Fantasy Curse of Dinwater

"Shut up!" The prince span around to look at Constanze, who hadn't received proper punishment for yelling at royalty, his expression angry, but in his eyes you could see the amusement and optimism he hid, though only for a moment as he averted his gaze to look over at Thomas, who had begun to laugh at the prince, not strong enough to hold back his laughter as well as the girl, as always.

Thomas stumbled as he was nearly thrown to the ground by the rather hard slap Sawyer had aimed at his face, holding his hand over the red hadrint on his cheek as he was forced to regain his composure, "Apologies, young master... That was... Inappropriate..." The kind man said, bowing and returning obediently to the heir's side, still rubbing the mark on his cheek, which stung like bees. He was often told he shouldn't put up with the boy, but it was, quite literally, what he was born to do, and he wasn't about to go against his purpose. Though he had to admit, if only to himself, that the prince needn't be so cross about everything, nor did he have reason to hit the man as he did so often.

"Tch, serves you right." The boy said, disregarding the man's pain, losing whatever amusement that he'd been feeling.

He snickered when he saw Sawyer, the blushing and bumbling fool. "My my Elizabeth, I knew you're not much of a man before, but now..Wow, you have descended lower." He said, pausing for suspense. Oh how he loves to make a fool out of Sawyer. "Now you're riding ponies?! Wow, just wow. I never imagined you to be a little girl who likes to dress up and ride ponies, well actually I did, but it's different seeing it in person." He said, smirking at the "princess". "How about you Anne, is the little princess giving you a hard time? Does she make you bathe her? Or maybe she needs help wearing a corset?" He added, laughing hard. Although he felt no respect towards Sawyer, he had some respect in Tomas, even if he's only a servant.

Even though Constanze was not facing Sawyer, she felt the harsh authority in her voice and quickly fell silent. In that moment she thought of her mother and tutors. Turning she bowed to him, hoping he would let her off the hook, "Forgive me highness-" she heard and felt the slap Sawyer delivered to his butler and gasped. She went over to Thomas, having to move with care because of her scraped knee, and kneeled before him, "Are you alright? Your majesty, you didn't have to hit him so hard" she looked down, her mouth had did it again

Sawyer may not be the most masculine, or intimidating guy, but one thing was sure, he had power in the world, and though he really had no control over it, he was strong, proud, and to be honest, a bit mean. He turned to look at Sebastian, a rather startling glare in his violet eyes, and then the girl, oh, this girl. Though Thomas had tried to reason, her mouth kept on running, like a river, calm until they take a turn for the worst, though they were beautiful nonetheless... Unlike Miss Constanze, whose turns were her words and they irked the prince more than cattle who refused to graze, a pity for such a face, but recently everything was marred by his pessimism and forced outlook on the world. "Silencium." His voice went down a few pitches as he spoke, it was as if he was possessed.

"I'm fine." The man said, though he knew the mark would become an unpleasant and rather painful bruise later, "I'm a man. I handle my pain like I handle my liquor..." That was a bit confusing, so he quickly finishing the sentence, "By myself... Did that sound harsh? I'm sorry..." He looked over at the prince as he turned to look at Thomas, causing the man to flinch, if the others felt how hard the boy hit they'd understand, and he as the guardian of the heir couldn't fight back an had to let this happen without any talking back, as was the way of the Reynolds family, though he knew Sawyer wasn't the same if the boy didn't become intimidating no one would listen, these people just proved it.

"Thomas, I think it best that we get going, I wouldn't want to be seen associating with dirt, not that you're any better." If you looked quick enough, you may have caught the look of regret as he turned his back to everyone, he didn't want to deal with these people, and he didn't want them to have to deal with himself, he knew he wasn't pleasant to be around.

"Y-Yes sir!" The man hurried to catch up, though he kept some distance as he gripped the horse's reigns, being especially gentle with Silver, whose injury must have hurt much worse than a slap from the prince.
It was then that he saw it, fur and all, staring him straight in the eye from a few yards away, it's yellow eyes narrowed to slits as it snarled rabidly, eliciting a frightened scream from Sawyer, he'd tried to be intimidating but it just wasn't in the flower-loving boy's nature, now everything was about to go downhill for him, down a hill covered in daisies and inhabited by deer and cute little bunnies. This was his happy place, this was where he was going, though in reality he'd managed to trip after stepping on his cape, falling for the third time that night and becoming momentarily detached from reality as whatever pride had filled his head in that moment drained out of his head and the aggressive beast charged at a high speed, claws digging up stones from the ground as it ran.

