Nothing tragic or unbearable has ever happened to Korin, unless you count her Uncle Marty passing away when she


was 9. The only thing abnormal about her is her rebellious nature, but even her rebellion wasn't as bad as it seemed.


Her rebellion was used more to spite her parents; dying her hair and getting piercings. In high school she would skip


class to spend more time in the art department or to sneak off to the local Art Museum. Art has always been the center


of her life, it was and is, an outlet for when she can't express her emotions. Although, her parents don't support her


dream to move to California and attend one of the most prestigious art institutes. They think that is a waste of time and


money. A dead end degree. She's had it with their condescending attitute and is in need of a get away.

With his passive glances and smooth-talking, Kai gives the impression of being very nonchalant and easygoing. For the most part, this is true. However, he's very sensitive about certain subjects, including his past. Instead of dealing with his emotions as they come, he fleshes out their effect over long periods of time, choosing to excise his revenge slowly and tactfully. He's also known to personally avenge any wrongdoings he feels have been done to him or those close to him. He's a firm believer in karma; even if he can't have the last word with some opponent someone or something else will. He doesn't necessarily have to personally execute his vengeance to feel as though something has been justly done.


Kai sees the world very plainly and fitting into two categories: Allies and Opponents. He takes special note of everything a person does before officially labeling them as either one (which he usually says out loud and thus confuses the one being labelled). He's also observant when it comes to his surroundings. He can smell trouble from a mile away. The fact that he doesn't usually deal with it suggests he takes what's coming to him. In his eyes, it's a weakness to run away. He treats anyone coldly who does. He treats others coldly, too, in relativity - while the frequent use of petnames loosens the effect he does seem to have a distant presence with people. The only ones he's really open with are his best friends, and even then - as mentioned before - he's eager to avoid certain topics.

Kai was brought up in a regular house with a regular family and a regular income. He, as so many kids do, experienced quite the rebellious streak, often pushing the limits, but this came to an end a fairly short time after it started. His father was a recovering alcoholic; he had been sober for five years before Kai's birth and remained that way for seventeen years after. Kai had never before been subjected to a drunken rage, much less his father's. He wasn't exactly sure what was happening, but his father ended up lashing out at him. That day, he walked out of the house and has never returned. Since then, he's lived to his heart's content, not letting anyone stop him.

Calli is self centered, and has come to accept and freely admit that. She doesn't mind what others


have to say because she feels it doesn't matter, she has friends

up in the county jail. Her untrustworthy nature has also lost the trust of some of those around her.

Calli was born to a criminal mother and an uncaring father. She was brought up by her father while her


mother did her time in prison. She loved her father and as did he, though in his own nature


he didn't watch over her as he should have, and at some points he's brought that up. Though her life is


far from unexciting, in her early teen years she found herself spending a lot of time outside, and


with other people, while her father got into drugs. Though she didn't mind the occasional bag of Mary-Jane herself. As


her fathers intense drug usage increased, she began hanging around the wrong crowd. Though she straightened up


in high school a long strand of bad decisions follow her. Calli is all about throwing parties and living up to


what she thinks should be the 'good life.'

Alex is a very likable young man, if you can get past those times that he can get on your nerves. He has a strong passion for skateboarding, a hobby that has shaped him quite significantly, and revealed a spectrum of traits that make him himself. Humorous and animated, it's very difficult to feel depressed while around him, since he can easily bring out smiles in people - but it's also difficult to escape his attention if you do feel depressed. He is very sharp-sensed emotionally, and can spot a gloomy mood from a mile away. He cares for his friends, often acting like an older brother when it comes to defending and helping friends out of drama, fights, or bad moods. The relationship that his friends have with him is very special. He is a risk-taker, and loves the high that thrill can bring. However, being adventurous comes with it's downfalls. He's sometimes dangerously rash with his decisions, which often involve injury from small to big degrees. He tends to grow restless quickly, and unless he has something to occupy him, can't sit still for very long. History:


