Detailed, Long-term 1x1 partner needed!

Hello there, fellow RPers!

I am currently on the pursuit for new RP partners as the new semester dawns upon me. (Blech.) Although it reflects on my profile that I’d newly joined
[uPDATE: Newly RE-joined.] RPNation, it is simply a ruse, (Wow, I love hyping things up.) as I’ve been on RPNation before under different profile names. (I needed to turn a new leaf.) I’ve been RPing for around 5-6 years now and consider myself as intermediate (baby-advanced?) RPer. Upon my return to RPNation I decided to start out small in less demanding RPs but now I am in dire need of a challenge to get my creative juices churning once more. So, here I am searching for a partner with a challenge!

Guidelines:

1. First and foremost, I’d love someone with an open, creative mind. Being sort of a stickler to system, I’d really like to have a plot well-discussed first before jumping into the RP. I really don’t feel comfortable groping in the dark. (>
:D ) So I’d need someone who can help me with ideas, pitch in some plot points and help build a sturdier, more creative story. I don’t want discussions to be one-sided for either of us so a balance of open-mindedness and creativity will be great. And considering how rusty I've become and how my premed program seems to want to suck all the vitality and creativity in me, I really need someone to walk me through Crea

2. I’m into historical RPs, slice of life if they’re well-executed and unique, with well-developed character (No whiny high school characters, please.), fantasy but my skills here are quite quite quite rusty and being a girl, of course, I like to dabble in some romance in everything.

3. I need a partner who can challenge (maybe even force) me into improving my writing skills and details. I always say quality over quantity but they sometimes also come one after the other if not side by side. Right now, I can say I can do 500-word, 5-paragraph replies without too much strain but I guess there always can be something better than that. Also, I’d want someone keen on details! So, if you really are, I'm sure you can very easily prove you are by indulging me in my little detail-tester: please include the either of the three words: tantalize(d), skeletal or elephantine in one of the sentences in your reply.

4. As for character preferences, it tends to get really boring when it’s just the two main characters all the time. So, I’d need a partner who can do multiple characters. My primary character is usually
female but as for secondary characters, I can play either. My male-playing skills are not to be taken pride in.

5. The usual pet peeves/rules/guidelines apply. No god-modding, no sudden disappearances, etc. I’m a 2nd year premed student and I guess I know what it is to be busy IRL, but I guess one post per day would not be too demanding.

6. Have fun and just communicate if it starts to bore you. Otherwise, it would be quite a counterproductive RP.

Now, for the plots I have up my sleeve.

xD ))] This story is based on a novel called “Picture Perfect” by Jodi Picoult in case anyone has heard of it. It’s about two people, an actor and a scientist who met on set and fell in love. Both of them are starting to make big names for themselves in their respective career paths aand happily got married to each other. It’s a perfect life until the girl finds out that her husband has this problem with getting out of character when he gets off set. Every time he comes home from a shoot, he is an entirely different person. We can start this RP up right from the beginning or we can do it media res and do flashbacks as needed.

In one kingdom, there is an Empty Throne. For ages, none has ever been brave enough to stand up and claim to be heir as the whole royal family was massacred and none is brave enough to follow their fate. But is it because of fear or because no one knows that there still lives an heir? Today, a council of Lords rules over the land, awaiting an heir. One of the Lords in the council is happily married with a wife and two young children. But what is unbeknownst to most is that he indulges in visiting a tavern where he is a regular to a certain lady there. Havoc ensues when the girl comes to one of the balls, uninvited, dressed as nobility. There it is revealed that no one, not even the girl herself knew that she was the rightful heir and a plot to kill her was happening right at that very moment. (Okay, this one is cloudy but I’d done this RP over Omegle before (it was a rare moment of wonderful RPing.)

This was supposedly one of the RPs I’d made for group RPing but then I guess it didn’t work out quite well. Also, this one is based on a story I’m writing and again, being a stickler to system, I realized it was not a good idea for me to have made something based on a story I’d already partially established. If I did continue this on group RP a lot of RPers would not been seen to complete fulfillment as I had strong plots for only a small group of main characters. So, this one would require multiple characters from the both of us.

For centuries now, witches have remained within society—or rather, beneath it, in order to keep balance between the world of human and the one which laid beyond it. Governed by a body called “The Circle” four main covens are above the rest: The Children of Lilith, The Followers of Morgan le Fay, The Sons of Rasputin and the Daughters of Circe. Each century, one coven is in charge of taking care of Pandora’s box, used to hold all imprisoned chaos at bay. As it was in the hands of the Children of Lilith, the shadiest coven, trouble boils as it is found to be missing.

