The world of fairy tales is one of a certain breed of magic; no heroes fire bolts of flames from their hands, but there are men who shall steal your firstborn infants in return for a granted wish you once made as a child. Here, to prick you finger on a thorn is to drop down dead, and little girls stuff unsuspecting crones into ovens.

Astara is a kingdom of folklore gods and immortal Witch Queens. The rules this land obeys are strange and twisted; Equal parts wonderland and nightmare, there are those who know how to play the game, and those fair pawns who are cast across the board by hands unseen and unknown.

This is a world where morality might win you a glass slipper or a curse for a hundred years. Protection is as easily lost as it is won. The fair are strong one second, victims the next. The wicked are your captors, or your dragons waiting to be slain.

This is a kingdom of stories. Words - written, spoken, thought - command more sway than the swing of a sword. Logic shall sift through your clenched fingers as soft and smooth as sand. The world shall show you many things: wonder carried on the wind, fear in a handful of dust.

This is the beginning; There are stories to be told.

Curses:
Maiden Though blessed by magic for it, your maidenhood also attracts the ill-will of others. Werewolves, beasts, malicious creatures, and at times those you would consider countrymen are drawn to you with ill intentions.
Witch Slayer You are a witch slayer, either by habit or by trade, and as such, you carry the stench of severed magic. All witches will be extremely cautious around you, and can 'notice' you more easily for this scent.
Curiosity Kills The Cat: Satisfaction may bring it back in the cat's tale, but for you, you may not be so lucky. You have a curious disposition, and thus you are naturally drawn to whatever may do you harm in your surroundings, even if you know of their nature.

Appearance

Gareth before his banishment was a anointed Royal Guard, making his attire identical to every other member. Shining gold and silver armor, a helmet he never wore, and a creamy white cloak. The set of claw-like scars upon his face were from years prior, and have now become a trademark to the man besides his golden hair.
Now free from society, he dones more practical clothing.
Personality
Arrogant - At first glance, outsiders perceive Gareth to be arrogant, disdainful, and sarcastic. To a large extent he is arrogant about his own abilities, but not without cause. Even his enemies admit that he is arguably the greatest living swordsman in Astara with few able to match him.


Sarcastic - Gareth does not mock others over minor insults, and can muster up polite behavior, but he is usually very blunt. Much like his brother Roland, he typically just says what he is thinking, and has no reservations about mocking those he perceives as incompetent.

Respectful - Gareth was always the quieter of the four Lovell siblings, keeping to his sword and nodding politely to nobles his whole life. Never once mistreating a lady, nor a child, in his new world his sense of morals and honor still are upheld.

Conflicted- In contrast, Gareth does not maintain any pretense of being a "good" or honorable man, as he has become apathetic to such concerns - this was influenced by him being hated and loathed by everyone because he killed a powerful man who had infamously terrorized the Astara, opening his eyes to how people perceive goodness and honor. Moreover, Gareth isn't a very politically ambitious man, much disappointment from his family. Gareth’s attitude towards violence is also complex. The difference seems to be that after witnessing the depravations of the Mad, needless violence and brutality deeply offend Gareth, though if he decides that violence and murder are absolutely necessary he will ruthlessly carry it out himself.

Intelligence- Overall, Gareth is a surprisingly skilled battle commander. While he is far less intellectual than Roland, he inherited at least some of Baelor’s ruthless intelligence.



Background 5-6 bullet points

The Lovell’s - The Lovells are a prominent and powerful family within the kingdom of Astara. Known for their riches and powerful seeds around the kingdom, the family works as a effective unit no matter how bighorn you are. The main Lovell’s however are the most important. Baelor, the patriarch. Catley, the mother. The two sons, Gareth and Roland. And the two daughters, Rosaline and Fortunia.

Forging a Path- Each sibling as the grew up took to a skill quite keenly. Gareth to swords, Roland to knowledge, Rosaline to politics, and Fortunia to court life. Each Lovell served as a pawn for their father, placing them where he saw fit in order to benifit the family unit. His father’s original intentions had been so: Gareth to join the army and return as patriarch, Roland to study with the Master of Coin, Rosaline to marry into the royal family, and Fortunia to marry a lord for land. Half of the plan went as planned, Roland and Rosaline were sent to their designated places. But Gareth didn’t want the army, he wanted family. So, going against his father’s will, he pledged his life to the Royal Guard.

The Royal Guard- Gareth desired to be close to his younger siblings, knowing the capital could be a dangerous place, and the more allies were the better. And so he served, silently and without protest of orders. At first he started at guarding lower level targets, like his siblings and other nobles. But as the grew in rank, his location only changed, to be beside the King. And as the years progressed, his disdain for politics and slippery ways were only growing.

Life at Home- Over the years, the Lovell family plan had adapted as such. Gareth was to quit the Royal Guard (a act he refused to do), Roland now was approaching a Council seat, Rosaline was to manipulate her husband as she desired, and Fortunia was elsewhere. Their father, older and more ruthless than before, silently hated his son for his act of definment years ago, but knew he was the rightful heir. And his family helped no more than him. His sisters pressured him into giving into their father, and knew of his hatred for the Royal Guard. Roland however was the only one who supported him. Saying either path he chose would result in the unpleasantness for the family, and to make the choice wisely.

“The Mad”- Martel “The Mad” Reptian, was a Council member who had began to slither into groups minds. Through intimidation, violence, and bribery, Martel was able to effectively solidify the Council into a group-think mindset to his beliefs. Now as Commander of the Royal Guard, it was his job to attend the Council meetings, though not officially a member. And the actions he saw Martel commit were treasonous, and outright vile. If something was not done, this man could usurpt everything, and lead the kingdom into a dark path of tyranny. And so he decided, he was to kill Martel. During a council meeting, as Martel was occupied with his lectures, Gareth doned his usual spot beside the noble. And in a swift act, stabbed the man with his sword through the back...

Banishment- Dubbed “Oathbreaker” by the people of Ursuna, Gareth was immeidantly seized and branded with treason. His father, furious with the act, however Roland was next in line for Martel’s spot, eased his father’s rage. His sisters refusing to visit him, seeing him as a traitor. The only one to truly see the morals to his life-altering choice was Roland. He realized his brother saved the capital, and possibly the kingdom from a dictator. But, the reverb of the public was that of pure hatred. And luckily his brother was able to broker a deal of banishment and exile.

Appearance He is a hulking eight foot ten, towering over most humans, and sports a hefty 300 pound frame that takes the form of swollen muscle lining his arms, legs, shoulders and back as well as a large gut and fat covered pecs that seem to sag somewhat onto themselves. His face is wide and takes the main expression of a boar, with large tusks protruding from his lower jaw and out from his lips, one on each side, two beady eyes positioned high on his head and a notably large snout flecked with mud, blood and dead skin. Two knotted arms hang from his broad shoulders, leading down into hands that seemed to bridge the gap between cloven hoofs and human hands with only two thick fingers and a wide thumb. His feet however are large, cloven hoofs that are much wider than necessary to balance his stature. His whole body is covered in a short but thick black fur that is somewhat prickly to the touch, with the multitude of scars being the only exception to this rule. The beast is usually clad in armor but in the case that he is not he can be found partially covered in dirty robes, blankets and sheets stolen on his various raids.
Personality (5-6 bullet points)
★ Edacious and Lustful he spends every waking moment conceiving how he will gather more and more resources for himself; whether it be women, power, baubles and trinkets, food or drink. His voracious appetite was unquenchable and in some peoples eyes this could be considered something akin to ambitious, if taken to an unhealthy extreme.


★ Confident to the point of being conceited he is often found bragging about his victories over weaker foes between bouts of feasting and drinking, boasting in order to keep his subordinates beneath him - though this does not often work - and upon further inspection this proved a slight layer of insecurity that rested under the outer layer of the beasts emotions.

★ While not the smartest creature in the woods he has a beastly cunning about him that is one step above that of a wild hound or a defensive boar. His mind is sharpened and he is notably good at what he does - which is presumably hunting, whether it be for his new prizes, slaves or land. This being said, he is not the sharpest sword in the scabbard and can easily be fooled, trapped or tricked by his own greed in the most cliche manner.

★ Much like his father he is quick to anger and has been known to suddenly been thrown into a violent rage in which he rends both ally and enemy to get to his goal. In some ways he prides himself on this violent savagery, justifying that it gives him the edge he needs in combat. Because of his short fuse many of his underlings stay wary and fearful, though they would not admit it out-loud, and - coupled with his strength - make him a powerful ally and a dangerous enemy.
Background


Vieh the "Boar King" was born to a duke and a farm-woman that he had courted every day for seven years. She was beautiful in every way, blessed by the gods in figure and form with long wavy brown hair and piercing blue eyes, not showing even the slightest sign of the harsh life that she led. To say the least she was a gem in a sea of dull peasantry and the prince wanted her. Every time he would come to the hovel she lived in, each time with more luxurious gifts in order to court her and each time she denied him.

Furious, the last day he came to her hovel it was a stormy day and the fields had been churned into sloppy mud that pulled at the hoofs of the horse the prince rode, who's eyes flicked back and forth anxiously. When she predictably denied him his previously reserved emotions exploded into action and, determined that he would have her, he came down on the woman like a thunderous beast. She had seen this coming however and wilted under his assault, feigning her pathetic nature and luring him into foolish, prideful boasting. She wished only one caveat from the 'powerful man' as she called him, and that was that they would make love in this hovel. It took no convincing and he ecstatically agreed to the prospect, blinded by his accumulation of his seven year quest.

The two went off into the hovel and started, the man quickly undressing and having his way with the woman, who bared every second with a false grin and gritted teeth. All the while, unbeknownst to the raving man, her fingers curled around the handle of a crude knife that was tucked into a small gap beside her bed and, as he impregnated her with a loud groan, she swiftly brought the knife up to his upper body - twice in the neck and once between his shoulder blade and his spine - as she screamed strange and foreign words into the air of the hovel. His final grunts of pleasure quickly rose into a startled scream before melting into a bubbling gasp as blood welled in his throat.

It is said the woman moved to the woods and gave birth to the child, a malformed creature that was wrought in the shape of a human child of about 2 years but with the details of a beastly boar, its nose replaced with a snout and patchy, black fur all over its skin. With her task complete she drifted off to death not minutes after the child had been born. It is rumored that this creature still roams the deepwoode, embuned with the fury, lust and gluttony of its father during his last moments and the purpose and cunning of its mother, a warning against the dangers of lust or the matrimony between the wicked and the holy depending on whom you asked.

★ Outside of the legends surrounding the Boar man he has been spotted commonly in the Dark Woode and the surrounding area ravaging the surrounding farming villages and other towns with a small following of various fowl creatures. His crimes consist of theft, arson, murder and other pillaging, causing many of those who live around the Deep Woode to call him a scourge upon the land.

Appearance: With the physical form of Reginald gone, he is nothing more than an empty suit of armor with a soul embedded in it. Therefore, underneath the helmet is nothing but air. The suit itself stands at a height of 6'5" and was built for the muscular frame of Reginald back when his body was still that - instead of a corpse. It is designed meticulously - engraved with solid gold above the steel exterior. The shoulderpads of the armor was built to look like the face of the Dwarves who created it for him - a tribute, one could say, to them. If one were to peek inside his armor, a man with a good eye would encounter what seems to be a floating red symbol that moves around inside the empty husk. This is a blood sigil - in essence, his heart. His life. When the armor is dismantled, it attaches itself onto the armor in hopes of not being found.


Personality

★ Loyal - Cursed by the witch to always accompany someone as his master, he is one hundred percent loyal to this person. He must follow their orders despite what he feels about the subject. However, he can also be loyal to those he deems fit for it. It is hard to earn his trust; but once it is, expect him to be a great ally.