Thomas didn't believe him when he'd said it, but this beast fit the description snug as, well, a tight shoe? The man drew a sword from the sheathe on his hip, standing in front of the heir with the sword held comfortably in both hands like a bat, he would've spoken but with his focus on the creature, why would he think to?

(Yoooo.)

Orlando made it to the place where he last saw the group. Oddly enough only 3 remained, and the horses were gone. He quickly asked the three, "Did any of you hear the shriek?" He knew this sounded odd, but it was worth a shot. The rain had now started to clear up and it was now just sprinkling. "And where did the men on the horses go?"

Constanze fell silent and remained silent until the prince and his butler left. Not once did she take her eyes up from the ground she remained seated upon. She was wet, scratched and bruised up, and now she was probably in more trouble than she could ever imagine. "Mother and Father will be cross with me..." It was when the stranger she had also scolded came back and asked about a shriek, did she look up, "A shriek? No I don't believe I had...." Perhaps through all the commotion there was a shriek that she did not hear because of the great deal of noise they had been making. "They're over there," she said pointing in their direction, dropping her head again, "They're probably headed back to-" she heard a scream, "Who was that?" She asked seeing as she wasn't looking, however when she looked up again, Sawyer was on the ground and she caught a glimpse of a strange creature

The beast ran towards the man welding the blade, it was smart enough to know who to attack first to get to the prince as the boss had ordered, he had to take out this big goof and take Elizabeth back to the den, where the leader was to take care of him.

When Thomas looked into the beast's eyes he knew it, he was after Sawyer, for what reason? He wasn't sure, but everyone had a grudge against royalty, it was to be expected though royalty didn't actually control as much as before, especially not the prince. Had he done something to bother this creature or was this all because of his bloodline... Or just his blood, blue as it was. The man charged the beast with a death grip on the sword's handle, swinging the broad blade, which hit right on it's mark, though the affect was less than pleasant as it cut through the beast's neck.

The prince didn't say a word until he came out of his daze, watching as a creature leapt from the shadows, "T-Thomas!" He shouted in his panic, giving Thomas time to impale the beast but it still embedded it's canines into his shoulder, drawing much blood from the butler before he managed to throw it off. He watched as one by one they attacked the man, who he wouldn't admit that he' still admired and looked up to, but he couldn't let anyone know it though or he'd regret it, at least that's what he thought as he leapt to his feet, pulling something silver from the white horse's saddlebag, quickly settling his fingers and holding the wind instrument in playing position, his slender fingers quickly adjusting as the air was pushed from his lungs, a rather high note emitting from the silver instrument and momentarily stopping the beasts in heir tracks with their hand-like paws clasped over their ears. He couldn't fight, so he played, he just hoped none of these people judged him for it, their teasing did lower his confidence some and he'd failed to maintain the façade that he was proud in the time of the attack, though it'd return when he could up his confidence and calm himself down.

Thomas looked over his shoulder, "If you can do something to help, I-I'd really appreciate it right about now!" Sawyer could only hold that note for so long, though the duration was quite impressive, especially compare to the 'skills' his parents wanted him to have so desperately. The man's focus went back to the creatures, he was probably going to die if no one could help, which he was willing to do if it meant the heir lived.

"That's od..." He turned as he heard the scream. He started running after the source and found a boy playing an instrument of sorts and another fighting of hellish beasts. No questioning and knowing that they were in trouble he then stood slightly behind the man with the blade and shot at one of the beasts with his father's pistol. The beast had hopped back by the bullet wound, blood protruding from it's wound, but quickly jumped back into action. He quickly reloaded it, taking out some black powder from one of his pouches he had brought earlier. As he repeated this he yelled at the two, "What the devil is going on here?"

