D&D Adventurer's League

Thorn Darkblade

I know lots of things. Lots of things...
Running an unofficial D&D 5th Ed Adventurer's League. Looking for 5 players to start off the first adventure. If it goes well, it will open up to more players, and potentially more DM's as well. If there's any questions, feel free to ask them here, otherwise, post interest, race, class, concept, etc.

UPDATE!!!!

First adventure for testing this is FULL!!! However, you can still sign up, make a character, and play in future adventures in the League!!!!

Basic Rules can be found here.

Adventurer's League rules can be found here, but disregard all the public play/DCI number requirements.

Players:

1. @Aur0ra (Rogue)

2. @Agent of Evil (Fighter)

3. @Orikanyo (Paladin)

4. @RazHopeHeart (Bard or Warlock)

5. @Deadkool (Bard)

While I have all the books required, players handbook, sword coast adventures, I can use this material yes?

Also this seems quite interesting, are we simply playing the game as per usual or is there more handiwork involved? Aside from what seems to be faction connections.

Yup, all official sources are allowed, but anything not from the Basic or PHB, run by me first, the League has some rules on a few things (like, wings for tieflings in Sword Coast are a cosmetic option only, no flight speed).

The only other real handiwork is there's more of a focus on downtime activities (downtime days is one of the rewards you get for adventures), and also, upkeeping multiple characters should you wish when this thing grows. If it gets big enough and stays steady, I'm gonna try to switch it to a hosted project, with multiple adventures running.

Sounds cool, allow folks to keep what they have and build upon it.

Ah yes, the famed flying tieflings, sure it's useful but I always got on fine without it. Besides, only useful if you are a warlock with eldritch spear or you are still in bow range.

I'll get to playing around with the sheet then.

Oh dear that's the question isn't it? What are you. A amazing question with just as many answers as a porkypine has quills.

I, shall rise as a warrior of light and mercy, a paladin. But of course I must choose a god, or goddess, in that case I am abit at a stand still...

Do you know of any sources that go into the gods and goddesses of faerun?

Thanks, new our the great mess of numbers of em but was looking for this, a good catalogue of them all.

Honestly reading up on deities it's fun now and then, found it really fun in pathfinder, mainly Sheylin my once and forever favorite TTRPG goddess, she's pretty much everyone's pretty, cheerful loving little sister~!

That said I'll probably try to find one on the same lines of her.

Also, intimate knowledge of Forgotten Realms isn't needed (in fact, I don't have a whole lot). The adventures themselves will introduce bits of lore to experienced and new players alike.

I've diddled about in balduers gate and neverwinter nights(1/2) to know abit. Probably know neverwinter top to bottom by now.

Regardless we shall see how things go, I've known myself to float a lot of character ideas about at a time.

To anyone else still interested, by all means, sign up! The first adventure is filled, but, if it's successful and this grows into a hosted project, there will be many more slots opening!!!!

I've never played D&D, but always wanted to get into it!

Would you also take a completly new player if you host a future adventure?

@Somnium all player experience levels are welcome!!! Current session is full, but you can still make a character and have it ready in advance!!!

Ok, Thorn. I'm interested.

Also, what setting stuff are we using?

Forgotten Realms, specifically Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide and stuff from the prewrit adventures, but, you do not need to know a lot about the setting to play. Also, current adventure is full up, but, when I petition to expand this to a hosted project, there'll be more running, so, you can totally still make a character if you want

definitly could use one, running low on WSP
