      She is always trying to take care of the people around her but in doing so Kanao sometimes forgets to take care of herself as well. Kanao listens to her heart and her actions are ruled by her desire to lend a hand rather than what she would get out of the situation by helping. Her caring nature knows no bounds and she holds a place for everyone in her heart.
      
      When given the task of helping someone, she gives them a shoulder to lean on, an ear to talk to, and a voice to comfort them. Kanao is open-minded and tries to look for the good things in life rather than focusing on the bad. She is not one for giving up until she's given it her all and even then she's very hard-pressed to quit. But life is a double-edged sword. At times her caring nature leads her to trouble with people who do not want to be helped and there is also a possibility of someone exploiting her kind nature to manipulate her.
      
      While she strives to be someone that anyone can come and talk to about their problems or be a shoulder for someone to cry on, one of Kanao's flaws is that she is definitely a 'suffer in silence' type of individual. She will bottle all of her negative emotions up and avoid them until she eventually feels over-whelmed by everything and ends up breaking down crying.

      what used to be

      Kanao lived a relatively happy life, surrounded by her siblings and her parents. Though her father was often away at work, he still made sure to make time for his children when he could. Though she wasn't as close with her mother like she was with her father, Kanao loved spending time with her mother all the same. Though she didn't have any talent for playing the piano despite her mothers best attempts at teaching her, Kanao loved sitting next to her mother on the bench and listening to her play when she had her hearing aids in. In the warmer months their mother would take all the siblings on outings, sometimes picnics in the park or a trip to the beach.
      
      Those days were filled with laughter and joy and are memories that Kanao looks back at with fondness and longing.
      
      

      when everything changed

      Everything had been perfect, until one day when Kanao was eleven and their mother had left her and Asuna in charge while she ran to pick some things up from the store. The children had been down in the basement, Asuna and their brother having fallen asleep while Kanao was quietly reading a book. A candle they had forgotten about and left burning in the kitchen tipped over and caught a dish-rag on fire. Kanao had taken her hearing aids out at the time and didn't hear the fire alarm go off. By the time her siblings had woken up and realized what had happened, smoke had already begun filling the basement. The basement door, their only escape was quickly blocked by flames, leaving the children trapped in the basement.

      Everything changed.
      
      She lost both of her parents that day: Her mother died and it broke her father, causing him to withdraw physically and emotionally from his children. While her brother was admitted to the hospital for smoke inhalation, their father seemed determined to wipe away their mothers existence. He sold their old childhood home and moved the children into a large mansion with staff to tend to their needs. But what they needed the most was their father, but he was rarely ever seen by them again. Now they were left in a big mansion will too many rooms for them and a silence that lingered in the halls and crept around the corners.
      
      Kanao has lingering guilt towards the fire, thinking that if she had just kept her hearing aids in she might have heard the alarm and been able to act quicker in reacting to the fire. She still has nightmares about that day, but instead of just losing her mother, her siblings had also been lost to the fire.
      
      It took her a long time before she felt the inspiration to bake again but now she is in college working towards a degree in business management. She tries her best to share the heavy burden she knows that her twin carries, Kanao trying her best to fill the void that their mothers death and their fathers absence has caused.

      While her twin might have been close to their mother, Kanao was closer to her father. Even if he was swamped with work, he always found time to spend with his children. That wasn't to say Kanao wasn't close to her mother, she loved both of her parents with all her heart. But everything changed after the fire. It hurt to think of her mother and it seemed like her father was trying to remove any trace that their mother existed by moving them to a new place. When her father began distancing himself after he packed up and moved their life, Kanao was confused and hurt; how could he just abandon them when they needed him most? If he does ever show up, which was very seldom recently, Kanao couldn't help the bitterness that she feels towards him, though she generally hides her emotions with an empty smile and even emptier promise that everything was fine.

      Despite being the youngest of his three siblings, Hikaru has always tried to look out for them as they grew up. And after the fire, that protective trait only grew worse when he realized how close all of them came to dying. Though Hikaru isn't quiet per say, he is observant. He is rather patient and he prefers to listen and watch before he makes any decisions, especially if they are decisions that will have a big impact.
      
      Hikaru can come off as a bit blunt at times. It's not that he is trying to hurt anyone's feelings, it's just that he doesn't like to sugar coat his words; if you're being stupid, he is going to tell you that you are being stupid. Because of his protective nature towards his family, Hikaru has a bad habit of neglecting his own needs in order to make sure that his family is taken care of. He can also be a bit reckless when it comes to keeping his family safe. This combined with his stubborn nature makes him a bit head-strong at times and he isn't one to back down once he has sent his mind on doing something.

      When Everything Changed

      Hikaru would never be able to forget the day the fire happened. Even though years have passed, the smell of smoke and the heat from the flames still haunts his dreams. He can still hear his sisters screaming as they tried to find a way out of the basement but their only escape had been blocked by flames. After that everything had grown fuzzy as he was the first one to succumb to smoke inhalation.
      