★ Socializing - He was a Knightor and one of his best traits was that of his words. He is easily approachable and comes off as a rather friendly person, even though his intents may not be any more farther than this.

★ Merciless - Not even a child is safe from Reginald's blade. He will do anything to attain his mission, even if it meant cutting down innocent lives. He only developed this kind of mercilessness just before he died for the first time.

★ Brutally Honest - When he was resurrected, he found no need to lie to anyone ever again and thus says it like it is. He does keep secrets about himself, but when it comes to sharing his opinions, he doesn't hold back.

★ Distrustful - Understandably, after being tricked by the witch, he has become quite wary on trusting anyone else aside from his current master.

★ Jaded - Once you have lived for a century, nothing can surprise you any more. While he is capable of feeling positive emotions, he is usually just dragging himself day after day - waiting for the moment of his death.

★ Cunning - Reginald had been a Knightor, and a good one at that. He was equal parts both cunning and intelligent who ruled the republic by manipulating the other council members to agree with him. While he has not put into play this sort of cunning during his time as a suit of armor, he does still possess this trait.

Background

★ Born in Astara Kingdom, Reginald was expected to be a knight loyal to the Astaran Royal family - because both of his parents were respectable knights. Trained personally by the Captain of the Guard at that time, he was gearing up to be the next Captain. Reginald was a smart and hardworking young lad, so most thought that he would be perfect to be the Captain.

★ By twenty three years of age, he was a full fledged knight and was ready to take up the mantle. However, training alongside him was a star prodigy who finished by twenty one. The Captain chose the other, and Reginald, feeling betrayed, packed up and left for the Knight's Republic. His family, embarrassed with his actions, decided to leave him alone and act like he never existed.

★ After two months of travelling by himself, he reached the Knight's Republic. He would have gotten there quicker had it not been for his hunting in the Dark Forest. No one knows what exactly transpired during this time, and he has never spoken about it. Arriving there, he immediately announced himself as a Jacquis - a noble and honorable house in Astara. Finding out that one of his relatives lived there, he convinced them to take him in and he was officially part of the family. He had gained a younger sister by the name of Arianna. The two of them got along swimmingly and she would often show him around in exchange for him teaching her the way of the sword.

★ The Jacquis patriarch died due to complications and Reginald took up his position at the Knight's Council. Most were wary of his arrival as he was not truly a part of the noble house, merely being adopted into it. But Reginald turned a deaf ear towards them and continued going to these meetings. Through a show of intelligence and bravery, others quickly grew to respect him. At the age of thirty three, he was elected Knightor and served as one for many years.

★ At the age of fifty six, Knightor Reginald Jacquis stepped down from his position and disappeared. When his younger sister Arianna was questioned as to where he went, she could not reply. Another Knightor was elected in his absence. Reginald had sought out a witch to help him gain immortality as he wished to live and reign forever. The witch cleverly manipulated Reginald as she found the perfect bodyguard. She sent him to a settlement not affiliated with the kingdoms and told him to slay the villagers and eat their hearts. Blinded by his lust for immortality, Reginald slaughtered the village and feasted upon their hearts. However, he was defeated by a band of mercenaries who were dispatched by a mysterious someone.

★ Left on the ground bleeding, Reginald thought that this was the end. Then the witch came and he begged for her to do something. The witch proposed a bargain - "Your life for your loyalty". He agreed and his soul was bound to the suit of armor. Because of the contract, he followed her around for the rest of his life, protecting her from anything that was hostile. Until fifty years ago, when she had perished due to her own decision, leaving Reginald alone. He expected to wither away without the witch's magic to support him - but he kept on going. To his surprise, he found out that he will be bound to another master. Figuring out that this was his entire life, he resigned himself to following the curse.

Strengths / Talents
  • Immortal
  • Because he has no body, he is incapable of exhaustion. He has no need for food, water and even sleep.
  • He is supernaturally strong because of the magic surrounding the armor.
  • Due to his previous standing, he is a skilled combatant - wielding the sword and shield with fearsome skill.
  • His survival instinct is above average, thus how he survived The Dark Forest despite its unforgiving inhabitants even before his time as a ghost in armor.
Weaknesses / Vices
  • Being bound to the armor means that if the armor is destroyed, so is he. That is, if it is destroyed completely.
  • When the armor is dismantled, and the blood sigil is not destroyed, he can slowly regenerate by putting himself back together.
  • Destroying the blood sigil that maintains his form is one way to kill him. However, he is not capable of telling anyone where it is. Said blood sigil can be found inside his armor, floating around erratically.
  • He doesn't actually have anything that would be considered a long range weapon, unless he picks it up from somewhere. And yes, he actually doesn't like lugging things around unless absolutely needed.
  • He can't possibly get any physically stronger than where he currently is because there is no muscle to train.
Magic

While he, himself, has no magic to wield - the magic binding him to the armor and to his weapons is. It has made the armor sturdier in exchange for immediate death upon the breakage of the blood sigil. The weaponry can be summoned at any time so he is virtually armed all the time. Reginald exudes magic, much like the Dark Forest, and that may catch the attention of anyone who is sensitive to magic.

Appearance 5'10" tall. Anastasia is very muscular due to all of the training she's had to do. She has the pale, rosy skin of her mother and the platinum hair paired with the piercing blue eyes of her father. Her hair is chest-length but she always has it tied up in one style or the other to keep it out of her face. Her hands are calloused because of always weilding weapons. The armour she wears tends to be on the lighter side so she can move about freely.


Personality (5-6 bullet points)

★ Awkward - Since birth, she's been running around from place to place with her parents, never really settling down for long. Due to this, she had no friends throughout her childhood; her only human interaction was through her parents. Because of this, she sometimes doesn't know how to act.

★ Curious - Anastasia always wants to see new places and meet new people. This may come off as her being rude or prying but that isn't her intention.

★ Unsettling - She stares people straight into the eye and stands very still. This creeps people out when meeting her for the first time.

★ Questionable moral code - Anastasia will never kill anybody if she doesn't think they deserve it. However, it is her moral code that is sometimes convoluted and she ends up killing people who she believes are guilty but probably aren't in the eyes of others. If somebody comes to her and asks her to kill somebody, she'll do it without a doubt because, in her mind, if somebody wants someone else dead enough to come to her, then the other must've done something deserving of death.

★ Literal - Ana has some trouble understanding sarcasm, hyperbole and metaphors. She will always take them to be literal so it's not the best to use these around her.


Background 5-6 bullet points

★ Her father, Ivan Tsarevitch, whilst going to meet his three sisters (who went off to marry powerful Noct wizards), met the powerful Marya Morevna—the leader of her clan. They fell in love and married each other. Ivan left his own clan in the care of his cousin to live with Marya. Before leaving to fight another battle, Marya warned her husband to never open a certain door in their home. Of course, he opened it soon after she left and found a chained-up, emaciated old man. The man begged him for water and the kind-hearted Ivan ended up bringing him three buckets of it. This was enough to regain his strength and the old man broke free of all twelve of the chains that bound him and was revealed as Koschei The Deathless—a very powerful wizard. Koschei then escaped and kidnapped Marya Morevna, Ivan's wife. Ivan travelled all the way to Koschei's castle to try and rescue his wife. However, Koschei was in possession of an impossibly fast horse that was able to catch Ivan and Marya every time they tried to escape. On the third try, Koschei cut Ivan up into tiny pieces and scattered his remains into the sea. This is where Ivan's three wizard Noct brother-in-laws come in because, together, they gathered up all of his remains and, each giving up things belonging to themselves, revived Ivan. With advice given to him by the three wizards, Ivan visited a powerful witch. Not wanting to waste time, he stole one of her horses—one even faster than Koschei's. On this, he stormed Koschei's castle, rescued his bride and, when Koschei chased them, Ivan's horse kicked Koschei in the head so hard that his skull cracked and the wizard was defeated.

★ It was after this story took place that Ivan Tsarevitch and Marya Morevna had a child—Anastasia Tsarevitch. However, it was only after Anastasia was born that her parents' debt caught up with them. The powerful witch that Ivan had stolen a horse from was not happy, and she wanted Ivan's firstborn child in return. But Ana's parents weren't going to let that happen.

★ As a child, Anastasia's family were constantly moving from place to place, trying to outrun the witch, and on the way, her mother would teach her how to defend herself in case they ever had to stand against the witch. Like her mother, Anastasia was very talented with a sword and countless weapons. Her mother paid specific attention in teaching her how to slay a witch.

★ During the time when her family lived on the Astara Drifts, Anastasia went out hunting in the forest when she was finally caught by the witch that had been chasing her for so long. Anastasia used everything her mother taught her and, at age fifteen, killed her first witch. Upon returning home, her parents were proud of their daughter. They no longer had to run anymore, and so they set up their home in the Astara Drifts.

★ When she became seventeen, Anastasia left home to explore the world at her own pace. In order to make money, she sold her skills as a warrior. Due to her own experiences, Anastasia hates the cunning ways of witches and helps liberate people from their unfair deals. She's become a talented witch hunter, which has caused many of those with magic to view her with distrust. However, she only kills those she deems despicably unfair.

Place of Residence Zymal never stays at one place for too long. The mask always disappears after the host dies, transported to some place else.

Occupation None

Appearance Zymal has ever shifting forms. From terrifying to beautiful, old to young, rich to poor, masculine to feminine, her forms changes with her host. Their faces, however, is hers to claim. The moment the deal is struck and the mask is worn, the mask becomes their face and their identity. The mask appears in the shape of a reverse tear drop and is pure white, save for two details. Its eyes are pure black void, a void too deep and terrifying for mere mortals to understand. Its smile wide and alluring, yet painted blood red as to serve as a remind for those who gets too close. The stark contrast between the vibrant red, stark white, and deep darkness makes otherwise simple mask intriguing and curious.

The other parts of the host’s body is unaffected, save for markings that appear on their body. The markings are intricate and mysterious, seemingly a form of language none could read. It is pure black, as if the shadows itself was used in creating it. The forms appears to shift, sometimes appearing as swaying vines, other times gentle waves, it may also be burning flames, and there have been times when it has simply been chains. The marking serves as proof of the contract and is alluding to the deal that has been made.

Zymal’s current body is that of a female elves in her, by elven standards, young adult phase. Her hair is black as a raven’s wings and is tied up in an inticate braid. She stands tall with a lithe and athletic body that still has some curves to it. It wears an armor of dark leather, fur lined shirt, black pants, dark leather boots, and a cloak adorned with raven feathers, giving it the appearance of a pair of massive wings.

Personality The host’s personality and attitude seeps into Zymal’s own, tainting it and affecting it like water dipped with paint. Her personality varies from host to host, at times honorable, horrible, brave, coward, kind, greedy, naive, opportunistic. At the same time, her own malice and coldness also affect her host’s personality, blending both together into a new one.

Malicious Glee - Zymal is quite cheerful, all things considered. She finds delight at little things and doesn’t seem to be easily saddened by things. However, this glee could easily be for an adorable pack of puppies to a fascinating corpse. She giggles when someone dies, snickers at a person’s suffering, and takes delight in taking lives. Her laughter could easily be due to slaughter.

Morbid Fascination - She is by nature a curious being. Everything is new to her, everything is absolutely delightful in her eyes. Both Zymal and her host were quite isolated, and this just further inflames their curiosity. Be it a mysterious trinket, horribly mangled body, a wonderous flower, or a brutal massacre, it is sure to warrant her attention.

Crippling Greed - Zymal’s greed knows no bounds. She loves money and trinkets and jewelry and artifacts and valuables and gemstones and precious metals and curious antiques and magical items and much much more. If she likes it, she’ll swipe it.

