PLOT
-
Every year on spring break, the European cruise hosted by Aquaria Cruises is fully booked. Gigantic families, elderly couples, and all those college students who merely want to party hard - they all book a ticket. Starting from Boston, the cruise takes it's passengers for a full tour around the Mediterranean sea as well as the west coast of Europe.
This year, things turned out a little different than expected.
Halfway across the Atlantic Ocean, the weather got bad in a matter of minutes. The wind got stronger, the clouds darker, and the waves got so high that the captain got down on her knees and prayed. Shortly after, the ship that had been a paradise for the passengers turned into a nightmare. For quite some time, there was a total mayhem on deck. People running around like chickens, furniture being tossed around, crying children in every corner. Then, out of nowhere came rogue wave that broke the ship in half. Within mere seconds, she was completely under the surface.
And then it was quiet.
Twenty one hours passed, and while many lives had been lost, there were survivors who had gotten a hold of a piece of wood or a life jacket somewhere. The unconscious bunch were after some time driven up on a beach of an seemingly isolated island. There's no contact with the world around them, and no one can hear their cries for help.
These people, all with different stories to tell, must work together to survive. There will be drama. There will be fighting. But they'll keep trying in the hopes that one day they'll get to go home.
what they don't know is that they are not alone.

ROLES
-
'The Alpha'
From the first second they sets foot on the island, they take it in their own hands to get everything under control. They quickly become the leader of the group, the one who takes charge.
'The Bishop'
They may actually not be religious at all, the name refers mostly to the chess piece. They are the right hand of the alpha, and is completely loyal to them. While they may strongly disagree, the bishop will always take the alpha's words over anyone else's.
'The Caregiver'
They're a kind soul who only wants to help. With a degree in medical science and a personal interest in herbology, the caretaker does what they can to treat the sick or wounded.
'The Sceptic'
Loathes anything that has to do with rules, and they absolutely hate everyone who thinks they're superior (cough, cough, the alpha). But they are extremely intelligent, and has the intellect of a thousand year old mastermind.
'The Innocent'
The one who is regarded by others weak because of their soft nature and kind of immature nature. They have high expectations of life, and their dreams are often considered too high.
'The Explorer'
The explorer seeks out the most daring adventures they can find. They live their lives to the extreme, a choice that is often questioned by the rest of the group. But they are extremely creative, and can with a little logical help from the sceptic create some masterpieces.
'The Criminal' ( paranoia )
Whether their crime was theft or homicide, it's still a fact that they have been locked up at least once. It's up to them if they ever want to tell the rest of the group, but everyone will find out in one way or another. A bit of a mystical character, no one knows much about them, and they don't really open up to anyone.
'The Wise'
They know just about every single thing. They have over the years gained experience through a lot of trouble in the past. They have the best advice for any situation, and have the answer to almost every type of philosophical question.
'The Cook'
Sure, they're no famous chef, but they know more than most about food - cooking, what to eat and so on. You wouldn't trust them with a weapon of any kind, considering that they are considered pretty dumb, but at least they make killer meals.

- While there will be no extremely detailed gore or anything the like, there might be some unsettling topics. Also, some characters may or may not be killed off, don't get butthurt if yours is one of them.

SETTING
-
The roleplay is set in modern time, somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. The island has a kind of tropical climate, though not with coconuts and palm trees. It's a large island, with a huge part of it being a gloomy forest where the trees almost look dead.
There's no access to technology or tap water or anything the like, the group will just have to make do with what they find on the island.
The story is based upon William Golding's "Lord of the Flies", but is also heavily inspired by modern survival shows such as Lost, The 100 etc.
This is mostly going to be a roleplay driven by each character, but I'll be there to switch things up if it's getting slow.
also, have fun, ily
