy- Knows how to mix together various potions to cure...or poison.
History: Fredrick von Kleinheisterkamps, the boy everyone forgot about.

Okay, well more specifically, the youngest son of the current Baron von Kleinheisterkamps and Grandmaster of the Order of the Hoch. You'd think being a knockoff prince would make you somewhat of a big deal, but even as a toddler, most of Fredrick's family wasn't around to really support him. Everyone was always so busy, as most of his family were people of importance to the Barony, this meant always being nearly always away from the capital city, often leaving Fredrick back in the city with caretakers...and because of this...well to be honest, Fredrick never really blamed any of them for not being their for him...maybe he had learned from a young age that his family's jobs was beyond just him...that, or it was the amount of freedom he had as a child that result of the lack of attention from his family. Still, Fredrick's life wasn't completely devoid of family, two people being some of the most important people of his life: Fredrick's Grandfather and his fourth oldest sibling, Baldwin von Kleinheisterkamp

Fredrick's grandfather was on his mother, the Grandmaster. side of the family. Formally an officer whom had served in the Hochland army, the old veteran was not only dear to both his mother and his father, he practically helped raised all of their children when they were never around. Fredrick's grandfather had taken care of young Fredrick for as long as he could have remembered. Fredrick's grandfather had taught him everything he knew, from how to fire various firearms to how to fight with a blade, and Fredrick enjoyed spending time with his Grandfather. Fredrick loved hearing the old man share the various tales of the past, some of which involved Fredrick's own parents, others involved the old geezer himself. But it was only with Fredrick did he share the love for hunting. Fredrick still remembers the days where his grandfather would bring him out to hunt for game, or simply take him out camping in the woods. Fredrick's grandfather was his role model, a man whom he'd wouldn't forget for the rest of the life...

The other important person in Fredrick's life was Baldwin, whom was already peculiar enough, dabbling in state politics and foreign affairs, rather then pursing a more partial career. Part of the reason why Fredrick and Baldwin was so close was because Baldwin was the only family(apart from both of their grandparents) who was often in the capital city, thus Baldwin would often visit his younger when he had a chance. However, a bigger reason, perhaps, that the two were so close was perhaps impart because of their shared affinity for...shadowmancy. Fact is, there was a reason Baldwin was such a good statesmen, and it wasn't pure charisma that got him where he was. Baldwin taught Fredrick what he knew, and this extended beyond just magic; these were all things that dabbled in the complexities that was politics...

Life would go on for Fredrick, although there were some hiccups along the way. Most(if not all) of his siblings at a young age were enrolled to be either a cadet at the military school back home or to become a squire of the Knightly Order. Both of Fredrick's parents when he came of age kinda...forgot to enroll him as either. So, Fredrick continued to be regularly home-schooled by tutors, and practiced with his grandfather until he...well...let's just say life went on for Fredrick...leading up to his teenage phase.

It was during his adolescent years where he became...more of a delinquent. Granted, the lad wouldn't miss his boring lectures or his physical training, but he was no longer satisfied with staying on the premise of his family's home; the world was much more beyond those gates. And truth be told, none of the staff stopped him for venturing out into the city. Yeah, he joined a gang of delinquent teenagers, who'd roam about the city being the terror and nuisance of the neighborhoods. But it these years spent roaming the streets that taught him more about the world, about his people, and most importantly, about himself. Yet soon, the city became just as confined as his family manor was...it didn't take him too much time to long to see what was over the horizon.

The opportunity came as Fredrick grew out of his adolescence, an opportunity that Baldwin had brought to him: A chance to see the greater world outside of the Barony, which sounded quite intriguing. It'll also help to hone his skills in his magic, somthing that may had to have been circumstantial in the Barony.

Thus, comes the close to of the chapters in Fredrick's book, and the beginning of another...
Equipment:
The Hawk's Talon- An heirloom of the Barony capable of being infused with magic of the wielder.
O'l Reliable- A bayonet from Fredrick's old mentor. A weapon that can be used as either a dueling dagger or fitted onto a rifle and used in it's proper form.
Hochland Bolt-Action Service Rifle+Scope- A finely Hochland made bolt-action rifle that is a perfect blank canvas for either technological or magical modifications and upgrades. Comes with a scope that can be adjusted to the iron-sights in order combat at shorter range. A bayonet can be attached, transforming the weapon into a polearm.
Hochland Service Pistol- Finely crafted, but not exactly a world ending weapon. Nevertheless, a good companion to have, especially as a backup.
Pocket Watch- Good for telling the time.
A Set of Dice- Self-explanatory, although be wary when your playing with Fredrick...he's never lost a game...
Minor Alchemy Kit- More items to mix together, rather deadly...and explosive...stuff.

Other:
-A hawk named "Wilhelm", whom is one of Fredrick's most trusted companion. The lad and the hawk can communicate with each other, making him helpful for scouting. Wilhelm will participate in combat as often as he can, but only if the opportunity comes up.

