She has long and thick strawberry blonde hair that is naturally wavy and always impeccably styled, there is NEVER a hair out of place.
eyes
Lydia has steely blue eyes that look almost grey in some lights. Framed by thick lashes and delicate, angular features, her eyes are one of the first things that people so often compliment her about. Lydia has her mother's eyes and is very frequently told she looks just like her mother.
build
Lydia is a petite little thing with little muscle definition to speak of, however she was blessed with curves in all the right places, with rounded shoulders and perky attributes cloaked in porcelain skin. She tries her very hardest to conform her body to the objective standards of feminine beauty.
modifications
Her ears are pierced, but she has no tattoos, scars or other piercings. While she appreciates the beauty and individuality others often find through expressing themselves via body modifications, Lydia prefers a more natural look.

persona
personality
Lydia was born to be a lover, not a fighter... but that doesn't mean she's necessarily complied to that expectation. She gets easily frustrated when she's told she can't do something and feels she's spent her whole life being underestimated. Honest to a fault, she's never been shy about voicing her mind which frequently caused strife between her and her mother. Despite this, she has always been a kind person. She strives to see the best in people and is more interested in someone's morals than their status. She lets her heart lead her actions, especially when her heart is telling her to fight for something. She's compassionate and empathetic, however those traits are often taken advantage of. Lydia has an insatiable taste for adventure and wants to be so much more than just a pretty face.

Vices and Virtues
Vices:
Lydia can be incredibly stubborn. She picked this up from her mother. She's the type of person that would burn a bridge while she's standing on it just to make a point.
Sometimes she would go out of her way to start an argument with her mother. She consistently pushed the limits of her patience in an effort to try and free herself of some of the many expectations that her mother placed upon her.
Virtues:
Lydia is exceptionally compassionate - she's the type who would give her last dollar to someone in need... or to lay her neck on the line to protect a stranger.
She is relatively intelligent and got a scholarship to attend Crescent Hill University.
She has a sense of adventure and wants to see the world. She believes you can't really know a place until you've been there.
Lydia is not quick to pass judgement. Instead, she will barter her time and wait, acquiring as much information as possible before forming an opinion on someone.

Persona
personality
In a word, abrasive. Theo runs hot, often drawing attention to himself when he enters a room, he is not afraid to show others that he is, in fact, a genuine threat and sometimes goes out of his way to start a fight. His anger drives him, and he carries with him a resentment for any and all things self righteous. While his cool exterior and relatively devil may care attitude may persuade some to believe otherwise, Theo is incredibly closed off and guarded when it comes to the more personal aspects of his life. Most of his relationships, whether romantic or plutonic, are incredibly superficial. His loyalty runs deep, though it is not granted to anyone at the moment besides his younger sister. If you're on his side, he'll tolerate you, but if you're not on his side you should hope you don't catch his attention. While he strives to exude control over all things in his life, he fails miserably when it comes to throttling his anger. Underneath his facade, Theo is actually very perceptive and even feels great empathy for those who are worse off than himself, but he would never let anyone see that lest risk being called weak. Despite all of this, socializing comes fairly easy to him. He is charismatic and charming when he wants to be, which is likely why he's had so much "success" in the field of women so far, though he would never voluntarily allow himself to develop any genuine feelings.

Personality:
Driven by Vengeance: Rhys’s core motivation is rooted in the trauma of his family's murder. His pursuit of revenge is deeply personal, fueling much of his decisions and actions. This makes him determined, with a relentless focus on achieving his goals, no matter the cost. Calculating and Strategic: Growing up as part of a family of hunters, Rhys was trained to be tactical and methodical. He’s not impulsive; instead, he carefully plans every move, analyzing weaknesses and looking for opportunities to gain the upper hand. Ruthless and Pragmatic: While once guided by a moral code, Rhys’s desire for power has caused him to abandon those principles. He’s willing to do whatever it takes, whether that involves manipulating others, making dark pacts, or using forbidden knowledge. Morality now takes a backseat to his hunger for control. Cold and Reserved: The trauma he endured has left him emotionally distant. Rhys has become cold, rarely showing vulnerability or compassion. He believes emotional attachments are weaknesses, so he keeps others at arm’s length. Obsessive: Power is not just a goal but an obsession for Rhys. His thirst for control is insatiable, and he continually seeks out greater strength, even at the risk of losing his humanity.
Charismatic but Manipulative: Rhys knows how to charm and manipulate those around him when it serves his interests. His charisma can draw people in, but he uses it to control them, often exploiting their desires and fears. Conflicted: Despite his descent into darkness, Rhys occasionally reflects on the legacy of his family and the path he has chosen. There are moments when he questions whether he is becoming the very thing his family fought against, but his thirst for power always pushes him forward.
History:
Rhys was born into the Arkwright family, a lineage of legendary supernatural hunters who had, for generations, tracked, studied, and eliminated creatures of the night. Unlike many hunters who acted out of fear or hatred, the Arkwrights prided themselves on their meticulous knowledge of the supernatural world. Their family motto, "Through knowledge, we conquer," reflected their belief that understanding their enemies—vampires, werewolves, witches, and other mystical beings—was the key to defeating them. They saw themselves as protectors of humanity, ensuring that these dark forces remained in check.
From a young age, Rhys was trained in the family’s craft. He learned how to identify supernatural creatures, their weaknesses, and the best ways to hunt them. His childhood was filled with lessons on ancient rituals, combat techniques, and the art of crafting specialized weapons. He was taught that the Arkwrights did not kill indiscriminately; they hunted only those supernaturals who posed a threat to humanity. The family maintained a strict moral code, one that valued discipline, knowledge, and strategy over brute force.
Rhys idolized his parents, Marcus and Elara Arkwright, who were considered among the greatest hunters of their time. They were not just skilled fighters but scholars, possessing vast libraries filled with texts on magical creatures, occult practices, and forbidden knowledge. They had forged uneasy alliances with certain supernatural factions, particularly those who wished to coexist peacefully with humans. These relationships allowed the Arkwrights to maintain a delicate balance, keeping the darker forces at bay while ensuring that their family’s legacy remained unchallenged.
However, not all supernaturals shared this vision of coexistence. A powerful coven of witches, the Morrigan Circle, viewed the Arkwrights as a dangerous obstacle to their ambitions. This coven sought to dominate the supernatural world, and they feared that the Arkwrights, with their extensive knowledge and hunting prowess, would one day stand in their way. The Morrigan Circle was especially concerned with the Arkwrights' knowledge of dark magic, which could potentially be used to cripple their power.
One fateful night, when Rhys was still a boy, the Morrigan Circle struck. Rhys, who had been hidden away by his parents in a secret chamber, watched helplessly as his family was slaughtered.
The attack left the Arkwright estate in ruins, its vast library of supernatural knowledge destroyed or stolen by the coven. Rhys, barely surviving the assault, was saved by a powerful relic—a family heirloom passed down through the generations. This artifact, believed to hold protective magic, shielded him from the witches' spells at the last moment. But its magic came with a cost. It marked him, binding itself to his soul and unlocking a latent power within him that he neither understood nor wanted.
Devastated by the loss of his family, Rhys was consumed by grief and rage. The moral code his parents had instilled in him began to crumble as he swore vengeance against the Morrigan Circle and all those who had conspired against the Arkwrights. But as the years passed, his desire for revenge twisted into something more dangerous: an obsession with power. He no longer wanted to simply hunt supernaturals; he wanted to dominate them, to become stronger than any of the creatures he had once sought to protect humanity from.
Driven by this new ambition, Rhys set out on a dark path. He began seeking out forbidden knowledge, learning the very dark magic his family had once sought to eradicate. He delved into the most dangerous and arcane texts, uncovering secrets that even the most powerful supernaturals had feared to explore. He forged alliances with vampires and werewolves, manipulating them to serve his ends, and hunted down ancient relics that would enhance his abilities. As he grew in power, he became more ruthless, casting aside the ideals his family had once upheld.
Rhys was no longer satisfied with being a mere hunter; he wanted to transcend the limitations of mortality itself. He sought immortality, believing that only by becoming something more than human could he truly conquer the supernatural world. The artifact that had saved him that fateful night now seemed to be both a blessing and a curse. Its power grew stronger with each supernatural being he defeated, but its influence over him also deepened. At times, Rhys wondered if the artifact had its own agenda, if it was leading him down a path from which there was no return.
Appearance:
The Crimson Grimoire is an ancient, leather-bound book that appears unremarkable at first glance. Its cover is dark and worn with age, bound by a thick iron clasp with no discernible keyhole. The pages are yellowed and brittle, but the writing inside shifts and changes. The language written in the book is indecipherable to most, and the text can only be fully revealed when touched by someone of the Arkwright bloodline—or by blood sacrifice.
Inside, when in its book form the Grimoire is filled with strange, shifting runes and illustrations of supernatural creatures. It seems to have a consciousness of its own, rearranging information based on the user’s thoughts and desires. The book gives the impression of something alive, whispering softly to its user, almost beckoning to be opened.
The Grimoire can change appearance to protect itself OR to trick a supernatural being into touching it so that Rhys can gain access to their powers for a limited amount of time.
Origin:
The Crimson Grimoire was created centuries ago by a cabal of ancient sorcerers who sought to catalogue the essence and powers of supernatural beings. The book doesn’t merely contain written knowledge—it is imbued with the power of the creatures it records. The sorcerers who created it used forbidden rituals to bind the blood, bones, and souls of supernatural creatures into its pages. As a result, the Grimoire is semi-sentient, constantly hungering for more blood and power to expand its knowledge.