      He can still remember waking up in that hospital room and being told that his mother had died trying to save her children from the fire. Due to the severity of how much smoke he inhaled, he was admitted to the hospital for a whole year to monitor his lungs and make sure he wasn't going to have any serious side-effects. The other children in the ward kept him company and he made a lot of friends during his stay, not to mention that his sisters would come and visit him whenever they were able to.
      
      But his father never came to visit, claiming he was always too busy. Hikaru didn't believe it, his father was just running from memories too painful that he didn't want to face them; his sisters had told him how their father had sold their childhood home and moved them all to a mansion that he clearly didn't plan on living in with his children. His year in the hospital set Hikaru back quite a bit and he had to work hard to catch up to his peers, he had plans of graduating and working towards a degree in digital art.

Biography:
Yui had been born into a family that was quite wealthy. Not extreme to the point of multimillionaire, but nonetheless she was still wealthy enough to practically be spoiled her father was a doctor while her mother was a local florist. She was sent to private schools where her education was definitely on the higher end compared to the more average public schools. She was usually loved by many teachers and children, in fact she was given lots of praises for how smart she was in her younger years. But she always remained humbled and shy about it, thinking that she wasnt that smart and that she was just following what she was taught. She became a role model for her younger brother Rin, a blonde haired blue-eyed boy who took his father's hair color and his mother's eyes. Where as Yui took mommy's hair and her eyes (she could be found wearing reddish-brown contacts) while loving every moment of it. Her parents taught both herself and her sibling, telling them not to flaunt their money and think they're better than anyone else. Of course this was to avoid having very prideful and selfish children with egos the size of the sun.

Yui has a strong connection with her little brother, being the big sister that she is, she wants to protect him from all the cruel people out there in the world. She wants to help him and guide him in the right direction. She's also close with her mother and father but not as close as she is to her little brother Rin. Rin is a shy boy but he's also very quiet and allows his sister to help him and guide him. Rarely do they fight which is why they have such a close relationship. Aside from her family, as she grew up into high school, she realized how many could be so cruel, even in a private school. The bullies, the taunting and flaunting, and much more were things she did not enjoy. In fact, she herself was bullied at some point but always killed those people with kindness, using that as her weapon to fight against them. This got her through high school and now she's working on college. More or less as a creator, or an artist perhaps. She'd go for something like food critic, but who needs a College Diploma for that?

Personality:
Yui is known to be a Harepeko, someone who eats an absolute ton but nothing happens to her weight. Despite her love for food, she will share whenever she would feel like it. Though if its a top favorite dish, she will never share unless you have a special place in her life. Aside from the food, she treats others with respect and tends to joke with those around her or try her best to make them laugh. She's happy, cheery, and is usually found wearing dresses or even skirts. She loves to go on walks and stop by playgrounds or walk through gardens if she ever got the chance to. Yui is selfless, but also selfish. This is because she will always put others above herself, or even first. She knows self care, but she wants others to be happy around her, even if it meant that she had to suffer to a degree.

Negative Traits:
Yui tends to lack lady-like manners. While eating, she doesn't care if she seems more like a pig, than a person.
While being the Boar, she could become a bit aggressive when angry. She comes off strong and definitely seems out of character to those who don't know her.
She could also become very shy and anxious around specific people. Such as those she admires, or crushes on.
Yui can come off a bit naive in certain situations.
She also seems to hold in her emotions the best she can and generally tries to use an outlet of "positive vibes" and presses her emotions down.

Asuna is a kind-hearted girl who just wants what's best for everyone around her. Sometimes these desires can take the front even over her own needs and dreams, but she feels that her family deserves it more than her after the fire. She's extremely protective of her siblings, and can sometimes come across as overbearing, but she means well.

This protectiveness can sometimes rear its head as Asuna being fiery or mean, but really she just doesn't want anyone to get hurt.
This stems from her own fear of being alone and getting hurt, which is why she's never gotten close to anyone since the fire happened. Instead, she's remained close with her siblings and pushed everybody else away. The new houseful of people is hard for her to handle as it not only messes with her studies, but also her ability to keep people away.

Asuna has always been a straight-A student and is known for her musical ability on the piano. She also writes music, but doesn't share it with anyone out of fear that they'll tell her it's bad. She tends to practice her music at the grand piano in the common area, however when things are too noisy or chaotic she explodes. She's a bit of a tsunedere in a way, but really Asuna just wants what's best for her family.

Asuna was born into a loving home with her two siblings. Things were always happy and fun, her mother made sure of it. While their father was away at work, their mother would take them on outings or teach them to play the piano or simply just talk with them rather than down to them, even as children. Things weren’t perfect of course, because no one’s life was, but to Asuna it was pretty damn close.