Name:
Birth: Manneo
Nickname: Sharp-Mage
Clan:Thuliaga
Race:
A typical goliath is larger than the largest half-orc. Most stand between 7 and 8 feet tall and weigh between 280 and 340 pounds. Unlike with most other races, there is no appreciable difference in height or weight between male and female goliaths. Goliaths have gray skin, mottled with dark and light patches that goliath shamans say hint at a particular goliath's fate. Lithoderms—coin-sized bone-and-skin growths as hard as pebbles—speckle their arms, shoulders, and torso. Their skulls have a jutting eyebrow ridge, wide jaw, and occasional lithoderms as well. Female goliaths have dark hair on their heads, grown to great length and always kept braided. Male goliaths generally have hair only on their limbs. Goliaths' eyes are a brilliant blue or green, and they often seem to glow a little from underneath their furrowed brows.

Because their skin mottling has cultural significance, goliaths generally dress as lightly as possible, displaying their skin patterns for all to see. For the same reason, few goliaths would willingly get a tattoo—to draw on one's skin is tantamount to trying to rewrite one's fate. Goliaths instead decorate themselves with jewelry, often sporting ear, nose, or brow rings. A goliath's lithoderms are also common places to embed a gem or two, since they have few nerve endings and stand out on the goliath's body already.

Every day brings a new challenge to a goliath. Food, water, and shelter are rare in the uppermost mountain reaches. A single mistake can bring doom to an entire tribe, while an individual’s heroic effort can ensure the entire group’s survival.
Goliaths thus place a premium on self-sufficiency and individual skill. They have a compulsion to keep score, counting their deeds and tallying their accomplishments to compare to others. Goliaths love to win, but they see defeat as a prod to improve their skills.
This dedication to competition has a dark side. Goliaths are ferocious competitors, but above all else they are driven to outdo their past efforts. If a goliath slays a dragon, he or she might seek out a larger, more powerful wyrm to battle. Few goliath adventurers reach old age, as most die attempting to surpass their past accomplishments.

Among goliaths, any adult who can’t contribute to the tribe is expelled. A lone goliath has little chance of survival, especially an older or weaker one. Goliaths have little pity for adults who can’t take care of themselves, though a sick or injured individual is treated, as a result of the goliath concept of fair play.
A permanently injured goliath is still expected to pull his or her weight in the tribe. Typically, such a goliath dies attempting to keep up, or the goliath slips away in the night to seek the cold will of fate.
In some ways, the goliath drive to outdo themselves feeds into the grim inevitability of their decline and death. A goliath would much rather die in battle, at the peak of strength and skill, than endure the slow decay of old age. Few folk have ever meet an elderly goliath, and even those goliaths who have left their people grapple with the urge to give up their lives as their physical skills decay.
Because of their risk-taking, goliath tribes suffer from a chronic lack of the experience offered by long- term leaders. They hope for innate wisdom in their leadership, for they can rarely count on a wisdom grown with age.

Every goliath has three names: a birth name assigned by the newborn’s mother and father, a nickname assigned by the tribal chief, and a family or clan name. A birth name is up to three syllables long. Clan names are five syllables or more and end in a vowel.
Birth names are rarely linked to gender. Goliaths see females and males as equal in all things, and they find societies with roles divided by gender to be puzzling or worthy of mockery. To a goliath, the person who is best at a job should be the one tasked with doing it.
A goliath’s nickname is a description that can change on the whim of a chieftain or tribal elder. It refers to a notable deed, either a success or failure, committed by the goliath. Goliaths assign and use nicknames with their friends of other races, and change them to refer to an individual’s notable deeds.
Goliaths present all three names when identifying themselves, in the order of birth name, nickname, and clan name. In casual conversation, they use their nickname.
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Homeland: The Theocracy of Obann (Deep remote mountains)
Appearance: Image
"Sharp" Is nearly seven and a half feet tall with light grey skin covered in dark brown molting. Some of his molting takes the shape of various arcane symbols in particular those related to force magic. He has bright green eyes that technically have a tiny glow. While he is tall and all muscle it is an athletic runners build rather than a weight lifter. He tends to wear leather pants reinforced at the knees and seams. The only other things he tends to wear is a bandolier to keep his large axe on his back, and to slot small knives or tools into the pouches of along with a belt with some spell focuses.

Personality:
"Sharp" is in all honest a bit of a nerd. At least by goliath standards. He often has his nose in a book in many ways focusing on his studies is all that he does, an immense amount of pressure has been put upon him. The only way he feels he can manage that is by striving for improvement focusing on the tiny individual task in front of him rather then the high expectations of his people. Which is a large stress always at the back of his mind. This can make him seem a bit curt and if not rude impatient with others. What he really wants is to be trying to live up to what is expected of him so distractions, which other people often are, are getting in the way of that. So he is driven, granted the thing driving him is also a massive source of stress that may break him eventually and the cracks are already starting to show.

All in all he is a traditional goliath, raised so deeply within the culture. He values competition quite highly often competing against his mentors and tutors normally losing but a very informative loss is still a good thing and he tried to take it with some pride. His culture put the idea of survival of the fitest in him, leaving him little compassion for weakness that one choose in one way or another.

