The meal had been an interesting meet and greet though she did wish they others had been a bit more vocal, then again given her adding Hachi to her friend circle vocal should perhaps not be high on the list expectations. The silence continued in the following weeks while she awaited the response from the school but those weeks were not exactly spent just sitting around, she had to continue training and growing, so if anything her work only doubled between her responsibilities to the others in preparation for the full departure. Part of her had wanted to sit back, enjoy the last few moments of home before she moved into the school but what she wanted and what she needed were two different things. Her clash in the test had shown a clear gap, the memories of when her father had saved her even more so, a thought that spurned her onwards as she dragged the scrap laden sled up and through the sandy dune on another day of sweat-drenched practice.

Even should the letter have not come, she would have still continued, she was set on her path regardless of the school, sure it would have been harder but that never stopped her before. Fortunately, that path did not come into question however and she would find herself in uniform. The idea of colored badges did seem weird to her and she idly wonders if she should have spent more time reading up on the finer points of the school as they were being given out, the prospect of success as a number wasn't really something she ever really followed, so as a color was even less so. Regardless she takes the red badge and was about to affix it to her scarf when the outburst from the Hirano siblings stopped her movement and she stepped over to investigate just as one of them ran from the grounds, her interest in the rest of the proceedings falling to the wayside.

A slight furrow of her brow could be seen for a moment as the Kazue seemed to be approaching her "You should go after them and apologize." Her tone flat as she looks off in the sibling's direction "All this over a colored badge, I'm starting to dislike the idea even more."

Oddly enough Chisuke had a bit of trouble finding his friends in the large crowds of students that was there. Of course Chisuke wasn't too bothered by that. He was enjoying his new friends, but still very much enjoyed his piece and quiet. For now he just sat down and waited for the ceremony to begin, trusting that Prince, and his other friends would find him later on.

Chisuke watched quietly as Principal King continued with the ceremony. He nodded quietly to himself as the Hero confirmed the rumors about the school using a hierarchy system. Though he wasn't exactly sure if that system was a good think yet. Either way, Chisuke had gotten into the lowest tier house as he predicted. He went up and collected his badge, smiling as he shook hands with Lens. When it was time for red Badges he spotted prince and gave him a gentle wave, telling him he did good.

Prince wasn't too happy when his plans for a prank failed, an unimpressed face melting over his original expression. He admitted that perhaps his plans for another prank were a bit too overboard as now he was forced to pick a seat nowhere near Chisuke and the others. With a slight pout on his countenance, he sat down in the nearest chair with his arms crossed, akin to a child who was just scolded.

His mood was quickly dealt with as Principal King started talking, disappointment being replaced with a new flame of curiosity. His interest climbed further as the heroes revealed themselves through quite the dramatic and smoky entrance. The technofreak recognized almost all of them, since every single hero on stage was a top list hero. He tried to hold his excitement through clenched teeth, but you could still very much see that he was trying his best not to run to the stage and get all their autographs.

Prince's focus was solely on the heroes, concentrated so much that he didn't realize it was time to receive his badge. The student beside him nudged Prince asking if that was him they were calling. His face flushed a bit before nodding yes and proceeding to the stage to collect his badge. He was one of the red badges! From what he remembered, that was the middle class second to the gold badges.

He looked around the students who were on the stage for red badges, looking for any of his former teammates. While he spotted Akira and Chikage, his bestie was nowhere to be seen. Activating his quirk for camera vision once again, he spotted a small handwave from none other than Chisuke in the crowd. Unfortunately, he was placed into the blue badges but that didn't matter to him right now. He waved back ecstatically, pleased at the thought that both of them had made it in.

New life awaits, Prince.

