❛ it's only love, nobody dies ❜
Ivy Winters
"Evening, Ivy. Did you just get here?"
Ivy heard the familiar voice of Caleb and looked in his direction, a slow smile spreading across her features. "You know I'm never on time." He returned her playful smile, leaning against a tree, looking out at the crowded bonfire. "Bunch of idiots."
"Not all of them." Caleb shrugged, and she shot him an interested glance. She turned her attention back to the crowd, spotting quite a few people she recognized and even more than she didn't. Glad she wasn't a freshman anymore, she sighed, wishing that she was a little more social. Ever since her last group of friends had burned her, turning her into what she was now, she just couldn't bring herself to make real friends. She was slowly coming out of her shell here, with thanks to Caleb and a few others, but it was still tough.
With those that she did know, she came across as a fairly confident girl who knew what she wanted. But really, she was good at faking it, and she had a mean control streak. She had potential, if she could get past her shyness.
A guy strode past them, obviously intoxicated, looking for someone. He dropped his red cup on the ground and Ivy made a face. Littering was one of her biggest pet peeves. "Throw your trash away, asshole." Ivy muttered, moving to the red cup and picking it up to throw away. As she turned back, she noticed Virgo walking up and smiled sweetly at her. "Hey, Virgo."
The girl greeted Caleb, then turned to Ivy, who perked up at the mention of her babies. "They're doing so good! You should see the lily I brought with me. It's beautiful."
