Realistic or Modern Cops and Robbers (Closed)

Name: Riley Smith
Gender: Male
Age: 22 y/o
Birthday: December 27th
Occupation: College Student / Family Business
Hair: Reddish-brown
Eyes: Green
Height: 6'1"

Personality:
Loser bad-boy or something.
Quiet around most people, but he's actually a huge goof. Riley doesn't care what other people think of him unless they're his friends or he otherwise likes them/enjoys their company. He would sing out loud or dance in public if he felt like it without a care for other people or looking like a dork.
Riley is loyal to a fault and will keep close physically and otherwise with anyone he becomes extremely close to.

History/Family Life:
His family runs one of the higher-up gangs in town. Because of this, his family home was attacked when he was little. He lost his father to the flames and his mother due to smoke inhalation not long after. Since then, he's lived with his uncle who has taken over the family business.
His uncle wants him to focus on his studies and make something of himself beyond what he does. He doesn't want him to end up like his father.
Riley still helps out and is a little punk, but not all that often, seeing as his uncle wont allow him to do anything more serious than a delivery.

Name:
Owen Richards
Gender: Male
Age: 20 y/o
Birthday: April 5th
Occupation: College Student
Hair: Pale Blue
Eyes: Gold
Height: 5'4"

Personality:
+ He tends to act grumpy and hide his true feelings, thinking that being cold is him being cool and seeming mysterious/troubled, though honestly with his family life he is quite troubled.
+ He's a total teddy bear when it comes to the people close to him, though he'll still act tough without being rude or treat them like he would strangers.
+ He may be tiny, but this boy will tear you a new one if you mess with his friends or family and he will be loyal to them no matter what, unless they betray him first.

History/Family Life:
+Born to a prestigious doctor for a mother and a chief of police for a father, Owen was expected to do a lot with his life. Whether it was getting all A's in school or just being a model citizen whilst trying to find a good-paying and well respected career throughout high school, he had to handle a LOT of pressure put on him by his parents.
+Because of this, he loves to rebel in any way that he can. He tends to be dismissive towards his parents for this very reason, because they've never once thought to ask him what he wanted to do with his life or whether or not he had any interest in following in either of their footsteps. They had just assumed.
+ Owen dyed his hair at the age of 13 to the blue that it is now because of how his parents would talk about how gaudy and ridiculous people looked when they would dye their hair some ridiculous color like bright red, or green, or BLUE. They told him that they better not catch him doing anything like that, but what they didn't count on is that Owen had been planning to dye his hair for a while considering he knew how messed up his parents views were on people who were 'different' in their eyes. He hated how they viewed those people for showing who they were through expression and was fully set to do the same himself since otherwise he wold never get to put in his two cents on what he thought was right or wrong in that situation.
+ His parents still nag him to his day about his decision to dye his hair, but he's just happy that he finally got to express himself in some way.

The color of the leaves were beginning to change as the school year was beginning. Riley wasn't particularly excited about being sent a town over to college, but he wanted to make his uncle happy and if college was the way to do it, so be it.

Having gotten there early and already moved himself in, the 22 year old was laying stretched out in the grass right in front of his dorm building. He had his headphones blasting music and eyes closed, resting and trying to prepare himself to deal with whoever he ended up roomed with. The young male was incredibly easy-going, but he knew that some people weren't particularly compatible with himself. He had wanted to just make the drive daily, but his uncle insisted that he "get the full experience."
Bullshit..
He had promised one year to his uncle and after that he would be allowed to decide whether to continue with schooling or go out on his own.

An hour or so passed as he lay, humming the music softly when he woke between 12-20 minute naps. Riley wished life could be as simple and relaxed as he felt right in this moment. Looking up at the leaves slowly falling from their place among the branches.. the sun shining through the autumn leaves and casting a gorgeous light on everything below.. a cool, crisp breeze that let you know winter was on the way. He sighed contentedly and closed his eyes again.

The male's dark auburn hair matched some of the leaves that littered the ground around him. His striped, long-sleeved shirt made him look much lankier than he was and that combined with his red and black, probably-from-HotTopic pants made him look like quite the edgy teen. Not that he particularly cared what anyone else thought... He thought he looked pretty cool, at least.
The male yawned lightly and shifted before starting to doze off again.

The bluenette huffed softly as he walked around campus in a casual black t-shirt and blue jeans with some high-top converse to complete the look along with his book bag hanging lazily off one shoulder. honestly he enjoyed the changing of the seasons just as much as the next person, but for some reason today just felt....weird. It almost felt to him like the sky was brighter and everything just seemed to have a new vibe around it that day, but he didn't know if he liked it. It felt like something new was going to happen...almost a nostalgic feeling even as he walked through the lawn of one of the main buildings on campus while the movers his parents sent with him parked and got things ready to go. He still didn't understand why his parents refused to set foot on the campus themselves, but it was almost expected after all this time of them nor agreeing to his choices.