Aoi Kokegoke

Dojo

Three of the wooden boards broke midair like styrofoam and shattered into small pieces which fell to the floor.
“Next!” Aoi shouted at the older man, who stopped scratching his mustache only for a second to sigh and throw the next batch with his quirk. They were quickly dealt with as well by Aoi’s kicks. “Next!”
“Aren't you getting bored of it? It’s been 90 minutes already.” The man complained.
“Master.” She bowed. “With all due respect. Next!” The reaction proved frustrating enough to the man that instead of the usual three he chucked about ten at once. Aoi barely got five before the rest fell to the ground, untouched. “Are you mad!? There is no way I can get that many!”
“You seem upset.” The man laughed. “Tell me what happened.”
“I don’t want to talk about it, master.” She plopped to the ground, panting and sweating as only now did her body register how tired she really was. Some small puffy greenery sprouted from her elbow. She quickly yanked it and threw the shrub away. “God damn it.”
“You used it, right?” The man walked closer and sat opposed to the girl. “You’ve been like that ever since the exam.” Aoi took a second to respond and gazed at the brown ceiling which for years now has been slowly rotting away.
“So what if I did?” She shrugged like a spoiled kid. “Won’t do that again. I got in. That’s what counts.”
“If you’re really set on doing that, Aoi, then you have hell in front of you.” Her master said, looking at the wall with his empty gaze. “It’s not middle school. Everybody there is stronger than you. You better remember that.”

Alderaan Academy

I do remember, old man. I could never forget what happened with that girl. The image of Hatsu flashed before her eyes. Unmatched in speed and strength. For Aoi the exam was a test of her skills and the shear strength of her will, while for Hatsu it was probably just an inconvenient necessity or formality. Some do win the quirk Russian roulette, and some take the bullet. It’s only natural.
“First up, the Blue Badges: Aoi Kokegoke…”
Principal King’s voice returned her to the world of the living, and with considerable distaste. Being the first person on a list of weaklings. Being the first one to go out there and accept the chewed up, ugly blue badge. If somebody spat in Aoi’s face she would probably feel better, then again, she could spit back. The blue badge was to be expected, but it made for a bitter start nonetheless. It wasn’t a reason to give up, of course. One can only go up if they’re on the bottom. When the time to actually accept the badge came, Aoi just stood for a second, and when prompted to pick the hero, she just shrugged.
"I don’t care. Just hurry up and do it.” Mark 7 granted her the badge, and she was free to go.

She smirked upon hearing other names being read. I guess our whole team was shit. Almost… (kinda standing there idly. Open for interactions.)

Hoshi Hayashi

Alderaan Academy

For this grand occasion Hoshi made sure to buy a suit: a red one (and of course second hand). After how easy the exam had proven to be, his ego only inflated. He bought the suit of course to match the badge he’ll get, and almost bought a bright gold one, but then decided that showing up in a color worse than what he’d get would show humility and boost how others view him. It was a shame he got a measly red, but at least the suit complimented the badge beautifully.
As students approached the stage, he was torn. Nirvana was really cool, but Summer had that growth spurt that may prove crucial in her popularity and rank. There was also the alchemist, but even though he had been the highest ranking one, his style wasn’t exactly what Hoshi had in mind for himself. They say invest, so it must be the wise thing to do. He approached Summer.
“Thank you very much.” He brushed his hair back. “When the time for internships comes.” He winked and started walking away, waving. “You know who to pick.”
The timing proved to be on Hoshi’s side, and he got to experience the Hirano siblings’ outburst. Sheesh. He thought, glancing at the poor, blue yasu. That’s an ungraceful way to make an exit. He decided to follow the other sibling, bumping into a conversation she led with another girl.
“Rather rude of you, my dear shark friend.” Hoshi casually leaned on Kazue, using her shoulder as an armrest. “Public humiliation is not good for one’s image, you know.” His face twisted in disgust for a second. “I mean, it could be, if you’re into that kind of thing…”

His gaze shifted to the ashen-haired girl.
“Why is that? The idea is great. Gives people motivation.” He whipped out one of his sly smiles™. “Though I do feel like there once was a historical event where people were segregated by color…” He shrugged. “It’s probably nothing important. Hoshi Hayashi, top of the school. Pleasure to meet you.” If he had a fedora, he would tip it right now. Without it, he just defaulted to a slight bow.

After she had come back to the table, she gathered up the water bottles that we're on the surface up into her arms, said a quick farewell, and darted off to get home as fast as she could because if she were to stay there a minute longer, she knew that she would've been scolded by her parents. Chikage was brimming with energy after the event, meanwhile, she never had it, she did now, of all times, though she wasn't complaining.

