Bella is a bit of a know-it-all, mainly just because she really does know it all. Don't expect her to be too friendly either. Having grown up in a lab all her life, her social skills are about as good as, well... They're not good at all. She is blunt with her words and isn't afraid to tell the truth, which is probably why the scientists in the lab hated her so much. Getting your flaws pointed out every day wasn't exactly the most lovely experience.


Due to her lack of social skills, jokes are ridiculous, and sarcasm is just plain weird.


Bella isn't exactly a mean person. To put it simply, she just doesn't know how to be nice, or how to be human in general.

Bellamy lived a normal life as the Union's lab rat. She was treated just like all the other experiments were treated: like trash. Of course, this never bothered her, because everyone around her were idiots anyways. It was entertaining enough to watch them fail constantly over their experiments. She had been taken the moment she had been born, since she had been created only for the purpose of research. They had taken her at such an early age because they wanted to begin research as soon as possible. Most experiments were to enhance physical traits, but they hadn't made any attempt at improving the human brain. If this experiment succeeded, knowledge would be limitless for them.


For the first couple of years of her life, Bella went through consistent electric brain therapy and tests. The truth was, they had succeeded within the first few tries, but Bella would never offer any response when they tested her level of intelligence.They noticed that her brain activity increased greatly, but if she couldn't portray any information, then there was no point in having such a level of intelligence anyways.

So life went on like that. Experiments, testing, no response, repeat. The war raged on outside of the Union, but Bellamy was unaware of it all. She had been cut off from the world since birth, so it really wasn't much of a difference for her. Word spread throughout the lab as rumors that experiments from other research labs were revolting, and there was an immediate stir within all of the experiments. Bella kept to herself and said nothing, continuing on with the tests and pretending to be stupid when someone made the first move.

An explosion sounded throughout the lab as war cries pierced through the air. The experiments were making their escape.

The nine-year-old Bella took this opportunity to run and hide. Though she had never experienced the world, instinct told her to stay alive.

Fifteen years later, Bella made her way into New York City. The previously popular city now nearly abandoned. She had no goal, and no purpose of going there other than to simply survive. Having wandered alone for so long, she no longer cared about where she was, as long as she wasn't dead.

These can stem from pains in various parts from her body and nausea to severe troubles in breathing and heart attacks. However, the serum is finite and though its composition is known it is difficult to get the material to make it. Also the activated enhancement puts a huge strain on the body in prolonged use making symptoms more likely to occur. Lacks sight in one eye due to injury.

Born the daughter of a Union executive, Helena's life was that of privilege though she didn't appreciate it at the time. In her teenage years she became quite rebellious and was at constants odds with her parents. At one such arguments she decides to run away attempting to start a new life with a boyfriend. This led her become involved in a bad car accident leaving her boyfriend dead and herself cripple barely capable of any movement. There was no treatment so her parents put her through the first trail of human enhancement in the hope of curing her. It worked as she had not only made a full recovery, she became almost superhuman as a result. This led her to be as set template for future enhancements despite signs of severe side effects.


At first due to a familial connection she was spared the life of future lab rats, she was even allowed to return home to her family. However that changed when her father, the executive died of illness so without her connection she was kidnapped and experimented on further. This proved a sobering experience, so when the war started she joined her lot with the other enhanced and despite her upbringing proved a capable fighter. This experience led her to survive the war and the wasteland it resulted in.

Margaux Cecelia is a very kind and collected person. She won’t randomly shout in your face, but she’s not mute. She will start conversation rarely and will speak if talked to. She is absent-minded, always swimming in her thoughts and rarely paying attention. Margaux is caring, she will ask you what’s wrong if you look sad and will care for you if you’re hurt. She is too kind. She also isn’t too much of a “We Can Do It!” person. If she tries and it goes wrong, she will stop trying. Margaux also is very fond of music. She has chromesthesia, a form of synesthesia where sounds show up in the form of colors. Margaux closes her eyes when she hears music and watches a show in her brain.