Constanze was terrified to say the least. Whatever these creatures were, they seemed to have it out for his majesty. The sound of the third stranger firing a shot at the creature, showing that it can be harmed, sprung her into action. The moment the beast hopped back into action was the moment one of her daggers buried itself in it's head. She got up as quick as she could and readied her second dagger for throwing, "What in God's name are these creatures?" She asked

Thomas looked at the boy as he pulled his sword from a beast's back, "Unless those bullets are silver I'm afraid they'll do no damage." These weren't werewolves, well, they were a type that caged every full moon, this would be the third phase of the moon's cycle, the wolves had time before their next change. "I'll explain later, for now we have to kill them with blades, damage their vitals." He said as he thrust his sword through the heart of the malicious beast.

The prince still hindered the beast's with his flute, note still steady as he looked around, everyone had a skill but himself, he was useless but he'd never say it... At least he didn't plan to, as of now these wolves needed to be stopped.

"I'd love to ask how you know all of this, but as you said, you'll explain later." Orlando had no blade so he simply used the butt of the pistol to bash at there heads. It was obviously angering them but at the same time stunning them. Wasn't much help but it as doing something. "How many are there?" He asked as he started bashing in one of the beast's head in, the blood essentially splattering everywhere.

He was about to make a snarky remark about Sawyer seeing a frog when he saw the beasts. They were in fact terrifying, wolves that stands on two legs. It was impossible, but there was no denying that they weren't real. He heard Thomas saying they need silver bullets. Sebastian smiled, knowing what he had to do. "Silver bullets ey? Good thing you have me here." He said, pulling out his pistol and shooting the beast. He hit the beast on its stomach, causing it to howl in pain.

(Okidoki~)

Constanze remained silent as she withdrew her dagger from the wolf creature she felled. Her daggers, gifted to her by her father, were of silver craft. 'Well that most certainly would explain why my knives could stop what a gun couldn't' she thought to herself, "I don't mean to pry but, shouldn't this time be used to escape?" She asked as she slashed at one which lunged at her

"Exactly what I was going to say!" The prince breathed as he gripped Silver's leather reigns, slipping the flute into the saddlebag, "Thomas, oh, I'll get that!" The usually grouchy boy gently took Annabelle's reigns.

"No, I- You are injured and you are going to let me handle this!" Sawyer didn't have a hint of rudeness in his voice at that time, only concern, which was odd as he was his usual rude self not a moment earlier.

"Yes, sir..." Thomas was confused by Sawyer's order but glad he didn't have to pull the horses with his injured arm as he looked around, "We must hurry, the estate is nearby and the building is reinforced for... EH! Well, I'll explain later! Just, please, follow me, I have some things I need you all to see before anything else!" Though the others may have lived nearby as well he knew the Reynold's residence was the best place to be, and Thomas had a bit of information to share. They also had the horses and such to think about, though he also felt he owed them for dragging them into this mess with the wolves. "This way!"

"Ohhh mother will definitely kill me if this doesn't.." She said as she kicked back the same wolf creature she slashed at with her unscathed leg and then quickly followed after them. As she caught up with them, she instinctively grabbed the strap to her satchel making sure it was still there. She'd be in deeper deep trouble if she came back in the man attire she so ruined. "Do tell me you have first aid where we are going?" She called out to them

"Why, you'll love Marie, she's a lovely woman and she can help with whatever she can. She's a sweet lass." The man said, leading everyone to the Reynolds' rather large estate, "Hurry in! Hurry!" He rushed everyone through the back door, a rather large door that had been made tall enough for the horses if they needed to be brought in for some reason, riots, whatever, which he closed and locked behind them as he'd done with the back gate.

"Don't you dare go into my room!" The prince blushed at the idea as he lead the horses off and quickly came back as they were taken by someone unseen and the boy hurried to close the door to his room, standing in front of it as everyone entered, the sounds of the rabid animals outside making his heart race like a that of a rabbit. "I-Is everyone here?"

Orlando followed the Butler, "Reinforced?! Why would you need your manor reinforced?!" He asked as he ran along the group that was now retreating from the beast. "And, What the hell is going on?!" He knew that the butler said everything would be answered, but the stress of the situation made him extremely anxious. As he said this it again to rain heavily again. He tried to check his watch in the rain and he noted the time, 10:58. He entered into the estate and dried himself off, or well simply rubbed his sleeve on his face removing part of the rain. "So now will you tell us what's going on?"