Dangerous Friendship - Zymal is not unwilling to make friends with other people, so long as it benefits her. She will socialize and even flirt with other people, making friends and sometimes lovers along the way, with the goal of finding someone who can aid and protect her. Basically, she’ll be nice to you so she can have a meat shield to protect her. She also won’t hesistate to pinch their coins or kill them if it serves a purpose.

Two-Faced - Zymal is two-faced, both literally and figuratively. She will say one thing and mean the other, purposely misdirect people to misundertand her worlds, using half-lies and half-truths to muddle her true intentions.

Vengeful - The one trait Zymal and its host has in common. Any slight made against them would be returned tenfold. The quick and burning hatred of her host and the cold and patient rage of Zymal gave birth to an entirely terrifying form of vengeance. Whether it takes an instant or centuries, one thing is certain. Their vengeance would obliterate you to your very core.

Background

The Mask - No one knows where the mask came from and who had made it and for hat purpose. The first known sighting of the Mask has been during the Redford Rebellion hundreds of years ago in what is now called Ursuna. It is important to take note that, while this is the Mask’s first recorded appearance, it is possible that the Mask have existed before this and has never just been recorded. The leader of this rebellion, Markus Shivertail, was said to have worn a white mask at all times, never once taking the Mask off. The Mask was said to have granted Shivertail powers beyond what mortals could conjure. Upon Sivertail’s death at the War of Cold, the Mask was said to have vanished into nothing. Its next appearance would be a decade later on the other side of the continent.

It Begins With A Whisper - The Mask is completely immobile and unfeeling when not worn, and as such implements a different method to lure a prospective Host. Whenever a potential Host is within range, they will start to hear a whisper. It starts out quiet and soft, a suggestive voice tickling the back of your mind as it slowly lures you closer. The longer you are exposed to the whispers and the closer you are to its source, the more easily it could influence you. As you come closer, the whispers starts to grow louder, from a whisper to a conversation. It starts to tempt you further, offering you riches beyond riches, strength to topple castles, beauty to make every one fall before you, everything you could want will fall into your hands the moment you put the mask on.

It Ends With A Deal - Once its potential Host is baited and hooked, the conversation turns into a shout. It will continue screaming inside your mind, at times continuing to offer your hearts desire, other times it just babbles incoherently. It won’t stop screaming, not even if it breaks your fragile mind. The strong willed can attempt to break free from its influenceand run away, but the weak willed are doomed. They would have no choice but to search for it, either to have their wishes granted or just to stop the infernal screaming. Once the Mask is found, a deal will be offered. It will grant the wearer its wish, barring a few exceptions of course, and in exchange the Host will give up itself and be one with the Mask. At this moment, the Host is given one last chance to deny the deal. The only thing they need to do is to drop the Mask and run away, but to thise who wishes to accept, all they need to do is put on the Mask and their wishes will be granted. And with it their entire being will disappear. Their wishes granted, their wills followed, yet they will no longer be there to witness it. Truly, only those desperate or foolish enough would willingly put it on.

The Host - The elf once known as Zymal Winterchilde suffered through a lot at a young age. She was orphaned at a young age, her parents having died during the harsh winter. Zymal was lucky enough that her mother had mustered enough strength to bring the child to an orphanage, releasing her dying breath just as the doors of the orphanage begun to open. Despite being elves, her parents had been living in a human city, forced here due to being exiled by crimes they did not commit. Due to being obviously of elven descent, the other children and even the caretakers of the orphanage disliked and even outright hated Zymal. She was bullied by the other orphans and mistreated by the adults, she would spend most of her child crying herself to sleep. When she grew older and her treatment grew harsher, Zymal left the orphanage to live on her own. It was not easy, but she somehow managed. She had to keep her ears hidden under a ragged cloak and had to resort to stealing to live. She found that she had a knack for it, slipping through a crowd and slipping hands into pockets of unsuspecting people. Over the time Zymal grew bolder and more ambitious, stealing from peoples homes and even outright robbing them in alleys. She wasn’t hesitant on roughing them up and has even killed a few of them in her lifetime. That said, there came a day when she robbed someone she never should have.

The Problem - One day, Zymal happened to see an easy target. It was a young boy, obviously new to the city by the looks of his clothing and how he seems to be unfamiliar with his surroundings. He also seems to be quite well of, his robes clean and made of high quality material and he even has a trinket or two on his person. He also has a leather satchel over his back, obviously filled with more items she could pilfer. After comfirming that the man was indeed alone, Zymal started to stalk the man. She followed him as she looked for an opportunity to get him alone, which she got the moment he turned into an alley. The alley ended in a dead end, a fact the man seemed to be unaware of seeing as he seemed to be confused when he saw it. The man must have taken a wrong turn, but Zymal didn’t care about that as she slipped her dagger between the man’s shoulder blade. The man could barely let out a whimper as life left him and he slumped towards the ground. Zymal quickly stripped the man of his belongings, stuffed them into the man’s satchel, then quickly slipped away before anyone could realize she was even there. Zymal was grinning widely, knowing that her earning for the day would be very good, sadly, she was not the only one eyeing that man. Later that night, as Zymal was just preparing to check the contents of the satchel when something hit the back of her neck and her vision turned black.

The Wytche - Zymal had woken up in a dirty cell, small enough that the ceiling brushes her head and she can barely stretch her arms before hitting the wall. Zymal finally saw her captor, a wizened old crone qith hooked nose, barely any teeth, wrinkled leathery skin, and milky white eyes. Despite her obviously aged and feeble appearance Zymal could feel that this woman was powerful and not someome she should fight with. It turns out that this woman was a Wytche whose hearth has been extinguished and the young man had been her apprentice tasked with retrieving an item that could, supposedly, reignite her hearth and regain her vitality. The Wytche had not been pleased with the death of her apprentice, nor did she like the fact that, due to not having been delivered on time, the item that could have regained what she had lost was rendered useless. Moreover, this Wytche was not known for its kindness and forgiveness, in fact, she was known to be quick sadistic and horrifying. Over 6 months, Zymal suffered as the Wytche’s test subject, suffering through all sorts of pain and torture. It was too much for her, slowly breaking her mind as the pain never seemed to end.

The Bargain - Another 2 months would pass before she started tohear the whispers. It spoke to her of freedom, a way to get out of this place, a salvation from this world of endless pain and torture. The voice had told her that she would be free from this torture, but she had to do something, it told her to dig. She was desperate, a thread of hope had finally appeared and Zymal was not about to let it go, and so she started digging. Her hands started clawing at the floor, which was thankfully made of packed dirt. She kept digging, and digging, and digging, and digging. Her finger started bleeding, her nails tearing off, hear palms riddled with wounds and sores, yet she did not stop digging. The most surreal part is that all of this has just occured over a span of an hour. By the time she had dug over 3 meters, the voice was starting to scream.

FIND ME! FREE ME! WEAR ME! GIVE ME WHAT I SEEK!

And when the voice stopped, in front of her lay a mask. Before she could even process it, the voice continued to speak. “Put me on, and I shall free you from this place. Wear me, and all of your worries will disappear. Give me what I want, and I shall give you what you want.” The voice whispered in her mind, and before a second could even pass, the mask was on Zymal’s face. Hours later, the cell was in shambles, the hut in which she was imprisoned in was destroyed beyond belief, and the Wytche which had imprisoned her was mangled beyond recognition. Its skin flayed from its body, its skinless face contorted in an expression of pure pain and terror. Zymal was finally free.

Strengths / Talents Zymal is quick and agile, easily vaulting over people and climbing buildings and jumping across one building to another. She is also an accomplished thief, capable of slipping her hands inside your pockets and retrive its contents before you can even feel her. Spher steps are quiet and silent, very much like a cat’s foot fall. She is also no slouch when it comes to combat, holding her own against armed opponents with her two scimitars. Zymal is also quite cool under pressure, capable of staring down a monstrous horde and is also quite intimidating herself.

Weaknesses / Vices Zymal could be a bit handsy, either her hand is in your pockets or on your ass. She is definitely a greedy one, and despite her penchance for helping other out, she’ll still be quite haeitant to part with her coin. She’s also quick brash and frank, regardless if its appropriate or not. She’ll mock you to your face if she thinks you deserve it, and sometimes even if you don’t.

Magic

Claimed by the Mask - The Mask has chosen you as its host, and the Mask doesn’t like to share. Host is immune to mind magic and other forms of compulsion that forces it to go against its own will.

Vessel of the Mask - Your body belongs to the Mask and is no longer your own. Host no longer needs to perform and take part in basic human necessities such as eating, sleeping, defecating, urinating, etc.

Boon of the Mask - A deal has been struck, and the Mask shall provide. Current Host has been granted the ability to travel theough shadows and dissolve into them.

★Lysander was born in the small town of Ironholm in the Knight's Republic, known for its successful mining business. He was born a peasant, to parents that labored away in the mines all day. It was also a town rampant with corruption and crime and because of this, Lysander decided to turn to vigilante justice when he was of age, despite the negative influences that surrounded him. He learned basic combat in this way.

★One day, a tribe from the Wilds invaded the town, and Lysander stepped up to defend it. Eventually the army of the Knight's Republic showed itself to drive off the tribe after a short siege. They were impressed by Lysander's fighting prowess and decided to take him in to be knighted for his bravery. His combat skills improved, and he was also given his first and current horse.

★Eventually, years after being knighted, Lysander was invited to become a paladin, a knight who used their faith to assist them magically in combat. He agreed and took his oaths, deciding to become a paladin of the Order of the New Gods, or simply the Order.

★According to legend, the Order was founded by a man named Edwin Werner, who through discovering magical artifacts and training, supposedly ascended to godhood and liberated the world from its eldritch creators. - Twin Swords, Claw and Fang: Elven blades given to Aemon as a reward for slaying a Cat with Hands terrorizing a trail near the Astara Drifts. Claw is a blade that makes the shallowest cuts bleed excessively, and Fang is a blade which allows its slashes to sink deeper into flesh than any traditional sword.
Personality+ Pragmatist: Aemon's occupation is rewarded in only one way, success. His methods aren't driven of the idea of ethics, rather they are determined by whether or not it will allow him to succeed. This also means that if an ally is in some way, shape, or form going to become a hindrance, he would not hesitate to leave them behind.

+ Protective / Loyal: However, the same does not stand once he considers you close. Aemon has very few close friends, and for good reason. He treasures those around him as if they were kin, and would be willing to take extravagant measures in ensuring their safety.

+ Sarcastic: The most courteous Aemon would be willing to act towards someone he shows disdain towards would be to cover his insults behind his sarcasm. He has a sharp tongue, but it is one that he has difficulty controlling when irritated.

+ Violent: Aemon is usually able to maintain any friction with others sustained to just combative words, and will not of his own accord mortally wound another; aside from during his hunting. However when given the slightest inclination of a physical assault by the other individual, Aemon becomes relentless in his counterattack, often not yielding until the other is immobile or calling for mercy.

+ Independent: If it was not obvious enough, Aemon does not play well with others. He would much prefer to get the job done on his own, where he would seldom have to trust in other individuals to carry their weight. Even when success seems bleak, asking others for help would be one of the last things that he would consider. He already is multiple creatures cooperating as one, after all.

History+ Creation:There was no history of Aemon Wynhorne prior to six years ago, where he was first able to transcend into a human form. As a Pack Face, he had been completely separate entities prior to then, with their only connection to each other being that they were wolves of the same pack. How they were able to do so would always be a mystery, considering his first moments as a human was spent in a mind-numbing internal battle for control of the body.