Margaux lived a normal life with her family, until the war happened. She got used to the constant loud noises. But at one point, the loud noises suddenly stopped. Walking out to find her parents, she finds them dead and enhanced humans running away. That’s why she’s scared of the quiet and why she’s not fond of enhanced people.


After that she escaped her little living area and ran away, aiming to survive. The war soon ended as the government fell apart and she grew more scared of her surroundings. She hasn’t talked to anyone since her parent’s death. She just ran away from living beings. She wanted to survive, and she believed that people hindered that survival rate. She knew that the belief she had was dumb, most people succeeded with a group of people. Surviving by herself was working and if it works, she doesn’t want to try to change it.

Sebastian was born and raised in New York, and has barely ever left the city. His family was good people, and he was raised well. He was often bullied by other children for being such a mommy's boy when he was young, and it eventually got to him. He got very violent for a period during his childhood, and got into a lot of trouble. His father had a very serious talk to him after he'd been part of a gang fight, and he got a lot of time to think it over. He eventually ended on the conclusion that he wanted to believe in humanity, and that he shouldn't let everyone get him down. He still lives by this view of life, even after the war. He believes that the war was unfortunate, but that people may do drastic things when they are afraid.


He was out of town hiking with a couple of his friends when the bombs fell, and he hasn't seen his parents since. He's come to accept the fact that they're probably dead. His friends also left him when he claimed he wanted to live a quiet, peaceful life even in this desolate world. They wanted to go off and hunt the awful enhanced humans, which he of course begged them not to, but they didn't exactly listen.


He's been living alone, drifting around New York and keeping himself alive by scavenging and hunting the smelly creatures that occasionally can be found.

Egon is a pretty timid guy when you first meet him, quite, cooperative, a bit awkward if you try to talk to him but once you get to know him he is a bundle of mixed emotions, he is usually easy going and calm and remains joyful if he is around other people but he is a person who does not like being alone, so when he is alone thoughts get the best of him and his emotions grow gloomier and he becomes a bit angrier. He has always been the person to throw himself in a fire to save others, as well as being able to help others has always been the type of person he is, he's a team supporter but on to the deeper feelings.


Egon when alone is usually in an angry mood due to his thoughts, he will always think over scenarios in his head that could happen but for some reason he feels that he would always fail in these life or death scenarios. As well as he seems to get mad at himself a lot for no reason at all. The shadows of his past would always haunt him in his thoughts and he never really seemed to get rid of them, his past would torment him alone constantly. Overall Egon seems to keep his deep feelings under wraps a lot and remains silent unless approached.

Egon was raised in a rural farm in the state of Saxony, Germany. As a young boy he was very bright and resilient as his family was not the richest so they would have to live in poor conditions for the most part. Egon had a sister named Elena and it seems that his mother was going to have another child when Egon was 7, Egon was the oldest in the family but not by much as Elena was only a year behind. They were raised home-schooled and were thought pretty advanced subjects for some reason at such a young age but Egon never really seemed to question it. The family would regularly visit the nearby church and their priest, the church was usually empty aside from the Weekends and Egon never really understood why they would go so frequently when Egon turned 8, his sister also questioned this but on a lighter note as she seemed to enjoy the dull place.


One day Egon had woken up a bit early and was heading to the bathroom outside when he saw his parents speaking with the priest at the dining table, Egon peeked from the shadows as they conversed, his parents handed the priest two contracts it seemed signed by them while the priest compensated them with money, not much but still it was money, at first Egon was happy and he walked over and smiled in delight, he thanked the priest whom was grinning. The priest replied.


"Oh don't thank me.. Thank your parents, as well as Union."


A few short days later two men came and swiftly took them away, saying him and his sister had been selected to a special on board schooling program, before Egon had to leave he heard the priest say to his parents.


"The next child will be special as well."


