  Three families who have always been close have flown to a tropical island dreamscape for a wedding.
  
  The Ryders, wealthy overachievers who have proven that hard work and dedication can make you truly prosperous in life. The Willoughbys who seem to be well put together, highly skilled and well educated people, but actually possess dark familial secrets. Lastly, the Channings, who are laid back, free spirited artist types who happened to make it in with the big names in the art industry.
  
  On the outside looking in, the three families seem to be living the suburban dream, all living close to each other in their fancy Cul-De-Sac and their kids having always been the closest of friends. Many have envied their seeming extended families and sense of community they possessed among each other, and when two of the kids finally got married, it was a step in the direction of uniting all of the families forever. To celebrate, the parents of the soon to be husband and wife are taking everyone to Hawaii for the wedding and have invited their other neighbors along as well.
  
  After years of close friendship, however, things start to become tense on the very day that everyone is supposed to fly out, and it begins to become clear over the next several weeks how much is being hidden, how much has changed, and who truly has feelings for who. Everyone keeps trying to put on a brave face, but unfortunately, a wedding is a very emotional time, and it can either bring out the best or the worst in everyone.

  The only gender locked roles are the ones I have used gender specific pronouns on, the others are totally up to the player. I have also given some basic history between some of the characters in their role descriptions as guidelines to help create drama, but these guidelines and ideas are open to change as soon as there is enough interest and a Discord is created where they can be openly discussed. All of the characters have grown up around each other and know each other well, I've just given a few of them specific relationships.
  
  The roleplay Will Not be first come first serve, but I sometimes do accept a CS on the spot, so as long as you've given me the information I've asked for and taken some fun creative liberties I'll probably accept you immediately.
  
  You are welcome to apply for 2 characters total.
  
  The parents of these kids can be played by all of the players as they're not roles that I actually created, and they will be given names and basic profiles when the CS go up.
  
  Ryder family
  
  The Ryder family is the most affluent of the families. Even though it is not by much, it stands out in a few aspects of their lifestyle. The children are accustomed to lavish vacations and only the best and the most top-of-the-line equipment. They never had much contact with their extended family, and their neighbors became like the family they never had.
  
  Oldest child (taken by apolla ): The eldest child of the Ryder family is an overachiever and a perfectionist. She has worked hard on her dreams and the last thing she needs to come true is her marriage to the eldest son of the Willoughby family, and now that the day is finally close, she has become even more demanding and impossible to please. She is best friends with the oldest Channing child, and has appointed her the maid of honor on her special day.
  Middle Child (taken by Nightblade ): Ryder number two is moody and has a terrible attitude. Much to their very normal appearing family's dismay they possess an alternative appearance and many curious interests and qualities. They have always been against the grain, and out of everyone in the three families, they are looking forward to this "trip of a lifetime" the least. They are best friends with The Middle Channing child, and are excited to see their friend after so much time apart. However, they could not anticipate how much their friend has changed.
  Youngest Child (17): The youngest Ryder has always been a livewire. From the moment they exited the womb up until now they've been nothing but trouble. For their older siblings it has been constant torment, and it wasn't much different for the kids from the neighbor families. They aren't unlikable by any means, in fact, everyone seems to love this Ryder, but they are still full of trouble and mischief and have a tendency to make things.... exciting, to say the least. Best friends with the Youngest Channing Child, and having always thought of the youngest Willoughby boy as their inspiration in mischief, they are excited to see what chaos can be managed on this trip.
  
  Willoughby family
  
  The Willoughby family have a tendency to be very secretive. Even with their closest friends and neighbors, the Ryders and the Channings, they are more secluded and closed off. To this day, no one knows of the issues and scandals their youngest son has caused them, and that they're slowly but surely going broke trying to keep him afloat.
  