She was eleven years old when things came crashing down on them. Literally. Their mother had gone out to the grocery store after putting the kids down for naps and leaving Asuna in charge while she was away. Though she was older, she fell asleep as well with a candle burning in the kitchen. It tipped and set a fire that no one realized until their mother ran in screaming and crying, trying to get all of her children out.

While everyone made it out of the house, *not* everyone made it home from the hospital. Asuna’s mother died that day and her twin brother was admitted to the hospital for nearly a year due to how much smoke he took in. After their mother passed, things changed. They barely saw their father before, but now they never saw him. He left them in a new and unfamiliar mansion with staff to help them, but he was never to be seen.

Asuna takes the blame of the fire and their mother’s death on her own shoulders and is extremely protective of her brother ever since he left the hospital. Now she is a freshman in college and working on a music degree, but it’s hard to focus on assignments and papers when she’s still holding onto her past traumas.

When her brother comes to her about the curse with *insert zodiac character here* to prove what’s going on, she immediately goes into protective mode. However, as she’s trying to play mother to everyone and figure out what and why this is all happening, her schoolwork begins to slip which her father makes very clear shouldn’t be happening.

•A very playful man he enjoys having a good time and isn’t afraid to enjoy life. He’s also extremely confident in himself he knows he’s attractive and doesn’t try to hide that he knows. Also when he was a child after almost dying it made him more daring he tests limits and sometimes clearly things don’t pan out. He is for sure a trouble maker not afraid to get in trouble or cause it for others he’s a bit of an antagonist.

Atsuki might come off as a bad boy or someone you’d want to avoid. Which isn’t exactly wrong he probably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. There is a few things about him that are redeeming once you are his friend he makes sure to always do his best with you. He loves animals and is passionate about helping any strays get a better life. The man also sticks to his word

BIOGRAPHY: As a child, Tanjiro has always been quiet. It was difficult to talk over two boisterous older brothers so Tanjiro never bothered. He would have rathered to keep reading his books. Unfortunately that precedent would be broken when a car hit him while he was riding his bike to school at age eight. The accident left him in a coma for six months and paralyzed him for several years. Even fully recovered, Tanjiro still doesn't have a full range of motion and can't move as fast as others.
Currently he's going to college for a degree in creative writing thanks to his love of books that's been intesified over the years of being bed ridden. There wasn't much to do but read otherwise until he found the other children his age. He didn't keep in touch with his old friends, however, which he attributed to life simply getting in the way.
PERSONALITY: Often prefers the company of books to people, Tanjiro is a true introvert. Sure he gets a little lonely at times but he just doesn't know how to approach people. So Tanjiro hides away to prevent the awkward situations from happening. You can't fail if you don't take risks after all. The only place he gets an interaction is his online blog where he posts his story ideas or even snippets of one shots. If you do happen to manage to engage this hermit of a person in a conversation, you'll be glad to know that he is, in fact, an excellent listener.

  His hair is black that is long enough that he can put in a small ponytail. When down it hits just at his shoulders. Naturally wavy and usually styled and cut to be shaggy. He will sometimes clip his hair back a pins that he got from a girl at the orphange he was at when he wants his bangs out of his face, or when he is working on something.

  Very slender and lanky but he does have some muscle tone from swimming the majority of his young years. Although, he is stronger than he may appear.

  Haru's style is a bit out of the box and all of the place. He can go from casual to business casual to dressed up to what some would call the "delinquet look". His true fashion is very in tune with looking like a "rough guy". Leather jackets, ripped jeans, chains and loves to wear his collar. He also loves to wear traditional outfits and will normally wear them when going to festivals.

  Reserved and can be cold hearted. Untrusting. Most of the time he is very stoic and like he couldn’t really care what is going on around him. However, he can be talkative and join in if he finds the company, he is keeping worth it. Deep down inside he is still that kind and giving kid that he used to be and only shows that side of him to someone he completely trusts. There are times that he surprises himself when he helps someone -- more so a student at the library working on schoolwork and he happens to see a wrong answer on their work. He will take the time to explain and correct them. Although Haru would much rather not get involved, the deep-rooted respect that was instilled in him from the orphanage he stayed at, he will help elderly people across walkways or onto the train if he sees them struggling. He has on more than one occasion has paid for someone's order at a cafe, store or somewhere else when they didn't have all the money they needed. He would play it off as they were in his way or something to that effect, but it is clear that he truly can be kind.

