Fandom Darkness consuming.((DISCONTINUED.))

Reed only half payed attention to Axil. He was busy focusing on soothing the fox girl. She had twitched once then went still, but he heard her heart beat quicken. He stopped moving and laid her down "Hold on" he said to the group as the fox girl began twitching and moaning, even shaking at times. Reed tried humming and stroking her hair to soothe her but it didn't really help any. When the twitching lessened he picked her up and began walking again, looking down every time she moaned, the twitching never completely stopped, but the shaking did. "Looks like she's having bad dreams" he says out loud, to no one in particular. He looks to rainy and smirks "don't worry, I would definitely soothe you too if you had a nightmare" he says with a wink and a laugh

((Reed never learned your name))

(I see.)

I came back to reality with a start. I kept my eyes closed and tried to calm down before I broke into tears. crying wouldn't help anything and the sooner I could walk, the better. I was vaguely aware that I was being carried but tried to focus on staying calm.

Rainy smirked "The real question is why you would be near me when I'm sleeping." She said. She laughed mentally at her words, she was right this trip would be fun. She was glad she didn't leave when it began or she would have missed this, and she couldn't imagine not being with this group.

Once they were far enough away in a spot that Axil declared safe, he tossed his bag onto the ground and unzipped it. "Two hour break I guess. It's been a rough day for some of us." He looked pointedly at both Dympna and Kaya. "Eat, sleep, do whatever you have to do. You have two hours then we move on." He grumbled. He itched to keep moving but some people couldn't walk as long as others so he had to accommodate for that. He himself pulled a can out of his bag and slowly shook half of the contents into his mouth. When he was done he wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve, and found a way to reseal the can. "Now you can hunt if you like or I have some food in the bag you can have. If you eat only half a can then we'll have enough food to last us. If you hunt you'll have to eat it raw, we can't risk a fire."

"I can probably find some sort of fish in a stream." Dympna offered. She could tell beacuse she felt the running water near by. "I will be back." And with that, she dashed off to get food.

I went off to find a quiet place. I found a big bush and slipped into a cavity in the center. I cried for awhile. Never had a vision hit me so hard. I knew what it was I actually experienced but I didn't want to process it. So I sobbed until I was calm again and wiped my eyes. I changed into my fox form before I started back so no one would know that I'd been crying. On my way back I thought I caught a scent that seems familiar but I kept walking.

Dympna followed her feeling to the stream. "Ah ha!" She muttered happily. Settling down into a crouch, she pressed her face close to the water, and began to sing softly so that only the fish would hear. After a few minuets a couple of fish had piled up on the bank for her to gather. "Thank you." She bowed her head in thanks.

He rolled his eyes. They all had run off like a bunch of children. He bet that maybe one, if he was lucky, had check to ensure the safety of where they were going. And in that moment he swore he was a parent. "Well I'm not going after them to tell them to check." He sulked.

Reed was waiting for Rainy already changed into a big black panther twice her size, big golden eyes flashing dangerously he walked over to her, placing his head in her hands. "There's more than just animals in this forest. We're going to have some fun for sure. But this time I'll let you get a head start" he rumbles, his words coming out in deep purrs.

Rainy smiled "Perfect." She said before summoning her cross. She walked a few steps away from Reed then used Shadow Step until she was deep into the forest. She closed her eyes and sensed a few auras here and there. She assumed they where animals until she sensed one that she was sure was human. She smirked and ran quietly in the direction she sensed it in. She came to a clearing and smiled when she saw the tent and a young man sitting outside of it, sharpening a knife.

I walked back to camp in my fox form and decided to have some fun seeing how long I could hide until Axil found me. I hid in in a patch of shadows and watched Axil for a few minutes. I knew I was being childish but I can't be serious and gloomy all the time. It's too hard and stressful to try that. So, I stayed hidden.

Axil glanced down at the old slightly worn watch on his wrist. Soon they would have to go. He decided that he would try to locate them if they didn't start showing up soon. He decided to start with Kaya. He tried to pick up her trail but when everybody had been in a huge blitz to get out of the makeshift camp they had scrambled up their scents so bad that he couldn't tell person from person. He caught a whiff of her scent leading away from the camp so he followed it to where she had gone. He followed it to a bush and he looked under it. Nobody was there.

Alarmed he straightened his back and rubbed the tendons on his wrist. He couldn't smell a return trail. Had she followed her trail back to the camp? Was he coming down with a cold? Was he not trying hard enough? Then one thought froze him in his tracks. Did the St.Clouds develop scent hiding technology? He went into blind panic mode and he sprinted back to camp. By the time he arrived his arms were starting to deform themselves and he struggled to calm himself down enough to think rationally. Unfortunately rational thinking under stress wasn't his best feature.