The Grimoire's part in his survival:
On the night of the attack that killed his family, young Rhys, hiding in his father’s study, unknowingly activated the Grimoire by bleeding onto its pages. The book responded to his desperation and fear, unlocking one of its rituals. It fed on his blood and the surrounding magic, using the power trapped within its pages to shield Rhys from the witches’ attack. A powerful blood-ward erupted from the Grimoire, saving him by creating a barrier that prevented the witches from killing him.
After the attack, Rhys realized the Grimoire was no ordinary book. It had protected him, but he could sense that it wanted something more in return.
The mark of the Grimoire:
the mark now looks pinkish in color...like a scar.
[/imagefloat]
Temporary Power Access:
A supernatural being must touch the Grimoire. It will allow the book to get enough information on the power temporarily.
Permanent Power Access:
- Absorption of Power: The Grimoire must be fed the blood of a supernatural creature for its power to be unlocked. Once it absorbs the blood, Rhys can gain that creature’s abilities by performing a specific ritual.
- Blood Sacrifice: To gain permanent access to the powers of a supernatural creature, Rhys must not only feed the Grimoire their blood but also offer a blood sacrifice—either his own or that of another creature. This makes every use of the Grimoire dangerous and morally compromising, forcing Rhys to balance his desire for power with the ethical cost.
Being of Its Own:
- As Rhys uses the Grimoire, it starts to exert a subtle influence over him. The more blood it absorbs, the more sentient it becomes, whispering dark temptations to him. The Grimoire promises him ultimate power if he continues to feed it, but its true purpose remains unclear. [/B]

Personality:
Resilient and Adaptable
Helena’s transformation into an immortal forced her to adapt to a new, lonely reality. Having endured centuries of loss, fear, and isolation, she has developed a remarkable resilience. She can quickly adjust to new environments, adapt her behavior to fit in with changing societies, and hide her true nature. While she has been deeply hurt by the world, her survival instinct remains sharp.
Example: Helena walks through different eras seamlessly, learning languages, customs, and even new technologies to avoid standing out.
Guarded and Mysterious
Betrayed and hunted by the people she once called home, Helena is deeply distrustful of others. She hides behind a veil of mystery, rarely revealing her true self. While she may seem composed and alluring to those who meet her, she guards her emotions closely (as intensely as she feels them), fearing that letting anyone get too close will expose her or put them in danger.
Example: She might form superficial relationships with mortals but pull away the moment they show deeper interest in her life, knowing she can never share the truth of her existence.
Empathetic but Withdrawn
Helena feels deep empathy for the suffering of others, especially those who have been wrongfully judged or cast out. Her own experiences with persecution make her keenly aware of injustice. However, her fear of forming attachments and losing people again keeps her distant. Her empathy is often expressed through subtle, indirect actions rather than open displays of kindness.
Haunted by Guilt
Helena’s immortal life is filled with guilt. Despite knowing that Circe’s curse was beyond her control, she still holds herself accountable for the deaths that resulted, including the loss of her family and village. The hunger for blood, an inescapable part of her existence, only deepens her self-loathing. Each life she takes, however necessary, weighs on her soul.
Curious and Knowledge-Seeking
Before her transformation, Helena was drawn to the natural world, fascinated by the stars and folklore. This curiosity only deepened in her immortal life. She spends centuries collecting knowledge, seeking out arcane texts, and learning about magic, science, and the mysteries of life and death. Knowledge becomes both a way to cope with her existence and a hope that one day, she might find a way to break the curse.
Conflicted Desire for Redemption
Helena walks a fine line between accepting her fate and yearning for redemption. While part of her feels like she is beyond saving, another part clings to the hope that there might be a way to free herself from this eternal darkness. She may seek out other witches, magical artifacts, or hidden knowledge that could offer her release from her cursed state. However, she’s unsure if redemption is truly possible or if she even deserves it.
Fierce When Provoked
Helena can be incredibly fierce when pushed to protect herself or others. She has had centuries to hone her strength and skills and will use them if necessary. Her anger, when unleashed, is swift and deadly, though she tries to avoid violence whenever possible. She views it as a last resort, not wishing to perpetuate the suffering caused by her curse.
Romantic but Isolated
While Helena may have had fleeting romances across the centuries, her curse makes deep connection nearly impossible. Immortality has left her isolated, unable to fully experience love or companionship without the inevitable pain of loss. She longs for love but believes it is something she cannot have. When it comes to love, she is both deeply romantic and tragically pragmatic, knowing that anyone she lets into her life will eventually grow old and die while she remains unchanged. Example: Helena might engage in brief, intense relationships but always keeps a distance emotionally, knowing the pain that will follow...even if it causes her pain denying her intense emotions. Quirks:
Bloodthirsty Altruism: When she’s feeling particularly hungry, she unconsciously seeks out individuals who are suffering or in pain, feeling drawn to them as if their blood might ease her own anguish. Taste of Time: She has a unique palate for the blood she consumes, often preferring the blood of those who have experienced significant life events. She believes that the richness of their experiences enhances her own understanding of humanity. Desire for Warmth: Despite her cold nature, Helena finds herself drawn to warmth—often seeking out firelight or the warmth of others, even if she cannot fully partake. This longing symbolizes her connection to her lost humanity. Aura Smeller: Helena insists that different people have distinct scents to their “aura.” She’ll casually sniff the air around someone and comment on their “soul’s fragrance,” though her descriptions are often cryptic, like “you smell like twilight and damp moss.”
History:
Helena Crayne was born in 1670 in a small Puritan village that would eventually become Crescent Hill. Her family had deep religious roots and were respected figures in the community. However, unlike her devout parents, Helena was a free spirit, captivated by the natural world and fascinated by folklore. She found herself more entranced by the stars than scripture, drawing the attention of gossip and suspicion from the townsfolk.
At 23, a mysterious illness swept through the village, claiming many lives, including Helena's parents. The townspeople, desperate for answers, sought someone to blame. They whispered about Helena's eccentricities—her solitary forest wanderings and her friendship with Circe, a local healer living on the outskirts, who was rumored to be a witch.
When a child fell gravely ill, panic erupted, and the villagers accused Helena of witchcraft, claiming she had cursed them. Despite her protests, she was dragged before the town council. Circe, fearing for Helena's life, stepped forward, revealing her own true nature as a witch. She implored the council to spare Helena, confessing that the illness stemmed from a spell gone awry. But the townspeople, gripped by fear, condemned both women to death.
On the night of their execution, Circe unleashed her final spell, casting a powerful curse. Rather than saving them, her magic bound Helena to the shadows, dooming her to an eternal life consumed by darkness. In the aftermath, Circe did not survive.
Helena awoke the next night, buried in a shallow grave by the sea, transformed and hollow. She clawed her way to freedom, driven by an insatiable hunger for blood. Horrified by her new existence, she fled into the forest, leaving the village behind. For centuries, she roamed the earth, immortal yet cursed.
When she returned fifty years later, the village had remained unchanged, though attitudes had shifted, especially regarding the execution of alleged witches. To her surprise, she discovered Circe's surviving relatives living peacefully there. Over the years, Helena forged connections with them, witnessing their lives from the shadows—attending birthdays, weddings, and funerals.
Though she never lingered too long, she cherished these moments, feeling a semblance of humanity in their presence. While Circe's choice had altered Helena's fate, she remained grateful to Circe's family for allowing her to touch the essence of life throughout her long existence.
"Created Not Turned":
Helena was cursed with the Blood Curse. While it successfully saved her life, stopping her heart before others could do so, it came with an array of other symptoms that she would later learn came with Vampirism and another handful of peculiar ones that were abnormal for regular vampires.
Normal Vampire Traits:
- Insatiable hunger for human blood. (what makes it abnormal...it's never satisfied even when she's polished off 6 or 7 people)
- fangs (which appeared uncontrollably at first but now only appear when she's excitable, hungry or angry)
- Aversion to garlic, crosses, and holy water. (severely wounds her)
- Lack of reflection in mirrors, film, photographs.
- Lack of shadow.
- Unable to go in sunlight (fixed with a charmed necklace that she always wears)
- Sensitivity to vervain
- Able to use compulsion.
- needs to be invited inside someones home before entering.
- doesn't sleep.
- heightened sight, smell, hearing.
- enhanced speed and agility.
Abnormal Vampire Traits:
- Enhanced Emotions - intense feelings of love, joy, or extreme loneliness.
- Unable to produce venom: because she was created and not turned, she did not drink the blood of another Vampire...therefore she does not have venom and is unable to turn anyone else.
- unable to heal as quickly as others.
- unable to be killed by traditional means -- werewolf bite, wooden stake, garlic, crosses, holy water. Though, it can severely wound her.
Unique Power:
Helena developed a supernatural ability of Umbrakinesis, though she has no shadow herself. She can use the shadows to travel without being seen and use the shadows to completely surround an area she chooses in complete darkness physically repeling or extinguishing any light around her.

His dyslexia has sharpened his listening skills and memory recall, as he had to compensate for struggling to read - he is therefore brilliant at retaining and recalling information.
His dysgraphia has enhanced his verbal expression, as he grew to compensate for his difficulty in expressing himself through written word.
Due to his dyslexia, when Leon reads he often has to rotate letters in his mind until they form the correct word. Through this, he developed the skill of 3D thinking, meaning he is able to visualise things from many angles in his mind. This skill contributes significantly to his telekinesis, as he is able to manipulate elements in the third dimension using only his mind.