  When Haru was young, he was a happy, go lucky kind of kid. Never had a worry in the world. Other than a few bullies during young school years because of his height, he was a very short child, he had a lot of friends and made them easy. He was a bright student and picked up on anything pretty easily. He was kind and always willing to help others. When he was a kid, maybe around the age of seven or eight, he became very ill. The doctors couldn’t really explain why he had turned so quickly but he had to be hospitalized. He suffered from high fevers frequently, his lungs would give out and only work at 50-60% so he would need to be put on oxygen, he would become very weak and disoriented. It was almost as if his own body was attacking itself. His mother did what she could to keep up with the hospital bills, but it became too much for her. She tried to reach out to his father; whom he never got to know nor was privy to find out; but he refused to pay on his medical bills. She just couldn’t take care of him and on his third trip to the hospital, she abandoned him there. A social worker tried to reach her, but she just vanished.

  second stage of life

  When he was well enough to leave the hospital, he was placed in an orphanage. As he got older, he started to get much better and didn’t have as many health issues. He did well in school and joined the swim team in his middle school years. He was picked on a lot for his body size and how short he was. Being below average height and weight for his age. He worked harder at swimming and soon enough became the fastest one on the teams and would win the Gold Medal for races. When his first year of high school hit, he finally hit a major growth spurt and he was finally at the height he should have been all along, and he bulked out a little more. He threw all of his time into swimming and his studies and didn’t bother with anything else or people. He kept to himself and didn’t dare to care for other people – in his mind, what was the point. People are disappointing and will take every chance they can to hurt you. That was also the year he decided to change his last name and swore to have nothing to do with his birth mother or father, whomever he was.

  third stage of life

  After high school, he had a full swimming scholarship, even though he could have gotten into any University he wanted with his grades, but he decided to take some time off and work full time for the library. He loved books and immersing himself in different worlds. He would rather have fictional people to care for, because he knew what to expect from them and besides, they can’t disappoint you if they aren’t real.
  
  Despite his outward view of the world and people, he is still deep down that kind and loving kid he used to be, just needs someone to fight through all the barriers he put up around his heart. He is secretly a hopeless romantic and is hoping to find that one person to spend the rest of his life with. He privately enjoys the small things in life. Finding a really good song or poem. Going to art museums. Visiting different small cafes. Going to different natural spas in isolated parts of the country. Visiting shrines and going to the cherry blossom viewing every year.

  She is the woman who owned the orphange that Haru stayed at when he was young. She loved all of the children that stayed her as her own and did the best she could for each of them. Haru ended up staying with her the longest because was never adopted by a couple. Mostly due to him being sick so much and couples being afraid of him getting sick again. Anahime helped him to open up more, at least to the point that he would actually converse with other people instead of staying silent and just hiding in his room.

  Yua was born and raised in a small coastal town in England where her mother is from until she was six, then moved with her family to Japan when her father got a promotion from the company he was working for. She adapted to living in Japan fairly quickly, although it was always a part of her lifestyle with her father being Japanese. When she was younger, she was a sick child and was always in and out of the hospital—where she was also bombarded all the time by other people staring or prodding about her bright orange hair. It was an unusual color but she was born that way and didn’t really have a say in it. She was picked on constantly about it by other kids and even some adults made snide comments about it.
  
  She stayed resilient as best she could, but she grew up with a bit of a chip on her shoulder and assumed that whoever talked to her was because they were making fun of her. She tended to keep to herself and whenever kids did try to be her friend, she would lash out and get into fights. The only friend she really had was her Dad and her older brother–who eventually became distant when he got older and she always felt slightly abandoned by him, especially when their Dad killed himself when she was fourteen. She was constantly getting into trouble and it got to the point that her mother had to homeschool her. Not only did she have this crazy hair color, she soon became the girl whose dad killed himself. People were cruel to her about it. One girl said to her that the reason he had killed himself was because he was so shameful of his weird daughter. After that, Yua just completely kept to herself and refused to show people how she really felt. She took the jokes and insults with a crooked smile on her face and a small laugh, but inside a war was raging on.
  
  She excelled in homeschooling and if she had been in a regular school, she probably would have been top of her class. She had big aspirations and after graduating high school, she went straight onto college, where she commutes every day from home. She works a few nights at a convenience store to make some extra money–not that she really needs to since her mom can get her anything she may need, but since she was old enough to work, she wanted to make her own money and feel accomplished. She wanted to make her Dad proud of her. She’s been at the same store since high school; the owner works with her schedule, and has become somewhat of family to her and he also is only one of the few people that doesn’t mind when she flies off the handle when customers become too unruly or when kids cause troubles in the store.

Yuriko, or Yu as she likes to be called, is a loveable girl but hides it behind a mask of brattiness. Afraid that people only want to befriend her because of her parents or take advantage of her. Being away from other kids her age for so long, she hasn’t developed the best social skills and can be very nervous and shy, which then can rear its ugly side of her and make her act out. She can be demanding and selfish. She’s easily jealous and doesn’t like to share her time with Anzu but when you get all past that, she is a wonderful person to be around. history

Yuriko has been sheltered for most of her life. Her parents were known celebrities and very influential societal figures. In fear that someone would try to kidnap or hurt their daughter, Yuriko’s parents kept her mostly hidden. They sent her to the most private schools that money could buy; nearly threatening to just keep her home with tutors; but after hours upon hours of arguing, they decided to allow her to at least go to private schools. In school she was treated like a princess, but mostly due to the fact of who her parents were and the other students thought if they got close to Yuriko then they could meet them and put in a good word for their own parents and their businesses. After finding out that her classmates only wanted to be her friend because of her parents, she started acting out and made the other kids do her bidding and got whatever she wanted.

