D&D?

For a while now I've been looking for some way to use the power of the internet to get a D&D campaign started and it just hit me, what better place to try other than RpNation.

So I want to know if anybody would be interested in the idea of making a character and adventuring D&D style using the D&D rules and conventions (4 edition most likely for those who care).

Ofcourse people who don't know anything about D&D can participate as if it were a standard fantasy adventure roleplay, the D&D aspect of it would be just to provide a framework for the action to happen in.

If we do this it would allow for for a strong experience point/leveling up system that I've seen people ask around about here and there aswell as a strong race/class system.

I have almost all of the books so accomodating people new to D&D (or the version) or people who don't have the books in their posession will be no problem at all.

I support this message. If you go through with this idea. I will make it my mission to find the full version of the books online. Dungeons and Dragons is thee official and best RP ever. No joke. And it gives the variety to be free and do as you please. Though you can die, which sucks, but it happens.

What would you do for a dice system though? or would you even use it at all?

Ofcourse i would use dice! That really is what makes combat in D&D feel as natural and appropriate as it does. What would happen for dice rolls is I would end up rolling it myself or using an online random number generator. I think the D&D webpage has its own random dice roller page, if I'm not mistaken, I might use that.

D&D Hellz to the yah!!!!

This better me legit!

i have never played d&d but i think kaine would help me understand this.

I want Ace to install a dice system into the forum if we do this...

I've done some forum based dice RPGs before...

I love D&D but like Sui I think that if we are to do this we should have a dice system in the actual site, that way people cant tip the scales at all. But Yea like I said D&D would be great(I'm a DM myself)

I've never played D&D online before, it'd be interesting for sure ^^

I just hope our DM doesn't decide to be a **** >< (Coro and Saturday should know what I'm talking about)

Now I know I haven't exactly been very active lately, but I'm trying to get online more right now, so if my vote counts, I'd say yes ^^'

Well to keep people from cheating I thought of just having the DM make the rolls and say what happens (hit, miss, pass, fail, etc etc) and then the players describe out how it happens.

yeah that sounds good. Most public dm matches done with a pro master he rolls everything. Privates like to be fun so the players roll. And i personally trust rex to roll. He is a fair person :3

Well I'm up for this... the closest thing to DnD I ever played were Heroes Tales Played with Dice for the stat system, so I really wanna play this ^^

Though I do admit I'd like to do my rolls despite them always being the opposite of what I truly want (Come on!! HIT'EM!!... *miss* dammit >.>) xD

But yeah if one person rolls for everyone it's fair ^^

*Referring to Kyle*

D20 GO!! *smack* xD

Bobby's character would've survived that with straight sixes ^^

If anyone ever decided to heal him back to full hp that is ^^'
