Bio:


Nathan never saw his father seeing as he was imprisoned and placed on death row for drug, dealings, assault, kidnapping, murder blah de blah. So he just lived with his mother doing what he could to make sure he helped her. His family belong to a long line of shifters and he was no exception. Nathan was a lot like his father and always ended up doing something illegal or getting into trouble (though he was rarely caught).


He kept the good boy façade on for his mother and stayed in school, studing to become a doctor, which is back breaking work and the amount of money he needed was astounding. He never would ask his mother for help so he delivered drugs and did a few other things to keep up with the bills and make sure he wasn't baggage to his mother. He usually stuck to delivering drugs and things of that caliber.


On one of his drug runs things went south and he was forced to kill a few witnesses and hide there bodies. Since he was training to be a doctor doing this sort of thing didn't really bother him. In fact he wanted to use the bodies, but decided it may not be the best idea. After this incident he went to visit his mother who was waiting for death in a hospital since she had a large tumor in her head that couldn't be removed. He did everything he could, but later that day she passed and even though he had been ready for this he was still hurt over it.


He kept working to be a doctor and still helps with drug runs and such when he has a chance. Even though he felt distraught over his mothers death he honestly doesn't feel a thing for the people he murdered, after all when you are a doctor, sooner or later you will kill someone.

Personality

Eri's a person that most wouldn't want to be around. She has a natural dislike for most living beings, finding fun in seeing the day-to-day pitiful moments of others. Most see her as always pissed off, though she's almost never actually pissed off, just letting her dislike of others show. Pissing her off is quite a difficult task, though even if it were easy, nobody would want to try pissing her off due to how violent she can get. Those who try to hurt her usually wind up with a bloody nose or worse, and then anybody who tries to hurt her younger sister Julie end up half-dead.

Eri

Bio

Despite how she ended up, Eri had quite the lovely and peaceful life growing up. She was spoiled by her mother and father, though she was also taught proper manners, as well as everything else one would need to know in order to become a proper lady. She was raised so well that one might've mistaken her for some sort of princess up until the shift in her personality. Day after day, the most beautiful of clothing, the most well-kept hair, and the kindest heart; Eri seemed to be enjoying her life, though one might assume she hated it by her change. Despite the change, Eri somewhat regrets having not kept the life she loved.

At fourteen was when she changed. It started with an accident, though the fact of it being an accident could quite well be doubted at this point. Eri had accidentally broken the new chandelier her mother had bought, though her mother had immediately forgiven Eri, more worried Eri had been hurt by the glass. Eri said she was fine, though she'd actually been cut by the glass and hidden the injury. Eri, having been in an oddly bad mood, locked herself in her room for the night. She was actually quite pleased with herself, having intentionally broken the chandelier, as well as injured herself for the first actual injury she'd ever attained.

After that, things just got worse and worse. Eri's first step after the injury was quite a bit violent. Having had a nice shiver down her spine from the decent cut on the back of her shoulder, she wanted to experience more of that odd sensation. A fight happened in an alleyway quite far from Eri's home, Eri herself the one to start it. When she went home, her mother was quite worried over the girl covered in bruises and dirt, though the no longer pure Eri almost pushed her mother away. Before locking herself up in her room, her exact words to her mother were "Just leave me the hell alone..."




The days of Eri's hatred towards the world began at that moment, declaring to herself she'd never be the innocent and pure girl she once was. She deemed almost the whole world rotten for feigning innocence and purity just as she had once been tricked into playing as, deciding that the only way to get through the rotten world was to become as rotten as it. Eri got in numerous fights with people, eventually becoming an expert when it came to fighting the other filthy and rotten people of the world. She eventually became feared for how violent and strong she was. Topping it off was a demonic aura, which lead to rumors about her being a demon, being possessed by a demon, or under the influence or manipulation of something worse than a demon.

Soul Snatch

Eri's capable of basic-level Soul Snatch magic. Affixing a small soul is a simple task for her, though it can sometimes be a bit tiring. Generally she's required to have her teacher around as she practices for safety measures, though so far she's been doing well. Her reason for learning Soul Snatch is a mystery to most, though she has told her teacher the most of it. Eri wishes to master Soul Snatch in order to affix a specific soul, for a good reason. She hasn't exactly told the reason, but her teacher trusts that she has a proper reason.

Beast Soul

Beast Soul is the other half of Soul Magic Eri's learning. She's quite confident in her normal strength with a giant sword, though this is for when she's extremely pissed. Eri picked this one up on her own at first, though rather unintentionally. The person teaching her Soul Snatch is also the one assisting her with Beast Soul, the reason she's gotten as far as she has with it without much harm to herself. She can last Beast Soul for quite a bit, though it's extremely draining on her to the point she's down for anywhere between hours and weeks once she reaches exhaustion, and she has absolutely no control over her actions. The only exception to the control is if she forces herself really hard to transform back, but it's more draining and dangerous to forcefully transform back than it is to let herself naturally wear out.

Activation

Eri has a rather unique way of activating her magic. Her sword is engraved with various rune markings spanning the entirety of the blade, one set on each side of the sword. This is how she generally activates her magic, through engraving a specific circular formation on the ground with her sword, a circle that's layered on the inside by overlapping rune markings. As complex as it may sounds, it takes her just seconds to engrave it. Activating it on the other hand, may take a long time based on various factors. Eri can also activate her magic through spoken word, though this takes a little longer for her to do.

And I know how you feel xD it's alright, you have my word that your character won't deviate from her original framework. All I'm really worried about is whether or not that way of activating her magic is alright, the whole rune-marked sword and all that. I discussed the Soul Snatch and Beast Soul magic with Zaffre and Wolf already, and I'm positive that everything else is quite acceptable. I might be wrong though, but I'm confident in this character (which is actually quite rare for me... o-o)

Love the CS and I am very pleased someone actually READ the lore. But just one thing, a 19 year old without a job is just asking to live on the streets. She needs a form of pay in order to pay rent/taxes to live somewhere. Also so when blood tests roll around (usually at the start of a school year) she A. Doesn't look suspicious and B. Can pay someone to hide what she is for the duration of that test. Other than that it's fine And in a way, she reminds me of the Thalmor from The Elder Scrolls, racist bastards...
 
She lives at her parent's house, since she has a little sister she's looking after. As for a job, does winning money in an underground ring by beating up idiots drunks and thugs count as a job?

Gambling can be risky, you can't just be a bad ass and destroy everyone you fight. Also her beast magic has no effect on her in human form. And fey aren't built for muscle, they tend to be scholars and bookworms and of the like because of their increased intellectual capacity

I know I know, she really just does it for her own enjoyment. As for the beast magic, I also know that.


Regarding the way fey are built, I still think she'd be capable of a lot in combat given enough physical training. If I'm wrong, do forgive me :c

Then she would have to be working at is constantly. But if she doesn't like people in general then how would physical training go? She would need to train herself.
 
She doesn't like most people. Clearly she likes her teacher, given she lets them teach her. That'd be where she'd get her physical training at. I'd rather not be the cause of an argument or anything though, so I'll just stop here if you want me to .-.
 
Ah, if you really think it'd be good to give her a job, then I'm glad to listen to any suggestions, maybe come up with something myself if I can.
