OOC
Here
The colonel is commanding the regiment not the magos. It states what the magos commands.
Fir the love of the machine god s magos would not be attached to an imperial guard unit and if from their firge world they would command the skitarii because they are the magos

hellguns galore, stalk tanks, weird (but fancy) guns good lord

So Karcen is correct, the Mechanicum during this period of time is an independent empire within the Imperium of Man as a whole. The Adeptus Mechanicus does not get created until after the end of the Great Crusade, with some roots set during it. During this time period, human worlds are independent unless conquered by the Imperium of Man, or united under minor stellar nations that in turn are conquered by the Imperium during the Great Crusade. Forge Worlds are part of the Mechanicum, one such Empire within the greater Imperium of Man, but where other empires are conquered and subsumed, the Mechanicum became an integral part of the Imperium.

Most worlds outside of the Imperium would not have any ties with Forge Worlds, unless the Forge World decided to get warmongery and start conquering planets, and there would certainly not be an Imperial Army regiment raised in service of a Forge World. Karcen is correct, any armed forces that serve a Forge World would be Skitarii. The Imperium of Man is conquering the galaxy in the name of the Imperial Truth, an atheistic religion, so an Imperial Army force that worships the Machine God would go against that belief system. The Mechanicum is allowed to worship their deity because they are granted special privilege's of independence to ensure the Imperium of Man maintains access to the weapons, ships and Titans they provide. They maintain this separation, so while a Magos might be seconded to a regiment to assist its technology, they would not hold any rank or position beyond a technical role.

In conclusion, the Imperial Army regiment should not be, in any way shape or form, directly connected with a Forge World, or influenced by a Magos. It will be fine to have a Magos assisting a regiment, but they would not command forces that are not Skitarii, and Imperial Army units and Skitarii units would not be directly side by side in most circumstances anyway. I would recommend either full conversion to a Skitarii force, or remove any mention of the Magos. After doing my own research, I will say a Psyker Magos is workable, but it will be watched very carefully to avoid overreaching and overstepping ability.

If you have further questions about Skitarii, feel free to message me. It is not my realm of specialty but I can do some research and hopefully answer any questions.

oh yeah lemme fix that. I originally made all of this for 40k

Name: Captain Rollan Lias
Race: Legiones Astartes
Homeworld: Hranx
Allegiance: Alpha Legion (XX)

Equipment: Mark IV power armor, Ikanos pattern bolt pistol, lightning claw, krak grenades

Military Forces: Commands the 5th Harrow of the Alpha Legion’s 4th Host (roughly a 100 Astartes). His force’s base of operations is the Legiones Astartes Strike Cruiser Rho-Mimikos, which, along with Captain Lias’s Harrow, houses a mortal crew.

In addition, the Rho-Mimikos has been assigned two Gladius Class Frigate escort starships: the Beta-Terat and the San-Sauro. Each escort has a mortal crew and one squad of XXth Legion Space Marines.

Current (known) Activities: Captain Lias has been helping defend the compliant worlds scattered throughout the Delios Expanse — located within the Segmentum Tempestus — from a newly emerged Ork menace. Imperial reports suggest the Orks appear to be organized and operating as marauders, and are of moderate (not planet threatening) strength. More investigation is required.

*The 823th Expeditionary Fleet, under Lord Commander Irayas Nornan, has been operating in the Delios Expanse for quite some time, without a Legion attachment, in an effort to bring all of the worlds within the Expanse into the fold of the Imperium.

Character History: Early in his career with the XXth, Rollan Lias briefly served in one of the Legion’s Devastator squads. There was never a moment when he believed being a member of heavy weapons team was his true calling, but he performed admirably with the Devastators just the same. Later, because of his talent and enthusiasm for close combat, he was transferred to an Assault squad, which proved a much better fit. Later still he attained the rank of sergeant of said Assault squad. And eventually, when the former captain of his Harrow was mortally wounded in battle, Rollan was tapped to replace him. Truthfully, he was the second choice for the captaincy. The first choice — another, more respected and accomplished sergeant — declined the opportunity to command a Harrow, and instead joined the ranks of the elite Lernaean Terminators.

Strengths: patient, high understanding of human nature, easily imagines creative solutions to problems.

Limitations: overly cautious for a Space Marine, especially in void war; reticent with brother Legionaries; obsessed with correcting his mistakes; often troubled by the the thought of what sort of death (good, bad, ugly) will eventually meet up with him.