When a pathological liar says she’s lying, do you believe her or not? This is a still-hazy idea to do a romance/thriller or something about a doctor who’s trying to crack the code to understanding a detainee who is a pathological liar and may be even more. (I’ll need a lot of help plotting this one.)

Others: (These have no plots yet but you can shoot me an idea if you’d like!)

You sound a little prissy, but I'll take a gander anyhow ;)

I'd like to do something historical with you, but perhaps AU-ish, so a brief brush up on wiki is sufficient study? Do you have a favorite time period?

Hey there (:

Still searching? I'm quite taken with 'Witching hours', it sounds enchanting! I'm fully capable of creating multiple, diverse characters as well, and being that it's taking place in a world of magic, I'll have no problem with development. Length, creativity and commitment isn't an issue for me, either.

Do let me know if you're up for writing with me!

You literally sound/write like my roleplaying soul mate haha is that weird? So is the color yellow but I still enjoy it.

Anyways, straying away from the creepiness, I'm actually excited for more than half of these plots so if you're interested let me know and we can start brainstorming?

Hello, merciful humans who have responded to me! Let me get about to replying. xD

@Xander Hello there! Oh, I'd love to do that and thank God that even just Wikipedia-wise you reminded me to do some research. And well, my preferred time periods would be the Victorian Era and the Roaring 20s. PM me! :)

@Raerae Hallo! I'd love to RP with you. But you seem to have overlooked one of my guidelines. Check it out to make the change and then hit me up on PM, please. :)

@RedLipstick34 Hi there! Not creepy at all! xD What plot did you want to do? PM me. :)

Well not sure it you're currently taken or not, but I am interested in the fantasy rp. The setup is easy enough and going on your choices and preferances, I think I can make a wonderful rp. But that's only if you're not taken. So let me know if you have a spot open.

My apologies.

It feels as though my pride has been pricked by a cactus. D:

Anywho, I am one to pay attention to detail, yet apparently I'm equally as capable of over looking importance.

I'll PM you shortly, if you're still up for collaborating, that is.

@Sangra Well I'm quite interested! But you seem to be missing one of the guidelines. Go ahead and check. :)

TEMPORARILY CLOSING THIS THREAD.

@Alexandra Lacroix

Hi! I'm so sorry but I just temporarily closed the thread because I'm not sure if I've bitten off more than I can chew at the moment. I'll try to PM you soon if I can fit it in.

Is there a reason I have been tagged here?

Either way, dice RPGs are my poison, and I would need very good reason to 1x1.....

Hi, is this still open or needed? If so i would love to PM you if the thread is still open to collaborations? I'm sorry if i'm being...prissy

@DulcetFlux

Hello there! I was wondering if you would be interested in a few modern plots I have in mind? They fall under slice of life but I didn't see anything on your post about whether or not you wanted to stick to your ideas or if you were open to other ones. I an interested in your Witch's Coven plot as well, though I do have a few questions about it.

The one thing in your post that I do want to ask about is the post length and detail. I don't like skeletal posts that give me nothing to respond to, but I also don't like to force out posts that turn out awkward because I was trying to hit a word count. This usually only happens in dialogue driven scenes, where characters are having a conversation. I can pull around two paragraphs in those situations, but I struggle to make them my usual length. If that's not something you think you'd want to deal with, that's fine! I get that I'm not everyone's style.

I'm very much open to other plots. Hit me up on PM and we can talk about things. :) Also, as for length, I don't have a very rigid requirement as I often value flow of ideas and detail over dragged out superfluousness.

@DulcetFlux

I was wondering, if you'd be interested in doing a historical RP. Namely centered around the 20s, the Cold War - and the shadowy, covert-war being inflicted behind the curtains.

I got already a few plots in mind.

@NecroKnight First, I am terribly, terribly sorry for the very delayed reply. I had an unexpectedly packed week last week with exams, a few bad fights and surprisingly some "legal" issues but I've cleared those out. I really truly do hope you're still interested.

Second, I noticed something missing in your reply, check out my guidelines and incorporate it in your PM. Just standard stuff. xD

And lastly, as I'd implied in my previous statement, PM me! I really really love historical RPs and I'd loved to be challenged into researching more. So, please do PM me.

This thread is absolutely, and fantastically done so, tantalizing. I'm completely captivated with your lovely plot "When the Lights go Down in Hollywood"! You are just the partner I've been wanting, needing. Assuming you would be interested, is there any information you would like to know before discussing the RP? Would you like a writing sample? Or anything of the sorts? c: I'd be happy to provide whatever you ask before getting down with this roleplay!

See what I did there? Down? Like in the title of the plot? ... No? Tough crowd. x3