After that they were sent to the Union laboratories in the U.S, over several years of torture and agony they learned English simply from hearing it enough times and reading it, they could speak the could speak the language pretty well considering their circumstances but it would be only after the breakout that Egon truly learned how to read, the acts that occurred inside those laboratories were unforgivable to Egon, as he grew older he realized he and his sister were simply sold to this company for experimenting, meaning Egon during the breakout caused the deaths of many of the laboratories scientists, to avenge the horrifyingly gruesome death of his sister due to an experiment going out of line. Inside the labs Egon could only think of keeping his sister alive and killing his parents one day, but he knew both those objectives may be impossible. He was never aware that so many things could be impossible.

Egon actually means "Sword's Edge" in the German Definition, I'll let you find the Irony later, Also he would much rather be shot than stabbed or slashed with a sword. Egon was sold to Union meaning he was subjected to even harsher experiments than usual, due to his status of being legally owned by Union, he was kept around more with a select group aside from the rest of the experimented. The money the couple would receive was pretty low, don't think big suitcase think like a wallet with a few 20s, he still knows german and has an accent with English a bit. Also forgive my rushed history.

She has been given a fourth cone in her eyes between the red and green cones that allows her to see over a million colors. Her vision is 20/2 meaning she can see something from 20 yards away that normal humans can only see if they are 2 yards away or less. Her sighted vision is equivalent to that of a hawks making her an asset in battle as she is able to see enemies clearly from farther distances.

Singing- Her mother always sang to her when she was a little girl and when she was being tested on, she would always hum to herself to keep herself calm. She has a natural soprano voice that is quite lovely when she sings out, but that is rare.

Direct light to her eyes. She is blinded by it and distracts her. Although she recovers quickly from it, the temporary blindness scares her and causes her to panic even after her vision is restored. The scientists used to study her by putting increasingly bright lights right up to her eyeballs causing her severe pain and temporary blindness. They always fixed her back up but the next time, it would be even worse. Ana also is powerless against a hefty cheeseburger.

Though Ana used to be a kind, fun loving little girl, she has now created a tough exterior and surrounded herself in a mental wall. She still has that kind girl that used to live in her, but she's buried it deep down and won't let it come out. She's realized that the easiest way to stay alive is to keep up a bitchy facade and not let anyone close to her. She has major trust issues and won't let anyone get close to her without them jumping over oceans to prove to her that they can be trusted. She makes plenty of sarcastic jokes and though she may seem like a total asshole at times, she really does care deeply for anyone that proves worthy of her love.

Taken by the Union at the age of 7, Ana has known nothing but the labs for most of her life. She has random memories from her past but most of it is hazy. One of the few memories that she was on her 5th birthday, when her parents were still together and alive. Her mom had gotten her a pretty dress that one of the neighbors had given them. It was purple and fluffy and had sparkles that weren't as shiny as they had once been but she still loved them nonetheless. Her cake was nothing but a simple vanilla cake and it didn't have any frosting but her mom had gotten some sugar and had written "Happy Birthday A" on it with that. Her only present was a beautiful gold locket that her parents had saved up for almost a year for that had a picture of all three of them in it from when Ana had been born. She still had that locket today.


Often times in the lab, she would fondle the locket with her fingers, finding comfort in knowing that her parents were in a better place now. They had been murdered by the Union when they had taken Ana and they had forced Ana to watch. That memory was shoved deep into the recesses of her brain. But sometimes it would surface. She remembered the look her mother had given her right before the soldier had cut her throat. She had looked straight into Ana's eyes and told her she loved her. Her dad had been shot in the head by another officer.


She had vowed to get out and avenge her parents death in any way that she could so when the revolt started, she was right at the front lines, fighting her way through everything. By some stroke of luck, she had managed to get out of it all alive. She had scars all along her arms and back from the fighting and she hated and loved them at the same time. They reminded her of what had happened to her and yet they also reminded her that she was alive and these were her tokens to prove just how hard she had fought to stay that way.

When she first meets a person, she will be extraordinarily shy and timid, but once she gets to know a person, she is known to be slightly sarcastic and teases quite a lot.

