Hey, so we aren't rerolling 6s. You still pass, but I wanted to clarify that 6s are just irrevocable successes, they can't be cancelled out by 1s, but they only count as 1 success. The manhole cover slides back, revealing ladder runs built into the side of the passage, running down a dozen or so feet and opening into a partially lit passageway.
Oh woops, how'd I miss that?? Editing post.

CHARACTER ROLL AGAINST DIFFICULTY 3!

This means I'll need all even numbers to successfully wedge the tool into the door. I'm being harder on myself because I'm the DM, but also because it will be hilarious if Hastielle's attempt to show off backfires. Alright, here we go ...

In my next post, he's going to sweep for hidden sensors, so here's the roll for that.

Ooh, you find a trip-laser that looks haphazardly made. Definitely not part of the facility, probably put there by the insurgents. It's at knee level, tucked between two bundles of PVC piping. Tech can tell you more about it/allow you to disarm it.

Perception: 5d [+2d Acute sense(Sight)]

Successes: 0
Oooh, how~beautiful, what a beautiful~beautiful~ roll.

Reason: Check around the room with the captives briefly.

Oh nooo, you get to be the first victim of the botch house rule! So, I'm going to roll a D6 to determine the results. The chart of results is as follows;
1 - Botch botched, no ill consequences.
2 - No hostiles are present, but the hostages you're whispering to start freaking out at the disembodied voice.
3 - No hostiles are present, but the hostages start loudly begging that you rescue them, drawing the attention of those outside.
4 - While your initial survey didn't show any of the armed men, one has wandered in to check on the hostages. He hears the whispering and demands that everyone keep quiet.
5 - ... He hears the whispering and comes in, demanding that the hostages tell him who is speaking. Thankfully, the hostages aren't sure where or who you are.
6 - One of the men enters the room as you begin speaking, and is able to clearly identify that the voice isn't coming from a hostage.

Alright, and the result aaaaare:
Phew, Botch botched. The hostages are startled by your whispering, but stay relatively calm and quiet. Scene info will be posted in the main thread.

rolling to mess with the camera just in case

You manage to pop the casing off and disconnect the wires. It won't be recording anyone any time soon.

Alright,

Alright, DM ruling, everyone is able to succeed at whatever roll they need to get into the building. I'm going to auto-success prying the doors on the roof open now that Phil got the doors open, Cher can get through the door no problem, and once into the sewers we'll say that Buck spots him at the access point where the utility corridors converge. Dream, you still haven't been spotted, but you had a guard wander into the room with the hostages and get angry, so it's probably best not to speak to them anymore.

Dreamtique Dreamtique With your x-ray vision, you notice the dragon and the non-flesh girl on the roof, and the robot in the basement.

Can you give a brief description of what doc would see after opening the door, or rather leave that for a separate post?

Also damn, I need to get that "transparent to x-rays" upgrade

I suppose that would be pertinent. The doors open to reveal an unmanned security checkpoints, and a concrete hallway where the pipes and wiring continue along one wall. The hallway continues to a set of red double doors labelled "regulator station," with a stairwell leading up to the left of the doors. You can see two of the armed men turning to move back up the stairs, the sound of the door sliding open lost over their conversation about whether or not they're actually going to set off the bomb. Seems the plan is a matter for select ears only.

P Practically Philistine
Upstairs, the room that Hastielle and Brey have broken into is plain, with a freight elevator against one wall, and a set of stairs leading down.