Health:
Undiagnosed dyslexia and dysgraphia, which he is very insecure about. Reading is challenging and tiring for him, as the letters in words appear muddled or disoriented and he can't always grasp the phonetic composition of words. Writing is difficult, too, as he struggles with spelling and often misses out letters or whole words as he writes, as well as muddling upper and lower case letters. His teachers were often frustrated with him, calling him slow and marking his grades down. His classmates would tease him about it and call him names. Because of this he is now very insecure about reading aloud and also about people seeing his handwriting.
Physically fit - in the spring and summer, he swims in the lake every morning.
Fears:
A new superhuman ability surfacing
His superhuman abilities being found out
Losing control of an ability
Lydia getting hurt
Reading out loud in front of someone
Personality:
Outdoorsy: The outdoors brings Leon peace like nothing else. When he's in nature, whether it be sailing on the lake, swimming in the gorge, or hiking in the woods, Leon never feels more at peace. After Lydia's near-death experience whilst ice skating on the lake when they were children, many would have sworn off ever going near it again - Leon, on the other hand, went in the opposite direction. His idea is that the more he understands the rules of nature, the more equipped he will be to face its challenges.
Insecure: The lack of support he received at school for his undiagnosed learning difficulties meant that he has spent most of his life being ashamed of his differences, struggling to believe in himself and believing that he is stupid. It took him an extra year to graduate high school, and even then he only just made it. The truth is, he is very intelligent, he just cannot express his knowledge by written hand, nor can he read without significant effort, which meant that exams were near impossible, especially with no accommodations put in place for him. At school, he held a particular fascination for the sciences, and loved physics the most - his interest grew from a desire to figure out the mechanics of his superhuman abilities - but his dreams of studying particle physics at university were dashed when he failed to get even an average grade. He has accepted that further education isn't in the cards for him, but on the inside he can't help but be jealous of Lydia for the scholarship she managed to get.
Leon is able to manipulate the classical elements (fire, water, earth and air) using his mind. This means he does not have to physically touch them, however sometimes it helps him to draw power from the elements, eg. placing his hands or bare feet in the water or on the earth, in order to better control them. He sometimes finds that using a hand to direct the element can help with accuracy.
Limitations:
Like any of his powers, telekinesis uses a lot of energy. Weakness of any kind - even fatigue or hunger - may affect the efficacy or reliability of his power
Linked to emotions. Strengthened by passionate feelings such as anger or love; weakened by sadness or fear. Strong emotions make this power harder to control and elements harder to manipulate. Easiest to control while in a state of calm
Cannot create energy or matter, can only manipulate what already exists
Currently, Leon can only manipulate elements he can see or touch, though this may be developed by borrowing power from his clairvoyant sense to manipulate elements he cannot reach eg. inside an object, building, or body. This would however use double the energy
If out of control, can have devastating effects: fires may spread; earth may uproot trees or damage houses; water can form whirlpools, dangerous currents or jet streams; air can form whirlwinds or storms. The weather can also respond to him if he does not maintain control, resulting in rain, storms, blizzards
The easiest element to manipulate for him is water, as this was his trigger element so he has the strongest connection with it. Earth is by far the most difficult and exertive of the four, due to its weight
Clairvoyance:
Leon has the ability to locate people using only his mind.
Limitations:
Must have met the person before. Simply having seen them won't be enough - a connection must first have been established
The subject must be alive or undead. If subject is dead, he simply won't be able to find them
Requires white noise to focus his mind, and no distractions
Uses the least amount of energy of all his powers, however it does cause headaches. Best not to observe the subject for too long once found
Cannot communicate with the subject, can only observe them
Not necessary, but may help to speed up the process if he is touching an object that belongs (or once belonged) to the subject, or touching a living blood relative of theirs
Self-transmutation:
Leon has the ability to transmutate into other beings.
Limitations:
The subject must be alive or undead. If the subject is dead or decayed, consequences may be grave (pun not intended)
He will always remain human and retain his own supernatural abilities even while taking someone else's form
The subject must be of human form - can be supernatural eg. werewolf or vampire, but would not be able to mimic their supernatural forms, traits or abilities
Acquires skills through muscle memory, but does not acquire magical abilities
Uses up a lot of energy - usually remedied by eating and sleeping extra, but still a power best used only in moderation
Can temporarily escape mild illness or injury by transmutating into a healthier body, but the worse his illness/injury, the less effective the illusion, the less time he will be able to hold it for and the higher the toll it will take on his health. Best to only transmutate when in good shape.
History:
Early years
Growing up in the small, rural town of Crescent Hill gave Leon an idyllic childhood. From the day he was born he had a strong bond with his father, a loving, generous man who always had time for him and had a special way of making anything feel exciting. A passion he particularly cultivated in Leon was a love for the outdoors. The boy spent many a happy weekend exploring the woods behind the house, swimming in the lake and hiking various trails in the region, and this was how most of his happiest memories were formed: with his little sister and his dad having fun together outside and going on adventures.
His mother, on the other hand, was somehow unable to form much of a bond with him or Lydia at all. She seemed to struggle with motherhood - it didn't come naturally to her, and though she did her duties of feeding the family and doing housework, she left the bonding and emotional support to her husband. The only interest she really showed in him when he was a child concerned his schoolwork. As Leon progressed through his elementary years, he struggled to keep up with his peers, especially with reading and writing, which, to the concern of his teachers and the shame of his mother, led to him falling several levels behind. Leon didn't seek praise or attention from her, mostly because his father gave him plenty, but to have her openly discuss his failings at the dinner table, even under the guise of concern, taught him from that young age to hide things from her in order to avoid her harsh opinions and judgements.
The first event
December, 1982
One day, when Leon was ten and Lydia was just seven, something happened that would change his life forever. It was winter in Crescent Hill, and the lake had frozen over, so naturally the two children had gone ice skating. It was all going fine until Leon sped ahead to show her a trick he had been practicing - and when he turned around to see her reaction, she wasn't there. He skated back to find a gaping hole in the ice. Panicking, he plunged his arm into the freezing cold water to feel around for her. He could just about make out a silhouette under the thick ice some distance away, but she was out of his reach. Suddenly, he felt a charge in the water, tingling against his hand, and as he willed Lydia to swim or float closer to him, he realised that he was creating a current in the water. That current quickly carried his sister back over to him and buoyed her to the surface, assisting him in pulling her back up onto the ice.
Overwhelmed and confused by what he just did and what had just happened to Lydia, Leon began to panic. They were still on the ice and he didn't know how to get back to solid ground without risking one or both of them falling into the ice again. Lydia was soaking wet, freezing cold and her skin had turned blue. Leon, paralysed by fear, could only scream out for their dad. His newly activated but untamed power started to react to his heightened emotion and the weather began to stir. Before either Leon or Lydia could move, a blizzard broke out, reducing visibility and heightening Leon's panic even further as he worried about the instability of the ice beneath them and his sister's safety.
Their father came to their rescue, and his taking control of the situation helped to gradually calm Leon down until the blizzard reduced to a light, drizzling sleet. Lydia was treated for her severe drop in body temperature, but in the days during her recovery, Leon was trying to figure out how he had managed to rescue her. After a bit of practice confirmed to him that he had indeed garnered some kind of supernatural power, he confessed his discovery to his dad. It turned out that he, too, had superhuman powers, albeit different ones, and that it was a hereditary gene passed from his father's side.
Early teens
Transitioning into secondary school was hard for Leon. Expectations grew higher and harder to meet, and he was getting tired of struggling through his work, especially while contending with the fact that he had a secret superhuman ability that set him apart from practically everyone he knew. His relationship with his mother began to worsen as he started puberty, and they often got into heated arguments as his growing sense of righteousness made him unable to tolerate her belittling comments towards Lydia and him. He stopped trying entirely with certain subjects at school and instead focused all his energy on what he enjoyed, which was the sciences. Despite demonstrating a bright mind, his mother had already decided that he could be no more than his poor grades showed him to be, and lost interest in his efforts. She stopped attending parent teacher conferences and stopped pressuring him to do better. For a while Leon was too preoccupied by fitting in at a new school and his newfound ability, but eventually he noticed that she was pulling away from the family altogether: missing family dinners, disappearing in the evenings. At first Leon didn't mind having the extra time with just Lydia and his dad without having to think about his mum's presence, but then one night, when Leon was thirteen years old, his mother disappeared completely.
The second event
It was a Monday, and Leon was waiting to be picked up from his after-school swim club. His mother was due to pick him up but she never arrived. After an hour of waiting, Leon gave up and walked home, only to find that his mother's car was not in the driveway. Nobody seemed to know where she was, and his father was uncharacteristically serious all evening. Leon began to worry that something bad had happened to her, that she had perhaps got into a traffic collision on her way to pick him up. He knew he wouldn't sleep that night, so he snuck down into the basement and watched TV until he eventually passed out. Some hours later, Leon awakened to the sound of static noise on the television. He lay there for a few minutes, still half asleep, just listening to the noise - until gradually, he began to hear faint voices. They seemed to come from very close by, as if in the same room as him, which confused him as he could see that he was alone. The voices grew clearer until it became evident that it was a man and a woman talking, their voices deep and sultry. The woman laughed - a sound unsettlingly familiar yet rare to his ears - and when she started to speak again Leon realised the woman was his mother. Disturbed and afraid by what was happening, Leon curled into a ball, shut his eyes tight and focused on listening to the TV static in an attempt to drown out the voices. But what happened instead was even worse.
