  Ian has been perhaps best known for his ability and willingness to sing his own praise. That is to say, he can be rather arrogant and generally has a bloated sense of self. His ego fills the room before he walks in - half of his bravado is genuine, though the rest is almost in order to convince himself. His life isn't exactly going in the direction he thought it would be by this point and he has to convince himself that this is still what he wants to be, that it's all according to plan... just not the one he originally had in mind. He's brash, loud, and aggressive a lot of the time, definitely the sort of person to join in a brawl, even the sort to throw the first punch. If the punch has been spiked it was probably his fault, and if there's a crowd gathering around a big public scene, Ian likely caused it, or is at least right in the thick of things. A lot of what he is now - a high school drop out working as a bar tender, stuck in the same town he's been in his whole life - screams of never amounting to anything, being easily forgettable, and Ian strives to be anything but, even if that means getting in trouble and making a scene. He rarely thinks of the consequences when acting, and is the sort to charge in headfirst without a moments pause.
  
  
  That is not, however, to say that he is completely irresponsible. Ian is irresponsible only when he has no one to be responsible for. When it comes to his brother (well, sister, now)he's willing to step up to whatever plate set before him to take care of him - blood runs thicker then water after all and his family will always come first. He gave of the chance of college for Frederick, and has repeatedly given what he saved up to take off with over to his Frederick and Louisa (his/her husband), and to help his father and new mother through hard times. Despite his conservative, small-town upbringing, he fully accepted Frederick's opening up about wanting to be 'Elise' even if he can't completely understand how his little brother wants to be his little sister instead, and he's even helping save up for the surgery as well as helping cover it up and smooth it over with their somewhat less-accepting father. He can become very serious when tasked with something important, or when something he cares about is on the line. In fact, in these situations he is incredibly driven and will work day and night to make sure that his goal is accomplished. But without anything to work towards he becomes a loose canon, unpredictable and often dangerous both to himself and others. He goes out and parties, wreaks havoc, and generally causes chaos... but he'll always make sure that he's around to pick up his newest sibling (a half-sister born from his father's second wife) if he's supposed to, and while he might miss eight out of ten lunch meetings with his father or his younger brother-sister, if he's told it's important he'll not only show up on time, but early. He'll party all night on his day off, but be clean and sober at work the next day, no matter how bad his headache might be for it. He is absolutely reliable when he needs to be, it's just that he very rarely needs to be, so he isn't.
  
  
  His over the top, confrontational attitude can often get Ian into trouble and drive people away from him - it's a large part of the reason he only has a few close friends and was constantly in trouble at school despite getting fairly good grades. He'll argue a point until it's long been beaten through if he thinks he's in the right, and isn't the sort to ever shy from a fight, be it verbal or physical. He's also incredibly protective of his ideals and those he cares about - if someone insulted a family member or friend, even if they did it in class or his place of work where he might get fired or expelled for starting something, he has no problem getting up and punching that person out, especially if the insulted is either not there or unable to defend themselves against it. Which I suppose boils down to, while he's a trouble maker, at least half the time he has a very good reason for making what trouble he does.
  
  
  Ian's also pretty good at lying to himself. He's in a somewhat desolate situation, alone and with a dead end job, trapped in the same small town, but he insists that he's exactly where he wants to be right now. He crows about his situation to make himself like it and to show others that he's in a great space, no matter what's actually going on in reality. It's exactly part of the plan - it just isn't the plan he originally made.

  Casi can be a bit overwhelming at times - she's a very boisterous person, perhaps to balance out her twin's quiet nature. She's always been out there and rarely if ever hides her true opinion. Because of this she's (sometimes overly) honest with people - if you ask her how your dish tastes or if your dress washes you out she'll tell you what she really thinks, even if it's not what you want to hear. She figures it's better to hear the truth from a friend then it is from a critic. She tends to be very friendly when she's not working, the very first to bring out the welcome wagon even when it's unwanted. That being said, when she's working she can get very focused and territorial. If you're near her counter beware, she has no problem snapping at you to get out of the way, even though she's not at all that way normally. She's equally territorial about her kitchen at home (you do not go in there without an invitation), though thankfully this hasn't fully transferred to work - she'll just not let you touch her cutting board, knives and the like when she's using them.
  
  
  She desperately wants to open her own restaurant some day and as such has quite the drive when she's at work. Originally having studied to be a pastry chef, if there's a lull during service she's likely to make a number of new pastry and dessert recipes she's been thinking of and force anyone who comes back into the kitchen to try it and tell her what they think.