Emi was a mere toddler when the Union took her from her parents. At only 4, she was the first of the new "elemental" experiments, and the only one of the group who survived their enhancements. The scientests deemed her a success, though she could hardly even summon a snowflake. Immediately, they began testing her, training her.


They forced her into long hours of work, until she could make anything, freeze anything. 4 years of this, until, at 8, her enhancements could be controlled at all times except when she was unstable. Then, the scientists learned to keep away from her. Her ice spread over anything and everything, contained only by the walls of her cell. Her ice killed all in its path. Her ice terrified her.


When the war ended a year later, she took off by herself, not trusting herself to keep her powers under control. She vowed never to use them again. That vow was broken quite soon.


It became her form of defense, and her best offense. She killed those who tried to hurt her, and those who threatened to hurt other kids she saw. She grew up this way, only knowing a few other people, defending the weak from afar.


But now, as she grows older, she feels an unfamiliar ache. She wants to be with others, to befriend them, to interact with them instead of protecting them anonymously from afar.

It is said that a person can never view another in their true form. There are secrets hidden beneath everyone’s skin – some more serious than others. The secret this one holds is pretty clear – she is far from normal. She can never be considered ‘humane’. And, one may even go as far as to define this being as a monster - a pure psychopath. It is said that she feels nothing, says nothing, and thinks about only one thing – how your meat will taste on a platter. More refined than other killers of yore, she kills more or less indiscriminately. White, black, man, woman – it’s all the same when you get down to the knitty gritty. Only with true disdain can one say that she views the world. Life is experienced without laughter nor sadness, everything that she ever feels is ephemeral and never lasts long. She hates human contact and tends to keep to herself within the depths of her mind. She has recently discovered that she possesses quite the list of mental disorders, which she has to take daily medication for. Anxiety causes the being to be highly unpredictable, and when mixed with IED, it can cause her to be very unpredictable and violent over the most trivial things. Her depression makes her almost totally indifferent to a lot of things that happen around her, and her dissociative personality makes it so she feels as if she weren’t really there. This could be utilized to commit heinous acts against other humans, as it feels unreal or dream-like. She goes through her days holding absolute indifference for her peers and colleagues, even other adults, as she finds their problems and actions of no concern for her. Maria likes to spend her free time playing or listening to music, finding that it speaks more words to her than any living being ever could- a good way to gain her companionship is to share the same interests in music as her. She is a persistent woman who wishes to excel at everything she does, working very hard on certain things until she is physically ill or injured, because she must master everything. One of her biggest pet peeves is people that talk about themselves a lot- these are the kinds of people that bore her the most, and oftentimes you won’t get much of a reaction from her because (and this is a bit of a shocker) she doesn’t care. You cannot simply speak about yourself and expect her not to become rude- it’s not how she is. You are not her friend. Another thing that can make her snap or unexpectedly violent is human contact – that is, when another being other than her friends or family touches her. It throws her off, so to say – she can practically hear the soft fibers of the person’s skin scrape against hers, making a terrible sandpaper noise. It sends chills down her back to just think about that. She also despises the sounds a person makes when they’re eating, it makes her cringe and wish to tear the other’s head off. She can also smell the mixture of scents the food makes when mushed together in the person’s mouth, and this also triggers a rather violent reaction from her. She has been known to slap, punch, and even strangle other people when they’re overtly obnoxious with their food chewing. She just has a short temper, and it is wise not to make her angry.

Her past remains otherwise unknown to her. How she came to be is an anomaly that even the most knowledgeable people in the subject of the supernatural no nothing about. When she concentrates, she vaguely remembers being housed within a facility that was located somewhere within the Siberian Tundra. How she got out is another mystery for her - on one slide she remembers the cold frigid air of the facility. Oh the next slide, she is alone and extremely tired. She has spent a lot of her time drifting about, meeting new beings and always on the lookout for danger. She was given the title of 'The Cannibal' by her old acquaintance Fayina, whom she met in Russia some period of time after she had gotten out of The Facility. She has since spent quite the amount of time in Europe, and was in Germany when the world began to crumble. Chaos erupted from other enhanced beings like herself, their bodies and capabilities far exceeding those of the helpless humans beneath them. When she was certain the fights would not end, she packed a black backpack with her jacket and hat, and fled into the woods, where she had decided to wait out the battle for control. The human inquiries were none of her business, and she didn't care about the outcome. When the bombs came, she had just settled into her life as a feral being. The blast was overpowering. She knew that this was the end of days - the humans had finally destroyed themselves.. She has wandered about ever since.