Magic Specialty: Force Magic
He is skilled in magical evocation of raw physical force. Which as an "Element" has several advantages, mostly in that it is by most magical measures not counted as magic.
He in particular is skilled at using it to create shields with his free hand while empowering his axe to make it hit harder and cut deeper with magically granted sharpness.

While he is quite skilled and powerful in his very limited domain he is however incredibly limited. He can shoot a bolt of force that is incredibly sharp but he lacks the massive aoe, or larger scale ranged combat that most mages specialize. He can not protect, buff or debuff others. He can not summon or do any of the other many various things mages can do.

He lacks the massive amounts of Aoe, utility or versatility other mages have. Having traded it all for a very particular, very focused magical skill set.

Skills:
Axe Combat: The traditional method of goliath combat, they favor large "hand and a half axes" which they switch between using two handed or one handed drawing or throwing knives, or grappling with the free hand. Using their size and power to wield a larger weapon than normally possible. He in particular was trained by one of the greatest warriors his people has and was made to duel with a wooden axe daily to get some experience. While he is many years away from being a master he is far more skilled than most his young age, escpecially in a magical academy.

Fell Running: The traditonal method of goliath travel using their height to set an incredible pace with their large gait. He like all Goliath learned to run in some of the worst terrain in the world.

Traditional Goliath Dance of Seduction: He is 17 once her completes an appropriate feat he can preform to dance to the one he intends to court, which may be difficult so very very far from home.

History:
His molting in particular sealed his fate. It showed a particular fate to the tribal elders, a greatly skilled mage, a legendary hero, one who uses force magic and that he would be the one to stop the empire. It was one hell of a fate to put on a baby. However at the same time he was the son of two skilled mages, both of which had a light specialization in force magic.

Putting it together things fit in their own way. The goliaths were being wiped out by the empire, they wanted a champion, a Goliath champion who would be seen to push back the empire. So maybe his marks were exaggerated, maybe they were not. Some of them do look like symbols related to his magic but he suspects the elders decided to build a hero even if the fates did not give them. Still he will never know for certain and in his quietest hours he thinks that is for the best. So he grew up with every tutor and advantage his tribal people could, borrow, steal buy or otherwise scrounge up.

From his earliest days he was tutored in magic theory. His bed time stories were arcane lectures from his parents. He learned to read young because of tutoring, and as soon as he could he was reading arcane tomes. Many of which were being rewritten to fit a child better as fast as he was reading them. And to the elders credit he did show talent, but that may have been due to genetics and tutoring.

Over the years he rapidly improved, but that was largely by throwing money at it for tutors and useful tomes. The goliath tribes had been decimated which had consolidated them and normally they brought there wealth and things of value with them. Leaving the remainders with a lot of blood money, but money none the less. Which is why he was sent to the academy. Because the experts and tomes his tribe and the other tribes could buy could only take him so far. So he is the first of his kind to leave the mountain ranges they call home, at least the first the tribe still admits exist.

Equipment:
Large Two handed Axe (That he can use one handed due to his size)
Spell Component belt
Bag full of books and notes on force magic
Knife
Traditional Goliath Armor

Name: Vivian Algrave

Race: Human (Quarter Elf)

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Homeland: The Republic of Bastiel

Appearance: Vivian stands at 5'7" with long brown hair that would go past her backside, if she didn't keep it tied up. She has a fit and strong form, for a girl, and it's easy to tell that she has trained her body, although she still has a refined feminine figure. Her eyes have an unnatural golden hue, a trait from an ancestor long since passed, that has skipped generations. She carries herself in a strong and dignified manner, her demeanor matching more of a Knight than that of Duke's daughter. She does have a scar on her over her left hip where she took a rather serious blow during a sparring session with the Knight Corps, but she managed to keep the whole affair from ever reaching the eyes or ears of her father. She has an air of authority about her, but it's not so much for her status as it is for the fact that she is a brawler at heart and has a headstrong personality.

Personality: Combative by nature, she is not one to play well, often, with others. She believes, strongly, that actions speak louder than words, and is more likely to act first then ask permission or apologize later. She can be extremely and apologetically forward, and at the same time she can be silent and observant. However, she is not one to back down from a challenge or to let someone think that they've gotten the upper hand on her. She's headstrong but still manages to have a good head on her shoulders. She's loyal to those that she deems have earned it, and she is one to hold grudges against those that would do her, or those she cares about, harm. She can be impulsive, loud and obnoxious, but she can also be calculating, caring, and logical.

Magic Specialty: At the time of entering the Dominion Academy, Vivian had become an experienced summoner and brawler. She has a solid foundation in Alchemy, which she uses through her gauntlets, which act as a conduit, the magical stones embedded in each, aiding her.
Beast Summoning: Summons a beast or beasts of her choosing. The more beasts summoned the more concentration and energy they drain from the user.