+ Adapting: Having no persona of his own, Aemon was a completely blank slate. He had no name, no family, and no home as a human. It was because of this that Aemon was driven back to his primal instincts, which meant killing for defense and for survival. His superior strength as a combined being made him an adequate fighter despite having little experience with hand-to-hand combat, and implementing a weapon over time only increased his combat strength. However, being dealt with a future centered solely on combat, he gained little influence on morals and ethics during this time.

+ Surviving: Aemon was physically able to pass as a human, and learned through experience that publicly exposing himself as a pack face only brought him towards trouble. He kept the information to himself as he traveled, learning more and more about the country and its different cultures in ways that he never would have been able to as a pack of wolves. But having little experience in anything other than combat and hunting, there were very few jobs that were willing to take Aemon. One of those few was bounty hunting, which involved tracking down a target and either taking the target alive or as a corpse, and usual followed with coin as the reward. It was a simple enough concept for Aemon, and it was then that he had begun to establish himself as a bounty hunter.

+ Thriving: Aemon had a few traits that allowed him to surpass other bounty hunters, due to his species. His improved senses allowed him to track the targets much faster, and his increased strength seldom gave said targets any chance to retaliate for extended periods of time. And in the slim chance that they were given the opportunity to escape, again, they were tracked and hunted like the prey they were. This benefit gave Aemon a renowned reputation among lords and other officials who regularly set bounties, who began to realize that bounties taken by Aemon were hardly ever returned without the target in question.

Appearance Decarcy normally wears a hood and mask when on the job, in order to protect his identity. He sometimes employs facepaint to further mask his identity, normally covering his eyes. His tusks are quiet well kept almost to then point of not being visable, mostly to do with his thief, though he writes it off by saying that he lost them in battle. His skin is of quite dark green, his eyes carrying a bit of a light shade of the same colour. He is quiet well built, as most orcs are though most of this is from acrobatics rather more combat orentatend training. His eyes like most orcs are of long length.
Personality
Cynical: From his experiences in the world, seeing what people do with it and people without power do to get, Decarcy has been left pretty cold in relation to the land and its inhabitants. He has no illusions that the world is full of danger and always believes that people will always, in the end, look after themselves than others. He isn't oppressive about it, normally makes jokes about the situations the world finds itself in.


Cunning: Decarcy can be quite shrewd when he wants to be. This mostly comes out in his planning for heists. He will spend weeks if not months meticulously going over everyone one related to the object, the building and the routines of the people who use said building even something as mundane as the temperature of the day. After all, improvisation is a good skill but it will only get you so far when you have seven swords in your face. This cunning also extends to how he acts with people, always hidden something and trying to stay a step ahead.

Witty: The orc thief does have quite the appetite for dry sarcasm and humorous observations, well humorous to him anyway. He believes it can help elevate the stress and danger of a situation. Used against an opponent it can also anger them and cause them to be careless, allow Decarcy to take advantage.

Anti-Athoatrian/Rebellious: Renton has always found the idea of taking orders from others to be quite the gross proposition. He enjoys his freedom and from his personal view, those with power more times than not either end up abusing it, or simply living a lavish lifestyle while doing nothing with it. He sympathises with the downtrodden and will more often than not try to help them by giving some of his funds, or by focusing on robbing those of a 'higher social status'.

Distrusting: Stemming from his cynical nature (as well as his personal history) Decarcy prefers to stick alone, only really having a few contacts in the thief world (them either being fellow criminals or fences). He will talk and interact with other people, but he does his best to keep himself to himself.



Background

Born into Violence: As most Orcs tend to be, Decarcy is born into a world of violence. His mother and father were travelling pit fighters. A not very glamorous but prosperous start to life. Decarcy as taught violence at a young age. He was as good as any Orc though nothing outstanding. Still, he used to keep himself safe. While his family fought, other children from the places they visited would come to look at the young Orc or rather to pick on him. This young Orc soon learned the value of reputation and of cunning, use tactics and cunning to other come to his young tormentors rather than just brute strength. Still, brute strength did impact his life when his family finally lost a fight. His relation with his family had been well enough, they taught him how to take care of himself and taught that in this world, he would have to take care of himself, cause no one else would care. After his family lost, the young Orc, received some of the money of his family, the rest going as 'compensation' to the person who organised the fights. Before Decarcy could do anything he got kicked out onto the streets.

Street Tough: As most orphans do, Decarcy learned to survive on his instinct and more in his early years, his muscles. He would hassle some of the other kids, some of the vendors. He got by for a while, too small time for the city guard to notice but enough for Decarcy to live, even if it was living on the cold city streets. As things went on, however, he started to join up with other children. His muscles made him a great help and back then, Decarcy did long for some friends in life.

Turning point: One day the gang Decarcy currently found himself in the company of decided to hit a new cavern of a mysterious man. He had recently come to town and was selling odd trinkets and jewels. Being new he wouldn't know how the city worked and wouldn't be expecting it. At least that was the theory. As soon as the young gang went for the grab, the merchant grabbed Decarcy's hand. The rest of the gang bravely abounded there Orc comrade to save their own skin. The merchant asked the young terrified Orc a question. "Why do you steal?" "For gold"
"That it?" "People need taking down a peg" With a smile the man, Artemus Russel, took the boy under his wing. Artemus turned out to be on of the most accomplished thieves (the merchant being a con he was in the middle of pulling) and would spend the next few years teaching Decarcy all he knew.


Training and Test: While teaching him the skills that would soon be invaluable to his life (this includes the breaking in and out of places, how to remain undetected, lockpicking, deception etc) he also learned of Decarcy's life. With this information, he set the fresh Orc a task. Steal from the man who helped set up those fights. That man was now a gang leader, no real surprise but I did make things a little interesting. Tracking down the cave they were in, the Orc looked over the place for about two weeks before finally going in. Setting a fire by the entrance got most people out, causing a small cave in sent panic, and after stealing most everything not nailed down the Orc made sure to plant something. A journal making the gang leader look like he had been planning to sell the gang out. Needless to say, his trainer was more than impressed.

Spreading the thieving wings: As with most good things, the training didn't last. After a number of years, Artemus decided he had taught all he could to the thief and while they did run into each other on the very rare occasion, Decarcy set put on his own. Having made some contact during his training days, the Orc criminal managed to set himself with an apartment owned by a friend who didn't mind Decarcy having a few hidden compartments in the rooms. As long as he pays the rent on time. Still, now Decarcy is free to show those with power and wealth that neither of those two things will protect them. Plus making some cash of course.

Background
Creation - If a mother wolf should ever lose all her pups, and if she howls her grief underneath the light of a full moon, she can receive a new litter. Green eyed mystical fur babes conjured by the mighty Wolf Queen of the Dark Forest. More intelligent, more courageous, and more ferocious than standard wolves, garoul quickly outgrow their foster pack. But the mother wolf is at least awarded temporary comfort. Or so the legend goes.

Briar Creep - Just east of the Soul Drop Temple is a sprawling thicket webbed in creeping vines and hateful thorns. Men and elves skirt this patch of wood because trails cut through it quickly close. Only the hardest animals dwell there. A few wolf packs - known as briar packs - claim the creep. Aclax and his siblings were raised by one such pack.

Figure Form - As soon as the pups were old enough to establish a true pecking order Aclax dominated the pack. At the time Orsha was his greatest challenger, but eventually she was forced to fall in line with the others. They may have started as fierce rivals but she now admires her alpha more than any other. Once they were mature enough, and with the will and direction of proper leadership, the wolves developed their figure form. They could combine into the image of a human, a masculine avatar of their alpha.

Sol Tutors - They grew as hungry for knowledge as their foster pack was for fresh deer. So they assumed their figure and journeyed to elvish city along the river. The Sol elves were congenial and wise folk, but even still they kept their identity secret. Elvish courtesy had its limits, and they wouldn't hesitate to smite the wicked - or what they believed to be wicked. They needed a tutor, and after a dozen rejections they finally landed one, a beautiful bard by the name of Faunalyn Darshee. She lectured in a garden outside the city three evenings a week. They traded fur, stag horns, and medicinal plants for her services. Months later Faunalyn revealed that she knew the true nature of Aclax, but rather than fear him, she pitied him. She trusted her gut and her gut insisted Aclax was a virtuous creature who needed help. And help she did.

Preying on Predators - When not working through one of Faunalyn's lessons the garoul stalked the southern Dark Forest. And not just for deer or rabbit; but for serpus, fiends, goblins, and wytches. Every instinct in their body suggested evil was their natural prey. Nothing was more satisfying than sinking their fangs into monster flesh. And once a kill was made the pack howled their victory towards the moon. Their creator, their true mother, just might hear her vigilant children. And, if they're truly lucky, she may return the howl.

Appearance was something Valentine had never paid very much attention to, yet perhaps he knows that he was not bad looking. Standing at a height of 5'9, Valentine possesses a build not more than an average man his age should- athleticism was never his forte, after all. Eyes a shade of dark brown- almost black, and so was his hair, which was kept a mess nearly all the time whilst giving the impression that perhaps he had not cleaned in a long time and perhaps he had not . His clothing revolved on something convenient, avoiding superfluous detailing. An exception was, however, were black rounded earrings on both of his ears- piercings Valentine had done back when he was younger out of curiosity, yet became attached to him. Often people would see odd stains around the cuffs of his shirt (while outsiders may question, we know damn well where the stains come from). He is also rarely dressed tidily- shirt often wide open by the collars, trousers sometimes unbuckled properly, hair in an immortal uncombed mess. It would be a miracle if he had even considered wearing socks.

Mad scientist: Perhaps the best way to describe him after all. Valentine possesses heavy interest for magic and sorcery (he, however, prefers calling it advanced science) since a very young age. This can often make him come off as creepy (and he perhaps is), as his liking quickly developed into an obsession, in which he is not too subtle to express, too. His obsession? Necromancy. And also, he knows he's mad.
Evident lack of empathy: Further in to his obsessions, Valentine often mess around with corpses (and occasionally living samples). As everything is dedicated to his ambitions, he could care very less on what is happening towards his subjects (and this trait is occasionally visible even outside his 'lab').
Arrogant: He is right, and no one else is. Valentine thinks very highly of himself, claiming that others were simply too stupid and close minded. He is one to not fear saying what he believes, though knowing when to stop when he began to feel that the other party was helplessly ignorant. For this reason also, Valentine is very hard on receiving advice from others.
Debatable Confidence: Yes, he is unafraid to state what he means. Yes, half of his dictionary is filled with insults to make even the bravest of warriors cry. However, Valentine has a major stage fright and will stammer if having to talk to a mass of people at once.
Unstable: Despite his usual composure and being mostly patient, Valentine is very much unstable. On the right moments, he would snap at a moments notice on a good day, despite others having felt that nothing has happened before. Thankfully, he is, however, very rarely enraged.
Introverted: Truthfully. No, that does not mean he is awkward in social meetings (perhaps only when drunk), yet perhaps he preferred limited social interaction, if possible. His true friends were, after all, the figures scattered along his lab.

