Muse A and Muse B met as kids in an orphanage. They became quick friends and partners in crime, until Muse A was adopted and no longer allowed to see Muse B.
Muse A was raised by their adoptive father in a strict but loving household. Muse A's father is a cop, and Muse A has followed in his footsteps and become a detective.
Muse B ran away from the orphanage shortly after Muse A was adopted. They lived on the streets, participating in some sketchy business to stay alive.
Years later, Muse A and Muse B cross paths when Muse A's father is killed in a drug bust done wrong and Muse B is a suspect. Muse B disguises themselves as a CI and partners up with Muse A to try to keep the cops off their trail. They fall for each other, Muse A but realizing that Muse B is their childhood friend or the suspect of their father's murder.
