The 'flow' is always a calamity.
Okay, so does anyone remember the film Coraline? Creepy other world, spider woman, all that jazz. It's worth a watch, scares adults and kids.
I'm proposing a relatively small group RP set in the year 2023, with new inhabitants moving in to the Pink Palace, with kids (us) and their slightly neglectful caretakers. A lot of the lore in the RP comes from The Theorizer's videos on Coraline and it's deep hidden backstory which I'll be taking as "canon". The Other Mother/The Beldam is still alive and desperate for new children so she can take their souls and live a little longer.
(Here's the Theorizer's video, it's all his Coraline theories into one: )
Why did you move to Ashland, Oregon? I'd ideally set the kids around age 8-13, old enough to play games with the Other Mother and entertain her but not so old that they begin to distrust this Other World.
Some of the characters from the movie might still live there.