Bojak is sturdy and strong, but slow. He's good for knocking down a barricade or dealing with a rush mob. Lulu is fast and vicious, a great partner to have when dealing with a crowd of people or when needing to scale a high wall and cause a diversion within. Violet is a Support summons; she has the ability to cast a small area heal and she can give her summoner a view of what she sees, if she is doing something covert or flying over an area. Pixie is a little bigger than your average mouse; she is extremely quick and very silent. Her specialty is getting into places unnoticed, despite her bright-coloring. She is great at getting into locked rooms and retrieving items that are otherwise locked away. Jahpa is swift and has incredible endurance, which is good since Jahpa's IQ is low. Jahpa is a great companion and distraction because he can both fight for a long time and is unpredictable...and much like a hyena, Jahpa seems to chuckle a lot. Ezra is all business. A quick and efficient killer, Ezra is like a veteran assassin. He goes for the most efficient strikes and kills, and he does so quickly and without much hesitation. Grim is a being of darkness that feeds off the negative emotions of the summoner. It is a byproduct of their inner darkness and grows stronger as the user does. Grim attacks opponents using darkness attacks; shadow spikes and shadow web. If she ever uses Grim, it means that things have become dire.

As far as her Transmutation abilities, she usually uses her gauntlets as a conduit, strengthening them or changing their composition, depending on the situation at hand.

Skill: Unarmed combat is her forte. She's a rough and tough girl and likes to take battles into close quarters and crush her opponent with overwhelming force. Unlike a barbarian, however, there is a Knight's grace to her fighting style, even if, in the end, she is ultimately pounding them into the ground. Her fighting style isn't simply punching, but she can certainly fight and armed opponent with nothing in hers.

History: Vivian is the eldest daughter of a Duke, who serves as a liaison between the Allied Nations , although she doesn't take after them that much in regards to diplomacy. Early in life she took an interest in magic, summoning magic to be precise, and managed to summon her first beast,Violet, at 7 years old. Always the free-spirited daughter and extremely tomboyish in nature, Vivian could either be found furthering her magic in the countryside or training among the Knights Order. By her teenage years, she had amassed quite the group of summons and had turned into quite the brawler herself. However, her tomboy nature made it so that her father wasn't inclined to name her as the heir to the family estate and business, regardless of her being the eldest child. All of that, in the end, was great news to Vivian, as she much preferred her freedom and the ability to do as she pleased. Her family name, lineage and personality made her the easy choice of children to go to the Academy to further grow her abilities so that she could help defend their country in the future. She was an experienced Summoner and Fighter, though barehanded was her forte. Her summoned beasts became like her second-family, as she formed a great bond with them. Her abilities came as a shock to most, but not to her father.

Her family is more known for their diplomacy than their magical capabilities, so it was a relief of sorts, to them, that Vivian had taken to being the more confrontational type. However, this led to a vary rowdy household. Regardless, Vivian was ecstatic to learn that she was going to be going to the academy, looking forward to what it had to offer and the new people she would meet. She was really looking forward to meeting other races, having been kept from interactions with other races by her father's doing. She may have been headstrong, a good fighter and summoner, but she wasn't willing to put other's lives in danger just to get what she wanted. While she does definitely have a wild side, she was still raised under a diplomatic household, so she knows when things have been pushed to a near breaking-point.

*Equipment: Light enchanted clothing; temperature regulator, small impact absorption, and small element resistance. Gauntlets that she had made
1554251576183.png

Other: Unbeknownst to her father or brothers, Vivian dated the Knight Captain for a few years, who was a female. She has no real preference when it comes to a partner as long as there is mutual respect. She also has a fondness for reading, though nobody would really know, since she hides that fact and tends to not let anyone, aside from her summons, ever see her just lounging with a book. She often times Summons one of her beasts just to enjoy their company, choosing their company over that of others. She can be a bit standoffish with strangers, unless a fight is involved, but once she warms up to a group, she's ready to get things rolling. She also did pick up the habit of smoking Dwarven cigars, a habit that she got from hanging around the Knight Corps for too long. The taste is smooth, but it packs a punch. Those guys really know how to make their stuff.

Name: Rin Dhorhan
Race: Human
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Homeland: Weissland

Appearance: Rin is slightly below average height, standing at about 5'4 with a slim figure. She has mild but noticeable curves and somewhat pale skin which is a couple of tones darker than the snow that covers her home at Rittersburg. Her face is somewhat round with a round button nose. She has bright blue eyes and light brown hair that goes down just beneath her shoulders. Rin's left thigh and forearm have a couple of small scars on them caused by her falling from a tree when she was younger. She also has a longer, deeper scar on her upper back from an injury sustained when her first home burned down. Rin got herself two tattoos: a tribal pattern that runs down from the top of her right ribs to her waist along the side of her body, and a small and simple wolf head design on the back of her neck which she always covers with her hair.

Personality: Rin has always been a bit of an odd case. She originally suffered from incredibly low self-esteem as a result of her considerably larger peers growing up and she constantly thought she'd have to make a stronger individual (she has no preference) fall in love with her in order to get anywhere in life. Since discovering her talents, however, Rin has gained considerably more confidence and no longer thinks she has to rely on her looks as her ticket to a secure future. Rin has become a self-assured and confident person who isn't afraid of speaking up anymore. That's not to say her past self doesn't show, particularly when faced with someone she instinctively feels is a lot stronger than her. Beyond that, Rin is fairly talkative and can be somewhat sarcastic, but she isn't overly friendly with people. She just has a problem with complete silence usually and feels the need to say something to fill the void. Rin can be a little bit hotheaded and prone to act but always makes sure to have some sort of plan even if it is a little half-baked. She doesn't have much of an outgoing temper, and most people will not know that they've made her upset, but Rin never forgets anything. Whether or not she acts on this is entirely up to how angry she gets.

