"Alright, there's a trial period that lasts about two weeks, you are given the missions that are closer to home and a partner on the harder ones until you prove exactly what your limits are. Sound fair?"

Yuri nodded slowly. "Believe me. I don't need a partner, but I agree to your terms."

Victor had closed his eyes while Yui and Yuri had their conversation but when Yui said the words 'partner', he opened his eyes wide. When he first up with these guys, Apollo had been his partner. He had nearly died trying Apollo's life practically every mission. He stood up and pointed to Yuri. "No! No! I don't do partners! Let Apollo take the newbie! He walked away with his hands in the air before anyone could say anything.

 

[Robin man]

Yuri looked over the man that denied having Yuri as a partner. He slowly looked back at Yui. "Or I don't have a partner. I'm perfectly fine by myself."

Yui gave a sigh and ran a hand through her tousled raven-colored hair. She chewed her lip slightly as she went over to her desk and pulled her keyboard in front of her. She opened a blank document. "Alright then.... Name?"

 

[Robin man]

Yuri followed her. H leaned against the back wall. "Yuri." He said simply.

She typed it in quickly, fingers dancing over the keys delicately. "Last name?"

 

[Robin man]

Yuri shook his head. "Don't have one."

She looked to him. "Alright then. Age?" She asked, skipping to a new line and labeling it.

 

[Robin man]

"27 years old. I was born in a unknown hut in Russia, moved to America just three years ago. Have control over fire and this chain I have in my bag. What else do you want to know?" Yuri asked as he looked around the room.

She typed everything up and smiled softly. "Not at the moment."

 

[Robin man]

Yuri nodded with a soft smile. "Okay, good."

 

[No More Pretending]

She printed the sheet and placed it in a dossier. "May I take a look at your weapon briefly?" She asked, pointing to the chain.

 

[Robin man]

Yuri nodded. "Yeah." She unzipped his bag and pulled out a twenty foot chain, it was pure black. He looked at her. "I would show it off, but we don't have the room in here to do it."

The girl nodded. "I'd just like to examine it, if I may." She looked around at Shiro and Victor. "I'd take you into an empty area for you to do that, but we are in a situation that doesn't allow for my absence from this building- for safety reasons..."

 

[Robin man]

Yuri nodded as he wrapped a little bit of the chain around his right hand. "Alright, lead the way ma'am."

 

[No More Pretending]

The woman gave a quiet sigh as she stood up. "Hey, Shiro!" She called. "There's still an extinguisher in the training room in the base level, right?" She asked.

 

[Robin man]

Yuri chuckled softly. "Madam, I can extinguish fire just as efficiently as starting it."

 

[No More Pretending]

Yui nodded. "Alright then. Let's head down then." The woman led him to the training room. "Just be careful with the equipment. We're on a budget."

 

[Robin man]

Yuri followed to the training room. He chuckled softly as he went into his bag. "There no guarantees my lady." He said as he pulled out a ten foot chain. It was made of Ebony, it looked like it has a flame design on it. He looked at her. "Is there something in particular you want me to do?"

She shrugged. "Just show me what you've got," the woman replied. She took a seat against a wall and watched his movements.

 

[Robin man]

Yuri nodded slowly. He flicked his wrist and the whole chain ignited. He relaxed and he started twirl his chain around. Making a fire tornado, with Yuri at the center of it. He then licked his chain like a whip, the flames followed it. Then the flames extinguished, steam was rolling off the chain. He looked back at her. "I would do more, but there's nothing to kill."

She nodded. "Impressive."

 

[Robin man]

Yuri nodded with a soft smile. "Thank you."

Victor eventually comes downstairs to the training room. "How'd he do?" He leaned against the wall next to Yui. He eyed the man again and saw his chain. Soul yet again began to shake. The light began to increase and Victor stared confusingly at it. He knew that this could mean one thing but it seemed impossible. He looked up to Yuri and sighed. "Mind sharing some of your past? Anything important anyways."