Without opening his eyes, Leon suddenly found himself in a bedroom he didn't recognise. His mother was sitting on the bed wearing a skimpy satin nightdress, her hair down and flowing past her shoulders. A man he didn't recognise stepped into view: an older man, shirtless, broad-shouldered and very fit. He swept her hair back and kissed her before passing her a glass of champagne and sitting next to her on the bed. They raised their glasses “to freedom, and a new beginning” and laughed. Leon had never seen her smile or laugh like that in his whole life. She went on to express her relief of no longer being held back by responsibility, of starting again without having to spend her energy and money on the kids or pretending to be interested in their stupid problems anymore.
Leon's vision suddenly began to blur, the room began to spin and in seconds he was back in the basement, alone with no sound but the static buzzing from the TV. The combined shock of a new ability surfacing and what he had just witnessed shook him, and he burst into tears. He cried himself to sleep that night, and his dad must have decided to let him and Lydia stay home from school the next day, because he didn't wake up again until the afternoon. His mother never came back, and Leon made the decision to never tell Lydia what had happened, and even when he told his dad about his new ability and that his mom was living somewhere else, he spared him the traumatic details and instead kept those to himself.
Teen years
Leon grew into himself a bit more as he progressed through his teenage years. He still carried some deep-set insecurity about his intelligence after a lifetime of hearing his mother's and his teachers’ criticisms and teasing from his classmates about his reading and writing skills, but his lifelong love for the outdoors had built him up to come out tops in sports. Becoming captain of the school swim team turned him from a shy, insecure kid to someone more popular and confident, though he still struggled to get too close to anybody. Girls started to notice him, and he would get invited to parties - but while the increase in popularity felt good, his abandonment issues, insecurities and heavy secrets about his special abilities kept him a private person and so he could never really let himself have girlfriends or even close friends.
That is, until he got to know Rhys Arkwright. The two were friends in high school, but they never really became close until after they graduated, when something happened that would bring them closer than Leon could ever have imagined. The two friends were hiking up to Devil's Mouth, a gorge in the forest with a depth of 23 metres, when Rhys accidentally fell in. Knowing that he would never survive the fall, Leon’s ability instinctively kicked in and he formed a cushion of air beneath Rhys at the very last second, which saved him from the sharp rocks beneath the water. Immediately he realised that Rhys would be confused as to why he wasn’t hurt, let alone dead, and so instructed his friend to stay where he was while Leon made his way down to the water as quickly as he could. He guided Rhys to safety, made sure he was okay and took him straight home. There, Leon ended up disclosing his secret - the second person he had ever told, after his father - and explained all about his superhuman abilities.
After that incident, the pair became close friends. Leon admires him for keeping his secret, and after years of closing himself off to friendships with any real depth, he has learned to love having a best friend he can confide in.
Witty- Morgan usually has a smartass comback for things and while it may get annoying after a while, it is ultimately a defense mechanism to keep his walls up. He’s not letting anyone into his deep dark thoughts willingly.
Noble and Protective- Morgan likes to keep a front up that he’s here for a good time and a long time but he cares deeply for those who manage to break the hard exterior of the young vampire.
Addicted- Morgan is addicted to human blood and while he tries to control it, it’s still a thing he struggles with. He just doesn’t want a repeat of the past.
Secretive- Morgan keeps his cards close to his chest. He doesn’t share his past much and he doesn’t trust easily.
"The nastiest villain I've ever met is myself"
Self-Deprecating- He doesn’t think very highly of himself (He hides it well though) Morgan would rather have died years ago instead of living forever and it's a thought he struggles with.
Self-Destructive- He is known to self-sabotage or outright be a dick to prevent people getting too close to him. He isn’t above showing people the monster he believes he is either.
Vulnerable- He ultimately has not figured out his new life yet even if it has been over 75 years of vampirism. He struggles to ask for help because he doesn’t think he deserves it but he is definitely in need of some.
He was named August because he was due to be born in August (though ultimately arrived too early).
His middle name, Blake, is a combination of his uncle's name, Blaine, and his father's name, Jake.

ADHD: August's brain works quickly but not in a particularly orderly way. He forgets things easily, often skips instructions and can't bring himself to do things that bore him.
PTSD: discovering the torn up body parts of his sister and father has given August chronic nightmares. He can't set foot in the woods without picturing their remains, he gets upset by stories of animal attacks, he's terrified of bears and can't go camping anymore. He is a lot more stable now than he was for the first few years, but can still be triggered when he least expects it, and suffers from panic attacks as a response, or in certain circumstances, flashbacks.
Fears:
The woods
Camping
Bears
Personality:
Extroverted: August thrives off of social interaction. He loves parties, he loves working with people, and gets bored easily when left alone for too long.
Happy-go-lucky: Despite his PTSD, August isn't typically an anxious person. He doesn't give up easily, isn't particularly sensitive to the criticisms of others and doesn't let failure knock him down.
Hopeless romantic: August loves to flirt and isn't above a meaningless fling, which gives him the image of a typical young buck in his early twenties. However, he has a lot of room in his heart and when he falls in love, he falls hard.
Excitable and easily distracted: One way in which his ADHD presents is a frequent inability to see a project through to the end. He loves to paint and draw, but often gets too excited by a new idea to manage to finish an old one.
Caring: Growing up with an unstable and at times absent father made August grow protective towards his family. Later, in the wake of his father's and sister's gruesome deaths, he became closer with his remaining family members and learned the importance of keeping loved ones close and looking out for one another. He always does his best to make someone feel better, even if he barely knows them, and that's because of the kindness that he both received and witnessed between his mother, uncle, cousins and friends.
August's early years were not exactly a peaceful childhood. His father, Jake Sinclaire, was fresh home from Vietnam in 1973, the year that August's little sister Daphne was born and when August was just two years old. Having been used to just having his mother around, August never knew the man his father had been before the war - he knew him only as a loud and scary alcoholic who would abuse Barbara-Jean and August and had suicidal tendencies. One particularly bad incident ended with Jake kicking August's highchair across the room while he was still in it; the toddler's arm was broken and he had a gash on his head, and Mama was so horrified that she kicked her husband out. She immediately filed for divorce, which left her close to penniless.
One day, Barbara-Jean was stopping by Jake's motel room to drop off some of his things. She had August and Daphne with her, but left them in the car as she was afraid that Jake might hurt them. August must have got scared of her being alone with him, because he ended up toddling over to catch up with her - and that's when he heard the hard bang of a chair hitting the floor, immediately followed by a scream. When he peeked through the open door, he saw his mother fighting to hold his dad up, who was tied to a beam on the ceiling by a rope around his neck. At just 3 years old, the little August made the phone call to the hospital.
Jake ended up staying for many months at a psychiatric hospital, then onto rehab. The next time he showed his face he was looking and behaving a lot better, even having secured a job and an apartment. But Barbara-Jean had already changed her name back to Lovell, as well as the kids', and didn't trust him enough to let him back in. However, as the years went on and he continued to prove himself a responsible and stable adult, she began to allow him some privileges with the kids, and eventually he managed to start over with both August and Daphne. By the time he was 10 and she was 8, their father had earned her trust enough to have unsupervised time with them.
Teen years
On account of his undiagnosed ADHD, August struggled a bit with school. In the classroom he was often distracted, overly talkative, or scrambling to finish his homework at the last minute. However, despite his hyperactivity, he was bright enough to remain at an average grade level, and in areas which interested him - art, music and sports - he did very well, even making the school football team. He was a popular kid and very sociable, even dating girls from as early as thirteen.
Unfortunately, school, sports and romance were about to become the least of his troubles. On Saturday 11th July 1987, when August was just over two weeks shy of his sixteenth birthday, tragedy struck his family. His younger sister, Daphne, had just turned fourteen and was about to go to her favourite summer camp, about seven hours south of Crescent Hill. Jake was to drive her there, but first he and Daphne had planned a little camping trip just the two of them to mark the start of her adventure. They would camp in Crescent Hill, just in the woods south of the town.
On the evening that Jake was due to return, Barbara-Jean was expecting a phone call from him to assure her that Daphne had reached the camp safely. At first when she didn't hear from the man, she was able to make excuses for him: maybe a tyre blew, maybe he had got held up somewhere and didn't have the change to make a call, maybe he had another errand to run before the day was done. She began to call his home, and there was no answer. It got to midnight - she drove over to his place and there was still no car. She called the summer camp, who had been trying to reach her to ask her why Daphne hadn't showed up yet, and that's when she knew that something was really wrong.
The next day, the sheriff declared the two missing, and soon a search party was put together. Knowing that they had been camping, Barbara-Jean and August directed the party towards the woods, and went out to search together. To their great and everlasting horror, the two of them were among those to first discover the young teenage girl and her father. First it was a small, slender arm, torn just below the elbow, left in the blood-soaked dirt. Then the body of poor Daphne came into view: her bones broken, her flesh mangled, clawed and chewed, with visible bite marks…yet, somehow, she wore a peaceful expression with her eyes and mouth closed and a pretty wolfsbane flower in her hair. Jake was found much further away, closer to the tent, with a gaping cavity in his torso and a trail of grey organs sprawled out across the ground. The cause of death was determined to have been a bear attack, despite being highly uncommon in the area.
After that discovery, August was granted mitigating circumstances for the rest of his finals and didn't have to go back to school until the next year began. His health took a dive: he struggled to eat, he had nightmares every night and panic attacks every day, and couldn't leave the house for fear of breaking down in public. By the time the next term came around, he was determined to feel some semblance of normality and so returned to school. At first he managed okay, until his first soccer game came up and he realised his dad would never watch his games again, that his sister would never play sport again, that it was unfair that he was out there running around in the fresh air and they would never breathe that air again because their lives had been cut short. A few minutes into the match, August had a panic attack so intense that the medical team had to carry him off the pitch. He stopped playing after that.