Half-Blood Noble: It was never quite a sure fact, yet for all he knew, Valentine never met his mother. The moment the boy began to understand his surroundings, his mother was gone. His father was a noble man, a high rank in Ursuna, yet his mother was rumored to have been a wytch, much to his dislike. After all, people began connecting his 'magical capabilities' with his 'supposed wytch blood'. He has an adopted younger sister, almost seven years younger than he is.
Sanity Slippage: Debatably insane since childhood, he did not even know where it all had begun. As a young boy, he was the type to sit under the trees, gazing up the stars and ponder over the secrets of life. Perhaps a contributing factor was that the fact that his father was rarely around that the boy had much time to spare by himself, developing a rather. . . odd behavior. It was when he was twelve when he first started to develop his own private 'lab' in his room, capturing creatures and studying them before it eventually evolved into one he currently have in his own house.
Unofficial Dropout: Valentine attended medical school in his youth, though notably dropping out due to thinking that it was all nothing but a huge waste of time. His father ushered him to come back, yet the male refused. Considered a disgrace, this grew a strain between the two males despite of course, Valentine never being close to his father anyway. That day on, he switched to focus more on his own research, which loses lots of opportunity since his father stopped funding it.
High Warlock of Ursuna: The term, loosely used, was warlock. A person who practices magic. He did not like it, but that was how people perceived it. Not science- magic. While initially performing research specifically only for himself, soon he had began to open a free-lanced service, ranging from casting curses, tracking, scourging information, or curing people. Admittedly, as he was soon proven effective, he grew in popularity and the service price quickly shoots up the sky. He was never quite needy in terms of daily necessity, yet he had other things to worry about. . .
Journey of the Soul: The basis of his research and long termed obsession- and everything he stands for. Where does the soul reside? What defines as a living? Can you bring the living back? And he's going to the ends of the Earth to find it.

Weaknesses / Vices:
• Not really the strongest in hand-to-hand combat. The guy literally spends half of his time surrounded by already dead men, after all.
• Too stubborn to listen to advice, even if he needs it. This can often lead him astray, and even then he would still prefer to stay by his own standards as he is too prideful to admit his mistakes.
• His obsessions get the best of him- and often this could as well be his downfall.

Personality:
Fearless/Confident: Being a powerful, ageless being tends to give you confidence. Even when stuck in human form, this confidence carried over. He would rather straight up face his fears, than run away.
Proud/Arrogant: White Dragons tend to be a proud kind, and Stra especially so. He believes he is better than any other species out there, including other dragon types.
Childish: Stra is rather young for a dragon, and it shows in his behaviour. He is impatient, pouts and throws tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants, and tends to whine a lot.
Salty: He is incredibly annoyed to be stuck in a human form. Every tiny thing annoys him, he complains about everything.
Determined: When he sets his mind on something, hell will freeze over before he gives up.
Straightforward/Honest: Though he hides his true identity for his own safety, he is generally not a fan of lying. He speaks his mind, for better or for worse, and tackles problems head-on.

Background:
Birth: Strarphiur was born in the sky —unusual even for White Dragons. When he was still an egg, humans raided their nest, capturing his mother and stealing her heart. However, before they could finish her off, she managed to escape, grabbing and saving a single egg from her nest —Strarphiur. She built a nest for him in her arms, and flew in the sky, refusing to touch ground for fear of the humans finding her and taking her son away.

Childhood: When growing up, the land was a "forbidden place" for Strarphiur. His mother had warned him against it, and the horrible creatures that live down there. He got any energy he needed from lightning, and only rarely did his mother leave him do descend and hunt for proper food. This resulted in him being slightly smaller in size than the average White Dragon.

The land below: As the years passed, his mother's corruption begun to slowly catch up to her, and it became increasingly difficult for her to hunt for food. This was the first time Strarphiur left the skies and descended to the land below. At first he was fascinated by it, but that fascination quickly faded, when he discovered how the people of the land had been treating dragons for centuries. He'd heard it from his mother, of course, but hearing it and seeing it were two different things.

Solitude: Strarphiur took care of his mother through all the stages of her corruption, until it completely claimed her, when he was 40 years old. She flew away, never to return, not wanting to risk hurting him. He has been soaring through the skies alone ever since. Occasionally he would come across other dragons here and there, and he was civil enough around them, but did not spent too long around anyone in particular. He had a few short term partners —White Dragons, of course— but again, nothing serious. He preferred his own company.

The hoard: Through the years he collected different shiny, pretty objects from around the world, and hoarded them all in his nest, at the top of the highest mountain he could find. Some of those objects are valuable, such as gold or gems, but most of them are not —they are things most humans would consider "trash." No one is allowed near his hoard.

The curse: While flying through a particularly nasty hurricane, Strarphiur fell and hurt his wing. An old woman helped him out, and in return she asked him for a small favour —to provide her with shelter for a night, in his nest. She offered to give him a small pendant with a white stone, to add to his collection. Strarphiur laughed in her face and turned her away, claiming that he and his nest were too good for creatures of the land and whatever gifts they may bear. The old woman warned him not to treat other creatures as if they were beneath him, but again he scorned her and turned her away.

The old woman revealed herself to be a powerful Wytch, and cursed Strarphiur to be trapped in a human form, to wander the lands that he so hates, stuck on two feet. The pendant she had offered was truly an enchanted pendant, whose stone would gradually turn from white to black. If he could learn to respect and care for a creature other than his own kind, and gain the same in return, by the time the the stone turned completely black, then the curse would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a human for all time.

Strengths/Talents: Excellent sense of direction, can navigate using both the stars and the sun. Can read the wind to predict the weather with great accuracy. Persuasive —his piercing gaze and deep voice tend to help when it comes to persuading others. Talented hunter, even in human form. Good at sensing fear.
Weaknesses/Vices: Stubborn, childish, over-confident, prideful. Not yet used to his human body, so can be clumsy. Ignorant of many things regarding life on the ground, as well as being a human.


Magic: Eyes of the dragon. Even in his human form, he retains his dragon gaze. When he uses it, his pupils become slit for a moment, and while the person he's using it on will be in too much of a haze to realise, there is the danger of others nearby seeing —he needs to be careful about who he uses it on and where.
With his eyes, he has the power to intimidate and turn away creatures of the wild, or simple-minded humanoids.
He can "look into the soul" of people and see if they are telling the truth or not.
He can ask them about what their desires are, and they have to answer truthfully —though it can be vague. The extent of the answer depends greatly on how strong-willed the other person is. (For example, a weak-willed person would say "I desire to pose as the queen's servant and murder her to steal her throne," while a stronger person could simply say "I desire power/recognition")


Goals: To return to his dragon form and soar the skies once again. Also, to have the largest, most impressive hoard.

Weapons/Special Items: Enchanted pendant —the one the Wytch gave him when she cursed him. He wears it at all times and checks it regularly, to make sure he still has time to break his curse. He also carries a variety of random things on him, from jewellery to frying pans.

He was powerless as she force-fed him her own blood and turned him into a vampire.

★After the whole ordeal was over, Rainecourt fled the city and hid himself in the Wilds, where he planned to starve himself of blood in order to prevent himself from harming anyone else. Unfortunately, on a night where he was on the verge of death, a lone child had decided to go out at night to play. In a blood-starved frenzy, he drained the child of all of their blood. Horrified at the act, he eventually decided to turn himself in at the local village and convert to the Disciples of Wulnir.

★Like the Order of the New Gods, the Disciples believe in a man who transcended his mortal body and became a god. Unlike the Order, the Disciples believe his name was Wulnir, and that through flagellation and repentance purged his body of all sin and became a perfect being. While the Order is much more lenient with what one may do on their own, according to the Disciples, activities such as drinking and sex are sinful. Rainecourt learned to absolve himself of such activities, instead living his life as a preacher and inquisitor, a living example of what a Disciple should be.

★Rainecourt is what is known as a flagellant, someone who repents for their sins by whipping themselves. Additionally, with no cure for his vampirism in sight, the Disciples decided to make an exception for him, seeing as he was willing to use his curse for good. It was deemed that Rainecourt was chosen to suffer both the lash and the curse, and that he did. His scarred body was nothing compared to the eternity in hell he believed to be waiting for him should he stray from the path of righteousness.

★As an inquisitor, Rainecourt hunts down serious violators of the faith (i.e. murderers, rapists, monsters, etc.) and kills them, often draining their blood to feed himself. As a preacher, Rainecourt tells passerby's of the faith and uses himself as an example of sin and redemption.

★Fiery- He isn't going to just sit there and take it he will fight back verbally, using his wit, or physically if he has to. He isn't the type to get stepped all over!!


★Intelligent- He thinks and not only does he think he excels at thinking. He is almost always trying to do something or figure something out and he will stop at nothing to get everything exactly the way it should be.

★Micro Managing- He likes to be the boss and he worries about everything so sometimes he just takes charge. HE will often take too much stuff onto himself leaving him overwhelmed.

★Blatantly Honest- He tells people what he thinks and he doesn't sugarcoat it he tells it how it is.

★Poetic- He sees everything as a source of inspiration as a muse for art and he expresses the way he feels about things in an interesting and sometimes confusing way.

★Empathetic- He is able to put himself in other people's shoes and realize what they are going through, that doesn't mean he is going to treat you any better.

★Strong Connection to Magic- Corwin was born to a wytch and an elf, both have very strong connections to magic and so he did as well. He loves magic as an art and a science but he also realizes that people don't always like magic and they do have reasons not to. Magic can be scary and dangerous just like the people using it can be.

★Mother's Death- His mother was a wytch and was attacked by a duo of twin witch hunters named Hansel and Gretel they look like children and his mother thought that they where lost in the forest however they where secretly just sent to kill her. She was making them pie and they shoved her into the oven and locked her in there till she burnt up and died then they burned down Corwin's home his father who was a noble elf came and saved him, at this time he was only a child and he was given his fathers surname and treated like a prince.

★A Coup- After living in his father's palace for quite a few years one of his father's brothers decided he didn't like waiting so long for the oldest to die so he set up a coup. As a young adult he was at the university in the city for the day, he was just about to leave when the men stormed in trying to kill him, as the men rushed into his classroom and started slaughtering everyone his magic suddenly activated time around him slowed and then stopped altogether, the men and everyone in the city of Narathe had frozen in time.

★Mentor- His magic had awakened in a burst and he was worried it would happen again so he set out to find a mentor to help him control his magic powers, he finally found a mentor in an old lady who lived near Astara in the Dark Forest, she taught him how to control his magic and then he went to try to break the spell on Narathe, but he realized then that he wasn't strong enough to break the spell on even a single person who lived in his old city and that he would have to develop his powers more if he wanted to break the spell. He went back to his mentors house and found her dead and a pair of childlike humanoids covered in blood.

★The Reds- The reds are an organization that oppose the wolf queen, the current leader is called Little Red most easily characterized by her Red Hood a cloak that resists magic and allows a boosting of speed and strength. Corwin lives inside their territory and they don't like him much due to the fact that he once tried to steal Little Red's cloak.

★Sprites Hollow- Corwin has a natural affinity for sprites and pixies for some reason they just get along with him. He lives in a place called Sprites Hollow a little village of Sprites and Pixies and he takes care of them and they help him, he has two assistants one is a Fire Sprite named Lume and the other a Pixie named Bell. He and his two sidekicks defend the sprites hollow from people they see as bad, Bell get's extremely jealous when people flirt with Corwin.

Magic

The city that he is trying so hard to save is his medium for his magic, it not only keeps him from losing to much power but it is the source of his power. A piece of him resides in the city and every time he uses magic it drains energy out of that piece of him and out of the City.

Illusion Magic- His other main type of magic is Illusion Magic. He can use this to do things like make people disoriented or create an army that doesn't really exist, he is very good at this type of magic when it comes to tricks and things but if you had some sort of true sight he probably couldn't trick you with that aspect of this magic. His techniques include

  • Disorientation- He causes a state of general confusion.
  • False Image- He creates something that isn't real but that is seen by his target or tagets
  • Make Noise- He can make noise from a place that isn't where he is.
  • Conjure Light- He can make his hand light up and make things in a room visible.
His mentor taught him how to use illusion magic to manipulate and trick people, she started teaching him other things, however before she could she died.