The wait and anticipation of the few weeks before the news of whether or not she'd get her letter of acceptance from the school was suffocating for her. All she could help herself to was to hone her skills more and more, just in case she didn't get in and she'd have to find another way to be a hero. Though the girl never thought she was good at controlling her quirk well enough to not tire herself out, she was better at it than her aunt, surpassing her abilities a few years back when she was nine. It wasn't a surprise to the woman that had been teaching Chikage all she knew from personal experiences, helping her every bit of the way to the person she is now. When the dark-haired girl had gotten the letter, she had mixed feelings about what would happen next. Of course, she was glad that she had managed to get in, but she was also beginning to be a bundle of nervous energy when she remembered about the hierarchy system, worrying about what badge she'll get, but she didn't let that get to her. She was just finally relieved that she has the chance to go to such a great school. Almost immediately after she had calmed her nerves down, she started to wonder if she should move into the school, or stay home, to which the answer was simple. She started packing her bags and was ready to go.

The day of the ceremony had come sooner than Chikage had thought it would, but she dismissed that thought. The girl had not gotten her suitcase yet, planning on getting it later to not have a burden which she needed to carry everywhere she went. Her eyes had scanned the crowd, the action reminding her of the day at the exam. Although now, she was trying to get away from all the faces she knew. She basically straight away noticed all her teammates, not a hard task to do. She kept herself farther away from the larger crowd as to not get lost, found a seat, and waited for the ceremony to really start.

While she waited for the principle of the school to show up and start his speech and everything, she thought of making a few bouquets of flowers for her teammates that she could give them after she'd found them, though she didn't start making them straight away, she simply thought of them in her head, and when the right time came, she could make them and give the flowers to the three of them. Her mind was racing with more than a few options of what she could do until Liberty King had started speaking. Chikage was interested in what the principal was saying, but when the other heroes had materialized from what looked like thin air to her, she thought over why they'd be here until she heard about the badges. While she was a bit stunned that she wasn't mentioned in the group of people that were getting a blue badge, her eyes widened when she listened to Liberty King say her name and that it belonged to the group of people who had gotten the red badge, including her two teammates that she grew fond of, not forgetting Chisuke, either. Her expression, for just a split second, was one of worry, but as suddenly it came, it went just as soon, switched to something more neutral. She came up onto the stage to get her badge from a hero she respected, not that she doesn't appreciate all heroes, the one she looked up to most was Mark 7, to whom she bowed her head deeply to, as well as the other heroes. As Chikage was about to go back to her seat, she recognized the bright hair that belonged to her teammate, Haruka. She wanted to approach her but saw the other two she was with and contemplated whether or not she should go there, but she decided not to. Instead, she wandered off to find Prince, and when she did, she had started making her way to him. Chikage hadn't realised yet that that same neutral and cold expression that was on her face earlier was still on as she was approaching, the rather big to her, Prince. Only when she was close enough to him, a soft smile could be seen on her lips as she waved to him.

"Hoshi, I told you not to touch me. That's two strikes. Platinum blonde, mind your own business. I'm tired of pulling his share of the work all the time. He needs to grow some goddamn balls and learn how to use his quirk properly. Rather than asking me to get a blue badge, he needs to earn a red badge. This is the only way to get through his stubborn skull."

Yasu Hirano
Location: Town
Yasu was used to fighting with Kazue. But this was different. They had always been the only ones truly there for each other. He wasn't sure what had changed. As he ran no destination in mind he couldn't help but think about the day they'd first met.

...

He was 6 at the time. His mom came home late again, but for once she wasn't angry at him, in fact, she was smiling, something that normally only happened when she won at the casino. She explained to him that he was going to go live with another family. A man in a limousine was outside, and his mum put him in the car, buckled his belt and said bye. That was the last time he'd seen his birth mother. The limousine drove him to a house bigger than he'd ever seen, where he met his dad for the first time. "I'm happy to finally meet you Yasu. From this day onwards you are my son." the man rubbed Yasu's head, and then left. Yasu didn't see him again for over a month. Not long after he met his half-sister for the first time. "Hi I'm Yas-" he started to introduce himself but was interrupted by

**PUNCH**

He was instantly knocked unconscious. He woke up in the hospital the next day. "THAT BITCH! I just said hello and she punched me! When I see her again I'm gonna get even!" Yasu had felt lots of things before. Useless, purposeless, like his whole existence, was just an inconvenience. But he'd never angry like this before.