August was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, and the school made further allowances to accommodate his grief and trauma. For a time he was a shell of his former self, no longer the confident, cheerful boy he had been, but with time and some counselling he gradually returned to himself. He would never be the same, but to get to a point where he could get through a day without breaking down was the hardest hurdle to jump.
Seven years have now passed since he lost his sister and father, and life has fortunately got a lot brighter for him. He returned to a vibrant social life, graduated high school with decent grades, and now works at his Uncle Blaine’s inn. He still has nightmares, but he is generally a lot more stable than he used to be. The Lovells and Sinclaires are closer than ever after helping each other through the darkest times, and there isn't a thing August wouldn't do for any of them.

Being Treated Like a Victim Personality:
- Resilient and Determined: Despite the trauma of loss, Barbara Jean is unbreakable. She channels her grief into working hard to support her son, never allowing herself to be a burden to those who’ve taken them in.
- Protective: She’s fiercely protective of her 23-year-old son, often worrying about his safety and future, driven by her and his past loss. Her protectiveness sometimes borders on overbearing.
- Hard-working and Selfless: Barbara Jean takes on more than her share of responsibilities, often neglecting her own needs to make sure her son and those around her are cared for. She’ll go to great lengths to repay the kindness shown by her extended family and friends.
- Practical but Emotionally Guarded: She’s practical and no-nonsense, often suppressing her own grief and emotions to focus on survival and what needs to be done. Barbara finds it hard to talk about her pain, choosing instead to push forward and stay busy.
- Nurturing but Tough: She’s nurturing, though her life has made her tough. She’ll comfort those she loves but is equally stern when it comes to discipline or responsibility.
- Stubborn: Barbara Jean may refuse help (or further help that is) or push herself too hard, unwilling to let others carry her burden. This can cause friction, especially with those who care about her and want her to take a break.
Quirks:
Always Has a Band-Aid: Barbara carries a small first-aid kit with her wherever she goes, complete with band-aids and ointments. She has a habit of offering them to anyone who gets a small cut or scrape, even when it’s unnecessary. Mood Ring: She wears a mood ring as a nostalgic accessory, believing it brings her luck and reflects her feelings. Although it often misreads her emotions, she enjoys the playful connection to her past. Obsessive Note-Taker: Barbara has a habit of writing down her thoughts, ideas, and reminders on sticky notes that she places all over the house. This organized chaos helps her feel more in control, but it can also lead to amusing situations when she forgets where she put them.
History:
Early Life
Barbara-Jean Lovell was born and raised in a seemingly idyllic farming community, yet her childhood was far from perfect. Growing up under the stern rule of a father known for his quick temper and harsh punishments, Barbara-Jean's home was steeped in an atmosphere of tension and cruelty. Her mother, worn down by life’s demands, was unable to offer the tenderness Barbara-Jean craved. Despite these challenges, she radiated a natural kindness, becoming known in Crescent Hill for her warm smile and her willingness to help others. She was a quiet ray of light in a world that often felt dark.
At the age of 21, Barbara-Jean began sneaking out to town festivals and fairs, seeking temporary refuge from her father's oppressive rule. One fateful autumn evening, she met Jacob Sinclaire, a charming newcomer whose gentle demeanor stood in stark contrast to her home life. Their whirlwind romance led to a quick marriage, fueled by love and Barbara-Jean's hope that it would be her escape from the cycle of abuse she had known. Soon after, they welcomed their first child, a son named August, which would be quickly followed by their second child, a girl named Daphne. Barbara-Jean believed she was finally on her way to the life she had always dreamed of.
Struggles in Marriage
However, the return of Jacob from war marked the beginning of a dark chapter in their lives. Haunted by PTSD, Jacob's kind nature gave way to violent outbursts that mirrored the behavior of Barbara-Jean's father. The breaking point came one harrowing night when Jacob's rage resulted in a severe injury to their son. Witnessing August’s broken arm and bleeding gash, Barbara-Jean realized she could no longer allow history to repeat itself. With courage, she demanded Jacob leave and filed for divorce, despite the financial and social hardships that decision would bring. Though nearly penniless, Barbara-Jean was determined to create a safe and loving environment for her children, free from the violence that had scarred her own childhood.
A Fateful Decision
One day, Barbara-Jean made the difficult decision to visit Jacob at a rundown motel to deliver some of his belongings. Sensing the potential danger, she left her two children, August and Daphne, safely in the car. As she entered the dimly lit room, her heart sank under the weight of uncertainty. Within moments, she heard small footsteps behind her—August had bravely followed her inside. A loud crash interrupted the tension, and Barbara-Jean found herself trying to hold up Jacob, who was hanging from a beam by a rope.
In that chaos, August’s small face appeared in the doorway, wide-eyed with shock. Even at just three years old, he exhibited remarkable bravery, picking up the phone to call for help. His courage shone through in that moment of despair, demonstrating a strength far beyond his years.
After spending months in a psychiatric hospital and rehabilitation, Jacob returned looking healthier and more responsible. However, Barbara-Jean, having changed her name back to Lovell along with those of her children, struggled to trust him enough to reintegrate him into their lives.
A Tragic Loss
As time passed, Jacob gradually earned Barbara-Jean's trust, allowing him to spend time with August and Daphne. However, on July 11, 1987, tragedy struck. Two weeks before August’s sixteenth birthday and shortly after Daphne’s fourteenth, they went on a camping trip together, and Barbara-Jean anxiously awaited news of their safe arrival at summer camp. When the call never came, she drove to Jacob's motel only to find his car missing. Her worst fears materialized when she learned that Daphne had not arrived at camp.
The following day, as a search party began looking for Jacob and Daphne, Barbara-Jean's heart sank. They eventually discovered Daphne’s body, tragically unrecognizable and broken, adorned only with a wolfsbane flower in her hair. Nearby, Jacob's body was found, having fallen victim to an extraordinarily rare bear attack. The horror of losing her child and her estranged husband in such a brutal manner shattered Barbara-Jean's world.
New Beginnings
After the tragic loss of her daughter, Daphne, and the complex emotional aftermath of her estranged husband Jacob's death, Barbara-Jean Lovell found herself navigating an uncharted and challenging path. Despite the overwhelming grief, she was determined to create a stable and loving environment for her son, August. It was during this tumultuous period that she received unexpected support from Blaine Sinclaire, Jacob’s brother.
Blaine, who had been grappling with his own sorrow over the family tragedy, reached out to Barbara-Jean with an offer of assistance. He understood the immense weight of loss she was carrying and the challenges she faced as a single mother. With compassion and a genuine desire to help, Blaine invited Barbara-Jean and August to live in his spare home, a quaint but cozy cottage nestled on the outskirts of Crescent Hill.
This gesture of kindness provided Barbara-Jean and August with a safe haven during a time of great upheaval. The cottage, though modest, was filled with warmth and light, creating an environment conducive to healing. It became a sanctuary where they could begin to rebuild their lives, far removed from the shadows of their past.
Blaine's support extended beyond just providing shelter; he became a steadfast ally in their journey of recovery. Understanding the importance of stability for August, he offered to help with childcare and even engage him in activities that would foster his growth and confidence. Whether it was spending afternoons fishing by the nearby river or encouraging August’s interest in sports, Blaine stepped into a role that both comforted and inspired the young boy.
As time passed, the bond between Barbara-Jean and Blaine deepened. They found solace in each other’s company, sharing stories of their lost loved ones and forging a connection based on mutual understanding and support. Blaine’s presence became a beacon of hope for Barbara-Jean, reminding her that compassion could be found even in the aftermath of tragedy.
A New Purpose
In the aftermath of such profound grief, Barbara-Jean resolved to honor the memories of Jacob and Daphne by becoming an advocate for safety and change within her community. Driven by her desire to protect others from the pain she had endured, she pursued a career in law enforcement. Enrolling in the local police academy, she faced rigorous training while balancing the demands of single motherhood. Barbara-Jean excelled, proving to be a capable recruit who quickly earned the respect of her peers.
Upon graduation, she began her career as a patrol officer in Crescent Hill. Her unique background allowed her to connect with the community in a way few others could, working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. Over the years, her dedication led to her appointment as deputy sheriff and eventually as the town sheriff.

Blaine looked forward to taking over his father's inn, envisioning a life filled with love, laughter, and family gatherings.
However, Tessa did not share Blaine’s enthusiasm. While he poured his heart into preparing for fatherhood, she seemed distant, struggling to embrace the changes that lay ahead.
Fatherhood and Growing Strains
When their first child, Leon, was born, Blaine dedicated himself to being a nurturing father and managing the inn, working long hours to provide for his family. His love for Leon was boundless, and he delighted in every moment spent with his son. Unfortunately, Tessa’s disinterest in their new life as parents became increasingly apparent. Instead of bonding with Leon, she often focused on herself, leaving Blaine to shoulder the emotional responsibilities of parenthood.
A few years later, they were unexpectedly blessed with another child, Lydia. This new addition further complicated their already strained relationship. Blaine was overjoyed, viewing Lydia as another opportunity to build a loving family, but Tessa seemed overwhelmed. Arguments erupted frequently, with Blaine expressing his frustrations about Tessa’s lack of connection with their children. He couldn’t understand why she struggled to bond with them, feeling a growing chasm between them.