Forgotten Doors- he also has the ability to see the doors that lead to different places like the ones fae use, he however cannot use them unless they are opened for him. This is how he first found Sprites Hollow.

Appearance His wings are dragonfly wings in style, a set of four, red at the base fading to cyan. He loathes them and frequently threatens to have them lopped off. They do not show up in his human form unless he is pissed off.

His human form is a transformation, but those under the effects of shrooms or with other similar items are able to see him in his 'true' form.

★ Grumpy Old Man Extraordinaire

★ Salty that he was supposed to be becoming epic and all-powerful and now he's a professional bodyguard. He was destined for greater things than this! Curses! (secretly regrets nothing)

★ Two-faced to the extreme. Most people think he is a wholesome bean filled with smiles and sunshine and here to help you <3 It doesn't help the truth to come out that his human form is extremely baby-faced, handsome, and equipped with a voice like warm caramel (not his words).

★ Naturally malicious but he's tempered somewhat in his old age- or, more, Magnar has shown him you can still troll without being evil. He's more morally grey now, and is generally only harmful when someone messes with something/someone he cares about.

★ Reluctantly Helpful - Though he will almost never admit to it, confess to it even under sway of torture, Puck has been known to help out those he takes a shining to. He will usually aim to do this in a way that can never be traced back to him. He loathes gratitude and simpering above all else.

Background

★ Legend has him down as all sorts. The initiator of wars, the causer of great feuds, the ultimate stirrer of pots, and also something of a cupid figure. Most well known is his rivalry with The Sandman, who supposedly opposes his methods/life choices and tried to get him murdered several times. It's a favor Puck has more than once returned. In legend, he is known as 'The Minotaur' when associated with violence and war, 'Puck' when with love, gossip, and mischief. Nowadays, he goes by Puck; 'The Minotaur' sounds so pretentious.

★ At present, he's hung up his disaster causing hat so to speak, and now just seems content to travel with his husband, Magnar, the travelling merchant. Those who know the pair claim the latter to be a good influence. Those who are new to them think the opposite. Who knows what is really going on there.

Magic
★ Puck's innate form of magic is the ability to bring out the repressed emotions/desires/thoughts of others, rather like 'The Gothic Double', however it causes them to manifest in the people who hold them themselves. When around him, reality starts to distort for others, their suppressed emotions bubble up to the surface, voices in their thoughts whisper what they have always tried not to think about. As a result, around him, those who loathe one another but pretend otherwise tend to get into the fights they've always avoided, repressed lovers fly into one anothers' arms, and the carefully managed calm of civilized company devolves into carnal desire and emotion. He's a great party guest, but not someone you're advised to invite to a peace treaty.

★ If Puck has been around you long enough, he can choose to plant his influence in your mind so that it haunts you wherever you go. Hallucinations of figures telling you to act on what you truly want shall manifest everywhere, in the form of whomever/whatever you are most likely to heed the information from. It becomes impossible to tell the difference between reality and delusion, and drives most people mad should they try to resist. This is a curse known as 'Friend of The Minotaur'.

★ As a consequence for his magic, however, it's almost impossible for anyone to be around him long term as they lose their grasp on reality unless they are fairies/fairy dragons.

Appearance Diego, because of how he was frozen in time, has not aged in the thousand years that had passed. He wears clothing that is of old times. It is still in good condition since it hasn't been harmed in his sleep. Despite his position in life as a noble, he is wearing traveler's clothing though it still does have traces of nobility. Underneath his clothing is a chainmail and his clothing is padded for extra protection.

Personality
★ Brave - Diego is able to face his fears with courage and valor. It is not to say that he is unafraid of anything, but he is strong enough to face them. This is amplified when he's trying to impress someone.

★ Curious - Because he has just recently woken up from his curse, he is infinitely curious in what is happening. This also means that he is naive to the way of the world now.

★ Adaptable - He can adapt to his surroundings rather quickly. He's a quick learner as well; hence his confidence in his survival in this odd future of his world. As long as he can get someone to teach him the ways of the new world, he can blend in society once again.

★ Follower - He was cursed because of this trait. He followed his older brother because he's easily persuaded. In fact, once Diego trusts someone enough or even sees them as a person of power, he will be more easily persuaded and will probably follow them.

★ Humorous - He can easily find fun anywhere to be honest. He likes to laugh and just play it easy every once in a while. While he can be serious, he usually isn't. It is an endearing trait up until it becomes obvious that he uses it as an escape from the reality he is in right now.

★ Repentant - Many times in his life, he's been shown to follow his brother's lead, but has also shown that he feels guilty every time he thinks about it. He tries to repent time and time again, only to be pulled back by his brother. Once he wakes up, he is going to try again and again to repent for what he has done.

★ Charming - Diego is a very charming fellow. He's rarely flirtatious, but he unknowingly ventures into this line. He tries his best to impress after all.

Background

Birth: Diego was born in the old Kingdom of Berbanya to the brother of the ruling monarch of Berbanya - as the second child. The Kingdom of Berbanya was once found in the area in the Astara Drifts - but has been abandoned in the one thousand years between his old life and the present. Diego was actually a bastard child between Don Fernando, his father, and a Wytch. When he was born, the Wytch left Diego at the hands of Don Fernando and his wife, Donya Mirasol. This caused some tension which ended with Diego being shunned by his mother - but his older brother, Pedro, was very friendly to him. This was soon followed by Juan, who was just as friendly and accepting. They were bred as nobility with a hint of politics just in case King Simone decided that his own sons were not fit for the throne.

Childhood: Diego got along well with both his older brother, Pedro, and his younger brother, Juan. However, he mostly took orders from the oldest brother because, well, sibling hierarchy and everything. He played with them often, but mostly challenged his instructor to combat with a sword. That's how he learned different fighting styles - more than both of his brothers, though he was far from the most skillful thanks to him trying to learn as many as he can instead of sticking to one practice. Since his mother rarely paid any mind to Diego, and his father doesn't really care too much about him, he was able to get out of the manor more frequently than his brothers. This was when he met Donya Juliana, a young woman of noble birth. After their meeting, they frequently hung out under the noses of their parents.

Challenge: When he was twenty-seven, the King of Berbanya became ill. It is said that only the song of the mystical bird that lives in the Dark Forest can cure him. So, their father tasked Pedro to fetch the bird. After a month, Pedro has not come back yet. This was when his father tasked both the capture of the mythical bird and taking his brother back home. So he went on and ventured into the Dark Forest alone only armed with a sword and a backpack with food and essentials in it.

Encounter: He found the mystical bird deep within the forest after three weeks of searching. It first started off with Deigo finding his brother Pedro's body - turned into stone. His face was serene, as if he had been turned into stone willingly. However, there was one clue that pointed to the mystical bird being there - its feathers were all over the places. And so, Deigo figured that it would come back to the same tree after a while. He began investigating about his brother but soon grew tired as he figured that he could also use the mystical bird to return his brother back to normal. He sat down, and waited. Hours pass until he hears a distinctive song - a mystical and hypnotic type of song. He struggled to keep his eyes open as he saw the mystical bird perch itself on top of the tree - only to see that it was a dragon, a Fairy dragon to be exact. He closed his eyes to never open them again.

Safety: He woke up months later to his brother Juan's face lit up in joy. Diego saw that Juan had managed to convince the Fairy Dragon to go back to the kingdom with them, only to find out that the Fairy Dragon was working with a Wytch who cursed anyone who would try to capture it. Juan then went over to convince the Wytch to help them. He succeeded. They Wytch told them that by letting the Fairy Dragon to sing in front of the sick King for a year. Pedro, jealous of Juan, convinced Diego to steal the Fairy Dragon from Juan so that they would come home with the glory. Diego agreed to this, albeit reluctantly. Pedro then said that they should kill Juan - but Diego quickly convinced his older brother to just leave Juan inside the Dark Forest. Pedro agreed and they went to do it. They succeeded but when they got back to the kingdom, Juan came soon after, forgiving them but he got to take the Fairy Dragon to the King. Six months into this, and Diego was married to his childhood sweetheart Donya Juliana, and they moved to another house.

The Curse: Pedro, angered, once more convinced Diego to let the Fairy Dragon go before he could heal the King. Diego tried to convince his brother to not do it, as they finally got their peaceful life in order; Diego had a wife after all, but Pedro was adamant. In hopes that his brother would finally stop, Diego agreed and let the Fairy Dragon go, who then promptly flew away. The two were caught in the act and was banished for their treachery. In a fit of rage, Pedro went on to kill his brother - Juan - with Diego helping him. However, once they reached Juan's room, only Pedro and Juan dueled with Diego spectating. When Pedro was about to deal the final blow, Diego reacted and put himself in between Juan and Pedro. At that moment, the entirety of Berbanya was perpetually frozen in time - all of the citizens turned to stone. A magical barrier was erected around it by a mysterious force, and the Kingdom of Berbanya was forgotten by everyone and was turned into a myth.

However, Diego is not like anyone else in the Kingdom of Berbanya. His human blood is mixed with Wytch blood - a Wytch that was particularly known for her magical resistance. But Diego cannot awaken without someone to disturb the peace in the cursed kingdom of Berbanya, so now he is simply sleeping unlike everyone else around him. Sleeping, and waiting.

Strengths / Talents
  • Diego is a jack of all trades. He can fight, cook, sew, farm and anything else you could think of that he would need for survival.
  • Diego is skilled with weaponry, however, as this mostly took up his time as learning wielding a weapon was his hobby.
  • His mind works at a very fast pace - almost impossibly so. He's known as a fast learner, but this was an understatement, since he can learn things at a rate faster than normal, making him a very adaptable person.
Weaknesses / Vices
  • A jack of all trades is a master of none. Diego, while he knows the rudimentary works of multiple skills, isn't an expert on them.
  • He follows people easily, even through the life he's lived, he still believes that others have a stronger opinion than him - especially those he believes to be in a position of power.
  • He knows the culture of a thousand years ago. That was a thousand years ago. You know what that means? Diego has absolutely no idea what is going on in the world. Common Tongue? What the hell is that?
  • He easily gets bored when learning about things he has absolutely no interest in. This was one of the reasons why he's not so skilled in other fields despite how fast he learns something else.

Magic
Diego is a Half-Wytch, and while he is not aware of it, he does have some magical capabilities. He does not know how to use or practice it, yet. He has the passive capabilities of his Wytch mother - who was particularly known for her high resistance against her own kind's magic. His naturally high resistance to magic is what allowed him to break free of the curse. However, this is not to say that he is immune. In fact, this merely means that he's more susceptible to breaking free of curses given that something relatively close happened. For example, a true love's kiss can break the curse - for him, it can merely be a kiss. He is also acutely aware of magical auras around him, though he is not aware of it and simply thinks that whoever has an incredible amount of magical aura is someone that is 'special' or 'chosen'.

His magic is centered around healing magic, for a great price. By imbuing a creature with magical restorative properties, the creature will be able to heal someone else - ranging from an unknown illness to the common cold. But of course, the former has a very great price that comes with it. One of its limits is that for its larger scaled healing magic, it has to be imbued into a creature of equal strength. Much like how the Wytch gave the restorative properties to a Fairy Dragon so that it could heal the King of an unknown illness, Diego must do this as well. He can eventually use moderate illusion magic, but that is another thing entirely, and something that he will learn much later on. If he gets a teacher, that is.

Weapons/Special Items
  • Kampilan - A traditional type of sword in Berbanya, but this one was made with their finest materials as a gift to his father. It was passed down to Pedro, at first, but was then given to him by Pedro himself. The sword was enchanted with a durability and sharpness charm by his mother before.
  • Necklace - He has a necklace that is engraved with markings known only for the royals and their noble relatives. It is made of pure gold and the pendant is embedded with a diamond in the middle. It can be opened and see the diamond it all its glory - with ruby gems surrounding it. It is, in fact, a gift from his mother that suppresses his Wytch nature, but the seal was broken during the curse; hence the appearance of the diamond being cracked.

