  ong ago, when humans and vampires first united and found out about each other, they decided on a compromise to keep the vampire race a secret from the humans that would come in the future. The vampires could kill an innocent three times a year to get their fill, while feeding and making the human forget for the rest of the year. Of course this wasn’t the perfect solution for the vampires, but the royal family agreed as there were significantly less vampires than humans.
  
  One human, Hugh McCarty, was of witch’s blood and could see that this so-called treaty wouldn’t last long. Being as he hated violence and didn’t want his descendants to be part of a war, he made a drastic decision. So, a spell was cast and a prophecy was made for years in the future.
  
  In one hundred and fifty years time, the sun and the moon will both shine. For when the supernatural and the humans must combine, this will be the chosen ones’ time. From one shall come the supernatural’s victory, from the other shall be their return to the mortal realm.
  
  Exactly one hundred and fifty years later, a handful of human children were born on the night that the prophecy was made. Both species knew of the prophecy and had decided that when the children turned seventeen, they’d be sent to the mansion that houses vampires of royal blood, basically having been raised as lambs for slaughter.
  
  They are to live with the young princes and princesses for the year leading up to the humans’ eighteenth birthday. They can kill whenever they’d like, however if they suck dry the child of the moon, the vampire race will grow stronger and be able to rule the entire world rather than the small corner they’d been given. If they drain the child of the sun, however, the vampire race will turn to dust and go extinct for good.
  
  How will the humans fare when they realize what sort of creatures they’re living with? Must the prophecy come true or is there a way for the two species to live together peacefully?

  The children of the Queen and King of the damned, are the royal vampires. There doesn't have to be ten but I feel like it's a fair number and if any love triangles or anything wants to happen we can have that work too.
