Cruze and Mobius RP

Marley gave a nod of her head to what he said."Probably a bit of both," she commented as they neared the arena. She noticed that people were starting to line up and she hoped that they wouldn't be noticed, not when they had to do another sound check. They couldn't lose any time now.It was one thing if they didn't have to sound check."That's a lot of people..." She mumbled almost silently as she began to bite one of her nails, unable to help herself.

When they made it back,Marley had moved from biting her nail to fiddling with a piece of her hair. It's just sound check,it's not the actual show, she kept telling herself. She took a quick glance over at Blake, before saying quietly, sounding nervous,"That was fun.Thanks." After that, she set her bag down on a table, planning on taking it into the bus after the sound check.

Blake walked inside, glancing back at here now and then, seeing her biting we nails and playing with her hair. She was getting nervous, understandably. He yawned gently followed by shaking his head, trying to keep himself awake. The band members were starting to head off to the stage so Blake got a few of his things and worked his way to the stage.

Marley's comment made him half smile. "Any time," he said softly, hearing her nerves. "Hey, just make sure you throw up in the brown bag provided" he joked, trying to help lighten her spirits a little more.

Marley laughed at his joke, finding it humorous."I expect to find it by my floor tom's stick holder," she told him as she grabbed her sticks and a drum key as a just in case. She then grabbed her stick bag that she figured she would just leave up behind her kit.It wasn't like she sawed through sticks.Ever.She just wanted to be prepared in case she dropped enough sticks to need more than the spares in the holder. After that, she made her way to the stage, feeling like she might need a brown bag."What song are we checking with?" She asked him as she reached the stage and climbed up the three steps to get on top of it.There was the kit.Her new custom one was still being made, but the old Skillet shimmery black DW kit would definitely serve it's purpose...if only she had played it more.

Blake looked back at her "Hero," he said with a smile "Time to kill it," he said with a smile as he looked at her. Blake looked back at the group ready to get the concert started. He took a deep break, waiting for the guys to get comfortable and started.

Marley paced slowly back and forth as she listened to the opening sound effects for the show, eyes somewhat wide as she stared at the dark floor. You can do this...you can do this...you know how to play it like the back of your hand...you can hit the notes...you can play while singing the notes...you can do this...you've got this... She kept telling herself as she went back and forth, waiting for her cue to go up on stage.Every second felt like near agony and she was pretty sure that if the mark didn't come soon she might have to turn on her heels and make a delivery to the bathroom sink or the nearest trashcan. Finally, after the short time that felt like hours,"I need a hero" sounded and the effects kicked it up a notch. That was her cue to head up on stage and get situated since it took her longer than the guitarist and especially Blake."Here goes nothing..." She breathed out as she started up the three metal steps on the side of the stage and headed over to the riser her kit was set up on.She took a glance towards where the screaming fans were hidden by the thin black curtain with "Skillet" on the front in their logo. The sound of their cheers gave her some adrenaline and she felt like her sick feeling was changing in a weird way.It was still there and she was still terrified of blowing chunks over her kit,but it seemed to maybe be calming a bit.

Marley made her way up the riser and sat down on her drum throne, quickly adjusting its position and grabbing the pair of sticks she left on her floor tom.The sequence was almost over and she pictured how she looked on the giant screen. She smiled slightly at that as she looked down at her foot on her bass drum pedal. When the opening ended, she started a "chick chick" sound on the hihat with eighth notes and looked over to the other members who would be coming up now.Now her nerves were turning to adrenaline and she anticipated the moment when the whole band would start to play and the curtain would drop, revealing them to the crowd.

(I can't remember if we kept the name Skillet or came up with our own...well,it's Skillet now lol.)

Blake wondered a bit, keeping an eye on Marley. He really wanted to make sure she would be alright for this, he remembered the first big concert he did, it wasn't easy for him either, no matter how outgoing he was. He took a deep breath as the lights started up and the crowd started to cheer. He took a deep breath, starting to feel the adrenaline rushing through his body. He kept his breathing steady and watched as Marley went out to get ready, followed by the other bad members. Once they were out and it was Blakes cue, he started to head out on the stage. "Good Evening *insert town here* Are you ready for a great night?!" he yelled into the mic as he walked on the stage hearing the crowd yell. "What's that?!" he called again and the screams were louder. He smiled gently and then started to sing.

Marley looked out at the crowd as she kept her solid beat on the hihat, managing to smile despite her nerves and worries. While Blake spoke to the crowd, she led the band through the beginning of Hero, trying to not focus to hard because over focusing was bound to mess her up.Okay, you have to sing in the next measure, she told herself as she entered the verse, playing it simple knowing that once she got more comfortable she could add more stuff to it like she had worked out. When it came time for her to sing, she leaned somewhat towards her mic and closed her eyes, hoping she would do alright.Oh,yeah! She thought when she sang it right.Maybe she wouldn't kill the band for wanting to open with a song she sang in.

