This seems to be the most common power, as it has been displayed by many witches and warlocks, and can be used offensively and defensively. ( kevin )

Chlorokinesis

Resurgence

The magical ability to resurrect oneself and other individuals from death. Hello everyone! Welcome to the character creation thread for Descendants of Salem! Please make sure to not add anything extra to your character sheet unless you ask permission. Refer to the accepted powers list above for a main power for your character. Make sure to only choose one power! As the role play progresses, each character will gain anywhere between 3-5 new powers!

For the Power Revelation part for your character, keep in mind that the age they currently are is also the age they found out about their power on their own and when they also got sent to Miss Robichaux's by their parents or current guardian. You also have the option to be taken to Robichaux by having your character's Power Revelation make the news, e.g. your character accidentally burns down a building with their Pyrokinesis or your character was caught using their Resurgence power to bring someone/thing back to life.   Juniper is midsized, not particularly skinny, but not big by any means. She has mousey brown hair that extends into a blonde ombre, giving it a sun-bleached look. Her hair is curly and about shoulder length, with fringe pieces framing her face. Meanwhile, her eyes are a deep brown with the look of someone who sees straight through a person.   Juniper is an ambiverted, intuitive, highly observant young woman. Many people say she’s too observant, given her propensity for reading people. She is easy to get along with and has very few enemies. Highly empathetic and nurturing, Juniper is known to be the “mother” of a friend group, constantly looking out for their needs and wants. She is loyal to a tee, and can always be counted on to lend an ear. A ride-or-die friend, she wants what is best for people (most of the time). You can always be assured that she will support you, even when you’re wrong. And often at the expense of herself.
  
  Despite all her good traits, Juniper certainly has her share of vices. She can be a bit clingy at times, desperate for the attention and affection of those she cares about. Even going as far as to insert herself into situations where she does not belong (and making other people’s business her own). She also tends towards emotional volatility. It’s anyone’s guess how she might feel at any moment. You will often find her throwing a pity party for herself when things don’t go as planned. And she also loves to make it everyone else’s problem. Which can put a huge dampener on her relationships, though it often helped her gain her parent’s affection.
  
  Given her ability to read people, literally and figuratively, you can also find her using that as an advantage. You will rarely see her arguing with people or talking down to them, and she truly wants everyone to get along.   Juniper Losett was born in San Diego, California to parents, Cairo and Myrah Losett. She is the middle child of three, an older and younger sister, Juliet and Jaclyn. For the most part, she had a happy childhood. Spending most of her day on the beaches, and hanging out with her friends. She often played peacemaker between her sisters, and even between her parents, who often fought. Juniper hoped to salvage her parents' relationship. But unfortunately, it just kept getting worse. Until her father, Cairo, walked out on their family when she was ten.
  
  Believing her father’s departure to be partly her fault, Juniper thought that she had to try very hard to get people to stay, which exacerbated her clingy nature. She also feels it's her responsibility to keep people together, so she does everything she can to keep relationships intact, even ones that don’t involve her.   While out with her friends, Juniper began to hear voices in her head. It started slow, with a few snatches here and there. Eventually, she heard something from Lacy, who was expressing that she was happy for Tulla, who started dating Tod. However, Juniper heard in Lacy's voice that she was furious and heartbroken because she also had a crush on Tulla. When Juniper confronted Lacy about it later that night, Lacy was confused how Juniper knew, since she had never told anyone.   VIRTUES ╼
  Ambitious: Once Seraphina sets her sights on something or starts something new, she will push towards those goals no matter what happens, and will never quit in the middle of doing it. She's the sort of person who wants to achieve a lot of things within her lifetime, to show those around her (and to brag a little bit.. or alot) that “yes! that was me who did that.” You can bet that her bucket list is longer than a mile by now with how much she adds to it.
  Intelligent: Though Seraphina may look ditzy, and always has her head in the clouds type of girl, her wits are razor sharp. Problem solving is one of her many assets that got her to the point she is now. She’s incredible at always finding a loophole or solution for any of her toughest problems, in a blink of an eye too.
  Charismatic: It's unknown how Seraphina is able to do it, but something about her catches a lot of people's eye. She's able to dazzle those that she meets to with her sweet talking, and endless compliments, to the point that a good amount of those who know her want to be her friend, or be with her.
  