When he next met Kazue, he was hospitalized again. And again. And again. Until eventually Kazue got tired of sending him flying and they started talking. Kazue hated him because her quirk had taken after her mother's, and their dad brought his illegitimate child Yasu into the family because he had inherited the family quirk, and intended to make him his heir. They quickly bonded over their dislike of their shared father and started plotting how best to get back at him.

...

Back in the present, Yasu had gotten lost, in both reality and his thoughts. Was he really that useless? Sure he didn't have a powerful offensive type quirk like Kazue but still... He shouted two a couple of passing youths a bit older than himself, activating his quirk. "Hey, assholes! If you were anymore inbred you'd be sandwiches!"

The youths couldn't help but be overcome by rage, punched Yasu to the ground and dragged him into an alley, where they continued to kick him.
'I guess I am useless.' Yasu thought to himself as he assumed the fetal position to try and shield against the attacks.
*CRACK, SNAP, SQUISH... SPLAT*
"You okay kid?" A man said in a raspy voice, giving Yasu a hand to his feet.
Gyro.jpg
The man wore a lot of clothes. Thick trousers, and a padded hoodie. His face was covered by a sick mask, but it did nothing to cover his inhuman yellow milky eyes, or the insect mandibles poking out of either side of his mask.
"What happened to those guys?"
"Oh them? Don't worry, I scared them off with my quirk." the man lied.
"You must have a pretty good quirk then huh."
"Nah, my quirks pretty lame normally. But I have a little trick."
"A trick?"
"Yeah." The man pulled a syringe out of his coat. "One dose of this stuff and you're unstoppable."
"D-doping?! Isn't that illegal."
"Well yeah. But think about it this way. Is murder illegal? What about when at war or in self-defence? Nothing can be generalized as good or evil. It all depends on the circumstance. If I hadn't used it just now, you and me, we'd would probably both be in a hospital right now. My bones break real easy. Now, why don't you tell me what happened here?"

...

"So you're insecure about your quirk huh? Well, if it's for hero work... Take it." He said tossing Yasu the syringe. "Use it to do well in school. Oh, and here's my phone number. My name is Kafka by the way. Just give me a call if you ever need more." He said, before walking away.
Yasu starred at the syringe in his hand. "Th-thanks!" he shouted after Kafka, who lazily waved back at him without turning around.

Haruka keeps her gaze on Kazue "There your family. Above all that comes first, you don't need to carry them but you don't need to crush them either" she gives a few moments as she looks to the red star for a moment "Also given there a fellow student I do count it as my business regardless" she then takes a moment to look to Hoshi with a faint sight "These Stars? They mean less than nothing other than how the school views a student. If the only thing you motivated by is chasing these? then your already a step behind, and I'm not about to sacrifice who I am chasing a few shiny perks" she allows the item to drop to the ground for emphasis, it was clear by her firm tone that she was serious and the more she heard of these stars and how they had people acting already the more she disliked the idea of them.

Still, they have introduced themselves so it was only right she do the same in turn "I'm Haruka"

The day the letter arrived Harry had been lying on his bed playing a virtual reality game. He had been playing games more and more during his free time, as his sister had moved out to join a hero agency in another city. In the late afternoon his father, returning home from work, tossed him the letter. He had been accepted into the prestigious school and his sister visited in her free time for another celebration.

On the first day, Harry dressed in a long-sleeved white button-up shirt and slacks; in lieu of a jacket this time he wore a sling to keep his arm in. On the bus trip to the school, Harry had found the shirt to be rather uncomfortably tight, resulting in more and more buttons being undone, his pecs were practically falling out of the shirt but the sling helped in keeping it on. This owed to him having grown a little during the break and owing to his interactions with the fiery Aoi and the incredible Hatsu, a desire to increase his muscle mass.

Harry took his seat at the entrance exam; trying his best to spot any of his previous teammates but failing. Like most of the student body, he applauded (hand on chest) as the pro heroes were introduced, Summer’s hair was as luscious in person as it was on the tv. Harry listened but didn’t particularly care, as the truth of the badges was explained to them. He didn’t live that far and so the student accommodation didn’t really affect him as he would be staying at his current home.