  Oldest child (male, between 23 and 26): This well put together and intelligent young man has centered his life around his education and pleasing his family. As the eldest of two boys he has always felt the need to set an example for his youngest brother and for their "adopted siblings" that they grew up around. Now he is achieving a lifelong dream of marrying the only girl he has ever loved, the oldest Ryder child. But he is secretly having doubts, even if he is so in denial about them that he has not been honest with even himself.
  Youngest child (male, between 18 and 21): Taken by horrorshow Always feeling as though he lived in the shadow of his older brother, this Willoughby has been... difficult, to say the least. On the outside he appears normal and put together, but his family and their close friends know he has struggled with multiple addictions and personality problems. No one else seems to see why he cannot just "get it together" but the reality is that he is bitter and angry that everyone around him seems to achieve so much without even trying and all of his own efforts have been met with failure. Still living at home, he has no idea what to do with his life or what he even wants. Begrudgingly, he agreed to be his brother's best man and attend the dream wedding... The youngest kids of the other two families have always looked up to this Willoughby brother, for better or for worse, and during this trip he has vowed to try to pull back from them so as not to be a "bad influence", as his parents have put it.
  
  Channing Family
  
  The Channing's made it big on sheer luck. The parents were artists who attended college and made all of the right connections at the right times, and are now mini-celebrities for working on big name movies and other media across the board. Their children are accustomed to their almost-celebrity parents, but are themselves not particularly well known, at least not yet.
  
  Oldest (female, between 23 and 25): Free spirited and artistic, this Channing child has always gone after whatever struck her fancy. Whether it was chaotic relationships, halfway achieved dreams, ridiculous whims chased after, and when she has failed, she has returned home each time. She never spent long licking her wounds before trying again for something new, but even though her peers have envied her lifetime of adventure, there is no doubt that among all of the kids, this one is the least responsible with time, money, and general decision making. Also, this child is in love with the bride to be, but has never spoken up about it because they have always been the best of friends. This trip is bringing out the worst of her emotional instability as she continues to try to keep her secret.
  Middle (between 19 and 22): This Channing child has just returned from their first year studying abroad! They have been living a fun and different lifestyle in another country and have had many new, life changing experiences. They used to be a more reserved, quiet person with a flair for the alternative, but now they have truly come out of their shell and are a brand new person with a tendency to be a social butterfly. They have always been best friends with the Middle Ryder Child, but now that they have changed so much, they are finding during this destination wedding trip they may not have as much in common as they once did, as their best friend is still clinging to their reclusive lifestyle and rather odd interests.
  Youngest (taken by Webs Elk ): Shy but precocious, this Channing child never fails to impress. They are skilled in many areas and have many amazing talents, and surely their future is bright...They have some great plans, and a lot of ambition. They are best friends with the youngest Ryder child, however, and their tendency to make trouble together, and the fact they admire the youngest Willoughby boy a little too much, could prove to be something that comes between them and their ultimate success.

  Adhere to all RPN rules.
  Mature content (within compliance with RPN's guidelines) is allowed.
  Literacy is a requirement. Detailed character sheets, posts of relative length, and ability to keep up with and help move the story forward, will all be requirements.
  Discord will be a necessary platform of communication for OOC talk and plotting.
  One Post Per Week is absolutely fine, a little more or less will also be fine. Over a week without posting or communicating to me will result in the game moving on without you. Please feel free to let me know if you're experiencing writers block, or are no longer interested.
  Drama will be the center of this roleplay between characters, and everyone is encouraged to take my loose guidelines and go crazy with them. However, drama between players won't be tolerated.

  If my vague descriptions weren't straightforward enough: Three families who have been close for at least the last twenty years are flying to Hawaii for several weeks leading up to a wedding for two of the oldest kids. It was supposed to be the vacation of a lifetime and a dream wedding, but they're likely not going to make it to the wedding in one piece when secrets start coming out and drama starts going down.
  
  I also didn't put any effort into this thread, either, in terms of pretty appearances because look I don't care I just want to write ok.

Two people applied for the youngest Ryder, and I liked both applications- unfortunately I'll only end up accepting one of them, but as a heads up to those who applied for the position, if you wanna switch to one of the other open positions instead I will absolutely let you, if not I'll make a decision later on.
