Okay so here's an idea. What if Cassidy's power is similar to Claire in the show Heroes.
Her power being that she can heal/recover from anything, very quickly too (unless the injury is, say, actively killing her. Like a fatal knife wound would heal, UNLESS the knife isn't removed. Then she stays dead until the knife is removed)
I just thought it would be some interesting things to role play her in terrible pain but also not able to die or she can recover from it, except it still hurts like hell.

I'm not sure yet, but thought it would be interesting.
Also, I am super keen for a Cassidy vs Vex fight one day, that would be so awesome.

Also a fight between Cas and Vex would be sooo cool! They can both handle a LOT of pain and stuff so it would be an interesting fight indeed.

Fable - I could see her as a daughter of Apollo but also a loyal Huntress of Artemis!

Thorn - Might be a bit out there but this lil boy could be a son of Pan, if not that then a child of Hephaestus.

Vex - This one is tricky but I could see her being a daughter of Nemesis.

Bloom - Oddly enough I kinda get daughter of Hecate vibes for her.

Shayla - Daughter of Hades or Thanatos because of her constant walk with death and inability to allow herself to make connections with the living.

Charlie: Hmm, maybe the daughter of Panacea, or if we want to go further up, the daughter of Apollo.

Aubrey: I'm thinking she's the daughter of Hera, or Ares.

Christian: I could see him being Poseidons son actually, or even Zeus's.

Griffon: maybe Griffon would be the son of Helios.

Cassidy: I'm totally getting daughter of Persephone vibes from her, or else funny enough I could see her being a daughter of Hades.

hello! i'm spyder. i believe most everyone saw chet's cs, but if anyone needs or wants for plotting sake i can quote it here c: i'm open for all sorts of plots with him! also, could i get a general idea of where the characters are at in their training and then a brief overview of what's currently going on? i might not be able to jump into rping until monday, but i'm hoping to have time to post tomorrow!

also, i saw the question and couldn't resist. ik he's a male, but i feel like he'd fit in well with artemis's hunters. otherwise i'd maybe say a child of apollo c:

spyder Of course you can! You actually picked a really good time to join the RP because we're just about to timeskip to a new day. Anyway, we're currently at Phast Two of initiation, in which the initiates are forced to confront one of their biggest fears in the fear sim and the only way to resolve the simulation is when their heartrate slows down and they presumably conquer the fear. However, as for the next day that we're just about to start, training has been canceled in honor of a faction-wide celebration for one of the Dauntless leaders and minor characters, Jeremy. Everyone has been invited to the party but attendance isn't mandatory, which in OOC terms means that you have a lot of free time to do whatever plots you'd like! Whenever the initiates are not in training I refer to it as free time, and free time is very open-ended; pretty much anything goes! Since we've already completed Phase One of training and done several fear sims, I'll let you decide however well Chet performed during both of those. Do you have any further questions? Please don't be afraid to ask if you do!

Aviator oh perfect! this works out really nicely then. i do have kind of a quick question, I noticed in other forms some battle stats. is that something I should figure for chet? or is that less relevant now that they’re over phase one?

and, @ everyone, would any one like to lay out some quick relationships? since we’re a bit into initiation(and the numbers would presumably be whittled down, making it hard to hide behind a crowd) i feel like it’d make sense for him to have a few at least basic friendship or an idea of who he does or doesn’t like c:

spyder I would love to plot with your babe! I think he and Thorn would probably be really good friends since they are pretty similar! Also maybe he and Fable could be friends as well, bonding over both transferring to the faction? That friendship could evolve into more of you are interested but no pressure! And I also thought maybe we could plot that he and Bloom might know each other since he is from Amity right?

spyder Good observation! The battle stats are less relevant now, but that doesn't mean they won't be useful in the future. How they work is, each initiate is given a set number of points and there's three different categories to distribute those points among: guns, knives, and hand-to-hand combat, which are the three major types of fighting in Dauntless initiation. Upon the completion of each phase, initiates are given a stat boost, which they can use to either enhance their existing proficiencies or develop a fourth one. The number of points for transfer initiates right now is between 15 and 18, and a random number is generated from between there. Chet is going to get 17 points for his battle stats, so if you want to create some for him, feel free! It's not necessary at this point in the RP because initiates aren't physically fighting each other in training a whole lot anymore, but if your character fights another character outside of training, the battle stats are helpful to determine the outcome of the fight.

I'd love to plot a relationship with Chet! While I could be wrong, Chet seems to have a lot of boundaries and values rule-following to a great extent, and Ghost is the complete opposite in this regard. He has an offbeat sense of humor and won't hesitate to point out something that doesn't make logical sense. Like, he's prone to poking fun at others' inconsistencies and calling it as he sees it, regardless of whether it's the proper thing to do in a social situation. They're usually harmlessly curious observations but have (much) potential to be taken the wrong way. Since Chet seems to struggle with confidence and has his fair share of insecurities, some of Ghost's comments might rub him the wrong way, but at the same time, maybe he helps Chet to break out of his shell a little? To say the least, extended interaction with Ghost would probably help to nurture Chet's rebellious streak.

spyder hmmm, I think Blair and Chet might have rolled in a different crowd, though Blair would likely still be amicable towards him. Lainey may have made more of a connection with him given they’re both transfer initiates, however they’re quite the pair of opposites. I’d love to PM to discuss a more thorough relationship!