  Deliana is, generally speaking, a fairly friendly and cheerful sort of girl. She sees no point in clinging to past bad experiences, and instead tries to push herself forward into the future with a bright outlook on life. When her biological passed when she was very little and her mother carried on after a short period of grieving as if life was much the same, Deliana asked her why. The answer she got would be the basis of her world view for years to come. Her mother told her, "If you dwell on things that hurt you or make you sad you'll spend your life making yourself sadder and more hurt by the minute, and someday you won't be able to remember what being happy feels like. But if you hold onto the good things, you'll make every step of your life one with bounce in it, and you'll carry yourself farther then you ever could if you were held down by misery." It's probably an embellished version, by now, given that Deliana barely remembers her mother at all, but the message was clear, and as the only part of her family she could keep with her (aside from Greenbear, of course) she's held onto it like a life preserver, and it's really helped her through the darker moments of her childhood before her dad, Kalvin, found her.
  
  
  She tries to keep optimistic through all things, but it's not possible to be happy all the time, and trying would be foolish. Since she tries not to be sad or angry or the like for prolonged periods of time, she's decided that it's best to let her more negative emotions run their course passionately when they come up, so that they won't linger unfinished after the event is passed. Occasionally people see her as childish because of how freely she lets her emotions range, but it helps her stay more content and contained as a person if she lets them run the gauntlet when she feels the need to let loose.
  
  
  She's also sometimes seen as childish due to her impulsiveness. She's just turned sixteen and she still likes to slide down the bannister - and will without any thought for what someone else might think. While she should be "acting her age" and showing some sense of decorum, she has no problem climbing a tree out in front of the school without worrying about the fact that she's wearing a skirt - she very rarely thinks before she acts when she sees something she wants to try or that she figures might be fun. And if she does pause to think, the thought is usually just, 'I've gotta try that!'
  
  
  She's quite an ambitious little thing, and can be at times very competitive, a trait she finally found an outlet for in climbing. She's always been a bit of a spider monkey, with a tendency to go up rather than forward if the option arose, and when it became apparent that she'd need a sport to let out all of the energy she seemed to charge up during the school day, climbing was the obvious decision. Given that she lives in a rather urban area, she's more used to rock walls then free climbing and bouldering, or even just plain out door belaying. As such, she's started taking part in her local gyms competition climbing events - race events to reach the top before your opponent. It's hands down her favourite sport, and she thrills at the chance to go head to head with someone at the thing she's best at.
  
  
  Next to climbing, her favourite activity is reading, and she can often be found up in a tree or on top of her dresser with a book. She just feels more at home high up, and once she's in her own up above world she quite loves to dive into a world of someone else's creation as well.

  Jack's got a quick tongue and quicker hands. He's got a bit of a problem keeping his mouth shut and can sometimes get himself into a whole heap of trouble for it - and he only rarely has enough of a sense of self preservation to duck his way out of it. He's confrontational and often gets himself into messes with quipped comments backed up by fists against people he really shouldn't be trying to take on. If he doesn’t agree with what someone's saying he'll say it - and rather rudely - and given his position of being in transition people often slip snide comments his way… snide comments he responds to and usually gets himself in a fight over.
  
  
  He has always been a bit of an opportunist and rarely lets a chance slip him by. He's very set on being who he feels he is, the way he wants to be, and he'll take very chance required to get there. He's fought tooth and nail to get the hormone injections he needs, and to get recognised as who he is, no matter what his body might say. He went through hell to be allowed to use the appropriate bathroom at his job - and is still fighting to get his family to cope with it, though he's starting to think that that particular battle might be one he's not going to win. He's a stubborn son of a gun, though, and is still trying his best to hold his ground, no matter how many times his mother gives him dresses, makeup, and perfumes on the holidays.
  
  
  He's very much 'one of the boys' despite the physical differences - sometimes to the point where she can be a bit overly manly in her demeanor. He's very self conscious about what he lacks physically and tries to make up for it in behavior, though sometimes he overshoots and ends up being untrue to himself in an attempt to convince others that he has the right to feel the way he does about himself. He's got a deep need to prove himself, though he's not quite sure who he feels the need to prove himself to.
  
  
  He's also highly intelligent, and could easily be classified as a nerd due to his intense love of everything in the scientific field.

Most will find it difficult to find Grace in a state where she's not smiling, seemingly perfectly content with her small town girl life. But behind that all she was insecure at a time, very insecure. At her school, she was called names. Grace wasn't overweight, but she wasn't model worthy either. When she asked her mom if she was considered 'fat' she'd simply call it curvy. Eventually people deemed her chubby, and a redneck who have expectations a bit too high. One day, Grace got sick of it. She had been told by her closest friend, Gabriella that she was stronger than them, and they were so insecure they needed others to feel the same way. Gracie stood up for herself, and she's been happy ever since.