Magic Specialty: Rin is what is known as a Martial Soul, which means that she's primarily a fighter who can channel magic through her weapons. She has bonded with one of her knives (both of which she dual wields regularly) and her bow. Using her blade, she's able to cast elemental spells such as lightning bolts without needing a free hand. Rin can, instead of performing the motions required to cast a spell with her hand, perform motions with her weapons which will allow her to cast the spell she wishes to cast. She can also infuse her knife with elemental energy to make her attacks deal more damage. With her bow, Rin can either choose to shoot targets from afar regularly, infuse her shots with elemental magic (she's not incredibly adept at this and can't pull it off all the time), or infuse her bow with elemental energy/cast spells if she needs to fight melee. It must be noted that her ability to infuse her weapons with magic is limited to that specific blade and that specific bow, and cannot be done with other weapons, nor can she change the weapons she's bound her magic to. Her main magical focus is on elemental spells, primarily electricity-based ones. These spells exist to compliment her lack of size and strength should her skill with the blades not prove enough to defeat her foe. Other than this, she knows some alchemy, which she uses to create poisons to lace her ranged weapons with in order to kill targets without direct confrontation, but she never learned to mix potions or other concoctions.

Skills:
Dual wielding/blade dueling- Rin is incredibly proficient with her two knives and she's capable of dual wielding them with ease. What she lacks in strength she makes up for with her pinpoint precision strikes and her speed, and her small frame allows her to weave around larger enemies' defenses to reach their soft underbelly.
Staff dueling- While not her primary choice of melee weapon, Rin is capable of using her bow to fight as if it were an oddly-shaped staff, and is also a capable staff wielder.
Knife throwing- Beyond melee combat, Rin is capable of throwing her smaller blades accurately and quickly, which is useful when her opponent is a ranged fighter but isn't far enough away to merit shooting.
Marksmanship- Rin can shoot incredibly accurately and quickly with her bow, but is also capable with crossbows. While she rarely uses firearms, she can handle herself with a pistol.
Pickpocketing- Rin learned to take things from people quietly and without bloodshed, and is quite adept at pickpocketing.
Stealth- Not really a "skill" per se, but her size makes her nimble and difficult to detect for most people. She is, however, not undetectable by any means.

History: Rin was born in Weissland in the capital city of Rittersburg. She always had what she needed in her home, as her parents were able to provide for her adequately and her three brothers would always help her out. Not only that, but most people around her always found her to be beautiful on some level or another, which Rin grew to consider a key part of her as a person. To most people, it would have appeared as though Rin lead a perfect life and had no real problems of her own, but most people would have been wrong. Part of her appeal to some of the boys around her was her biggest source of internal turmoil: her size. Growing up, Rin was constantly surrounded by her brothers and their friends, all of whom were older and bigger than her. The fact that her father was a former special operative didn't help matters, as it was pretty much expected that all of his children would grow up to be as strong as he was.

This meant that Rin was always overlooked and rarely participated in any combat exercises with her siblings due to her size and lack of strength. Rin was constantly pushed to the side and suffered from severe self-esteem issues as a result, and she never thought that she'd be able to live up to what was expected of her. This changed when a new family came to town around the time she turned 8. They were wolf beastkin who had visited Rittersburg on some sort of official business the matriarch of the family was on. The important thing about this family was the 10-year-old boy they'd brought with them, named Mikhail. For some reason (most people think it's because he was attracted to Rin) he took an interest in her and approached her. They spoke for a number of days until Rin finally revealed her insecurity to him. He decided that he would take her to the home they were staying at and try to spar with her to teach her basic melee combat. This was when Rin realized that she had a special affinity for the martial arts, particularly when it came to melee weapons. Since that day, Mikhail and Rin continued meeting up to train together for the following 3 months until his family's trip was over. At that point, Rin had become capable with a blade and she didn't want to have to go back to the way her life was before Mikhail.

After a lot of begging and arguing, Rin managed to convince her parents to allow her to go off with Mikhail's family as a "training camp" since her parents couldn't be bothered to train her since she was very far behind her older brothers. Thus her life in the barony of the White Fox began. For the next 8 years, Rin would live with Mikhail, training with him and his friends, all of whom were slated to enter the military when they came of age. With him, Rin honed her skills and discovered that she is a Martial Soul and has a special affinity for melee combat and infusing it with magic. She also trained with lots of other weapons, eventually deciding to specialize in her knife-fighting and a bow and arrow. Despite her original aversion to firearms, Mikhail managed to convince her to at least try them out, at which point she found that she somewhat enjoyed using pistols. She visited her parents every once in a while to show them how she'd improved and had even managed to defeat one of her brothers a few times during sparring, and she was even regaining her confidence. Mikhail's friends even took her around the heavily populated areas and taught her how to pickpocket people, arguing that it would be a useful skill for any soldier but Rin suspected they just wanted free stuff that their parents wouldn't get for them, or that they just wanted to piss people off. Regardless, she went along with it and quickly learned the skill.