Once the song was over,Marley got a momentary break for the lead in to their next song, which was Whispers in the Dark, one of her favorites to play. She glanced down at Blake, still smiling from the cheers of the crowd, and hoped that she was doing as okay as she thought she was.

Blake looked back at Marley when her part came up and he smiled warmly and then he picked up after her. The sing finished and Blake took a breath, he went to grab some water they had put in a convenient place for him. Marley was doing great, He knew they had picked a great drummer, and hopefully she was seeing that it wasn't too difficult, He glanced back at her with a subtle thumbs up. Blake then went into the next song.

Marley smiled when she noticed Blake's slight thumbs up and she shook her head just slightly. She had been worrying to much.As the show went on,she got more and more comfortable, ending up showing off by the time the show almost came to an end.She tossed her sticks and twirled them, all while playing her heart out.Her poor drums must have been crying because she was hitting hard by the end of the night. When they finished playing their last song, she hopped off of her riser and headed towards the side of the stage, out of breath and sweaty, but genuinely happy. She'd get a moment to breath while they let the crowd cheer for an encore...just a moment."So...how am I doing?" She asked anybody in particular once they all were off the stage and waiting.

Blake kept singing, continually feeding off the crowds energy, he was having a blast like normal. He would keep an eye on Marley during the beginning to make sure she was holding up alright. When she started getting comfortable he stopped worrying about her and just kept on, giving the audience the best entertainment that he could. Finally he got to go off stage and he walked down the steps looking at Marley. "You did great, couldn't be prouder" he said and the others had agreed with him. He went and gave her a hug.

Blake was always pretty friendly and tend to have lots of hugs, wasn't unusual, but for some reason he felt he just made a big mistake. "Sorry" he said trying to laugh it off.

Marley looked over at Blake when he spoke and she smiled afterwards.Good.She was more than glad that it wasn't just her who thought she did well. When he suddenly hugged her,her eyes widened for a moment, but she hugged him back and shook her head when he apologized."Why're you apologizing?" She asked, cocking her head slightly in confusion before she looked towards their manager."Time to get back up there for the encore," he told them as he motioned towards the stage.Mar nodded and started back up towards her kit, smiling widely when she heard the crowd begin to scream and cheer when they seen her.

Marley response to his apology made him feel a little more awkward. "I don't know, honestly" he said and then laughed a little. While he still had time, bale tried to get more water in his system before going out for the encore. Once the rest went up he grabbed the mic and then went back on the stage. "Alright guys, since you asked loud enough, we're going to give it to ya." He said into the mic, slightly out of breath from all the movement.

"But before we do, can I get a shout out for our new drummer, Marley? It's her first concert with us, and she's doing great! Isn't she?" He spoke into the mic followed by a roar from the crowd. He looked back at Marley and smiled now ready to go into the song.

Marley twirled one of her sticks when she picked them back up.She then pushed back her somewhat sweaty hair and looked towards Blake when he spoke, thinking on what their final song was.Rebirthing, one of the band's biggest hits. She prepared for her cue to wail the snare, but when Blake mentioned her,she outwardly laughed a bit, trying to hide her blushing cheeks. When the crowd roared, she began a mini drum solo, using her double pedal along with doing rolls on the toms.To end it,she did a quick driving groove with straight double bass. When she finished, she stood up and playfully bowed before nodding towards the violinist that she was ready, adjusting her click track while she waited.

Blake laughed at Marley's reaction, happy to see her comfortable on stage. He could tell that this was going to go well, anyone who gets comfortable that quickly is bound to succeed. Once the song started Blake looked at the guitarist and then the bassist getting ready for their last song.

Marley came in on her mark and the pyro blasters went off when she hit the crash to go into the pre-verse.She wasn't exactly glad that they used pyro because, even though it wasn't like she was right up against it,she felt the heat and she wasn't happy about that when she was as hot as she was. When the song finally finished, she hopped off of the riser and walked to the front of the stage, waving her sticks towards the crowd and putting her free hand by her ear to let them know that she wanted to hear them cheer. They erupted and she ended up handing one to a kid in the front one and tossing the other out into the crowd. When she finished, she gave a quick wave and headed off stage. She sighed quietly and breathed,"I survived that..."

Blake sang with the song and he kept on strong for the song. He was happy things had been going so smoothly. Finally the song was over and Blake took a bow as the others did their farewells to the crowd. "Good night guys! It was great being with all of you tonight!" He said and then waved and stepped off the stage behind the others. He walked up behind Marley and patted her on the back "great job, Marley" he said with a smile and then went back stage to go and sit down and relax.

