Realistic or Modern Creepypasta Roleplay (Hunni and Keeper)

Before she could answer Crow, her head turned to Tim, hearing him call for them to get going. Finally. She was getting tired of walking around—though the conversation she was having with Crow was a nice distraction. Looking back at her, she flashed a small smile before walking back to the others.
“That’s a good question,” she shrugged again, kicking a rock to the side, “If I’m bein’ honest, I’m… not so sure. I mean, I listen to what He says and do what He instructs, but I don’t really have a, uh, a thing, y’know?”
Vera didn’t seem the proxy type. Nor was she as…eccentric…as some of the others. But she had to be there for some reason, right? Maybe He just needed some extra hands. Someone who still looked like they had their humanity left, which was pretty hard to come by.
“But hey, I’m not one to complain. It’s better than runnin’ from the cops,” she added with a soft laugh, getting into the car. Was that a…joke?

As soon as Brian got into the car, he shut the door with a soft sigh. Just an hour or two left until they get to town and then they can finally get the ball rolling. He looked out to the side mirror, seeing and hearing the others slowly getting their asses inside. With a yawn, he got himself comfortable for the ride, buckling himself in before leaning back into the leather seat. If there were any other arguments in the back, he’d let them handle it. Hell, he might as well let Toby take the reins if he was in charge of scouting later. The thought made him chuckle, another yawn leaving him.

Toby knew he’d hate getting back in, already seeing Jeff create problems for the rest of them. And when he saw Jeff’s feet on the back of his seat, he knew he just had to deal with it. So without another word, he sat in the same seat, scooting a bit towards the edge of his seat just so he wouldn’t be in close contact with Jeff. He was already planning on making the man survey the complete opposite side of the town he’d be in, not taking the risk of having Jeff in proximity of him throughout the night. The idea made him cringe, already thinking of a way to apologize to the person Jeff would be in close contact with in town.

She was joking right? That's what it seemed like, maybe the conversation was a success after all. Crow gave a small smile back deciding that around the others would probably not be the best place to continue to conversation. She did give a small little nod though so that she knew she had heard her and was thinking it over....at least that's what she hoped it conveyed. She let Vera climb in first being that she was sitting in the back before climbing in after. She made a face noticing Toby's predicament and gave him a pitying look. A more courageous person might tell Jeff off but....that wasn't her, and she already wore a permanent reminder from the last time and first time she got into an argument with the disturbed killer. So she said nothing, courage didn't keep her alive. She did however wordlessly toss over the fidget she purchased and turned to the back to offer Vera one of her waters with a small smile. Hopefully the fidget would stop him from cracking his knuckles and calm his nerves on top of well provide a distraction from Jeff. Oh no...now he was trying to start stuff with Vera too.

Jeff stretched out unbuckled in the back purposefully taking up as much space as possible. Flashing Vera a smug grin just daring her to say something about it. It was equal parts for his own comfort (he didn't like being cramped up), his own amusement and a test for more information on this newbie. Sure being an ass was a way to entertain himself (who was he kidding, it was minor distraction from the consuming numbness at most.) but he did know when to stop...most of the time. So testing the waters was vital. Plus it was always good to learn what the others were made of.

Tim let out an exhausted sigh taking the singular moment by himself for all it was worth before opening up the driver's side door. He got in putting the keys into ignition before glancing into the back with the mirror letting out a sigh seeing Jeff already causing problems.
"Jeff buckle the fuck up, we're not getting pulled over because you can't follow the most basic fucking law." He said moving to do exactly what he was telling Jeff to do himself. He glanced over to Brian. Just two more hours and they could lose these kids...adults if one could believe it. God on days like this he felt like a tired parent though. He paused taking a breath and turning on the radio to the first one that wasn't just static (a classic rock) and pulled out of the blinking gas station. They really were in the absolute middle of nowhere. Not that any of them were really ones to judge.

The moment Jeff stretched out in the back seat, Vera instantly became irritated. Was he serious? Well, clearly if he was giving her that stupid grin. And not just the one he permanently scarred himself with. Before she could verbally or physically respond, her gaze moved to Crow’s offer of water, flashing her a thankful smile before taking it, only to turn back to the killer next to her.
“You heard Tim,” she sneered, her hand gripping the water in her hand before using one of her knees to nudge Jeff out of her vicinity, “don’t be a dumbass.”
And just like everyone else in the car, she was tired of Jeff’s shit. But she wouldn’t be brushing it off this time around. Not when they weren’t in the eyes of the public, at least. If he wanted to fight, so be it. She could take him any day of the week, and maybe she’d finally be able to show what she was made of.

Toby perked up a bit after hearing Vera’s words, glancing back at her and seeing the scowl on her lips as she glared at Jeff. Was she really that daring to fight with Jeff? Or maybe she was just an idiot… The latter seemed the most plausible, his gaze moving back to the other two in the front to see they seemed too in their own world to care. Or at least, that's how he saw Brian. Did that mean he had to deal with whatever the hell was going to end up in the back? He didn’t think he was capable enough to do such a thing—especially not between two apparent hotheads. And as he was preparing himself to turn back to break up a fight, that was when his eyes moved down to the fidget Crow had tossed over. Oh… He liked those… He picked it up, clamped it in his hand, and toyed with it. At least as a minor distraction for now.

As soon as the car filled with the sound of classic rock, and the inevitable argument in the back, Brian let his eyes shut for a moment. Just so he didn’t have to see the mess that was happening in the back. Like how he had hoped for earlier, he would let Toby handle it. Right now, he was taking a page out of Vera’s book and deciding the best way to continue this journey was to not have to interact with any of them. But now, all he could do now was listen to whatever mess was happening in the back. And for some reason, he was secretly hoping something might happen… not for entertainment purposes, of course, but for learning purposes.