Name: Jeremias van der Kork, [REDACTED] Enos "Nightcrawler" Rokar

Race: Human

Homeworld: Terra

Allegiance: Remembrancer Order, [REDACTED] Order Elucidatum

Military Forces: None. He is a civilian. [REDACTED] Secretively serving Malcador the Sigilite, he is one of numerous covert operatives credentialed to be amidst space marines. His force to bear is but a gadfly on a horse's belly; an annoyance merely tolerated by those appointed with his charge. However, Rokar remains an extension of Terra's vast clandestine power which calls upon saboteurs, spies, assassins and other specialized servants of the Emperor from across the galaxy.

Psychic Abilities: None. [REDACTED] Illusionist abilities including nightshroud, which conceals his silhouette in dark rooms so as to go unnoticed.

Equipment: None. Only what he uses to sculpt works of art. [REDACTED] Two thin blades made from blackened steel and dipped in a lethal fauna-based poison.

Historical Information: Jeremias' official record describes a privileged life as a venerable sculptor in line with the ancients Praxiteles and Michelangelo. His patrons include commission busts for imperial officers and members of the Administorum. Somehow, someway his works have entered the public eye, although very few civilians are mentioned in his portfolio. A few noted blip entries include a list of works. Inamorata depicts a buxom abhuman female hammering a piece of armaplas over a forge. Critics exclaim, "Van der Kork's brilliant handiwork conjures a retelling of Rosie the Riveter in vivid detail. Blood, sweat, diversity. A truly sober depiction."

These scant stories seem to have fast-tracked him into the Remembrancer Order. Perhaps the Emperor seeks "sober" eyes on mankind's journey to claim the stars. Whatever the case, it is no matter. If there is a face, a body or place, Jeremias will sculpt it into a living statue.

[REDACTED]

In actuality he comes from a hive city overrun by powerful gangs. Various agitators and punks sought Rokar's services as an information gatherer, which evolved into enforcer and eventually assassination-type assignments. Eventually he was able to broker his way out of the slums and into imperial service. Contracts came and went, bounties paid, and word eventually reached higher echelons. Top brass mulled over his vague profile, codenamed "Nightcrawler" and saw the kills. That was enough to ensure a place on Malcador's list of activated assets.

I will make sure my doors are locked at night, good to go.

CommanderNecro CommanderNecro I will give you the go ahead for now, but keep in mind more changes may have to be made to further fit the setting.

Name: Captain Axelios Raef, Captain of the 29th Company of the Blood Angels

Race: Astartes

Homeworld: Baal Secundus

Allegiance: Blood Angels Legion, Imperium of Man

Military Forces: Axelios commands the 44th Expeditionary Fleet in the name of the Great Angel and the Imperium of Man. The 44th contains four companies of Blood Angel legionaries numbering near six hundred warriors. Two regiments of Imperial Army reserves are attached to the 44th to act as support elements and a defensive force for taken territory. The fleet is centered around the Battle-Barge Crimson Bastion, and supported by a further four Strike-Cruisers, three Cruiser class vessels of the Imperial Army, and thirty five assorted escort ships.

Psychic Abilities: Axelios has no Psychic abilities.

Equipment: Axelios goes into battle armed with a bolt pistol gifted to him by his former commanding officer before his death in battle. Additionally, he makes use of a power axe as his preferred melee weapon, crafted by his own hand after an extended deployment alongside Salamander Legion elements. He makes use of Mark IV Maximus power armor painted in the crimson of the Blood Angels.

Historical Information: Axelios was born on the irradiated moon of Baal Secundus, orbiting the world of Baal. Growing up in the vaults that sheltered the people of Baal Secundus, Axelios was just a child when the warriors brought the strange angelic child back from the wasteland. Axelios watched the being that would be known as Sanguinius grow. When the Great Angel would eventually depart on his crusade to purge Baal Secundus of the mutants and reclaim it for mankind, Axelios was one of the first volunteers to join. He fought alongside Sanguinius across the moon through the conquest, and in time, when the Baal system was reunified with the rest of the Imperium, Axelios was one of the first Baal born recruits to be inducted into the IX legion. Axelios would rise through the ranks of the Blood Angels, and in time, eventually become Captain of the 29th Company following his predecessors death. With the ever growing demands of the Great Crusade, a new Expeditionary Fleet was created and the Blood Angels were requested to provide a detachment of warriors to take the lead within this new force. Axelios was nominated by the 300 Companies, and Sanguinius approved the posting. He has since led the 44th Expeditionary Fleet in three compliance campaigns, and now turns his attention, and that of his forces, to a new Imperial distress call.
