Doctor Who 1x1

She laughed at his assessment. "No that just means we're moving" she said. The wheezing stopped and she loosened her grip on the control panel. She looked at him and motioned for him to follow her in the closet.

He walked over, slowly. "Well, I think there's some screw loose here..." He looked at her. "Hey, by the by, how are we gonna do this? Do we have camo or-" he almost tripped over an unmoved cable.

"Well..." He pointed to the monitor. "We are on earth. But we came from Gal-gal...G-something. I would suspect they look nothing like us!"

She laughed. "Actually they look almost exactly like us, on the outside at least, however, we do need to change clothes because I took us back to a time where jeans unfortunately did not exist." She said as she led him into the closet. "Luckily we have all the clothes we could need, probably more than necessary but at least we have options" she said gathering up Elizabethan era clothing.

He put them on reluctantly. "These are tight..." He said. "Can't imagine living in these clothes... Do humans wear these forever?"

"Thankfully not" she said as she came out in a huge unnecessarily puffy dress. "Fashion gets much more comfortable as time goes on." she said slipping on a pair of short heels. "Ready?" she asked.

"Ready..." He scratched his head. "I hope this isn't some joke..." He'd rather be an amnesiac again rather than live through this... He went to the door.

A bright light hit his eyes, and he covered his face for five seconds. The sound of hooves hitting the ground, clanking of metal, and incessant chatter. After a while, his vision came back to see 'Earth'. It was...interesting...

"Come on, If we hurry we can get a good spot to watch the coronation" she said as she stepped onto the cobblestone street nearly falling because of the heels.

"Is that a impor-" he saw her run away with haste. "Guess so..." He looked around to see many people jumping, singing, twirling around in dance. "So... I'm guessing... A birthday?" He bumped into a man carrying a crate. "Sorry!" He said to him. The man was young and strong-looking, but the crate seemed bigger. "Hey...." The man asked. "Can you... Help me...deliver this...to the castle...?" Courage nodded. "Yea, I was going there with my-" he lost her in the crowd. "Huh..." He shrugged. "Doesn't matter, I guess. I'll meet her there..." He picked up one side, and they decided to take the alleyways and hopefully avoid as much filth as possible.

She looked behind her to make sure he was keeping pace, but when she turned around he was gone. "Courage, Courage!" she called. 'Why did he always do this' she thought thinking about the other times he had gotten lost. She looked around everyone was already headed to the castle, if he was smart, and he usually was, he would follow the crowd. I decided to continue on my way and meet him there.

It took a while for them to reach the right side of the castle. After a while, he found out being a G-Ian didn't grant him superior strength. He looked, as many other crates were there. "By the by, may I ask you something?" He said to the crate-man. "I'm not from here, so... What's a coronation?" The man eyed him for a second to see if he was joking. "You'll see." He said. "Do you want to know what's in the box?" He said to Courage. "I found it in the caves around my village. It's a set of armor!" He said those words with glee. "Not just any armor, mind you! It's impervious to anything! You'll see, just watch! Me and my friends found some more! We will present it and be rich, but more importantly, preserve our queens crown and her rule, god bless her! But you'd best go find your friend, huh?" He pat him on the back. "Now off with you!" He said chuckling.

The castle yard was brimming with people and dresses, so many dresses! I needed to find Courage! The dresses spun around me tripping me and making it hard to find him in this abyss of satin. "Courage" I called out again. "Where are you?"

He saw her in the crowd. Sure, the abyss of satin was hard to get through, but seeing a stumbling semi-redhead screaming courage, that was easy. He walked up to her. "I'm here." He said to her. "Although I think I find it strange to go all this way just for a birthday...that's what these things are, right? Birthdays?" He felt like a fool if he was wrong, because he publicly might have announced that he had no Idea what the hell was going on.

She sighed out of relief glad that she had finally found him, but she really should have told him what they were going to, before they went out. "Not exactly, it's when a princess gets crowned and becomes queen" she said "It's really more of an anniversary thing, in the future people will hold celebrations on the date of the current queens coronation, called jubilees...Sorry I forgot you didn't know what a jubilee is? she said sheepishly. She felt awkward giving him explanations but she knew it had to be done.

"It sounds strange and awkward, most of all, unpleasant..." He said. He heard thou sounds of horns in the background. "I wager its starting now?" He said to her. Hordes of people stumbled in. "Lets go..." He said to her, and moved in. "Wonder what else the queens getting...." He mumbled to himself.

She bounced on the balls of her feet excited, but she had this nagging feeling in the back of her mind that something would go wrong. She sighed something always went wrong, but she just shrugged the feeling off and let herself enjoy the coronation.

"So this is important because of a girl?" He looked at her, waiting for the ceremony to start , trying to see over the multitudes of people. "This... Is strange..." He said, looking around. "So passive too...." He said, scratching his back.

She rolled her eyes, he may have lost his memory but he hadn't changed a bit. She was just lucky she had gotten him to go with her to such a thing, even with his memory lost! It might be stupid to do this all for one girl, but the history, the beauty, the human culture, lured her in every time.

He smiled at her, and yawned. As the ceremony started, Trumpets blared, jesters danced and sang. He's didn't care for it, really... It was a birthday, right? He couldn't grasp it.. He was happy however for the complementary food. He was hungry... Very hungry. He heard boxes and crates move in the room. "And now!" A tall, thin man in what seemed to be royal wear stepped out. It was strange to him that a man so skinny could be so loud...probably the room? "To present the gifts!" The man utters, to the smiles and applause of all the people.

It was beautiful! All the music, the dancing, and the food...well the food wasn't the best, but it was still quite good, especially for the time. She heard Courage's stomach rumble. Damn she had forgotten about food, she always forgot about food! She would have to make sure they got food after this. The presents were beautiful. Everything from fur to stunning jewels were given to the future queen. Her eyes swam with the beauty of it all. She was practically drowning in its beauty.

He hears the clanging of metal through the hall. The gift.... He said, smiling, deep down, he hoped they did impress her. He saw them, and took another sip of this bubbly drink... He liked it a lot...

She saw Courage's smile and asked, "Why are you smiling?" Normally he hated this type of thing.