Harry craned his neck as he heard Aoi called, though from his spot he couldn’t make her out clearly as she walked up to Mark 7 to receive her Blue badge. When his own name was called, he jovially strode up the stairs towards the hero Summer, beaming at her with a charming grin.

“A gold badge is nothing when compared to your golden presence,” Harry added, kissing his badge before turning and making his way towards the first one he’d spoken to on arrival at Alderaan.

“Aoi! We’re together once again! Though personally, a red badge would be a much more fitting representation of the red string of fate that binds us, but this just means we can work together to improve!” He boomed to the raven-haired girl.

After that Harry applauded again, as best he could, as the other members of their team received their badges. Particularly for Hatsu who got her much-deserved Red badge. He paid the commotion between the twins no mind, he was partly distracted by Summer still. Lastly, he applauded the only Gold badge given.

“Wow, like father like son hey?” He said to Aoi.

CHISUKE
When Prince waved back Chisuke couldn't help but smile. Despite being in the lowest tier house, he really was proud of his friend for getting in. He looked around and saw that his other teammates had gotten in as well. That also made him happy. They had really given their all during the exam; he was now glad he'd taken all those punches for them. Though now He worried that he and Prince would be in different dorms now, that kinda sucked. But Chisuke would just have to wait and see.

HINATA
When Hinata first got the letter that accepted their enrollment, the first thing they did was show their mother. She, of course, had she'd tears of pride. She knew how much judgment Hinata had gone through whenever they told people they wanted to be a hero. Hinata rementered those times too and, as such, was even happier to have succeeded through their exams. Of course, he knew that this was just the first step; things were only going to get harder from here. But they were ready for this.

During the ceremony Hinata was happy to have gotten a blue badge, even if others didn't seem as thrilled. The way they saw it, enrollment was still enrollment. After taking their badge from Summer, Hinata figured they'd try and start the friend making process. So they approached two students who already seemed to know each other. "Congrats," they said in a voice that made it impossible to tell whether they were make or female, "you guys must be as excited as I am. We're going to be heroes"

Prince had noticed Chikage before she noticed him, his vision in the cameras from earlier. He turned in her direction and waved back, a friendly smile on his face as he regarded his former teammate. He slipped the red badge into his pocket, unconcerned with having to pin it on. He didn't really care, maybe even regarding it with a little distaste as the colors would probably keep Chisuke and Prince in different dorms.

Yeah, I don't like that idea.

He shook away the thought as Chikage was now within talking range and greeted her with a rather silly 'Heeeyyyy~!' The male tousled his own hair before looking back at the other two from his team. "Ya wanna go find the others? You seem rather giddy to meet them."

morspoeta morspoeta

Chikage was almost convinced that she'd need to cover her ears in order to be around the ever so energetic Prince, but she didn't. Instead of saying something, she simply waved her rather small hand and nodded her head hastily with great enthusiasm when he had mentioned finding the others. Describing the way she was feeling as of now with the word 'giddy' would be almost right, but the excitement that has been and is bubbling inside her cannot be put into proper words as she was brimming with cheerfulness, unlike any other time.

After she had settled down from her outburst of energy, she started scanning the crowd, and in no more than a few seconds, she had found the white-haired boy, wanting to call out for him, but holding herself back, instead, she grew a white rose and waved it in the air, hopefully, to get his attention without needing to talk, however, she only then realised that Chisuke would probably not understand why there was a white rose, so she gave the flower to the pink-haired fellow with a finger held up, implying to hold it for a second, bent down, made a vine long enough to reach the other teammate, and got it, the vine, to slither under the chairs and wrap around his leg. With that being done, she stood up, took the flower back from Prince with a fast bow of her head and started to wave the rose again.