When her parents found out what she was doing to the other students, they pulled her from the school and made her stay at home with tutors. Which couldn’t have come at a better time because Yuriko fell very ill. To the point of needing to be hospitalized for several weeks. However, when the doctors couldn’t precisely tell her parents what was wrong with her, they pulled her from the hospital and had her treated by a doctor and his young assistant privately. After that, she tended to get sick easily, and required lots of care and attention. But while in the hospital, when she would start to feel a little better, the nurses would allow her to walk through the pediatric wing with their assistance. One day she saw another girl that was in there, a little older than herself but even though she was sick herself, she tended to the other kids her age. She watched as this kind hearted girl cared for and made the others as comfortable as possible. Bringing smiles to their faces. She wanted that. She wanted to feel that kind of care and attention and immediately wanted to join in the same room but her parents wouldn't allow it.

As the other kids started to get better, they would also explore the wing they stayed in and discovered her; almost in a way that they were meant to meet her. They would sneak in her room to play while the other nurses and her parents were away but eventually all the other children started to get better and left the hospital. Leaving her behind. She was the only one that stayed so ill and never truly went away. After weeks of constant sickness and no help from medications or other therapies, word spread and eventually caught the attention of someone who had once known someone like her. They met the girl and after some time speaking with her, he discovered that she was like the other--possessed by the God Spirit. He told her of the old fable of the Zodiac spirits and the God, and the curse placed upon them. When they talked more about her time in the hospital and the other kids, he informed her that they were the others possessed by the zodiac animal spirits. That once upon a time that curse was also broken. However, this time, it was her duty to find why it began, learn from it and break it. Being the God spirit was a very important role and she couldn't take it lightly.

With that knowledge, Yuriko became enraged and jealous more so. How fair was that? Why did she have to have this burden? She had already felt so alone in this world, so why make it worse? Were the fates being cruel and having a laugh at her expense?

When there weren't much more the doctors could do for Yuriko at the hospital, they suggested to her parents that they make her comfortable at home. Somewhere she knew and help to make her feel at ease. But since her parents were gone for most of the time from constant events or social injustices they were helping to fight, Yuriko was left alone with a Nanny, house staff and her doctors. Her doctor noticed how lonely the girl truly was and told her about the brightest student he had and how she had a bit of a lonely life herself; to give her hope. When hearing about the girl, how caring she was, she asked for the woman's name and instantly remembered her from when she was a child in the hospital. She remembered that kind girl that always took care of the other kids and always wanted to be her friend. She demanded that he hire the young doctor to be, to be his assistant and help take care of her. She even persuaded her parents to make it happen. But Yuriko wasn’t the doctor’s only patient, so he was gone a lot of the time as well, so most of her care was provided from his assistant, Anzu, who is what she wanted anyways. They were drawn to one another just like all those years ago. Although Anzu didn't remember Yuriko, they still clicked and became very close. They formed a sisterly bond that was nearly unbreakable. However, Yuriko never told Anzu about the curse and her role in it or Anzu's role in it either.

Now that Yuriko was older, she didn’t get as sick as often, but she still needed to be taken care of–Anzu stayed around and helped her to convince her parents to send her to a public school. Where she will be finishing her senior year of school.

Anzu had a very interesting childhood. Being the only child of gang members. Her mother was a leader of an all women gang, and her father was a leader of a small street racing gang. They met during a car show and it was like fate brought them together. They fell in love instantly and after finding out that they were going to have a baby, they passed their torches on to their next in command and created the safest environment a baby could have. It wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows because when you’re in a gang, you will always have enemies. However, Anzu never went without anything and her parents always were sure to never bring the trouble home. The only thing that Anzu ever had to worry about was if they had enough medical supplies to help patch up her parents after they came home from dealing with awry problems.

They were a happy family. Always there for one another and supporting one another. Anzu grew up always knowing she wanted to be a doctor and made sure to pay attention in school and get fantastic grades to get into a good medical school. Her parents were always teasing her about how hard she studied and always seemed to be so serious all the time. Her parents were so carefree and filled with so much joy. Not that Anzu wasn’t, she just felt the burden of responsibility since her parents always seemed to just take things as a joke.

Well, except when she came down with a serious illness that landed her in the hospital for a while. The doctors never really could explain what was wrong with her and she wasn’t the only one that had this illness. While being at the hospital, even when she wasn't feeling all that great herself, she would still help the other kids. She would care for them and make them as comfortable as possible. But on good days, they would explore the hospital, or at least the pediatric wing they were in, and discovered another little girl there with almost the same kind of illness of every kid there; with the exception that she was far more severe in her illness. And when they could, her and the other kids would sneak into her private room and play with her or keep her company. But like all the other kids when she was well enough, she too left the hospital and then suddenly became “cured”. She vowed that she was going to spend her medical career trying to figure out what made her and so many other kids so sick.