The Anmore Fiend had bandaged up his injured finger with a cloth as smooth as silk in the corner of his cave. The wound was healing miraculously fast, which was good. The creature then decided to see what all the ruckus was about. He ran out of his hideout and to an overlook that well overlooked the village. He saw a group of people, including the boy that had seen him earlier, run into a rather large estate. In his ancient tongue he called out what seemed to be a spell. Once his "chant" was finished he "moved" to the rooftop of the large estate. Making somewhat a thud, making a miscalculation as to where he would "land".

Constanze hurried in and sat down on the first chair she could find. She was trembling in both utter fear and utter excitement, but as she was wet, she was trembling from the cold too. 'hold your tongue. Hold your tongue. Hold it Constanze' she chanted over and over in her head as she took on an idle façade and waited for an explanation to these strange events. She tried her very hardest not to speak or laugh this time around. She could have sworn she heard a thud, but the sound was so minute, so miniscule that she assumed that it was the sound of her heart beating in her ears

Thomas didn't notice the sound as a young woman, about twenty-one years of age, hurried into the room, holding the sides of her uniform dress up so that she wouldn't trip, "I will e- Take it off. Excuse me, Marie? Your shirt, do I need to take it off of you for you, Anne?" Marie held her hands on her hips, her red hair was tied in pigtails and her green eyes glowed with her youthful energy as she spoke orders to her... Well, he was somewhat her superior, in a way...

The prince tried his best to suppress his tittering but it quickly escaped him, though he quickly shut his mouth, usually he'd joke around but he wasn't comfortable with the strangers so he remained quiet.

"Fine! But when you say 'Take it off' You cold mean... Well... Anything! It just sounded odd!" Thomas said, sliding his overcoat off of his arms, after removing his vest he began to unbutton his undershirt, "I will explain in a bit, as you can see, I have injuries to deal with... Though I doubt it will take long." He sighed as the girl examined his wound, despite the beast's strength he only had about... Maybe five minor puncture wounds, which could easily be patched up, he'd heal as he usually did.

"Sooooo, this is obviously where I live..." He glanced around at the familiar room, it was all rather nice but these people weren't here to sightsee. "Can I... Get anyone anything?" The prince said, obviously a bit nervous now that they were in his home, usually secret to any who didn't have to be there. Sawyer attempted to stop his hand from shaking, eventually he did and awaited a response from these civilians-turned -honored guests.

Orlando had heard a thud, but quickly dismissed it as possible hail. He had noticed the woman that had entered the room, possibly another servant of this royalty. He then heard the 'prince' offer something of choice, "If you don't mind, I'd like some tea." Orlando didn't believe in monarchy or in royalty that much, one could say he was more of an anarchist, but he would never tell anyone. Remembering the thud he brought it up, "Did any of you hear that thud?"

. The fiend had wanted to see and hear what was going on inside, so he descended down the wall of the manor and peered into a window. He saw all of the people gathered and soaked. Someone had said something about tea, another something about a shirt. This somewhat intrigued the creature as he rarely had any "social" life. The crack of thunder could be heard, and suddenly after that a quick flash of lightning.

"Ah, I'll be back in a moment then~" Sawyer pushed off of his bedroom door and headed out of the room, tea, of course. Not that he didn't like tea, why, didn't everyone? As he passed by the flowers in the hall he couldn't help but smell them, roses and such, they were especially fragrant where they grew indoors, he'd never tell that he did work around the home, he lived apart from his parents, who lived in a place more like... Well, a castle! Anyways, these were- "E-!" He clapped a hand over his mouth as he saw it, walking stiffly into the kitchen before it could see that it had been spotted and once inside he closed the door, acting as if he'd never seen the thing, what thing? He didn't know!

"Can you guys... Please... Avoid saying anything too rude to Sawyer? At least here... It's-" He stopped when he heard a sound but then continued speaking, "The home is the only place where he doesn't have to put his guard up... I'm sure you'll see a better side of him... Just don't be too harsh, he isn't the same here as he is outside." This was the honest truth, Thomas didn't lie without good reason. "Wait, a thud? It could very well be the wolves."

"Did you get slapped again, Thomas?" She already knew, she just had a habit of asking from the less obvious injuries he tended to get. Marie cleaned his wounds and bandaged a few, though one would need stitching, "Prepare yourself for the needle!"

Thomas frowned, he despised any kind of needle, this would be no different, he tried to focus on something else to get his mind away from the fear he'd had since childhood.