Aoi Kokegoke

Alderaan Academy

There was this unusual feeling about the place, definitely not pleasant. One which made Aoi shiver with all kinds of disgust. She looked left, then right, but nothing stood out as the perpetrator until a familiar face appeared in the crowd. The presence of Harry, and the fact he noticed Aoi, who clearly did her best not to stand out, explained why she felt like she had been being watched. She sighed and turned her face away, leaning deeper onto the wall behind her, doing her best to sink into the concrete and escape, but alas, none such thing happened.
“Shut up.” She said in monotone, too tired to muster any kind of violent outburst. Not that it would have an effect as the guy clearly didn’t care about the abuse. “Are you a masochist, sadist? You always spew this kind of bullshit to me and you know it pisses me off.” She raised an eyebrow to question him. “Anyway, I’m in a sour mood right now, so don’t expect me to indulge in your fantasies.” It’s best to just ignore him. Maybe then he’ll leave me alone. Aoi thought, but one thing needed to be said to rub salt into Harry’s fresh wound. “Must feel really proud to be in the same group as a quirkless girl, huh?”

The decision about King’s son promotion seemed so wrong that it was to be expected. “Nepotism, Harry. You heard of it? I probably could take him on. Probably even yo-” She didn’t finish, as a shadow in her left corner made her shift her attention. It took Aoi a while of idle looking at the skeleton to start being surprised by the Burtonesque situation they’ve found themselves in. “EEK!” She backed off. “What the hell! A skeleton! That’s gross…” Aoi calmed down a bit, but her hands were still on guard in case the wicked creature would try to eat her brain. Or maybe was she confusing it with another undead creature?

Hoshi Hayashi

Alderaan Academy

His hand backed away. “You’re only making me more interested. What happens at the third strike? Do I get a prize?” He grinned and once again shifted his attention to a newfound friend. His grin widened with each word she said, and once she was finished one could draw a beautiful banana using Hoshi’s lips as an example.
“Dear Haruka, it seems you’re the one that’s behind.” He pointed his finger at her playfully. “Romanticising hero work is a detriment. A hero is only as good as their reputation.” He brushed his hair back. “It’s better if your public image is better than your skill, not the other way around. Sure, you can get stubborn and not care about all that, but we’ll see how much you earn with that mindset. Heroes gotta eat too.” I could really go for some mochi right now. He thought as the subject of food came.

Harry gave a hearty laugh in response to Aoi's line about masochism.
"I wish I was a masochist, that would've made my childhood so much easier," he responded jovially.
He didn't feel the need to respond to her line about being in the same class as a quirkless girl. He would have responded to her line about nepotism had the skeleton suddenly appeared beside them. Aoi gave a very uncharacteristic shriek.
"Now that's rude Aoi, people come in all shapes and forms nowadays," Harry reprimanded her before turning to the skeleton and holding out his hand.
"Hi there, congrats to you too. I hope we can have a good year," Harry replied to the skeleton.

CHISUKE

Chisuke was sitting there, waiting for the ceremony to end, and silently planning out his dorm room in his head. He was making multiple plans that would fit any room; no matter the size or the possibility of having a roommate. Chisuke was halfway through one particular plan when he felt a vine wrap around his leg. For a moment he looked down at it curiously, quickly realising it was from Chikage. Looking up, he spotted the white rose and confirmed his suspicions. And since the ceremony was almost over, there was no in going over to say hello.

Chisuke gently unwrapped his leg from the vine and followed it over to Prince and Chikage. "So it seems I was right, both of you got into the second highest house while I got placed in the bottom," he stated clearly, not complaining but rather just stating a fact. "Of course that is my fault alone, perhaps I would have joined you guys if I used my quirk. But either way, congratulations both of you"

HINATA
Hinata wasn't surprised when Aoi reacted the way she did; freaking out, calling them gross, and acting like they might attack. It was something they'd gone through many times. They didn't mind. Actually they could understand why others freaked out. Sure there were a lot of different mutation quirks out there, but seeing a creature without skin or muscle was still a very unsettling sight. Hell, if the quirk wasn't theirs, they'd probably freak out a little too after seeing a walking talking skeleton.

Hinata took the guys hand and nodded, "i hope so too," they said politely, "and it's cool, I don't consider that rude. After all most people just can't seem to comprehend such a superior being," they chuckled. If it had come out of Harry's mouth it might have sounded like a flirty boast, but Hinata's tone and cadence made it clear that they were just joking; attempting to show they meant no harm. "I'm Hinata by the way, nice to meet you"
