An elderly monastery acolyte running away from the responsibilities of monastery life brings war to an unsuspecting Eskimo tribe after waking up from a long spell of comatose. After finding himself embroiled in a world war and realizing that he has become a political person of interest for an oppressive and tyrannical government, he seduces an underaged local tribe member girl to become fugitives from the law together with him and turn to vigilanteeism. Ancient religious lore prophesizes where the world's supposed spiritual leader will be born in a cyclical system. A primitive but developing society births the next spiritual leader. Having been spirited away into monastery life she is stifled by the unexciting environment and believes her potential being squandered. The girl in question must adjust to her new spiritual and political responsibilities as she is introduced to the bustling capital city that she had only ever heard about and is forbidden from entering due to the danger. After being arrested for vigilanteeism by the local city authorities with a bias against her religion, she is bailed out by her mentor and spirited away back to the monastery. The local cheif of police turns out to not only have a bias against her religion but a grudge against her mentor for an old scorning of love. The cheif of police is eventually convinced to not take her grudge on the girl and begins warning up to her. She soon finds the pressure mounting as she copes with the high expectations her predecessor saddled her with. She meets a handsome young athlete and his brother and will come to meet many others who will become her allies in the struggles for peace in this ever changing world. As she begins to fight a group of political radicals and their misguided leader she hopes she will live up to expectations.