After graduating high school, she was accepted into a prestigious medical school. Became the top of her class easily and even was invited to be an assistant to a prominent doctor who was hired by a power couple to take care of their sick daughter. When finding out she had this same “illness” as her as a child and had easily fallen ill since, she devoted her time in taking care of Yuriko. She was surprised to learn that they had been in the hospital at the same time, but she didn’t remember her at all. However, she was a few years younger than her and was kept in a private room; so perhaps not so surprising.

During her time with the girl, she came close to her and developed a strong sister-like bond with her. She felt bad for her in a sense; always being kept inside the house with only a Nanny, then when she got old enough to stay by herself, the house keepers and staff and eventually only Anzu to keep her company. She helped her form a derisive plan to get her into a public school and helped to convince her parents that she would be fine. She helped to convince them that it would honestly be better for her and she would always be there to take care of her when she became sick at school and would be the one to get her.

Now that Yuriko is going to school full time during the day, she refocused on finding the origins of this mysterious illness and who it affected while also doing her clinic hours with her boss and focusing back on her studies and classes to become the best doctor she can be.

Despite his typically casual appearance, Tsuji is very much someone who prides himself on being a

Upon first glance, most people think that he behaves the opposite. Seemingly messy brown hair, often done with smaller, intricate braids scattered throughout, coupled with his typically casual style and overconfident demeanor, make him seem to be more of a free spirit. While this isn't entirely true, Tsuji cannot hide the fact that his interests change quite often. istory

Tsuji has always been a dedicated soul, ever since he was a child. Of course, what he was dedicated to.. well, that changed quite frequently. To put his energy to good use, his parents decided to throw him into after school sports. It was a good way to avoid worrying about a babysitter, and it got him out of the house for the time being. What his parents weren't expecting, however, was for him to enjoy them so much, and for so long! But over the years it became abundantly clear that Tsuji quite enjoyed learning many sports. Football, Basketball, Volleyball, baseball, swimming.. They all fascinated him and he always enjoyed pushing himself to be above all of his classmates.

It was no surprise, then, as he was training for a high school championship game, that he would push himself a little too far. Over-exerting his body, he went into cardiac arrest at the young age of 16, and as he fell during this heart attack, he managed to hit his head on a piece of gym equipment, inhibiting his motor function.

It took years of physical therapy, stubbornness, and spite to get himself out of the hospital. He refused to be a sob story, and he was tired of seeing the looks of pity that visited him day in and day out. Tireless days full of physical therapy that hurt like hell, eventually got him out of the hospital and into the world. Of course, he cannot perform in athletics like he used to, due to his injuries and early-on heart failure. To patch up the hole that it left inside of him, he is searching for new hobbies, places to visit, and possibly people to meet.

  Emiko enjoys interacting with people and being a helpful member of the teams he works with. At work he wears glasses to seem less intimidating, and enjoys helping with kids needs. He wears a smile almost always, and loves to joke around even with strangers. He’s a very friendly, and approachable person which is exactly how he wants to be seen. He has a natural energetic energy that keeps him on his toes at work and in his personal life. Because of this he’s always on the go, and rarely stays home on his days off.
  
  There is a side to him that he doesn’t show as often, and it’s the private side that he tries to keep hidden. This part of him is somber, emotionless, and exists as the darkness around him. Though he has a comforting, and welcoming exterior Emiko has an inner side to him that is full of weaknesses. He sees the world as half empty, and feels like there’s something missing in his life that he wishes could heal. There’s an internal conflict going on where if he doesn’t continue to express it through exercising and boxing he will take it out on others. This being said he’s easy to anger, and will act before thinking even as an adult.
  
• Before the Curse

  The life of a child who is blessed (cursed) with the ability to turn into a zodiac creature isn’t one to be happy about. But, the start of Emiko’s life was a simple one. He was born to a mother and a father that loved and cared for him in their own way. His father was a stern quiet man who worked his way up from being an intern to becoming a well known respected doctor at a hospital. His mother worked in the corporate world, but soon after giving birth became a stay at home mother. He lived in a home where he was well taken care of from being given the newest clothes, gifted the best gadgets, and was enrolled in private schools where he was expected to succeed. Soon after this younger brother was born, and it was a slow but growing wonderful family.

  The Event

  
  However, on one horrid day Emiko had broken his leg in a sports incident, and was transported to the hospital. Luckily they took care of him, and he was to make a full recovery. Though, something about that day didn’t feel right, but he wasn’t able to pinpoint why. Throughout the recovery his mother took care of him, but made sure to keep her distance so there was no way to pinpoint the change that had happened. Life continued on as normal until he went back to school, and a girl classmate hugged him. He instantly turned, and it was the talk of not only the school but the town as well.
  
  Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant experience finding out he was a zodiac member. Soon after the incident his mother couldn’t handle the burden of being a mother of the cursed, so she took their younger child and left. His father was left to care for Emiko, but resented him for a time due to what he had done to the family. Though it wasn’t his fault Emikos father blames him for what had happened to their family and does what he can to stay away. In his high school years Emiko was granted access to spend 1 hour a week with his little brother who is now in middle school, and they spend that time doing fun things.
  

  Life with the Curse

  Currently Emiko is studying in college to become a children’s doctor, and has a paid internship job at a hospital during the week. Every few days he works a night shift at a Konbini, and uses free time from that to work on his classes. Usually the owner of the shop just sends him a message asking if he could work that night, and he responds. Though he gets a monthly allowance from his father he doesn’t want to rely on that, and instead use his resources to make ends meet. The only time he uses the allowance is when absolutely necessary, or when he’s spending time with his little brother. Emiko also lives alone in an apartment complex, and rarely has visitors.

  Used to have a close relationship with his
  mother, but once she left he only sees her
  from a distance when meeting with his little
  brother. She refuses to look his way, and only
  addresses him by his last name when Hiro is around.
  Seeing his mother always pains him, but the
  agreement requires a meeting before being able
  to hang out with Hiro. She has much affection for
  her 2nd son, but only has a cold and unwelcoming
  demeanor towards Emiko.

  He's an exciting and atheletic type of kid whose
  Emiko's partner in crime. They do everything
  together while they can, and enjoy each others
  company. Hiro doesn't know why the family
  was split in half, but is told constantly that it's
  Emiko's fault. He doesn't believe that as Emiko
  treats him the best, and aims to find out the truth
  one way or another. He truly loves his brother and
  wishes to be with him more often. Hiro barely sees
  their father, and is intimidated when he does see him.

  Akio is a bright personality. He's the kind of guy that lights up the room the second he enters. Despite his outward appearance that he harbors most of the time, he's a very easy going and fun loving guy. Swimming is a big chunk of his personality and he takes it very seriously. He's a bit competitive and can be a big flirt. He's not afraid to go after the things that he wants, or the person that he wants. If he likes you, you will know big time. He doesn't hold anything back and that can get him into trouble sometimes. He's smart but acts dumb about 95% of the time because he doesn't want people to put too much expectations on him. He loves going on random adventures unless it will impede on his swim schedule--but if you need a guy to go to the market with you, ask him, he'll do it. You need a fake boyfriend? He has your back. He'll even kiss you in front of whoever to get the point across. He enjoys making other people happy and will expect you to let him buy you things or food while you're out with him.
  
  However, as much as a sunny personality that Akio is, he does have his dark side. He can be real petty sometimes. He doesn't take to losing very well, especially when it comes to swimming. He's very hard himself and although he won't show it, he finds subtle ways to hate himself. He has a bit of a BDD problem and that's one of the reasons why he always works out and watches everything that he eats.   Akio was born to a fairly normal family. A mom and a dad that both worked and played hard. They had nice jobs so that they could provide well for their son. They spent every summer at the beach, every winter vacation at some mountain resort and every time that he got really good grades through the term, they would celebrate with him by taking him to the aquarium. Akio was obsessed with the water--still is. He loved everything about it. The way it made him feel, the creatures that lived in the ocean, and the serenity that he felt when he was floating on his back in a pool.
  
  He took up swimming at an early age, no surprise to his parents because he had always loved bath time when he was a baby and a toddler. When he was old enough to take baths by himself, it was hell trying to get him out of the water. He would stay in there until nearly his whole body was pruned up and he was too tired to stand on his own. His mom signed him up for swim lessons a local swim club and the rest was history. He met the best of his friends at that swim club. Competed and won. Swimming ingrained itself into his very soul and he became obsessed.
  
  He was a careless kid and didn't really need to be anything else. His parents loved him and he loved them. They were all happy.
  
  But sometimes, happiness comes at a big price.
  
  During a swim meet, Akio had been feeling a little off. His strokes weren't as powerful as they usually were, his legs hurt like they did when he was first learning how to competitively swim and overall he felt like his body just didn't want to work with his mind or drive. The shot rang off and he jumped into the water, a few strokes in and then he felt it. His muscles and body were giving out on him in an unusual fatigue. He sank to the bottom of his lane faster than he thought could happen. He tried as hard as he could to make his body listen to his mind to try and get back to the surface, but it didn't want to listen. He struggled to breathe and then the world went dark.
  
  He couldn't remember what happened after that, but he remembered waking up in the hospital surrounded by his parents, nurses and a two doctors. They told him how he had been in a coma for several weeks and weren't sure if he was ever going to wake up. He was told that he was pushing his body too hard and that's the reason his muscles seized. He was put on bed rest for a little while longer and then after that to get some physical therapy to retrain his body to listen to his brain. He had been in the hospital for a long while and another surprised hit him like a ton of bricks--his parents adopted a young boy and he now had a younger brother to help take care of. At first he was mad. He was in a coma and they decided to replace him? At least that's what it felt like, but when he found out about the boys traumatic past, he just couldn't stay mad and was happy to share his loving parents with someone who needed it the most.
  