This life continued until she turned 16 and Mikhail turned 18, at which point he was sent off to Dominion Academy to train to be a soldier. Before being sent off, however, Mikhail gave Rin a necklace his parents had made for him when he was younger as a way for her to always remember him and to give them a reason to see each other again so she could return it. Rin was still allowed to live with his family for another year until they received some troubling news. Unfortunately, Mikhail and his squad had failed out after a little over a year and were sent to the Joint Alliance Forces to reinforce a border. One night an attack fell upon that particular region of the border and Mikhail and his crew were caught off-guard. He was killed in action and the JAF managed to find and send his body back to his family. Devastated by the news and angry at the constant reminder that Rin's presence was of their lost son, they decided to give her enough money to make it back to Rittersburg and send her off. Rin walked out that day silent and distraught, having said no words nor shed any tears for her lost "friend." Mikhail wasn't a friend of Rin by that point, he was her lifelong companion, and she had lost him forever. Unsure of what to do or how to deal with her emotions, Rin walked aimlessly for a couple of months. She'd occasionally buy things she needed, but would immediately pickpocket the people around her to recover the money she'd spent.

During that time, Rin did a lot of dumb things, with people she'd rather not run into again, in a futile effort to somehow cope with her loss. She even got herself 2 tattoos to remind herself of her struggles and her fallen companion. After she got tired of her aimless life and realized the position she'd gotten herself in she ran off to the Weissland countryside to think for a day. She meditated on Mikhail, her family, her friends, and everything she'd learned to do. Rin quickly realized that she could no longer live like that and needed to make sure Mikhail's efforts to make her become somebody weren't for nothing. She returned to Rittersburg and headed straight home, where she remained for a number of months training and honing her skills. She was determined to be the best she could be and fighting was the way to do that for her. When she turned 18, she told her parents that she wanted to follow in her brothers' steps and join Dominion Academy, which they gladly accepted. In reality, this was her way of repaying Mikhail and ensuring that he didn't die in vain. Rin grabbed her weapons and equipment, clutched Mikhail's pendant, and made her way to Dominion to start her life.

Equipment:
Mikhail's Pendant- The necklace depicting the moon her dear friend wore when he was alive, which she now refuses to take off. No other special qualities.
Wolf's Fang- The blade Rin magically bonded to. It's a medium-sized blade somewhere between a knife and a shortsword.
Windsplitter- The bow Rin magically bonded to. It's a longbow which is on the smaller end and is made of light, malleable metal.
Blade- The twin blade of Wolf's Fang, which isn't infused with magic.
Alchemy Satchel- Rin carries a small satchel with a few ingredients and small bottles where she can put the poisons she concocts.
Pistol- Rin doesn't use it often, but she does carry a pistol with bullets in case she needs a more powerful projectile to fire into her enemies.

Other: Rin's tattoos have significance to her, with the wolf, in particular, having to do with her beastkin friend who died.

Name: Ajax Gearheart
Race: Lightning Genasi
Age: 19
Gender: male
Homeland: , The United Baronies of Weissland
Appearance: Ajax's appearance seems fitting for someone who wants to take over the world. He stands at about 6'4" and bears a rather muscular build. His hair is a dark brown and his eyes are a deep blue. He keeps his rather angular face cleanly shaven. His complexion bears a pale complexion. There is almost always a smile on his face and a red cloak around his broad shoulders. His posture speaks of an uncanny amount of confidence.

Personality: Ajax has a personality befitting of someone who wants to take over the world. He's boisterous, he's loud, and he's larger than life in all pursuits. His laugh is as loud as the crack of thunder and some have said his smile is as wide as the moon itself. Such traits are born out of sincerity, one of his most treasured virtues. He believes trust is earned, but not without opportunity. He'll be the one to open up first. Once that trust is earned, he's loyal to the bitter end under the presumption that loyalty is returned to him. Just as he'll do anything to accomplish his dream, so to will he do anything for his loyal retainers. In combat, he will likely take point and charge headlong into the fray, so long as he has the trust in his allies that they will have his back. This is not to say he won't have a plan, he just prefers the direct approach. He isn't afraid to use ruthlessness or cunning to achieve victory. After all, anything goes when you try to take over the world. All that said, buried deep beneath the smiles and the ambition is a deep rooted anxiety, a scar left behind form the blitz. He never lets this side of him show to anyone under any circumstances.

Magic Specialty: Ajax's arcane specialization is one befitting someone who wants to take over the world. From his patron, he has received the gift of what he has personally dubbed "inspiration magic". It is a form of transmutation the effects a living creature's physical attributes. With it, he may grant multiple creatures enhanced abilities, skills or traits. Additionally, through study and determination, Ajax had learned some evocation that allows him to call forth and control lightning.

Skills: The martial art of the warforged (involving both hand-to-hand and swordsmanship), knowledge of warforged anatomy, strategy, and (oddly enough) sewing.

