Maybe Near is killed by the new Kira or some other means?  If the creator doesn't want the old characters back  And if you wish to be Kira, then go ahead^^

If this rp only takes place 7 years after Raito dies, then I don't think that would be possible anyway. Near should still be on the scene working as the new 'L', so at the most they could only be a Wammy's alumni. Nothing more.  And as we've seen, Wammy's can produce very diverse characters. Mello, Matt, Near, L, Beyond, Linda. None of them are alike, tbh.


Also, I always wanted to be Kira in an rp. Though, wouldn't there be some plot holes if Near still operates as 'L'. Couldn't imagine he'd just ignore a new and rising Kira. Unless he decides the new Kira isn't up to par with him to waste time on. Though the whole challenge thing seemed more L's way of thinking. Idk.

Well, I don't have too much of an extensive out of the original anime knowledge of the lore. So I couldn't truly know for sure about every detail

Oh, I guess they don't talk much about Wammy's in the anime. I get most of my knowledge from the manga. Sometimes, though, I forget if something came from the manga or anime. I can't even remember if the Linda cameo was in the anime or manga.

Well I know some bits and pieces of the Wammy house but that's about it

I would if I decided to be ultra intelligent with a death note but decided to go homicidal on normal people which I decided not too so... Yeah

Well my Shinigami has a twist to it when it comes to joining a human on it's sad, sad adventure mortals call life. It takes the same route as your homicidal idea would, probably. Call it the black lining to an already stormy cloud. : D