Erin himself is a boisterous and confident person when he's with his friends and girlfriend. He possesses a good sense of humor, and loves to swap stories, for he possess quite the creative mind. Erin had a bland life- a mother, a father, and a little dog to top things off. His family had an average middle class income- $20,000 a year with both parents working. By the time Erin was a teenager, he hated coming home to the same uneventful lifestyle every day. He resented his parents and their disdain for change. They resented Erin's constant hunger for something new. So, when he was fifteen, he threw a middle finger to the sky and ran off. He became a little punk that loves a good thrill, and gathered enough money to tattoo himself like a skeleton. After about four years away from home, one year after he got his tattoos, and five minutes after being incarcerated for a minor infraction, he met her. Everleigh, his Bone Baby. She was sitting in the holding cell across from him, a dark cloud seeming to cover her features. Somehow, he managed to catch her attention with a well- placed smile and a few words of small talk. Fate stepped in and decided that they would also get released at the same time. After that, they had been practically inseparable.


When the tension between normal humans and the enhanced ones increased, Ever had gone back to her family, concerned for their safety. Our own heroine has been on his own for a good four years. He had been out of the general range of the nuclear blasts as they had fallen, and his exposure to the radiation was kept at a minimal amount. He has utilized his street knowledge and physical strength to remain alive for this long.

To be frank, Ben doesn't exactly take his life very seriously, even with the whole, "The World is Dead" sort of environment he lives in.


If Ben had any friends, they would probably describe him as a fun guy to be around. No matter what the situation his, he always tends to keep a comedic, and happy nature about him. It's quite difficult to get him upset, and no, he doesn't become a monster if you somehow manage to turn his smile into a frown. In fact, the worst you could probably do is make him sulk in a corner.


He's a natural prankster and takes joy out of making practical jokes. Of course, it's been ten years since he's really ever made a friend, so his practical joke skills may be a bit rusty.


Despite his childish nature, Benjamin isn't exactly stupid. In fact, the very opposite. After all, how else would he be able to come up with such ingenious pranks?

Benjamin lived the regular life of you're everyday fifteen-year-old. Enter the world, get your parents murdered within the first few minutes of your life, get kidnapped and raised by enhanced humans... You know, the usual.


Ben's mother had gone into labor as she and his father were evacuating their home. Leave it to Ben to decide to come out at the most inopportune time... The couple pushed on despite the major setback. They were determined to have their child in a safer place, but you can't postpone what's bound to happen.


Without a better option, they rushed into an abandoned Union Research Center. It wasn't a hospital, but the lab had medical resources sufficient enough to support Ben's mother. Luckily enough, a few people noticed their situation as they entered the building and rushed in to help.


It seemed that there seemed to still be hope in this world, as the birth was successful, but that glimmer of hope quickly disappeared as enhanced humans burst into the room, guns pointed and the thirst for blood raging. After taking in the surroundings, the enhanced humans jumped to the conclusion that the birth of young Ben had been for the purpose of more experiments, shooting down everyone in the room in an instant. As sad is it may sound, the whole incident occurred within seconds. Any emotions that were felt were ended in a quick gunshot to the head.


