Dark Messiah Form

BLACKJACK!
Dark Messiah Form eliminates multiple-action penalties for the first (Martial Arts ÷ 2, rounded up) actions in a flurry.
Does this ignore flurry DV penalties or is it just limited to dice pool penalties?

Thanks

For six motes, I'd say that it counts toward dodge as well.

But only if that dodge is during the flurry.

But dodging is an action.
Only in First Edition, which this is not.

DM is more powerful than most other Celestial styles as far as raw combat. Bending the rules for it is just disgusting.

when you make a flurry isn't there a multiple action penalty to your DV equal to the total number of attacks you make.

the key word in the quoted text would seem to be 'for'. any multi action penalty caused by the first (Martial Arts ÷ 2, rounded up) actions is negated, with no limitation on what those penalty's may have applied to.

thus the wording of DMF would seem to have this calculated as if you took MA/2 less actions in the flurry.

The DV penalty have nothing to do with the flurry, it is a penalty related to the action in the flurry you are performing. So It only applies to the dice penalty for taking multiple actions.

yes, having rechecked the section on flurry's (Exalted 2ed p 143) you are absolutely correct and i was under a misconception about the interaction of flurry's and DV. my apologies for the error.