  After getting out of the hospital, he got back into swimming, and although he didn't compete anymore--at least not until he was much older--he enjoyed still being a part of the swim club. He would help out at meets and often teach little kids how to swim.
  
  But one summer, when it was just like all the rest, him and his family were on vacation when tragedy struck again. His mother was at a local market getting some groceries for dinner that night when a thug came in the store to rob the place. He held everyone up at gun point, knocked over an elderly woman and demanded that no one move. When his mother thought the thug wasn't looking, she moved to the old woman to help her but he saw her and shot and killed her.
  
  When the police contacted his father and he told him and his brother what happened, he snapped and ran away. He kept running until his legs started to give out on him. He fell into a deep dark hole after that. Remained there until the love of swimming brought him back out of it. However, when tragedies come, they usually come in threes. So when it seemed like his life was finally getting back to normal, something else far weirder than anything he could have imagined would happen to him--he was hugged by a female member of the swim club and he turned into a goat. An actual goat.
  
  The shame and the humiliation and not to mention the weirdness of it was too much to handle when everyone just made fun of him for it afterwards. Everyone turned their back on him, all his friends and anyone else that he knew. They started to pick on him. Start fights with him. In school, the boys would shove him down and they no longer wanted him to be on their teams during phys. ed. Just like that over night, he became a pariah. Everyone hated him or laughed at him. He quit swimming completely and shut himself out from the rest of the world.
  
  He didn't understand what happened to him and when he told his dad about it and finally convinced him that he was telling the truth, they up and left their home and moved to a far away city where nowhere knew them or Akio's strange predicament. He started to live again. He enrolled in college, although this time a lot more careful with being around female's and took up swimming again.   Ryo had always known that there was something different about him. Something dark and a bit sinister. He always found things that were gruesome to not be. His mother would often find him looking and poking dead animals with a stick. He use to always try and take them back home to turn them into some kind of weird house ornament. Being the weird kid didn't get you a lot of friends and he use to get beat up a lot, but when the other kids realized that he just liked the pain and would ask them to hit him harder, they just stopped and turned to just ignoring him instead. Which, honestly was just fine with him as well.
  
  His mother tried to get him into therapy for his odd behaviors, and would chalk it up that he just didn't have a father figure in his life. When she did try to date, it wouldn't last for very long because Ryo would creep on the guys coming into their homes. He would often stand at their side of the bed and just stare down at them until they woke up. He would get this sinister look in his eye like he might just kill them and that was enough to get the guy to high tail it out of there. Having enough of this crazy behavior, his mother put him in a home for boys with behavioral issues to get him straightened out--but it only worked enough that Ryo could start to manipulate people into giving him what he wanted. He learned quickly how to cheat the system and acted differently in order to go home.
  
  When he was finally able to go home, he quickly learned that his mother had indeed remarried and that there was a "real" man of the house and that the rules would be changing. He was a tough ex-military guy and didn't put up with Ryo's nonsense. He would often and literally knock the "sense" into the boy. Several times so badly that he would need medical treatment and would find himself in the hospital. He didn't remember a lot of those days, but not like he really cared to.
  
  When that didn't really seem to work with him, his mother sent him to a boarding school that was all boys where he remained until he graduated high school. It wasn't until he went to college that he met his real crush and first love. He shared a science class with him and often had to pair up for projects. The other male was the only one that Ryo never really messed with. Because of this first love, Ryo began to change and started treating people better. He had thought that he liked him back, at least that's how it seemed to be from all the flirting he was recieving.
  
  But Ryo found out soon enough that his first love was actually straight and in a committed relationship with his girlfriend. Ryo slipped back into his old ways and became the villain once more in his own story. He threw a party and purposely got the girlfriend drunk and invited this guy he knew liked her--who he also got drunk--he manipulated them both to the point of hooking up where he could take pictures and show his love what she had done and he would leave her so he could have his chance of soothing him and see that he would make for a better partner than she ever could. However his plan backfired majorly and instead of trying to hook up with this random guy, the girlfriend tried to hook up with Ryo. She fell against him and just like that he changed into a rat.
  
  Needless to say it freaked everyone out and he opted to just switching schools and finding one as far away as possible from where he was now.
  
  He decided that when he got to his new college, that he would try to be a better person. He realized that he did have it inside of himself to try and understand other people and get to like them when he was friends with his first love. But sometimes it's hard to let old habits die hard. He had to believe that there was good inside of him and maybe the real reason he treated others the way he did was because deep down he hated himself so much that it was just easier to take that out on other people rather than fixing his own problems.