Marley felt a hand pat against her back and she looked over to see who owned it.She smiled at Blake pushed her hair behind her shoulders. She went with him backstage and told him,"Thanks...I didn't pass out so that was good." She chuckled before continuing,"It felt natural...I guess it will get easier." Then she took a seat on one of the chairs in the band's dressing room, despite having her own with some of the other women on the tour, and sighed quietly."Don't we play a festival and have a meet and greet tomorrow?" She asked as she closed her eyes, her head leaning back against the chair.

Blake laughed a little, "No, no you didn't. We'll consider that confirmation that we made a good pick for a new drummer," he said with a smile, sitting down and leaning his head back on the couch. His eyes were starting to drift off, but he still managed to hear Marley's question. "Yeah, So get what sleep you can, cause we'll probably be up for quite some time, and those things get exhausting quick," Blake said in a slowly dying voice. He was tired as it is, a normal thing for him after a concert. "I think I'm gonna just fall asleep right here..." he muttered and then was almost instantly out.

Marley smiled at what he said. She couldn't be happier that they had chosen her to be their new drummer. She knew that, once she got over her nerves, she would enjoy it even more. What he said next made her yawn for some reason."Great..." She breathed before she drifted off.

After a little while, she felt their manager gently shaking her shoulder."Wake up,we've got to get going.Everybody on the bus!" He announced as Marley woke up groggily, stretching her arms and sleepily moaning.

Blake was sound asleep. That was k w thing about him, when he slept, it was almost impossible to wake him up, and slightly dangerous. He had a tendency to spaz out when people woke him up and flailed, almost knocking people out sometimes.

"who's turn is it to wake up Blake?" The bassist asked, knowing they all dreaded it. "Marley, I vote Marley" the guitarist said groggily. "But be careful, he's violent." He warned as he made his way to the tour buss, looking back though, wanting to see how it would go.

Marley rubbed her eyes as she slowly stood up,not paying attention to what the others were saying until she heard her name."Wait, what?" She asked as she looked around before she laid eyes on the still sleeping Blake.Oh,crap... She thought before she looked around the room.In the corner, she still had a stick bag from when she practiced earlier. With a sigh, she headed over and took out a stick before making her way over to Blake.Standing a little distance away, she reached out and poked his chest with the stick a few times."Blake, time to go...Blake," she said as she repeated the process with the stick.

Blake moaned slightly and batted the stick away. "Go away..." he mummered, but much to his avail, it didn't stop. He started to move a little more violently, this time hearing a voice. 'Blake...' he heard in a hesitant voice. It was sweet, that of a girl. He slowly opened one green eye and looked at the figure. It was Marley. "Oh," he whispered softly, "Oh," he said a little bolder. "Sorry." he said in a mumbled voice. Groggily getting up and collecting some of his things. "More sleep on the bus..." he whispered and cuddled to his jacket, walking towards the tour bus.

Marley was prepared to dodge something because she wasn't sure what to expect from him.If she wasn't still recovering somewhat from her own grogginess she would have giggled a bit at him when he tried to get her to stop and then woke hp without a realization of the world.Once he was up,she sighed quietly and went over to grab her practice pad and the bag of sticks, putting the other one in the snug holder designed for then. Then she headed towards the tour bus, giving a smirk to guitarist when she noticed he was watching."Give the baby of the band the rough jobs, huh?" She said to him before she headed outside and to the tourbus where their manager was impatiently waiting.

Blake got into the bus and instantly laid down on the bed. He sighed deeply, his body slowly starting to wake up. The gutarist laughed a little, "Yup, and bravo to you. Normally people get slapped," he said laughed a little as he followed her to this bus. Blake heard the band manager say something to him, but he was too inchocherent to care. "When is it nap time?" he asked with a yawn as he cuddled up to his pillow that he had retrieved from the bus.

"I always have a clever way to get out of trouble," Marley told the guitarist with a slight laugh before she looked towards the manager."You all have a busy day ahead of you tomorrow,so rest up!It's a festival tomorrow and you know how crazy they are," he said before he went and sat down on the couch in the bus, turning the TV on and beginning to channel surf.Marley sighed and glanced towards Blake."You couldn't give me an easier schedule?" She asked with a chuckle before she went and changed into her pajamas, doing that in the small bathroom in the bus. Then she came out, stretched her arms, and got into her bunk, which was on the bottom. The aisle had eight bunks, four on the left in two rows and four on the right in two rows. The back of the bus had the main bed as well as a flat screen TV.On the other side of the "bunk aisle" was the door to the bathroom on the right, the mini kitchen (if it could be called that) with the counter and cupboards and microwave. Then there was a couch on the left and a table with two booth-like seats that we're like the couch cut in half. The table folds down to turn into a bed need be.A flat screen TV hung just above that on the right. Then a curtain pulled over to separate the driving area from the rest of the bus.

Marley yawned as she pulled the covers up close to her face and pulled her phone out, fooling around on it for a little bit."Does the bunk ever lose its claustrophobic feeling?" She asked nobody in particular as she adjusted her pillow a little.