Alex lived in a household where patience was always thin between his mother and father. Both provided a modest home and typical middle-class lifestyle for Alex in his earlier years, but eventually, the tension between his parents came to a breaking point. The divorce happened when Alex was around seven years old. His mother, unwilling to support Alex, pushed him off with his father, which began to lead to difficult experiences throughout the remainder of his childhood and his teenage years. His father was all about raising Alex to be masculine and work hard, but it was apparent that he had inherited more of his mothers' traits than his fathers'. He was a very sweet boy while he was younger, and no matter what his dad tried to do to change that into something colder like himself, Alex wouldn't change. The pressure increased as he grew older, and the hormones of being a teenager turned him rebellious for a period of his life. He refused to do anything that his father tried to get him to enjoy, and rather searched out for something that he approved of, and that he wanted to enjoy. And, eventually, he found his still-strong passion for the skateboard. He loved to ride, and with the help and encouragement of his friends, taught himself how to skateboard. He's become quite talented with it over the years. But anyways, this certainly did strike a bad note with his father, and they never had a good relationship. So now, after years of tension and bickering, Alex decided to jump the gun and get the hell out of there. He left his dad's house with his bags packed after one of the biggest arguments they had ever had, and hasn't returned since. He settled with one of his friends for a while, working various jobs to accumulate money for both himself and for paying halfsies on his friends' apartment, until he was invited on this life-changing trip. He had never heard of a better idea.

Brandon is typically really easy to be around when you first meet him. He comes off a funny, sweet, and extremely creative. When you're him often, it's start to become apparent that there's way more to him than before. There's a part of him that tends to tune others out if they seem to be irrelevant to whatever he's doing. He's irritable when people bother him when he's working and doesn't stop what he's doing until it's perfect. Brandon loves to show off whatever he finishes and he loves it when everyone notices it. The one thing that drives Brandon crazy the most is when people give him a taste of his own medicine.

Seven years ago, Brandon's parents divorced after his dad discovered that his mother was having an affair. When their family split up, Brandon's mother didn't even bother to protest his father who was asking for full custody over Brandon. As a direct result of the divorce, Brandon spent a lot of his time locked up in his room, showing most signs of depression. About two years later, Brandon's dad bought him a camera for his 13th birthday. Brandon almost instantly took an interest in the camera and when he finally ran out of things to take pictures of in his room, he started getting out more. Photography and film became his niche and his way to express himself. He began to enter contests once people started taking notice of his works and he won them quite frequently. Everything seemed to be going pretty nice for Brandon and his father for the most part. But when Brandon's dad started dating again, a part of Brandon didn't want a new person in the house. He had a hidden fear that his father would be too invested in his relationship to pay any attention to Brandon. He constantly feared that his father would just stop caring like his mother had done. A few months before Brandon graduated high school, his father remarried. After graduation, Brandon left, trying his hardest not to look back.

It doesn't take long to get used to the attitude he has, seeing as it's very positive, an most people find it quite charming and childish.


Hunter has a different understanding of things than most, so he feels and connects on a very different level with people. It's comforting and it's sweet, and he likes that it makes people feel better about themselves.


Hunter knows that everyone has an opinion, and they all vary from one another. He just thinks opinions that aren't his are wrong, and he'll let you know. There's no stopping the endless fights and comebacks that come from him, so it's best to put the difference aside if you can. There's no stopping the train once it chugs off.


History:


Hunter grew up with his older sister, Sabrina, after their mother was sent to jail after abusing the kids. It wasn't deadly, but it was a punch to the gut for Hunter and a slap in the face for Sabrina. Their father was somewhere unknown, so there was no use calling him, and the rest of the family were good for nothing drunks. Sabrina was old enough to move out, so she got a job and took Hunter with her. They lived in a small apartment for a while, but Sabrina had three jobs that could barely pay off all of the utilities and conditions. Slowly, she got on her feet and continued to take care of Hunter, sending him to school everyday and paying child support. This is how they lived, until Sabrina was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.


She still struggles, and is in the hospital while Hunter works as a waiter at a local diner. Money from their father helps fund treatments and the apartment, but it comes from different places every month so it's hard to pin point where he's staying.