One of the enhanced scooped the crying baby into her arms, making the decision then to raise this child with plans to give it a life without the experiments and abuse she believed he had ahead of him

Ben was brought into an underground hideout, created by the enhanced humans themselves. It didn't take long considering their incredible abilities. Life went on like that: living deep under the ground as his "legal guardians," went up to fight the war. They raised him with as much care and love as the enhanced believed they could give. It wasn't much, but they cared about him , and did what they could to keep him safe. Every once in a while, they would bring him up to show him what the chaotic world looked like, teaching him different combat techniques and so on. However, since Ben was just a toddler, none of the information seemed to register itself into his head.


It was at the age of five when a large explosion sounded from above ground. It didn't take much to know that the sound came from many mile away, yet he heard it loud and clear from his underground home.

Often hot tempered, Diane rarely holds back her thoughts and rarely lies. Whenever you talk with her you know you're getting the truth and all of it. This can put her in bad positions sometimes, but generally her words offer more help than insult.


Though when shes not in such the nasty mood, Diane can be fantastic company. She enjoys teaching others what she knows and learning from them in return as long as it is something worth learning.


In addition to this, you'll find that she prefers the peace and quiet that comes with being in forests rather than hustling noisy crowds of people. Luckily because of the last war wiping out nearly all of the world's population she rarely has to deal with crowds anymore.

Most people detested the third world war and rightly so, but not Diane. For by the time the war had come around she had already so little to lose.


She had been born in the suburban outskirts of New York with a large and obnoxiously annoying family, which was only amplified by the fact that the entirety of her kin had lived under one household.


While Diane liked most of her relatives individually, it was when they all came together that she couldn't stand them. With every single person shouting and the rambunctious tension created by her family she would be forced to leave the house.


Once outside, the calm forest would always lull her into it's depths. There she practiced her fencing techniques as a hobby. That is until her father left the family and her mother fell fatally ill within the same year.


Diane had been only a little over 7 when her mother finally passed away. Suddenly, the world seemed much more brutal and darker in the young girl's mind. So when the last world war began to eradicate the rest of Earth's population, Daine was already prepared for the harshness that the world had just been plummeted into.


Slowly her large family began to disperse as the war got worse and worse. Her kin fled from New York, hoping to find shelter farther inland and Diane never heard from them since.


Thus, she began a new life growing up alone, learning how to hunt, defend herself, and how to avoid (for the most part) the dangers that the enhanced humans brought along with them.

Rivern is kind of hard to put into words. He can't really be defined as a single personality, since that tends to very depending on his situation. Although, it's not as if he changes dramatically or anything.


Rivern is a very nonchalant person. He doesn't really react to things as much as one should. Even the subject of his own death is something he doesn't really care about. If he dies, he dies. If he wins...he doesn't really know what to do then...


Although Rivern goes with the flow of things, there are some things he will never be okay with. One of these things include unsatisfying endings. Wherever it be in books, plays, or films, he doesn't like endings that don't give a feeling of satisfaction. In fact, that is perhaps the only thing he's okay with in his situation. Go out with a bang. It wouldn't be a very satisfying end if he simply died of starvation.


He does as he pleases really. One minute, he could be helping others and the next he can completely ignore them. It all comes down to what he feels like doing. Although, this doesn't make him a stubborn child. Logic overtakes desire. If what he wants to do is analyzed as a poor decision in his mind, he won't do it. However, if he sees no red flags, he's all for it.


Rivern will never change himself to please others. What you see is what you get. Whether it's his personality or even his clothing choice, he will not become a different person than what he is, in order to suit another person's tastes. He sees it as a form of lying, not just to the world, but yourself as well. He doesn't lie, unless he seems it necessary. In that case, he's a great deceiver.


Despite what you might think, he's actually not a bad guy. He doesn't judge people and will treat them like he would anyone else. Even if you hate him with a burning passion, those feelings will never be reciprocated. He treats everyone how he feels like treating them.

Pain. Such a constant emotion it felt as if it had been melted into the young Riverns mind making it part of his personality. Though unlike many others he had not been brought into such a terrible business as an infant, but at the age of five. Now he didn't remember much from his childhood, small moments reappearing within his mind here and there.