I was careful to cover my scent on the way back. I was about to reveal myself back at camp, when something hit my shoulder, a dart. More darts began to whizz through the air by me and Axil. A few hit me and I fell, my vision already blurred. I managed to change into human form. "Axil, they're here! run!" Thats all I could manage before darkness claimed me.

Rainy quietly walked towards the man and placed one hand on his shoulder. He jumped and whirled around to meet her. She smiled. He seemed to relax a little and calmed down. "Who are you?" He asked "I'm camping nearby and saw I cute young man like you so I had to say hi." She said with pure innocence. He blushed "W-well thank you miss." He said Could you put down that knife? It's making me nervous." She said with a frown. "Of-of course." He said still stuttering slightly. Rainy mentally sighed as the man kept talking about his hunts. I wonder how the other are doing? She soon got tiered of his talking and leaned in, kissing him. He was startled but as soon as her spell kicked in She pulled back and saw that her spell had worked for now he was looking at her longingly with purple eyes instead of his former brown eyes. She sighed "To easy." She said aloud knowing the man cared nothing of what she said unless it was a command directed to him.

That was it. The darts flying around the camp pushed him over the edge. He fell to the ground and began the change. Once it was over he let loose a loud howl and scooped Kaya from the ground. He slung her over his shoulder and dropped awkwardly onto all fours. On his way out of the camp he snatched up his bag with his teeth and sprinted as fast as his feet and paws could move him.

I don't know how I could still think, but I managed it. My thoughts were jumbled, so I focused on one fact. Darts. I have to wake up! I imagined pulling all the sedative out of my body and forced myself to believe that I wasn't hit. It worked better than I hoped and I fell to the ground still in my fox form but very much awake and started to run. I managed to keep up pretty well with Axil and focused on escaping. It was then that I realized something and stopped dead in my tracks. It was a set up. A trap. they only shot at us from one direction, knowing that we'd run the other way. "Axil! Stop!" I shouted in my human form again, pulling out darts in my shoulders and back at the same time.

Reed was stalking into the camp, eyes on the hunter when he heard the scream followed by the howl. He stopped stalking and jumped over to where they were and yanked on Rainy ' s skirt. "We have to go, trouble" he snarled running back to the camp. He climbed a tree then started jumping from tree to tree jn the direction of the camp. He dropped down on 3 different people ripping into them each time before finally reaching the camp. He saw no one but heard the darts flying. He dropped to the ground turning into a small cat and running into the forest back towards rainy

He felt the weight fall from his back and he stopped in fear and turned around, rising back up onto his feet. He growled at whoever had snatched her off of his back. He glanced around wildly, before his eyes landed on Kaya. She was pulling the darts out of her back and seemed perfectly fine. He leaped over and covered her body with his own if anybody showed up. His instincts told him to keep running but she had to explain. A whine was ripped out of him as he struggled for control. He forced himself to sit and he dug his claws into the earth to prevent himself from bolting, or ripping his friend limb from limb.

"Axil, I know you want to run, but if we run that way, we'll be taken." I closed my eyes and listened. one way out but if both of us go that way, we'll be caught. "Go that way, it's clear, but if we both go...." I trailed off and pointed in the direction of the gap. "I'll distract them. their closing in so you don't have much time. I'll catch up to you if I can. If I don't..." I figured he'd know if i was caught.

Dympna heard a howl go up in the air and looked around panicked. "What the hell was that?!" She half shouted half asked. Small darts where shooting out of nowhere. "Crap. I got to get back to the group. Maybe I can help." Dympna ran back to where the camp had been and saw some of the people there. "Guys, I can help. You two can go and I can make the people stop. Fair warning, you should probably cover your ears if I do."

I had a pretty good idea of what she would do. "If you do what i think you're going to do, even if Axil and I covered our ears, we'd still hear it. super hearing you know. not going to help. They are starting to close in. I might be able to buy you to enough time to slip away and find Rainy and Reed, i think his name was. You two should go. I'm mostly a burden to the group anyway." A sound to my left told me that they were getting closer. 'Go! I have a plan. if we stand around any longer, nothing will help."

He growled and angrily shook his head. He ripped his claws from the earth and glared at the two of them. He growled deep in his throat. There was no way he was letting her give herself up. He wondered how the other two were fairing out and hoped that they were okay before focusing on the current situation. Something caught his attention and he stood up straight, straining his ears the sound it came from. He took a menacing step forward but stopped. He couldn't leave them alone.

"I swear you must be crazier than I am." I shook my head and pulled out a pocket knife I'm sure no one else knew i carried. "If we all get captured, I'm going to blame you for being so stubborn."