The Decline of Their Marriage
As time passed, Tessa withdrew emotionally, and Blaine felt the distance between them widen. He lamented that they had fallen out of love, and his devotion to their children deepened. While he focused on nurturing Leon and Lydia, Tessa’s priorities shifted towards her own needs, often belittling the children and causing Blaine to step in as their protector. This created a volatile household environment, with Blaine caught between defending his children and trying to rekindle the connection with Tessa that had once brought them together.
By the time Leon reached the age of 13, Tessa made the difficult decision to leave, walking away from her family. This left Blaine heartbroken and questioning whether he should have ended their marriage sooner, feeling the weight of regret for not addressing their issues before they escalated. That regret was only deepened when Leon told him that he had somehow learned that his mother was living elsewhere..
New Beginnings
In the aftermath of Tessa’s departure, Blaine found solace in his children. He devoted himself to their well-being and the inn, determined to create a stable and loving environment for Leon and Lydia. Though the scars of his past remained, Blaine learned to embrace the challenges of single parenthood, drawing strength from the love he had for his children and the lessons learned from his tumultuous marriage.
The Sinclaire Superhuman Gene:
The Sinclaire superhuman gene is a unique genetic trait that has been passed down through generations of the Sinclaire family, particularly affecting males. This gene confers enhanced physical abilities, heightened intelligence, and remarkable resilience, making the males of the Sinclaire lineage notable in their communities.
Genetic Structure
Autosomal Dominance: The Sinclaire superhuman gene operates on an autosomal dominant inheritance pattern. This means that only one copy of the gene is necessary for an individual to express its superhuman traits. If a male carries the gene, he has a 50% chance of passing it on to his offspring.
Mitochondrial Contribution: While the superhuman gene is expressed predominantly in males, females can carry the gene and pass it to their children. However, it is typically more potent in males due to the influence of testosterone on the gene's expression.
The Sinclaire superhuman gene is not only inherited but also influenced by the emotional and physical experiences of its bearers, particularly trauma. When faced with significant stress or traumatic events, individuals with the Sinclaire gene may find that their powers manifest in unique and often dramatic ways.
Heat Generation: Blaine can produce heat from his body or generate it from the environment. This can manifest in various forms, such as heat blasts, warmth radiating from his hands, or creating localized areas of intense heat. Temperature Control: He can regulate the temperature of objects or environments. This ability could range from warming a space to freezing items instantly, allowing him to manipulate the state of matter (solid, liquid, gas) based on the temperature. Thermal Radiation: Blaine can emit thermal radiation in the form of infrared energy. This would allow him to detect heat signatures of living beings or objects, making it easier to track movement or identify hidden dangers. Molecular Vibration: By altering the vibrational energy of molecules, Blaine can raise or lower the temperature of objects. This could involve increasing the kinetic energy of particles to generate heat or decreasing it to cool them down. Heat Absorption: He can absorb thermal energy from his surroundings, cooling down objects or areas. This ability could be useful for creating ice or frost or cooling himself or allies in hot environments.
Unique Variations and Extensions
Heat Absorption: Blaine can enhance his powers by absorbing heat from his surroundings, replenishing his energy reserves or boosting the intensity of his heat-based attacks.
Heat Vision: Blaine has the ability to see heat signatures, allowing him to track living beings or detect hidden objects in darkness or obscured environments. He can control when he uses it.
Advanced Healing: He could learn to control his body temperature to help regulate his healing process, accelerating recovery from injuries by applying targeted heat therapy.
Limitations and Vulnerabilities
Energy Drain: Generating and manipulating heat can be physically taxing. If Blaine overuses his powers, he may experience fatigue or exhaustion. This limitation could lead to strategic decisions about when and how to use his abilities.
Environmental Influence: The effectiveness of his powers could be influenced by the environment. For example, in extremely cold or hot conditions, his abilities may be diminished or more difficult to control.
Range Limitations: Blaine’s ability to manipulate heat may have a limited range. He could effectively control temperatures within a certain radius but might struggle to affect distant objects.
Heat Sensitivity: While Blaine can generate heat, he may also become more sensitive to extreme temperatures himself. Prolonged exposure to intense heat or cold might affect his health and stamina.
Precision Control:The precision required to manipulate heat could be challenging. Blaine might accidentally overheat or freeze objects if he loses focus, leading to unintended consequences.
Energy Generation: Blaine can generate electromagnetic energy from his body, enabling him to emit various forms of energy waves. This could involve vibrating particles in his body or harnessing external sources of electromagnetic energy. Wave Manipulation: He has control over the wavelength and frequency of the energy he projects, allowing him to manipulate the type of electromagnetic radiation being emitted. This includes adjusting the intensity, direction, and range of the projection. Forms of Projection: Blaine can project electromagnetic energy in different forms, including beams, pulses, or fields. He might create continuous streams of energy or concentrated blasts that can be directed toward specific targets. Frequency Modulation: By altering the frequency of the electromagnetic waves, Blaine can achieve different effects, such as heating objects, creating light, or disrupting electronic devices. Energy Absorption: Blaine might be capable of absorbing external electromagnetic energy, such as electricity from power lines or energy from devices, replenishing his own reserves and enhancing his abilities.
Unique Variations and Extensions
Pulse Waves: Blaine has the ability to emit pulse waves that can cause concussive effects, knocking back or disorienting opponents without directly harming them.
Electromagnetic Field Manipulation: With advanced control, Blaine might create or manipulate electromagnetic fields to affect the movement of metallic objects, effectively using magnetic forces to levitate or repel items.
Limitations and Vulnerabilities
Energy Drain: Generating and projecting electromagnetic energy can be taxing on Blaine’s physical and mental resources. Overuse of his powers might lead to fatigue, disorientation, or even temporary loss of abilities.
Control and Precision: Mastering the precise control of his projections can be challenging. If Blaine loses focus or becomes emotionally compromised, he might inadvertently cause unintended effects, such as overheating objects or creating dangerous discharges.
Range Limitations: Blaine's ability to project electromagnetic energy might have a limited range, meaning he can effectively affect targets within a certain distance but may struggle to influence distant objects.
Physical Vulnerability: While projecting energy, Blaine could become more vulnerable to attacks, as his focus might be divided between maintaining his projections and defending himself.
Molecular Manipulation: At its core, phasing involves manipulating the molecular structure of Blaine's body to align with the molecules of the objects he wishes to pass through. This could mean vibrating his molecules at a certain frequency that allows him to occupy the same space as solid objects without physical interaction. Intangible State: When phased, Blaine becomes intangible, meaning he can’t interact with the physical world in the same way he does when solid. This state may allow him to pass through walls, floors, and other obstacles but also prevents him from interacting with solid objects, such as holding or touching them directly. Control and Precision: Phasing could require a high level of control. Blaine may need to focus his mind to enter and exit this state at will, and the degree of control could vary based on his emotional state or level of fatigue. Duration: Phasing might have a time limit; Blaine could only remain intangible for a certain period before needing to re-solidify. The ability to phase longer could be a skill he develops over time or through experience. Physical Interactions: When phased, Blaine might not be able to use physical weapons or tools effectively. For example, if he tries to wield a sword while phased, it could pass through his target without causing harm.
Unique Variations and Extensions
Partial Phasing: Blaine has mastered the ability to phase only certain parts of his body, allowing him to interact with objects while remaining intangible elsewhere. For example, he could phase his arm to reach through a wall while keeping the rest of his body solid.
Phasing Others: If he gains enough control, Blaine could potentially phase other people or objects alongside him, creating a team escape or a coordinated attack. BUT...this is a skill he is still working on mastering.
Limitations and Vulnerabilities
Environmental Factors: Certain materials or forces may affect his ability to phase. For instance, dense materials or magical barriers might hinder or prevent phasing, requiring him to find alternative paths or solutions.
Concentration: Phasing could demand significant mental focus. If Blaine's attention wavers, he might accidentally phase out of control, leading to unintended consequences or getting stuck in an object.
Physical Exhaustion: Prolonged use of phasing may lead to fatigue, as it could require more energy than simply maintaining a solid form. This exhaustion could also affect his physical capabilities once he returns to his tangible state.
Disorientation: Transitioning between states might cause brief disorientation, especially if Blaine phases too quickly or frequently. This could leave him vulnerable during combat or in high-stress situations.
Emotional Impact: Stress or strong emotions could disrupt his ability to phase effectively, making it harder for him to control the power when he needs it most.

Personality:
- Independent & Adventurous: True to her Sagittarius nature, Summer has always been a free spirit. Growing up with four older brothers, she developed a thick skin and a fierce self-reliance, often carving her own path rather than following anyone else’s lead. She loves the thrill of the unknown and often takes spontaneous day trips in her car, embracing the unexpected and finding beauty in the small mysteries of life.
- Brilliant & Perceptive: Summer is deeply intelligent, with a mind that’s always curious and questioning. Finishing college with top marks, she’s a fast learner and an innovative thinker. Her intelligence isn’t just academic—it’s woven with insight and intuition, helping her read people quickly and understand their motives, whether she uses this to her advantage or to protect herself.
- Loyal & Devoted:Family means everything to her. Although her brothers are present in their own ways, she feels an acute sense of responsibility to care for her father full-time. Her dedication to him is unyielding, and though her love for adventure calls, she’s rooted herself at home to help him in this difficult time.
- Musically Gifted & Magnetic Charm: As a siren, Summer’s voice is enchanting whether she is speaking or singing. She loves to sing or hum along to the music she plays in her store. Her voice has an otherworldly quality, one that seems to make the music resonate on a deeper level, and it’s part of what makes her record store so popular. People often feel inexplicably at ease in her presence, and she knows how to subtly use her charm without ever crossing ethical lines.