    Occupation Member and Creator of The Golden Elixir, an elite and secretive group of warriors who share common interests. They are currently neutral on the moral scale and seem to be interested in the mystery that surrounds Ursuna and its eternal winter.
    Appearance Giqou stands at 6'2 (6 feet 2 inches) which he considers the perfect height. His skin is tan and almost looks burnt while the entirety of his body is covered in patches of thick blonde fur. Giqou has a muscular build and the veins under his arms and neck tend to pop up frequently, even if he isn't doing any heavy lifting (or stressing). Instead of the normal teeth a human would have, Giqou has fangs and a blood red tongue. His nails are black and grow much faster than the average human's. His nails always end up growing into a shape of sharp-edged triangles. Giqou's most distracting quality are his golden eyes that definitely stand out in public places. His eyebrow hairs are very thin and blend in with the colour of his skin so people standing a considerable distance from him wouldn't even see that he had eyebrows. His legs are covered in so many scars, it looks like someone created a tally chart on how many days have passed since the start of his existence. If it weren't obvious, Giqou is a Mesomorph-type body which gives him that athletic, compact and naturally lean body. On the lower part of his back, a bushy-blonde tail swings back and forth.

    Personality
    ★ Giqou is an extremely patient person. Living for more than 100 years will do that to you. He refuses to rush any plan or get ahead of himself by letting emotions get the better of him.


    ★ Despite his usual smug facial expressions, Giqou is probably one of the most humble people you'd meet. His experience with life and training through Taoism has taught him that there is nothing to gain from trying to put yourself over someone else. He believes that everyone is equal. Even if you were born with an unimaginable strength, he would see you no different from a beggar on the streets. Even so, Giqou is not afraid to let others know how he is feeling. If he has a negative feeling towards something, he will not let it pass and do his best to intervene even if it may not entirely be right. He will only fight if the other side will give him no other option.

    ★ Saying that Giqou is unpredictable is an understatement. One moment he can be a serious and wise warrior and then turn into a clumsy goofball. Some who have met him have said that they think he does this to throw people off but they are not even really sure. Giqou changes his mood frequently which can sometimes make it difficult for others to take him seriously, but do not mistaken-- he always knows what he is doing.

    ★ Constant years of fighting and training have turned Giqou into a fearless warrior. He is quite confident about his abilities and whether he is clumsy or serious, he confidence always seems to just radiate from him. Even so, he believes using violence to retaliate violence only creates more violence. He will only fight if he has to, believing that a lot of the world's 'earthly' problems could be solved if people just communicated better.

    ★ Giqou is not one to simply be distrusting. He doesn't see trust as something that can just be given or received from a few simple acts of honesty. To gain trust from Giqou (or the other way around), a person would have to act with a good moral code. He has lived long enough to be betrayed by friends and those who he even just met; words mean nothing to him if you can't back it up with words. If a person was to prove they were trustful, Giqou would do almost anything to protect them.

    ★ He likes apples. He likes them a lot.

    Background (background is obviously different thank sun wukong's origin story)

    ★ Giqou is very different from the majority of the population in which he was never born. Giqou first took the shape of a magical rock that resembled a sparkling, red fairy egg. The rock seemed to come out of nowhere, laying in one of the many caverns in the volcanic lands. The rock stayed in the same place for two months before a female magma dragon saw it and took the rock deep underground. Waiting a day, the dragon leaned over the rock as hot lava spilled from its mouth and onto the shining stone. The lava that touched the stone seemed to almost solidify and cover the entirety of the rock, staying like that for a few seconds until the rock started steaming and glowed a bright orange, transforming into the picture on the right.

    ★ When Giqou formed, he was a child but not a baby. He could walk by himself and already manage a few phrases in English. Giqou was not the only thing that came from the magical rock-- when he spawned, he held a staff that was much too big for him. Instead of burning him alive, the dragon took him in as one of her own as her own children had become of age and left. Since there was no food in that kind of environment, his 'mother' would fly out and get the food herself.

    ★ Growing up, Giqou had a natural gift for fighting even if he didn't know it yet. He would drag the staff around and work out almost every day as there was nothing else to do. When he reached the age of 24, his aging could no longer be seen physically. Giqou left volcanic lands at the age of 25 and it was only a few months later did he realize the power he truly possessed.

    ★ Now at the age of 30, Giqou had spent the majority of his life with a dragon. He was out in the world by himself and even though he knew how to speak, his lack of communication skills made it hard for him to even by a loaf of bread without stuttering. Giqou was lost and even though he was capable of fighting for himself, he had no use for it.

    ★ In a small village (age 50), Giqou came across a group in a tavern called The Golden Elixir. Apparently, the previous night they had taken down a group of bandits who tried to steal from the tavern but were now rewarded with free drinks for a week. He could tell just by the way they sat down they were confident, strong people. The third day after they helped the tavern, they were preparing to leave and Giqou watched them, not realizing that they were watching him as well. Found out, Giqou begged for them to take him along even if it was only temporarily. They agreed.

    ★ Spending time with them made Giqou stronger and he became a permanent member of the group once he proved he could protect himself. As he got older, all his friends from The Golden Elixir had been killed or passed away which made Giqou lonely again so he finally made a decision to start up the group again in honor of his fallen friends. The majority of his life has been tied to The Golden Elixir aand he can't seem to part with it.

    Weaknesses / Vices Inability to make lasting positive relationships, Still does not know of how he came to be


    Magic/Abilities
    ★ Giqou's abilities can't really be called magic and their true source is unknown. Firstly, Giqou has supernatural strength and agility. He moves faster than most, especially in areas like a forest. Giqou can utilize his tail to give him a bit more movement. Giqou usually is seen shirtless and that is because his skin acts like leather armor, meaning those wishing to inflict physical armor will have to swing once or twice more. While a good use for this ability is still unknown to Giqou, he can multiply each of his arms creating two more for each arm (making it six total). This requires a lot of magic and stamina out of Giqou. He doesn't need to summon all the arms at once, but depending on how many arms he creates the more tired he will be afterwards.


    ★ Giqou can transform into a small monkey about ten inches long. There are more problems with this type of transformation magic. When he shrinks down to this size, the crown shrinks down as well but if the crown is knocked off of his head while he is in this form, he will start to turn back into the regular Giqou under the span of 84 seconds. Also, Giqou is unable to speak English in this form. The only beings who can understand what he is trying to say are dragons and it isn't like he has one of those in his back pocket to translate. Finally, if Giqou decided to hold this form for longer than an hour, he will be unable to speak English in his regular form for at least 6 hours.

    All of these magical abilities came about when Giqou emerged from the magical rock.

    Giqou's staff, is special because it can only be used by him. If someone else were to touch it (with their hands), it would immediately start to burn through their flesh. If someone were to wear a suit of armor and touch it, it would start to burn as well. The only way to protect yourself against it (without magic) is to wear heavy gloves but that would only be a temporary solution. For some unknown reason, dragons are able to touch it with no negative effects (unknown to Giqou). If the staff is not within 20 meters of Giqou for 24 hours, it will fly back to him.

Appearance:

Tall and lithe, Min stands at 5'10" and carries herself lightly. She is willowy in frame, lacks many curves, and is rather flat chested. Upon first glance, most would assume that Min is human as she does not appear to have any wings or feathers to speak of. The only characteristic that marks her as immediately non-human are her deep, maroon-coloured eyes. Her dark black hair is long enough that the ends touch the small of her back, but she rarely leaves it loose. At the very least, she will keep it in a low ponytail, or if she's fighting, gather it up for a spiraled bun. Min always keeps her hands and arms concealed. Only those she's closest to know that her hands and arms are covered in short, black, sickly looking down feathers.

Personality:

★ Steadfast. The challenges Min has faced during her life have taught her how to stay the course. She is firm in her purpose and faith.

★ Optimistic. Despite the hardships she's face, Min always tries to look on the bright side of things. Sometimes relentlessly so. Those who know her well may recognize this as her coping mechanism.

★ Compassionate. Min is driven to help the sick, the injured, and the downtrodden. She empathizes with those who have been harmed by actions beyond their control and will fight to be their voice or protector.

★ Meddlesome. Min was never one of those people that could leave well enough alone. No matter the situation, she feels that she has to involve herself in it, if only to satisfy her own curiousity.

★ Naïve. As a firm believer in second chances, Min is willing to give just about anyone or anything the benefit of the doubt. This commonly gets her into trouble, but she's unwilling to alter her ideals, even if she promises to be more careful next time. There's always a next time.

★ Impulsive. Leap before you look is a motto that Min leads her life by. She rarely considers the consequences of her actions and is too focused on the end goal to consider any complications in between.

Background

★ Early Life, Training, and Setting Out. In the treetop Noct settlement, Xiang Wei and Xiuying welcomed their only child, whom they named Jun. However, it wasn't long before it became clear that such a name and identity would not be a good fit for the young Noct. While it took a while for her family to get used to calling her Min, it eventually became second nature. Min's youngest years were calm and uneventful, barring the fact that she had an endless desire for news of the outside world. She read everything she could get her hands on, spoke with every bird that crossed her path, and snuck out at any opportunity she got, much to the frustration of her protective parents.

Nothing could tie Min's adventuring spirit down. In addition to exploring, Min also put herself in the tutelage of a local adventuring monk. During her training she learned how to defend herself, both hand to hand and with a weapon, but never quite learned how to remain calm and patient. As soon as she came of age, Min bid a tearful farewell to her family and community. Though it pained her to leave her family behind, her desire to see the world she had read and heard so much about eclipsed her fears. She had a plan: she'd travel to the Floating City and soak up every bit of culture she could. Yet her parents' fears were not unfounded, and it wasn't long into her journey before trouble found Min.

★ A Terrible Fate. Min knew that hunters preyed on Noct for their feathers. She knew that some species liked to take their feathers and use them in magical items. She knew that she had enough skill to defend herself if they attacked. She just didn't know to expect quite so many when they did ambush her. It was the middle of the day, when she had alighted to fill her waterskin, that she was set upon by hunters. They caught her off guard initially. One staggered her with a crossbow bolt to her right shoulder, but by the time she had recovered from the shock of the hit, they surrounded her. She took only one down as they overwhelmed her with a solid crack to the hunter's head with her staff, but they paid her one in return. For a while everything went black.

★ The Bargain. Pain seared through Min as she woke. Around her was a gory mess of her own blood slicked feathers. The hunters had torn her wings from her body. They'd cut with their brutal weapons, ripped and plucked when that was insufficient, and left her to die with her blood seeping into a lake where she'd stopped to drink. Here she remained until day gave way to dusk, slowly dying until a figure appeared in front of her. This person was a Wytch, and she had a proposal for Min. The Wytch said, "I have a simple request for you. It's an easy task; you'll lift nothing heavier than a pebble to do it, and in exchange, I'll save your life. I'll even put feathers back on your arms." Min had little choice but to agree.

★ The Curse. In return for Min's life, the Wytch gave her not a task, but a curse. During all her waking hours, Min was compelled to drop pebbles into the lake until the lake was full. If she attempted to abandon this task, her whole body would be wracked with pain. The longer she resisted, the worse it would become until she returned to her task. The longest she was ever able to resist was a few hours, and the only reprieve she got was when she slept. For a year, Min carried pebble after pebble into the lake until the lake began to dam and overflow.

