Do you want a cup of coffee? [Inactive]

Looking to the collapsed boy Tom half smiled. "And get him a cappuccino, please. He looks like he needs it." He then looked at the waitress, and smiled. Today was a good day, and he felt like being kind.

Jaime smiled at the man.

"Okay, sure. That's very nice of you, I'm sure he'll appreciate it. That comes to..." She paused to work out the math in her head. "That's eight fifty, sir." She glanced back at Rem for a moment, before taking the other man's payment and starting on his order.

Ren grinned again as his coffee was brought to him. Noticing the heart shape of the coffee, and the wink she gave him, Ren rose an eyebrow and winked back. Carefully placing his book back down onto the table, taking a sip of his coffee - no, latte. Ren glanced outside, the sight of all the snow making him shiver.

::The Brother and Sister walk threw the sidewalks of New york. Looking around at all the lights and buildings.::

::Lei walks ahead of his sister looking at the ground as he walks.:: "This is stupid Sakura, what is the point again of just walking down a sidewalk?"

::Sakura walks up to her brother and smiles.:: "Your missing the whole point Lei, Don't you feel something cool about this place? I don't know about you but I love it!"

::Lei glares at his sister.:: "Yeah I feel hungry.." ::Lei sighs::

As she handed the man - he was a regular, she knew, but she just couldn't remember his name - his hot chocolate and brownies with a smile, Jaime checked her watch. Dear lord, she hadn't even been on shift for half an hour yet. She quickly made a cappuccino, delivered it to the stressed out young boy, and returned to her spot behind the counter, pulling out her French study guide. She was engrossed, and, apart from the occasional glance at Rem, remained behind the counter, staring down at her book.

::Sakura glares at her brother:: "You are always hungry you pig." "Me the pig, really? Your the one that ate my lunch today so its kinda hard not to be hungry right now" ::Lei says as he looks over to a coffee shop. He points over to it and looks at his sister:: "I'm going to get something to eat and drink, If you want anything come with me, crazy girl." ::As Lei says this Sakura snaps back at him:: "Stop saying that, I'm not crazy!" ::She pouts as she follows her brother into the coffee shop::

Seeing the two bickering children Tom took a bite of his brownie and tried to enjoy the peace. This place was awesome, but he hated public areas. He pulled back his credit card and took a sip of his hot chocolate.

::Sakura walks over to a empty table while she looks at her brother head to the counter to place an order:: "He better not give me anything spicy.." ::Lei walks up to the counter and looks at the menu looking for a drink for him and wonders if there is anything spicy.

Sam looked up as the waitress set a caffeinated drink on the table. He grimaced at it. He hated the taste of coffee. He hoped no one would see him as he pretended to drink some. Upon seeing the two kids enter, he pulled the hood of the jacket he was wearing over his head, hoping they weren't from his school.

Ren glanced over at Jamie again, catching her eye as she looked up at him. Placing his book down on the table and stretching, Ren pushed his chair back and started to walk over to the female worker. Hearing the chime of the bell, Ren whipped his head around and saw two kids coming in. He grinned at them, turned his head back towards Jaime and paced towards her, whistling while digging his hands into his pocket. "Hey, what are you reading there?" The male spoke casually, sliding towards her and jumping to a sit on top of the counter. He looked at the book in her hands and found it was something... French. He didn't know.

Jaime looked up when she heard Ren's voice. She smiled, blushing slightly as their eyes met.

"It's, ah, for a French class that I'm taking at the university." She moved slightly closer to him to show him the cover again. "Intermediate French."

"Ah, French, very fancy," Ren smiled, leaning closer towards her so he could get a better look at the book. "Dunno how to speak it myself, though." Ren admitted, giving her a half-hearted chuckle.

Smiling Tom turned his head to the talking two. "Bonjour, je vous entends étudier le français. Mon père m'a appris quand j'étais un enfant." He then took a brownie and took a bite smiling to himself.

(I used Google Translate I would suggest you use it too).

Jaime smiled at Ren, but turned in surprise as she was addressed in French.

"Oui, mais je crains que je ne parle un peu. Je pense que je n'ai pas entendu votre nom, monsieur?" She answered nervously.

He then took a sip of his hot chocolate liking their secret talk.

Ren pouted, disliking how they were having a conversation that he didn't understand. A little annoyed, Ren puffed out his chest and swung his left leg to the side, marching his way back to the table.

Jaime widened her eyes and followed Ren back to his table.

"T-that...uhm...he was just offering to tutor me in French...and I, ah, I really need the help..." She moved closer to Ren and handed him a slip of paper.

"But please, call or text me sometime. Soon." She smiled broadly at him and winked before walking over to sit down with Tom.

"So, do you usually offer tutoring services?" She asked drily.

A sharp inhale of the contents within his cigarette, caused the cherry to set fire to the extraneous paper around it. Exhaling smoke in intervals following, it took but five minutes to finish his cigarette outside of the Cozy Corner, before walking in. He raised his eyebrows, particularly waving to one of the regulars who happened to be in attendence before he walked behind the counter. Aubrey would swap his jacket for a smock, which he tied around his neck over the uniform he was supposed to wear. It wasn't too bad outside; in fact, the young man was enjoying the weather before he walked in. However, nothing really trumped getting money, so there he was. He moved to the side opposite of the register, grasping a styrofoam cup and the pot of coffee. Light hues measured the amount of liquid poured in, making sure he didn't overflow.

Sam listened as the pair spoke to each other in a language other than English...French, he was pretty sure. He tried to follow, but eventually gave up. Whatever. He sighed and glanced at the coffee before him, still on the table. Maybe when that guy left he'd give it to someone who wanted it. He wouldn't want to offend him. He watched a new man walk in, obviously a worker, and as the door opened he could smell cigarette smoke. He suppressed a cough and cleared his throat instead.

Ren exhaled, letting his brief anger pass by. It was a pretty bad move, and he seemed like an ass doing it too, so he smiled back at the females and took the slip of paper. "Sorry for walking off, I just didn't understand," Ren explained, letting her walk off to the other guy. He wasn't really jealous, or angry of the other man, he just didn't like the feeling of being left out. Ignoring the chime of the bell again, and his nose crinkling at the smell of smoke, Ren took another sip of his coffee.

Jimmy yawned as he pushed open the door to the coffee shop. They'd been stomped last night and the walk in table of twelve right before the end of service hadn't helped either. He'd went down to the Piston Head afterwards for a few beers which had turned into a few too many beers to wash down the shots that he'd regretted doing the second he'd opened his eyes this morning. Still, at least he had a day off and he planned to pass a good few hours in the coffee shop coming up with the new menu. He went up to the counter and waited for one of the staff so he could order<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_06/image.jpg.f4701ea6019df6e5d4cf6237bbbb92be.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="20999" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_06/image.jpg.f4701ea6019df6e5d4cf6237bbbb92be.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>
