So how are we doing ownership of specific clans? Or are we all having an equal part in clan creation?

No ownership, we will have an equal part. I mean, we can have more desire for specific clans, but no one clan should be possessed by one of us. Obviously, the person with the leader of that clan or medicine cat of that clan will have more adjustment to make things happen, but so do just random members of the clan.
Just decide on whether 4 clans like always or a tragedy happened that brought the 4 clans to 2. This can be either they rule the whole lake still or just two clans remain.

Oh, and just so you know, @DemonKitten , I've read the books from the original Warriors series to the Omen of the Stars series, as well as all of the Super Editions except for the most recent one. I own the first book of the Dawn of the Clans series, but have yet to read it. I also stopped reading them due to a loss of interest because of the writing being so simple and children's book like.
But I may have to do a bit of researching for a refresher, because it's been a long time. (approx. 2 years x-x )

Dawn of the clans series is very well written. The omen of the stars and power of three were not great though some of the characters I did love.PlaguedWithInsanity said:

I think that if we did have 2 clans, then the clans would be in the process of trying to rebuild the other two. There have always been 4 clans and I can't see anything leading the clans to believe that all of a sudden 2 clans is ok. That is just my personal opinion though.DemonKitten said:

so maybe, Starclan informs these cats that have lived as two clans for awhile that there actually use to be four and in order to bring back order they need to bring back the other two? @PlaguedWithInsanity @DaughterofAthena or did we agree on simply making 4?

I don't even think that Starclan would need to inform them that there used to be 4. I think they would likely have enough stories to know that. Maybe they just needed an extra push from Starclan in order to actually get started on something... a prophecy.DemonKitten said:

I was thinking Windclan and Riverclan because those were the least important in the books. But it's okay.

Riverclan and Windclan, we can do those two. Maybe a fire burned the other two since they are right near each other and when the forest grew back, the clans never resplit and time just sort of passed by

I also thought the fire thing would be good because thunderclan and shadowclan both have highly dense forest