But he remembered the bright lights which made the ever lasting New York impossible to forget despite the age. Rivern had gotten himself lost within the labrynth of streets when he let go of his mothers hand for a single moment. He awaited her cries of his name as he searched his surroundings waiting for her face to appear or for her hands to take hold of his shoulders.


But rather then his mothers soft caring touch he was roughly grabbed by a stranger, a man he soon observed to be working with the nutty scientists. For years before the revolt he went through many tests as others did, testing his physical build and his breathing patterns when put in different situations. Rivern remembered having to escort himself through mazes as the ground below him zapped at the bottom of his feet. Such events scarring them with burns.


Not much except the tests are remembered but he was so young he personally wouldn't be surprised if he was in a living coma state. The shock of his whole situation melting hislife with fiction before drifting away to the back of his mind only to return during his sleep.

Shotgun Tinkering: Calvin might like screwing around with old weaponry, but he knows his way around shotguns. Dragon's Breath rounds, beanbags, you name it and he'll probably have his variant of ammo. Modifications? Easily done. Repairs? He can do that.


Old Technology Tinkering: Calvin loves to tinker with old technology. He's at least moderately skilled in understanding the fundamental workings of old technology, and doubly so in motorcycles.

Nearly illiterate: Calvin can read, but due to crippling dyslexia is either given the wrong information, leading to either awkward or dangerous situations. For example, he might walk into the ladies' bathroom, unbeknownst to him. Or, he might walk into a room full of active turrets because he couldn't read the graffiti.


Stubborn: Things are done the way Calvin does them, or not at all. That's his motto, and has gotten Calvin run out of the settlement he came from.


Range: Shotguns have around sixty meters of effective range, less so in the hands of an untrained soldier. Calvin is neither a soldier nor trained, and is therefore less effective with them.

Calvin is usually a silent person, either concentrating on his surroundings or on some plan of his. Once drunk, he becomes somewhat aggressive and very talkative. He isn't easily distracted, but reacts violently to something that does (e.g. someone barging in when he's making ammo or modifications for his shotgun or baseball bat, or just working on something in general).


While outside, he's usually on guard, scavenging for food or parts, and invariably talks little. He's twitchy, yet not trigger happy, and usually avoids the darker parts of the metro.


?????????: Born only a seven years before the War, Calvin knows little of the time before the bombs hit. His father, as a military man, was lucky to be on medical leave when the bombs hit, due to him losing his left leg and having to acclimate to the prosthetic. His mother, as a mechanic, was luckily able to keep the leg in a somewhat working state after everything went to hell.


His parents tried to teach him to read, but it was a lost cause. He complained about the letters moving on their own. Painstakingly, he learned how to read his name. After this, his mother decided to see if she could teach him bit by bit about old technology, even if she had to make do without text books for him to read. He'd have to do with only the practical knowledge.


And for nine years, Calvin soaked up the knowledge like a sponge. He repaired his parents' old motorcycle a few weeks afterward, for the first time.


Life like that wouldn't last, as they had to constantly move. His father, as ex-military, wasn't exactly loved. His mother's skills were wanted, but his father wasn't. Eventually, his father's luck ran out, and he got shot. His mother blew up the settlement responsible in revenge. It wouldn't help Calvin, who had been outside of the settlement when it happened.


When he came back, there was nothing left of the settlement. Although various friends of his parents tried to take him in, he accepted nothing but the offer of a shotgun and some ammo.


He then went into a somewhat abandoned part of New York, and hauled some crates together in a room on the first floor of a simple house. He gets supplies from scavenging a nearby garage and small-time grocery store, and uses its basement as a workshop. It's his first time alone in the wilds, and it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for bandits to notice him...

The girl was born in a small city in a tropical country and never knew anything about her father, except that he was a scientist. She was raised up by her mother - a teacher - also a woman acknowledged as the perfect modern mother - kind, intelligent and caring. But under the mother's influence, she grew up not very normally, like a bird in the cage, not knowing anything about the world around, thinking that life was easy and nice - an honest being so far.