- Restless & Self-Critical: Summer’s adventurous spirit means she’s sometimes restless in small-town life, feeling the itch for something bigger. She wrestles with the feeling that she’s "settling" by staying home, especially when she remembers all the ambitions she once had. There’s an undercurrent of frustration at herself, feeling that her adventurous, risk-taking spirit is being stifled.
- Tempted by Risks: As a natural risk-taker, Summer occasionally finds herself craving more thrill than Crescent Hill can offer. Her siren side also comes with a mysterious allure, and she sometimes flirts with danger—attracting individuals with troubled pasts or diving into situations she knows could be risky. This part of her both fascinates and scares her, as she constantly tries to balance her desires with her responsibilities at home.
- Fear of Losing Control: Her siren abilities, while largely under control, make her wary of how much power she can have over others. Summer is hyper-aware of her influence, especially her voice, and sometimes holds back out of fear of unintentionally manipulating someone. This restraint sometimes frustrates her, as she wishes she could be more open and carefree without worrying about the impact of her abilities.
- Wary of Love: For Summer, love is a mix of desire and trepidation. Deep down, she longs for a connection as magnetic and all-consuming as the music she loves. She believes love should feel thrilling, like the thrill she gets from exploring a new album or an uncharted path. However, her life experiences and siren nature have taught her to approach it with caution. Growing up with four older brothers, she’s witnessed different kinds of relationships—some loving and some tumultuous—giving her a realistic, if somewhat skeptical, view of romance. She’s seen how her brothers’ relationships can sometimes lead to heartache and compromise, and she wonders if true love can exist without giving up part of oneself. Her natural charisma draws people to her, yet she’s wary of letting anyone too close. The combination of her siren allure and her guarded emotions makes her doubt whether someone could love her genuinely, without falling under the subtle influence of her abilities.
Quirks: Tunes for Every Mood – Summer associates songs with emotions and often hums or softly sings a specific tune that matches her mood without realizing it. People in her shop sometimes notice and try to guess what she’s feeling based on her choice. Sing-Talks Certain Words – Every now and then, she’ll sing out random words mid-sentence, especially if they’re naturally melodic (like “hello” or “tomorrow”). She usually doesn’t even realize she’s doing it. Eerie Humming During Storms – On stormy nights, she has a habit of humming almost unconsciously, creating haunting melodies that echo through the house or her shop. Her dad and brothers have come to recognize this as her “storm song.”
History:
Summer Meri Calloway, the youngest and only daughter among five siblings, was born in November 1969. Her father was a human necromancer, and her mother, Seraphina, a full-blooded siren. The two had met in high school, and their romance quickly blossomed. Before they graduated, they learned Seraphina was pregnant with their first child, Tobin. What began with the hope of young love soon turned difficult, culminating in the birth of Summer nearly a decade later. Seraphina, who had long struggled with mental health issues, became increasingly erratic after Summer’s birth. Tragically, following a severe incident, she was permanently institutionalized, leaving Summer with only faint memories of her mother.
Raised by her four older brothers and Father, Summer grew up in a close-knit environment. Her brothers treated her like a princess while teaching her resilience and independence, and her father worked tirelessly to support the family until her brothers were old enough to help. In school, Summer excelled, becoming head cheerleader, ASB president, and just shy of being valedictorian. Outside of school, she balanced working at her family’s record store and volunteering at the local hospital as a candy striper.
During these years, Summer discovered the power of her voice—its ability to influence others effortlessly, a gift she inherited from her mother’s siren heritage. Without guidance on the ethics of her gift, she occasionally used her charm for personal gain.
After high school, Summer left for college, eager to explore life beyond her small-town roots. Although she maintained strong grades, she indulged in a more carefree lifestyle, experimenting with her powers to navigate challenges and occasionally bending others to her will. College became a place of growth, where she refined her powers, yet she yearned to live freely without relying on them.
Her plans to start fresh and see the world were interrupted by her father’s cancer diagnosis shortly after graduation. Despite her family’s encouragement to pursue her dreams, Summer chose to return to Crescent Hill to care for him. Settling back into her hometown, she took over the family record store, rebranding it and making it her own. Her brothers, now with families and careers nearby, visit often. For now, life is calm, and Summer has found a sense of purpose back where her story began.
Siren Abilities:
There are some abilities in here that she has yet to really master. Summer's charm as a siren is natural but increasing it's amplification can be both intentional and unintentional (if she gets over emotional for example she tends to lose her control). She's still learning what her powers can do and just who (and how many at a time) are affected by them.
Echanting Voice: Her voice has a hypnotic quality that can subtly influence people’s emotions or calm their minds. When she sings or even hums, people feel drawn in, soothed, or more open to suggestion, though she keeps tight control over this to avoid unintentional manipulation.
Surface-Level Calm: On a basic level, her voice has a soothing, almost therapeutic quality. When she speaks or sings, people naturally feel more relaxed, as though their worries have temporarily melted away. People find themselves lingering longer, browsing records or talking to her, not always sure why they feel so at ease but appreciating the feeling.
Emotional Influence: By shifting her tone or cadence, Summer can nudge someone’s emotions in a particular direction. If she senses sadness or anger, she can gently redirect those feelings into calm or acceptance. If she wants to evoke happiness, her voice takes on a lilting, musical quality. It does not override anyone’s will; rather, it’s like a suggestion that aligns with what they already want to feel. It helps people process and sometimes verbalize things they were struggling to articulate.
Captivating Allure:When Summer sings, she can heighten this effect, creating an almost dreamlike state in her listeners. People find themselves hanging on every word, captivated by her voice and feeling like they’re in a world where only the music exists. This state can help soothe deeply troubled souls, inspire bursts of creativity, or even evoke nostalgia, and Summer uses this in small doses, particularly when performing or humming while she works.
Dreamlike Trance:In rare, intense situations, Summer can bring someone into a trance-like state where they lose track of time or surroundings. This is an ability she hesitates to use, and if she does, she does so with restraint. In this trance, people experience a heightened, almost surreal clarity about their own feelings or memories. They might see past regrets, happy memories, or face emotions they’ve been suppressing. When they come out of it, they often feel lighter, as though they’ve had a moment of catharsis or self-discovery. Summer uses this sparingly, as it’s emotionally draining for her and could be risky if overdone. (This does not work on Vampires)
Charm Amplification: Summer can turn on a magnetic charm, allowing her to become nearly irresistible. People feel naturally compelled to trust her or even go out of their way to help her. However, she’s aware of its potential for manipulation and uses it sparingly, usually only when she or someone close to her is in a tough spot.
Natural Aura Enhancement: At its base level, Charm Amplification is like a magnified charisma that envelops Summer – and she can’t always control it but she has a pretty good handle on it. She subtly radiates a magnetic aura, causing people to feel drawn to her and, often without realizing it. Inclined to trust her or like her. This effect is ambient and non-invasive. And while she tries to reign it in, she is aware that it has its use for her business, creating a welcoming environment where customers feel at ease and open to suggestions.
Heightened Attraction and Trust: When Summer increases her charm intentionally, she can cause others to become highly engaged with her, focusing on her words and actions as though nothing else exists. This heightened allure makes her persuasive and captivating, allowing her to build a sense of rapport and trust quickly. This is especially helpful in business when she wants customers to leave with a positive impression or to explore something new. Though it comes easily to her, she often uses it in moderation, aware of its power. NOTE: Summer’s siren nature naturally attracts attention, and even when her charm isn’t amplified, people may find themselves inexplicably drawn to her. This magnetism can manifest in small ways, such as lingering gazes or people gravitating toward her in social settings, often unaware of the siren's effect at play.
Mirrored Emotion Effect: Summer’s amplified charm, intentional or not often causes people to mirror her emotions. If she’s excited, her excitement becomes infectious; if she’s calm, others feel more serene. This helps her set the tone in social interactions and soothe tense situations. This ability, however, is particularly draining, as she has to keep her own emotions controlled to avoid unintentionally amplifying feelings like frustration or sadness in others.
Limitations and Drawbacks
Emotional Vulnerability: Amplifying her charm requires emotional openness, which can leave her feeling vulnerable. To boost her allure, she needs to put a lot of energy into projecting positivity, kindness, or empathy—essentially “sharing” her emotions. This can be emotionally taxing, and she often feels drained after prolonged use, needing time to recover in solitude or near water.
Physical Boundaries: Charm Amplification only works within her physical presence, and it’s more effective in close proximity. In crowded or noisy settings, her charm doesn’t reach as far and becomes harder to maintain.
Personal Ethics and Restraints:Summer has a strict code when it comes to using her amplified charm with intention. She avoids using it to make people act against their true desires or to manipulate them for personal gain. She wants people to like her for her. This is especially challenging since her charm can be subtle, and she often feels conflicted about whether people’s actions are a result of her influence or their genuine choices. She has a rule never to use her charm intentionally in romantic settings, as she fears it could lead to hollow connections rather than true affection.
Training and Focus
Refinement Through Music: Summer refines her control over charm amplification by focusing on music and rhythm, which helps her practice synchronizing her charm with her intention. She’ll put on a record that matches the energy she wants to project and see if she can transfer that feeling outward. This helps her fine-tune her power so that it’s a gentle influence rather than an overwhelming force.
Boundary Reinforcement: To keep her charm in check, Summer has a grounding technique, like humming or tapping her fingers, to stay centered. This helps her keep her natural charm from seeping out unintentionally in stressful situations. She’s learned that strong emotions—fear, excitement, frustration—can amplify her charm on their own, so she tries to keep herself calm and present, especially in social settings.