  VICES ╼
  Hubris: With the amount of aspirations, praise and achievements that Seraphina has received in such little time, causes her to be quite arrogant, and very prideful of her abilities, to the point where it is an excessive amount. Those that know Seraphina’s true nature want her to take it down a peg or two … or five.
  Manipulative: Seraphina sees something she wants? She WILL get it, whether it’d be an item, a friendship, a relationship, if it benefits her in the slightest she’ll try her damn best in getting it. She’s all sickly sweet and knows exactly what to say to get what she wants, but in the end she’ll probably never speak to you again.
  Jealous: The green eyed monster lives in Seraphina rent free.   Seraphina Dean was born into a life of privilege, in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the esteemed Dean family. Seraphina’s parents owned a dozen plots of land, and the plot of land their extravagant estate sat on is one Seraphina called home for years. Her mother was named Lilith Dean, a socialite, and her father, a businessman, Andrew Dean. She grew up attending lavish parties, taking part in lessons to keep her manners in check and meeting so many people in one night that she couldn’t remember any of the names she was told. Seraphina was a spoiled child, her parents never doing anything to help change that, if anything they encouraged it. This spoiled behavior even translated into her adulthood, though Seraphina has learned to cut back on it.
  
  When she was twelve, her parents decided to relocate to New Orleans, Louisiana for more connections, as well as work purposes. Which Seraphina was unhappy about, and she was very blatant about her feelings, refusing to pack or do anything to help, and ignoring her parents all together. Her parents had to do some convincing (mostly ..monetary), but once they were able to convince her they were on their way to a brand new town, a place Seraphina could settle down and gather her bearings.   It’s not an everyday occurance seeing a thunderstorm occur inside of a room, and your OWN bedroom nonetheless. Seraphina wasn’t amused in the slightest, and very upset at the rate at which her belongings were getting soaked and destroyed, especially since it was her new bedroom! Her mother had walked into the room amused, a smirk on her lips, immediately promising Seraphina that they would replace everything in her bedroom. Without any hesitation her mother started explaining what had just happened to her, as well as speaking about their family’s long history with magic, though it was more prominent on her mother’s side, with Seraphina’s father not having one clue. Her mother then took her hand, demonstrating how Seraphina’s powers worked, and when she tried on her own, a small flurry of snow emerged from her palms. Though, Seraphina was suddenly hyper aware of how suddenly fatigued she felt.   Beatrix’s upbringing was not an easy or happy childhood. Her father, Mr. Nepenthe, tried his best to be a present and caring father; Beatrix’s mother, on the other hand, was a woman filled with anger and vindictiveness. With her mother’s explosive temper and anger issues, it caused a rift between her father and her mother. Which eventually led to her father walking out. But before he did, he fought for the right to have Bea. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on Mr Nepenthe’s side as his wife puppeteered the judge in her favour. In the end, and by law, Henry Nepenthe is no longer a guardian of Beatrix Nepenthe.
  
  She was told that her father left her for another woman. Her mother filled Bea’s head with her dirty lies and manipulation due to her desperate need for control and self-satisfaction. Some lies have utterly destroyed Bea’s confidence in herself, yet she stays because she firmly believes that her mother is all she’s got. As she grows up, she tends to remain silent and reserve herself. She’s had a few friends here and there; those she became close to became her closest confidante. School and education sometimes became her refuge from her unbearable mother.
  
  The more she grew up, the more her mother became more unbearable. Beatrix approached her with kindness and was always met with shouting, which would soon turn into hitting or slapping. Around this time, she was of proper age to have a part-time job. She took an opportunity to be a cafe waitress. And almost every time her paycheck came, her mother would almost often steal the money for herself, until one night when her mother was having another manic period where everything changed. Bea’s mother took all her anger out on her poor daughter. It was the worst episode Bea had experienced with her mother. And for the first time, she stood up for herself.
  
  “Leave me alone!”
  
  The silence was apparent between the two parties. That was until her mother gave her a rare cold and calculating look. Far different from her fiery and explosive temper.
  
  “You want me to leave? Fine, then. Have it your way. After all I have done for you, I’ll leave you just like your father did to you. You are as unloveable as he said.” With that, she swiftly packed all her items while Bea begged her mother to stay and not leave her. Bea couldn’t stand the thought of the two people supposed to care for and love her, leaving her alone at her lowest. With a bruised arm, raising to grab her abuser’s hands, she begs the one person she has never to leave her.
  
  She left, and something else happened.

  Amid an explosive outburst from her mother, Bea was left all alone. Her emotion took over her, and she granted her one single wish. To have a loving and caring parent. In her eyes, her mother came back and reconciled with her. She was so engulfed in this fantasy she neglected her job.
  After her absence from her job for a few days, her boss became involved and asked for a welfare check on Bea. And what the authorities found was just Bea talking to someone they couldn’t see. This resulted in Bea's admission to the hospital. Since her mother didn’t come and get her, they contacted her second parental figure. It was the first time she and her father met after fifteen years. Since the Salem blood ran through him and his parents educated him, he knew exactly what was happening and immediately enrolled her at Miss Robichaux's Academy for Gifted Individuals.