So I'm thinking that Griffon and Chet would have hit it off well early in initiation. I think they have similar qualities, except Griffon is more abnegation and Chet is Amity. But I'm keen for them to have an existing friendship.
Therefore Cassidy would also be very amicable towards Chet but she has issues with truly opening up so they probably wouldn't be close. That could change or remain the same I don't mind.

I think Charlie and Chet would get along wonderfully! I'm happy to plot with anything but I think their similar Amity qualities would work well together.

As for Aubrey, I actually think Aubrey would have said things that made Chet do his whole Forgive, but not forget, and therefore resented Aubrey. But maybe as time goes on, they can get closer as friends? IDK I just sort of love the idea of them having to start a new.

And Christian would be very apathetic towards Chet. They likely wouldn't have interacted unless Chet or someone else initiated it. Chris sort of just goes with the flow TBH.

Sanctuaryforall1 i totally agree! i think chet and thorn would make really sweet friends and i can totally see thorn being his closest friend thus far. i'm imagining they hit off early in initiation and have been buddies since? i could see thorn as the person chet is most vulnerable with at first, and would probably more inclined to speak with thorn about the negative emotions he's typically avoidant of. i also see a lot of platonic hand holding between the two? (i also came up with an idea of a trio between thorn, chet, and griff. i'm a bit unsure about what inter-character relationships might already be in place, but feel free to add on or oppose between you and nerdy!)
i'm thinking that chet and fable are perhaps newer friends. they were probably friendly towards each other in the beginning of initiation, but as two out of the three transfer initiates from "weak" factions now that the numbers have whittled down they've become closer? he probably asks her a lot about her synesthesia, shares book recommendations with her, and when she lets him he probably sits and braids/brushes her hair while they talk(i'm imagining he learned from doing his sisters' hair and it's a way that he shows his affection for some people?). and their friendship could definitely blossom into something more down the line! it sounds like chester is gonna be a bit popular with the ladies haha, i'm not sure how he's gonna handle all the attention
also, yes! i saw bloom's form and i immediately thought that they should have some backstory between them. i have two ideas circulating in my peanut brain rn. i'm thinking that perhaps the two of them were raised in the same community, and were possibly childhood friends(maybe seeing how she was orphaned but still cared for by their small community gave him the courage to leave for dauntless and know his younger siblings would be taken care of? or maybe his adoptive parents also took her in, despite the circulating rumors of her and her brother being murderers). maybe he had a small crush on her growing up? or he could have a more sisterly view of her. definitely prefers her over the other instructors. long talks about what she's missed since she's transferred. OR, i can adjust his cs to have another older brother who was perhaps the amity boy bloom had formerly dated and killed? add a bit more drama and tension into the mix. would add a lot of internal turmoil to both of their characters, i feel like. maybe at some point they confront each other about it?

also, i really love the idea of ghost bringing out the rebellious streak in chet. ghost pointing out inconsistencies in chester's character would definitely make him nervous, and perhaps get him to build to the point of snapping and finally letting out the type of stuff he usually lets fester? i think he could end up with very conflicting and confusing views of ghost, like on the one hand he'd probably follow orders and instructions from ghost very instinctively, but on the other ghost is the defiant type and would probably poke at chet's insecurities, making him resistant to following him. i could also see ghost being someone who both eases and triggers his anxiety which could be a very odd but fun dynamic!

WanderLust. while lainey and chet are opposites, i could definitely see them being close friends! perhaps he helps mediate conflicts that arise due to her temper and on the flip side she could also be someone who brings him out of his shell and encourages him to speak his mind instead of being so reserved. you also perhaps mentioned a potential for romance on the apps thread, which sounds really fun! if you want to establish that or make a roadmap for how that could develop either here or on pm feel free to reach out!

Nerdy. i totally agree! i think griff and chet would make very sweet friends! idk if you and sanctuary have any relationship plotted between him and thorn, but i could see the three of them being a close-knit friend group(feel free to add on or oppose to this!)? i also love that they share a hobby of reading and writing, i feel like chet would totally feel comfortable enough to allow griffon to read his poetry and share his ideas on books together and whatnot. i feel like chet could be very fun and carefree around griff. even if he and cassie aren't very close, despite his quiet nature i think he would definitely make an effort with her and also be amicable towards her(albeit he might be a bit awkward) bc of his friendship with her brother, but it could also be kind of fun to have them stop getting along at some point? i'm not sure what would happen, but it could be some fun, casual drama for the three of them. just some food for thought!
i think chet and charlie would make a wonderful duo. i could see him coming to her for advice and seeing her as a sisterly figure! maybe he had a weird go around in phase one and spent a bit of time in the infirmary, especially to just sit and ice his shoulder and they've since become casual friends. he would totally gravitate towards her in more casual, social settings, but also try to maintain a professional relationship when she's helping out in the training room and such.
i love the idea of him and aubrey having to start anew! especially if romantic feelings were ever to become involved, like you mentioned on the apps page. maybe they get put into a situation where they need to work together for one reason or another, where chet has to get over his negative feelings for her and they learn to get along. i also think at the very least a future friendship between them could be very good for him as she'd definitely be the type to break him out of his shell and kind of help him assimilate into dauntless.

I LOVE the idea of Thorn, Chet and Griffon being a close knit friend group! It could also be interesting if they share love interests OR be each others sweet and adorable wingmen.

Secondly I also love all the ideas you put out about all our characters interactions! I'll maybe DM you about some stuff, maybe the three of us could have a DM to plot how Thorn, Griff and Chet became friends etc.