History:

"Hey there..."

"Who are you?"

"I'm afraid I can't give specifics. Just know that I am here to help..."

"To help? What are you going to do, say you're sorry for my loss? I've heard that enough today and it dosen't bring her back!"

"Your mother was a good person, and I am sorry for her passing, but that is not why I am here..."

"Why then?"

"Because you have a fire in your heart that is about to burn out to tragedy. I cannot let that happen."

"Could you be a little more specific?"

"You want to take over the world. You always have-"

"How did you-"

"You have never been able to explain it. All you know is that your heart longs for conquest. But now, with the passing of your mother, you doubt yourself..."

"...Am I really that easy to read?"

"I just have my ways"

"Yeah well, it isn't self doubt, it's realism. I'm a nobody, I'm weak, how am I supposed to take over the world?"

"That is where I come in..."

"You mean-"

"Yes, I am going to help you."

"Again I have to ask, how?"

"Have you ever heard of a warlock?"

Since that day, since the funeral, since that conversation, Young Ajax embarked on his quest. armed with the power of inspiration, he set out to prepare himself for conquest. Shortly after his mother's funeral, he was adopted by the baron of Canith, A warforged named Gearheart. The golem had owed Ajax's family a favor from the war, and this was the payoff. Gearheart spent the next five years of the armistice raising and training Ajax in the martial art that was ingrained in his circuits, as well as the arcane arts. But there was only so much the aging mech could teach. So, Ajax set off to Dominion Academy, where he intends to garner allies and skills he would need for his glorious quest.

Equipment: Right retractible arm-blade gauntlet, left electromancer's gauntlet, A half fur/half red cloak.

Name: ആസിഡ് ഗോബ്ളിൻ
Race: Goblin
are a race of childlike creatures with a destructive and voracious nature that makes them almost universally despised. Weak and cowardly, goblins are frequently manipulated or enslaved by stronger creatures that need destructive, disposable foot soldiers. Those goblins that rely on their own wits to survive live on the fringes of society and feed on refuse and the weaker members of more civilized races. Most other races view them as virulent parasites that have proved impossible to exterminate.Goblins can eat nearly anything, but prefer a diet of meat and consider the flesh of humans and gnomes a rare and difficult-to-obtain delicacy. While they fear the bigger races, goblins’ short memories and bottomless appetites mean they frequently go to war or execute raids against other races to sate their pernicious urges and fill their vast larders. Of note their terrible appetite is caused by an incredible metabolism, they mature and heal incredibly rapidly and even act with an incredible quickness that makes them all the more destructive little pest.

A rare few goblins live long enough and meet some unknown requirements to go through a second puberty where they grow another foot and a half or two sometimes hitting 5 feet, and growing in weight to almost match the average adult male. Such "Hobgoblins" are extremely rare and only come from a long life of successful violence as such they are normally hunted and killed.

Society: Violent but fecund, goblins exist in primitive tribal structures with constant shifts in power. Rarely able to sustain their own needs through farming or hunting and gathering, goblin tribes live where food is abundant or near places that they can steal it from. Since they are incapable of building significant fortifications and have been driven out of most easily accessible locations, goblins tend to live in unpleasant and remote locations, and their poor building and planning skills ensure that they dwell primarily in crude caves, ramshackle villages, and abandoned structures.
Age:17
Gender: Male
Homeland: The Aurelian Empire
Appearance:
He is a short, ugly humanoids that stand just over 3 feet tall and almost forty pounds. His lanky body has a thin athletic build with more defined than large muscle and is topped with an over-sized and hairless head with massive ears and beady red eyes. His skin tone is a light pale green. His voracious appetite is served well by their huge mouths filled with jagged teeth. His normal clothing is leather robes with crude steel plates bolted on a few places for additional protection. Normally his robes include both a belt and a bandolier both covered in pouches for various components He goes nowhere without his titanium staff which is covered in runes and sigils related to acid

Personality:
He is a goblin.
Which means he is a curious creature. However learning magic and his unusual life has only made him more eager to learn, well learn within his very focused interest.
He is a creature of extremes, knowing no middle ground relationships. Those he cares about he cares quite deeply about (presumably because they help him with his cause) those he doesn't care about may as well not exist. Those he dislikes he will not sleep until getting some vengeance (normally related to acid in some way).
He is cruel, but not without cause, though the cause may seem unreasonable for the level of vengeance (Eating a mans fingers because they kicked a dog)
Though for most people he simply ignores them with disinterest until they have proved interesting.

Magic Specialty: ACID
All of his notable magical skills are based around acid in one way or another. He does how ever have a wide variety in relation to acid.
He knows 3 runes (Creation of___) (Protection from____) and (Acid) Which he uses to generate acid through his staff, and protect his staff even further from acid.
He can preform conjuration to create non-magical components for acid or simply non magical acid though doing so is very tiring and he can only create about half a gallon this way at a time before needing to rest.
He knows a single transmutation spell which allows him to turn stone to acid. It is cheaper than the conjuration but the acid created is temporary and becomes broken stone afterwards.
His best skill is alchemy which he uses magical components, and anything else he can conjure to make permanent powerful acid, though it is time consuming and very mana expensive if he does not have all the components and has to rely on conjuration. All while giving fairly small amounts at a time.
He has mastered the acid splash spell to such an extent the orbs are larger, faster and he can shoot two at a time and is further working to make even more at once.
Finally his greatest spell is one he has learned only to cast unsuccessfully he attempts to summon a very large elemental of acid opening a portal to a plane of pure acid in the sky. He is no where near skilled or powerful enough though so after a few seconds of raining acid the portal explodes in a burst of acid and arcane back lash.