★ The Golden Elixir. Then one day, while tiredly working at her task collecting pebbles, she stumbled across a group known as the Golden Elixir. She explained her fate them and her own powerlessness to free herself from the curse despite knowing where the Wytch's hearth was. She could not do it alone. Desperate to release herself from the curse, Min pledged her allegiance to the Golden Elixir should they assist her. Such pledges were not necessary, and with the Golden Elixir, Min stormed the Wytch's home and extinguished the hearth. The curse was broken, but the Wytch herself could not be found.

As promised, Min dedicated herself to the Golden Elixir, though less out of duty and more out of a genuine desire to join their cause. She has been with them ever since. To this day, a large mound of pebbles exists on the Southeastern corner of the lake.

  • impulsive and sometimes rushes head-first into things

Magic:
  • Speak with birds. Like all Nocts, Min is able to communicate with birds. They are able to understand her speech, and she is able to understand the chirps and movements of birds as if they were speaking the common tongue. She must be within hearing distance to do this.
  • Luck. Due to her species, Min is naturally more lucky during the evening hours. Harm is less likely to befall her during these hours, though not impossible, and it's rare than she becomes lost. However, this is inverted during the day. When the sun is in the sky, if something can go wrong, it will.
  • Superior stealth. Despite no longer having her wings, Min is still quiet and stealthy. During the night or in the shade, shadows seem to bend to her will and conceal her. Careful observation or those with superior sight will still detect her.

Goals / Dreams / Motivations:
  • Min feels that she owes The Golden Elixir her life. She is a dedicated supporter of their cause.
  • She hopes that the Golden Elixir will uncover the power that keeps Ursuna in an eternal winter and break the curse.
  • Not all Min's dreams are noble. She wants revenge on the hunters that robbed her of her wings and the death of the Wytch that toyed with her but escaped justice.

Appearance Though he was born as a male cat, the last face he took on was rather feminine. He doesn't mind it but the face is terribly mismatched with his manly, deep, syrupy voice. The colour of his eyes constantly change and are often differently coloured. Perhaps the scariest part of his face are his sharp, feline teeth which are visible every time he smiles. His hair is greying at the roots (he must devour a new scalp soon) and is cropped at his chin to hide his ears, which are orcish. Luca almost always wears long, billowy clothing to hide his Frankenstein's Monster-like body from those who would otherwise figure out who he was. It can be noted from his peculiar limp that one of his legs is longer than the other, due to his legs not being from the same person. Until he finds a replacement, he'll have a limp but, unless he really wants somebody else's body part or his current one is aging, he won't go out of his way to replace it—plus, it hasn't stopped him from killing when he has wanted to. His right arm is smooth and darkly tanned whilst his left arm is noticeably more musclier and electric blue (from a wandering Deimos he encountered). He's ambidextrous and has had the same hands since birth.
Personality

★ Creepy - Even when his body isn't mismatched, his existence is just unsettling (and sometimes even terrifying) for others. His excrutiatingly slow, lilting voice either chills people to the bone or makes them want to slap him in the face. He has a habit of tilting his head from side to side constantly and purrs.

★ Playful trickster - Like a cat with yarn, Luca likes to play with humans as if they're toys. Apart from devouring a person completely, Luca's next favourite thing to do with someone is play with them. Luca will often trail travellers and play tricks on them.

★ Curious - Humanoids are a topic of interest for Luca. It's not often that he interacts with them, and he knows that if his nature is revealed to them, they'll try to either kill him or run from him. Instead, he observes them from a distance. If he takes a special liking to a body part someone has, there's no doubt that he'll try to kill them for it, but apart from that, he might sometimes try to engage in short conversation.

★ Cunning - Luca is as sly as a cat and will do anything he can to achieve what he wants—and usually gets it.

★ Ruthless - He's never become close enough to anybody (apart from his immediate family) to care about them—and it's likely that he won't for a long time. He is heartless when it comes to getting what he wants and the age, race or gender of his victims don't matter to him. He can form friendships but they tend to be more like the possessive fondness that children have for their toys.

Background

★ Luca's parents were both Cats With Hands. Both of his parents stole the breasts of pregnant women in order to nourish him so he was a rather plump kitten—making it all the more easier when it came to luring his first victims. When he was one years old, he left his home to hunt by himself. However, he has since remet with his siblings a number of times—some of the few beings he has a genuine bond with.

★ He took to prowling the paths of The Dark Forest and feasting upon unsuspecting travelers. During this time, he took more and more of an interest towards the people who passed through and would follow them for a few days before eating them. It was here that he spent the majority of his time, wandering between the Dark Forest and the rest of The Wilds.

★ As time went past, his interest grew further and, at first, he went to the Astara Drifts to observe the life there. A family, seeing his clothes that were unfitting for the cold, invited him into their warm cottage. It was here, when he was 12 years old, that he had his first, proper experiences with humans. He had fun with these new toys and his conversational skills greatly improved. However, he eventually grew bored of them and, before leaving, devoured the face of the youngest daughter of the family—a face he still wears to this day.

★ The area being too cold for his tastes, Luca left Ursuna and started wandering with the main purpose of meeting new people—and eating them. Over time, he begun to realise how quickly he was tiring of the people he encountered. Most he met noticed something off about him and got away as soon as they could. And so he sought to find ways to get more fun out of them. It was at this point he started to purposely mess with passersby, using his creepiness to his advantage, and developed an interesting sense of humour.

★ Hearing of the Knights' Republic, he immediately wanted to travel there. He's rather reckless and doesn't understand what danger he'd be in if a large amount of people discovered he was a Cat With Hands, but, even if he knew, he wouldn't care. It's good for him that he hasn't yet been able to get onto a boat to reach it but it's still one of his goals to visit.

Personality
★ Julian is a curious, but shy individual. He is drawn to new things and knowledge, but he lacks confidence and the Drive to attempt them.
★ He's very sweet and helpful. He Will help those who have lost their way from the Path, and will attempt guide them back to the Path. This has always given mixed results.
★ He's very Passive on any given day, however he can fight if necessary. But he will flee at the best opportunity if there is reason to do so.
★ Julian knows some sort of first-Aid, so he will attempt to help injured individuals, however it's very basic-borderline primitive.
★ Innocent, Due to lack of social-interaction, and growing up in the forest, he is more ignorant to acts of deceit and betrayals.
★ Julian can get very Passionate about what, and who, he likes and dislikes. By all means, he doesn't mean to be rude or disrespectful, but his ignorance does come in the way of his understanding of the consequences of his actions.



Background
Blind, but Not.
Julian has bad eyesight to the point where he may as well not even try and use his eyes. Which is why he has the blindfold. However, with him being an Owl Variation of Nocts, he uses the Owls as his eyes. Even with as young as he is, other than the Elder Owls, he controls the others.
Sheltered but Curious.
Because Julian lived in the Forest, he was brought up by the Elder Owls, and will go to them for help and advice. And thus, will not stray far from them, let alone the forest, even though he does want to explore. He has explored a few times, accompanied by 4-5 other owls keeping an eye out on him and for him.
Confusing Birth Rights
Julian never knew his parents, being told that they died before they could properly Raise him. He was brought up by the Elder Owls, who taught him the majority of what he knows. He has picked up a few other things from travelers, such as his flute, Multiple different types of robes and clothing from people who have wondered lost and died, and other nick-nacks which he likes to collect. He learned that he was related to Harpies when telling the Elder Owls that he didn't need to breathe when playing the flute. The Elder Owls explained that as it was mainly women who were harpies, he had passive abilities, which shone through his magic.
Wong assumptions
Julian, despite wanting to help, is actually assumed to be similar to a Will o' the wisp, or a variant at least, as they are known for leading Travelers off the beaten path. This has caused the people Julian was trying to help to get even more lost, before Julian actually gained the courage to tell them.
Deceiving appearances
Julian, despite his weak-looking appearance, can actually fight. Well, to an extent, as he is quite passive. but he can fight none the less. He can calm others down with his flute, and if they still attack, which was common when he was still getting used to his magic and flute, he has a small dagger which he he uses for self defense more than anything. Recently, he found small pole, that has an extendable sharper-end, that comes out pretty quickly. It scared him slightly, but realised that it was great for surprise close-combat, both blunt and sharp. He hates Violence, but he knows he needs to survive some how.
Nicknames
Julian's Nickname to most of the Owls is Glaúx, Which translates to Little Owl. An affectionate nickname that was was given by the Elder Owls to the point where it just stuck. His owl companion, Tóin, will call him and refer to him as.




Strengths / Talents] Musician (Flute), Agility, Flight.
Weaknesses / Vices: Social Interaction, most combat.
Magic: Julian can use flute music to almost manipulate his opponents. Such as, he can play a tune to stun his opponent, or to unnerve them to the point of fleeing. He can also slightly control the feelings of others, such as a happy tune will cause the people that hear it, to become more energetic and lively, or the complete opposite. He cannot effect those who cannot hear his music, and he is still learning so he's very limited to his abilities. He also is unable to use his flute when it isn't in his hands, as this is his primary weapon.
Julian, however does not need to take a breath because he has a small ability of controlling air. However this is a very minor Ability which is most useful in two aspects. One, to play the flute, and two, to hold his breath. The reason for this small ability is that Julian has a small connection to Harpies, who have some control over the Element air. However, the connection is very small, to the point where it's useless for anything else.

On the Run // Born to two parents wanted by nearly everyone, Kimis Gin spent his first years on the run. After their (inevitable) capture, Kimis Gin was taken with them. Until he was nearly 13, he lived on the edge of starvation in a old cell deep beneath the surface of some city that nobody remembers anymore.

Capture and Death // When his parents were executed, Kimis Gin was taken to watch their deaths, with his own execution scheduled to follow. He was only saved when the city was attacked by some other army, with a name so long that no little 12-year-old boy could remember it. He escaped with the clothes on his back, and nothing more.

The Knight's Republic // From there he somehow found the gates of the Knight's Republic, and spent years of stealing bread and meat from the street vendors and sleeping under the stars. For a boy who had spent his whole life in a stone box, the endless city streets here were a dream come true.

Discovery // It was not until Kimis Jin was 16 that he discovered the wonders of alchemy. All at once, it seemed, he immersed himself-- and discovered the talent he had for the craft. Before long he was an apprentice to a master conjurer, and sold fool's gold on the streets he once slept on. Rising slowly up the ranks, Kimis Gin was no longer a novice near his 27th birthday. He now spent his time alone, with this teachers, studying the elements and their properties.

It Gets Better // With a growing momentum, he continued to develop his craft. By 30 he could collect the lighting that cracked in the sky, conjure mountains of flame from only a drop of water, and even transform lead into gold. Now he ate less than he had in his cell as a child, never leaving his studies and always looking for new breakthroughs. He surpassed his wise alchemy masters by 33, and when they had no more to teach him he found his own place to study.

Answers // Soon he decided that he must answer life's larger questions: he thought it a simple task to divine a formula for endless youth. He would discover how to bring a man back from the dead, or even to see the faces of the gods of the world. To find the answers, he embarked on many dangerous journeys-- he was captured, torchered, burned alive, drowned, sawed in half, struck with sword and mace and lightning bolt. He made countless enemies and no friends. Now, after decades of adventure, he has lost any desire for all but scientific conquest. He has repaired his body as much as he can, but he is now an old man. His mind has started to go as well, but after so much it seems that all he can do is to press on.

Magic Not really magic, but the alchemy is similar enough that I thought I should explain it: with the correct chemicals and ingredients, Kimis Gin can create many things. He can transform one material into another, and always keeps ready a few special concoctions for tricky situations. However, the larger parts of life still elude his science-- he can't ressurect people, he can't (as much as he wants to) turn back time, and he can't wipe entire countries off the map.