Everything changed when she - at the age of six - was discovered as having a serious health problem. Her cells and hormones didn't keep up to her age, and her heart was quite weak, that decreased her health badly. Having not much of a choice, her mother decided to bring her to the US, where the environment and the medical care were better than her nation.

Little by little, though her disease was not getting much better, she developed high endurance to pain and a bit in stamina, in comparison to others, though any sudden change could get to her heart and if involved in high pace activities, the stamina also couldn't help her at all.

Yet, before she could regain a normal life, the war broke out and the world around her again changed dramatically. Yet, mother and daughter tried to hang on together, trying to survive until the bombing incident, which caused her to lose her mother and have to wander alone, picking up some little ones, gathering up some other young ones to become a group, fighting and supporting each other to survive.

Other: Ruby always thinks about how strange human beings are, how they always think and act so out of her understanding. She could tell what common sense is, she also could come to some decree of understanding, but the root of all, the real thoughts of people are always mysterious to her. You could tell she's lost, being alone in the world.

Agility: Nyx has always been a slender, agile person, but since the war, she now almost feels at home on the rough, unsteady terrain she lives on. From jumping on rooftops to evading attacks, she makes up for her lack of strength easily.

Trapping: Nyx primarily gets her food from traps, and has learned the best ways to catch any animals that she might stumble upon.

Weak: She isn't the strongest person in the world, to be simple. Hand-to-hand combat is definitely not her thing, as she would much rather prefer simply sneaking up on somebody and stab them in the back than actually fighting.




Distrusting: Nyx continues to follow the childish motto of 'stranger danger'. If she doesn't know someone she is extremely suspicious of both them and their motives, which makes it difficult for her to find any sort of acquaintances. This proves annoying for her because she really does want 'friends'.

Nyx is a very hardworking person. She catches onto things easily, and gets frustrated at others quickly if they don't. Once she sets her mind to do something she forces herself to finish it, no matter how hard the job is. She sets and complies to her own standards, and doesn't try to meet others. She's very efficient in everything she does, and doesn't like to be slowed down by herself or others, and gets equally mad at both. She tries and usually succeeds at being self-reliant, and wishes to depend on herself at most to all times; but if she's in need of help and it's offered, Nyx is willing to swallow her pride.


Nyx is often lonely, and loves to have someone to talk to. She doesn't like to go without interactions with others for long periods of times, and always likes to have some sort of acquaintance around. However, she doesn't like it when people constantly talk to her, and finds those who try to make useless small talk annoying. She tends to act reserved around strangers, and likes to observe others before showing her true personality. She can be a very friendly person once you get to know her, and tries to be reliable to those who's trust she's earned. She doesn't like to deal with people who show lots of unneeded sympathy towards others, especially those who pity anyone she considers to be her enemy. She thinks that they haven't determined their allegiance, and can't be trusted.

Nyx was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her parents divorced at such a young age that she doesn't even remember it, and her father moved to New York soon after. Her mother stayed in their hometown only because Nyx refused to change schools, and had planned to move as soon as she graduated. She had hoped to go to college in New York, and then move wherever she wished and live without the confines of her overprotective mother. While she stayed with her mother most of the time, she occasionally visited her father on holidays or during the summer, or just whenever she felt like going to see him and her mother allowed it. She was with her father when the bombs were dropped, and hasn't had any contact with her mother since. Nyx can only assume she's dead. Her and her father were forced to learn how to survive in the ruins of their country, and they worked together well until he was killed in an ambush when she was 17.

Since his death, Nyx has became a thief and steals whatever she can from those who are more fortunate than her, and between that and anything she finds for herself she's managed to somehow survive in the desolated city. She's heard rumors of powerful "enhanced" humans, but has only met a few for herself and doesn't believe them to be all they're made out to be, and sees them as equals to her. They were lab rats, after all. It's not like they were treated well or anything, so it's obvious that if anyone's better, it's those who are normal. They're the ones who got to live in society and interact normally.