Skills:
Speak Common: He speaks the common tounge quite poorly having to translate big words in a series of small ones.
Chemistry: In relation to his alchemy he has become a somewhat skilled chemist within his very narrow focus, though he has never heard of lab safety and often makes his own lab explode with "Pear-in-mean-taste-in" .
Blacksmithing: Though not actually good, he is capable of turning ore into basic shapes and good like swords and simple armor plates.
Woodworking : Not actually skilled but competent enough to make a handle for a sword, a bow or a table.
Sling combat: Loves to throw acid vials, and this is currently his longest distance way or throwing his acid.
Sling shot: Never enough ways to shoot his acid he has also practiced with a sling shot.
Very Fast: Goblin metabolism means that his body is made to do more faster than most other races, though he requires far more food as well. Not only are goblins in general able to move, think (When they do) and act quite quickly he has practiced extensively with his spell casting to help his speed translate there.
Rapid Healing:As part of his enhanced metabolism he heals and recuperates very quickly.

History:
Very early in his life he was captured by the empire. They killed the others but they kept him alive as the youngest. He was used to show empire troops in training what a goblin actually looked like so they would not be surprised in battle, or skirmishes. Over time he learned their spoken language simply by immersion though he kept this secret, and after that it took a long time but having had sat through lectures on goblins, and seeing the black boards as the teacher spoke he eventually did something no goblin had ever done before. He learned to read. He had simply been taken to you and in a cage to long to not do anything he could out of sheer boredom.

He was set go one day. He did not know why but he made his way home to the swamps his people had guarded for centuries upon centuries. Upon his return he was welcomed and left to do what he wished. He had no formal place in the tribe and so he would find one or eventually be expelled. In his days wandering their caves he came across the room of stuff they had taken from people invading there swamp that they found no use for. It was filled with books. For centuries they had thought the books useless and through them in that room, which as luck would have it was very dry. He read and what he had discovered was a gold mine.

The various races of the world rarely ventured into their swamp because it was attuned to the elemental plane of acid, plants easily became acidic, sections of swamp water was actually acid, animals spit or could breath acid. For generations his tribe had simply endured because they had learned how to survive in such an area. However that meant that many things in the swamp could be used for alchemy, spell components, or focuses for acid magic. So the books they had brought with them were normally about acid related magic in one form or another.

After a few weeks his tribe tested him and he showed them magic. His strange way of reading would be ignored if it meant he was a mage, others still had no desire to learn (In fact they found the act disgusting) but it meant that he had a place in the tribe. For a long time he simply studied the books on acid magic and gathered components and materials. Among the useless things were vials and flask the mages had planned to use to hold acidic components much of it was titanium. As well as a bag of holding that they could never retrieve things from because they could not read the activation word inscribed on it. He had to kill a few goblins with acid but eventually he had it all reforged into a staff, that he then had to slowly and painstakingly carve and charge with runes to make it useful to him.

He also discovered a bit of dark magic in a scroll, to attune oneself to one element, at the cost of being unable to use others, it required a sacrifice though. While goblin lives are cheap, he found one who had slighted him recently and preformed the ritual. When he did so the scroll ignited into flames and was gone forever. He was covered in tattoos of acid runes and sigilis. Not only that he tested himself by cutting part away and yet he healed the tattoo back as well. His body considered them part of him now.

Then while reading he discovered something, a tracking spell and when he went through the test outlined in the book he found he was being tracked. He dispelled it but the damage was done, the empire was coming, they knew where the goblins where hiding now and had been using the spell to scry on him and see all the ways the goblins were able to travel and live safely in the swamp. He told his people to run, to flee and they would not, this was there home.

He packed all the books and tomes related to acid magic, along with as many acid related spell and alchemy components as he could into his bag of holding and left. A few days later the tribe was destroyed. He went to the nearest town, where he was almost attacked on sight before he started speaking the common tongue (albeit poorly). After a few days0 of showing off his magic and trying to enlist to fight the empire, a representative from the academy found him and offered him another path.

Equipment:
Titanium Staff of Acid
Leather Robes with steel plates for more protection
Small Bag of holding filled with library of acid magic basics.
Piles of acid alchemy ingredients
Piles of acid spell components/focuses.

Other:
Acid Rune Tattoos: He has enhanced capabilities with acid magic and is protected from acid damage, however he can never summon other elements (Summoning and evocation) and will find even indirect uses of other elements very difficult. In fact any non-acid related magic he finds more difficult not just because he is focused on acid, but because his mana is inherently "Flavored" like acid.