Aquatic Affinity: Water is both a source of power and a place of peace for her. Spending time near water revitalizes her energy and abilities, and she can stay underwater for extended periods. If she’s near a lake, river, or even a rainstorm, her abilities are slightly enhanced, allowing her to tune in to the people and environment around her with greater clarity.
1. Breath Control and Amphibious Abilities:
Summer’s Aquatic Affinity extends to her own physical adaptability in water. She can hold her breath for long periods, easily diving deep into lakes or swimming for hours without tiring. Water is her natural element, and moving within it feels effortless, almost like second nature. Her senses are heightened underwater, and her vision remains clear even in murky water, allowing her to navigate and explore with ease. This connection helps her feel at home in any body of water, be it rivers, lakes, or oceans.
2. Enhanced Healing and Vitality:
Whenever Summer spends time in or near water, she feels rejuvenated both physically and mentally. Swimming, even just wading in water, accelerates her body’s natural healing processes, from physical injuries to emotional stress. Her energy replenishes faster, and any soreness, fatigue, or emotional burdens lift more quickly, leaving her feeling balanced and renewed. This connection is like a reset button for her well-being, allowing her to face life’s challenges with a calm resilience.
3. Empathetic Flow and Emotional Clarity:
Being near water amplifies her empathetic abilities, allowing her to connect with her own emotions and those of others with more clarity. This gives her a heightened intuition when interacting with others, as water enhances her ability to feel subtle emotional “currents” around her. In conversations by the river or during storms, she can sense deeper undercurrents in people’s intentions or feelings, which helps her navigate complex relationships and offer comfort to others.
Sonic Resonance: With focused intention, Summer can create gentle sound waves that influence her surroundings.
Emotional Influence Through Vocal Modulation
Summer’s voice has a profound effect on the emotional states of those who listen. By subtly modulating her tone, pitch, and rhythm, she can invoke specific feelings, from serenity to excitement, or even nostalgia. In casual conversations, her voice may inspire a subtle sense of comfort and trust, helping people relax or feel at ease around her. If she raises the emotional intensity, her voice can evoke deeper reactions—calming someone who’s stressed, encouraging laughter, or even making listeners feel a sense of awe. This effect is amplified when she sings, as her voice has an almost hypnotic quality that draws in listeners and keeps them captivated.
Memory Resonance and Recall
Certain melodies or vocal tones in Summer’s voice can trigger memories in others, bringing to the surface emotions or experiences tied to specific sounds or songs. This ability, which she considers highly personal and uses with restraint, allows her to help people reconnect with forgotten memories or lost feelings. (This doesn’t work on Vampires, but DOES WORK on those who have lost their memories due to compulsion)
Harmonic Enchantment and Focused Influence
When Summer focuses her Sonic Resonance on a single individual, she can create a harmonic “enchantment,” influencing that person’s perception or mental state. This focused influence acts like a gentle suggestion, subtly guiding the listener’s thoughts or emotions in a particular direction without overtly controlling them.
Dual-Note Resonance for Intensified Influence
In moments of heightened emotion or tension, Summer can shift into a powerful, dual-note resonance, a technique where she sings or speaks in two harmonic tones at once. This creates an ethereal, layered sound that resonates deeply with listeners, producing more intense emotional or mental effects that she has yet to really experiment with.

His parents argued over the name: they had initially agreed on Sebastian as it works both in German and in English, but the day his mother went into labour, her own father, James, passed away. His father didn't want to name him James as there was no Germanic equivalent and it wasn't easy for the German side of the family to pronounce, but in her grief she won him over. The German side of the family (besides his father) stubbornly called him Sebastian for his whole life, but to everyone else he was always Jamie.

Jamie was raised an only child, and came from a family of high achievers. His mother, Diana Rogers, was a well-published professor of English literature at Leeds University, and his father, a second-generation German immigrant named Gerhard, was a highly-regarded conductor for the Leeds Symphony Orchestra. They were older than most of his friends' parents, having had him in their mid-forties, and their years of achievement, wisdom and worldly experience gave Jamie a strong foundation in his own studies. Through his father's side, he gained musical talent, learning to play the guitar and the piano from as early as four years old; from his mother, a love for reading. Jamie was one of the brightest in the class throughout his entire school career, but although he stood out for his high intelligence it didn't set him apart from his peers, nor did it didn't stop him from becoming one of the most popular kids in the school. As a teenager, he would display his musical talents at school concerts and at local pubs, winning the hearts of girls; the boys he would win over with his laid back attitude and ability to hold his drink.
School was never quite challenging enough for him, and soon enough Jamie wound up with too much time on his hands. As he rode the wave of popularity and success, he ended up with more and more secrets from his parents: he started experimenting with drugs, sex and alcohol, and at the young age of 14 Jamie lost his virginity to his drug dealer's sister, Andrea, at a party. Andrea was in her twenties, but she drew him in with her mysterious allure, her badass attitude and her sexual prowess - not to mention that she was drop-dead gorgeous, and all his friends wanted her. Despite their praise for his so-called "achievement", Jamie secretly wasn't that impressed. He slept with her for a couple of weeks, and then broke it off as soon as he realised he wasn't enjoying it as much as his friends seemed to think he should.
His parents cared a lot about him, and even though they had high expectations for him, they never had to put too much pressure on him since he always remained top of his classes. As a family they got on well, perhaps in part for their distance - his mother had always been busy with her scholarly work, and his father was often out in the evenings with his orchestra, or sometimes even travelling away from home. They had a sort of hands-off relationship - having earned their trust with high grades and a good reputation, his parents allowed him to stay out late without question. In their eyes, they had nothing to worry about, as he managed to present himself to them with a clean image.
Jamie was 16 years old when he first fell in love. He was at a party at his dealer's house, playing a not-so-innocent game of spin the bottle; the rule was that if the bottle landed on someone you didn't want to kiss, you could spin again, but you only had 3 passes. Everyone was using their passes on friends of the opposite sex, but Jamie was getting lucky with his spins always landing on girls. Then, eventually, the bottle landed on Eric Lammyman. The two grinned at each other, shrugged, and to the roaring delight of the group, decided to get up and give the others a show. It was only for a laugh, after all. But a few seconds into the kiss, Jamie felt his heartbeat quicken and an unexpected desire well up inside him. Eric parted from the kiss first, and the two boys sat down again and joined in the laughter. It had just been a joke. But for the rest of the evening, Jamie noticed Eric stealing glances at him, and couldn't help but catch himself glancing at him, too. A few nights later, the pair found themselves alone with each other at a bus stop late at night, and they just talked and talked. The bus never came, but neither of them cared - Jamie walked Eric home and when they reached his parents' driveway and were saying goodbye, their hands touched, silencing both of them. Then they touched again, and very slowly, their hands came into a hold. It would mark the start of a secret but loving relationship. They never told their parents, they never told their friends, and in public everything appeared exactly as it had before. But between the two of them, everything had changed.
Then, in the early summer of 1989, Jamie's life changed all over again. Some time towards the end of his exam season, his parents had flown to New Hampshire to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Jamie didn't mind being left alone, and they would call him every few evenings or so to check in on him. It was the day after his last exam, a Friday night, and Jamie was getting ready to go out with friends to celebrate when the phone rang. An American voice answered. It was the sheriff of a town called Crescent Hill. The man on the line gently informed him that his parents had been found dead under mysterious circumstances. Jamie's mother was found dangling from a tree on the roadside, his father in a heap beneath her. Both had been bitten deeply on their necks and their bodies had turned grey and dehydrated from blood loss. But there were no pools of blood left on the scene according to the forensic report.
The deaths were eventually ruled as a coyote attack, and it was hypothesised that his mother had attempted to climb a tree to escape its reach but ultimately failed. It just didn't make sense to Jamie. He grew obsessed with the mystery and injustice of it, and his way of processing his grief was to throw himself into his own investigation. He lost sight of his friends, and of Eric, and even passed on a music scholarship he was offered later that summer. Instead, he spent his summer at the library, teaching himself as much as he could about animal behaviour to help him narrow down his search. He then moved onto books on crime and murder, trying to make any kind of connection that he could.
Fed up of Jamie's obsessive behaviour and lack of attention, Eric cheated on him and by the end of the summer, the two were over. Jamie didn't even care. He ended up going to the University of Oxford to study to become an archivist, so that he could get deeper access to records of mysterious deaths. Through his studies, he found stories of deaths similar to that of his parents: whole villages across Europe wiped out by an unknown killer, no warfare, no guns... Sometimes it was bloodless corpses, sometimes the bodies had been mauled to death. There were towns around the world where multiple people had gone missing or killed in various but equally unexplainable ways. After getting his degree, Jamie decided he had to go to Crescent Hill. He had plenty of inheritance money, and so, in the late summer of 1994, he left his life behind in England and moved to the USA to set himself up in the small town where his parents had died. There, Jamie got a job as a librarian and archivist in the Crescent Hill Community Library, where he continues to do his research.

persona
personality
Wren is a quick-witted, extroverted type who loathes societal rules and expectations. While she has no qualms with the intricacies of femininity, she's never been the biggest supporter of the notion that women should be "seen and not heard." Wren is the type of person to speak her mind without consideration for how it will affect those around her. She's an avid reader, thoroughly enjoying reading her family's spell books and histories, and always seems to know the latest tidbit of gossip - though she rarely believes such rumors unless they are well founded. Coined a bit of a "spitfire" by her family, Wren has a silver tongue and a well-honed ability to void herself of guilt should the need arise. She wouldn't label herself a troublemaker, but that's not because she doesn't cause trouble... It's because she doesn't get caught.
