I had a party and then also my mum was rushed to hospital (she's 63, expected Appendicitis and a lot of other concerning problems)

Oh no! I hope she is okay and recovers swiftly! Is there anything we can do?

It should be fine, she's getting surgery. It's just come at an awkward time as she was meant to drive with my brother tomorrow to help him move, but now my dad has to go and my mother in law will have to look after my mum. And I can't help because I'm heading off tomorrow too

All that to say, I'm alright. I'll be replying tonight