A light breeze blew through the 20 year old's dyed hair and tossled it into an even messier state than it originally had been in, he couldnt be bothered to fix it though since he knew it would be messy regardless with his curls.

The sun warmed him thoroughly as he continued walking across the dorm lawn, a small smile threatening to crack across his lips at the feeling. Though as he was distracted by the warmth of the sub with the cooler air starting to settle in, he didnt watch where he was going and wound up tripping over someone laying in the grass. A gasp of surprise leaving his lips as he fumbled over his feet and fell over and hit the grass a little further from the figure he'd initially tripped over, a explitive leaving his mouth as he collided with the ground.

Riley yelped as someone suddenly touching him was startling, as well as being practically kicked by whatever moron had tripped over him. The male lurched up into a sitting position, his headphones falling off in the process.
"What the hell?! Want to watch your step?!" He growled out, frustrated at being awoken so abruptly from his nap-state.
The aggressive male was ready to fight someone, but as he saw the smallish boy, he relaxed slightly.
"...." Sighing, Riley rubbed his face, his whole hand sliding from forehead to chin slowly.
"Are you okay..?" He muttered, trying to chill himself out. He was incredibly hot-headed and had been trying to work on it. Seeing the blue-haired kid made it obvious to him that it actually was an accident and not someone messing with him "for fun".

While waiting for a response from the boy, he took in the soft features that made the other guy look younger than he obviously was. He was pretty cute, actually.. and somewhat familiar. The male wondered whether they had met before and started wondering if h should actually be ready for a fight on the other hand.

Owen let out a soft whimper as he moved to push himself up into being on all fours so he could wipe some of the dirt and grass off his face. "I'll give you that since I definitely should have been paying more attention...but who just lays out in the middle of the front lawn?!" he shot back at the male with a slightly peeved expression on his face, wiping his face clean with his hand before looking up at who he had tripped over. He was shocked as the male in front of him seemed familiar, though he couldn't quite place where from...all he knew was now he felt a bit bad for his outburst.

Slowly nodding his head at the question about whether he was okay or not, Owen lightly tilted his head with one brow raised towards the other male. "I'm alright for the most part, but...have we met somewhere before?" he asked slowly with confusion obvious in his voice, taking in the male's appearance and finding his heart jump slightly at how attractive the reddish-brown haired male was though he'd never admit that he felt that way.

The male chuckled at his words. "I guess that's a fair point.. the grass was nice and soft, though.." he huffed lightly and scratched his cheek as he looked over the blue-haired boy. The obviously younger male was actually pretty cute... he looked a bit feminine, but that just added to his perceived sweetness.
"Well, if I had to guess... did you go to Brookfield High?.." he asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"If so, I have to assume that would be where from."
The thug knew that this kid definitely wasn't a client of the family business, so the only other place would be school, but he looked a tad younger. Of course, Riley had been held back base don therapist-recommendation after the fire and loss of his parents. The time off needed for him to recoup caused him to end up way too far behind to be able to catch up, afterall.

The bluenette looked at the male strangely as he seemed to immediately disregard his snappy attitude from before, even agreeing with him. "This...is new." he thought to himself as he slung his book bag once more over his shoulder as he sat on his knees and turned to face the other male.

"I...I'm glad you think so?" the younger male stated in a clearly thrown off voice, just confused at just how chill this male was. It wasn't until the male had mentioned the high school he had gone to that he finally realized who he was. He'd heard stories about the male who dressed like a 'thug'/punk, but was the chillest person you could ever meet. He thought he remembered people saying he had a bad temper as well, but he'd never believed that rumor as someone who had never actually seen the male's temper in person. He nodded in agreement to the question, a slight smile threatening to pull at his cheeks at how adorable the action of tilting one's head seemed to look now that it was the male before him doing it. He quickly squashed the thought though as he lightly shook his head to show he was clearing his thoughts.

"O-Oh yeah, I went there...That's gotta be it." he spoke softly, almost sounding embarrassed, which he cursed himself for thoroughly as he thought it would make him look a bit weak in front of the larger male. His eyes once more looked over the male, taking in his appearance further as he watched to see how he would react, hoping he would just stay chill and not poke fun at him for sounding a bit shy, of all things, like other's had done before when he'd slipped up and let his walls down.

Riley either didn't notice or ignored the other male's embarrassment. He also knew little-to-nothing about the kid.
"So uh.. you need help or anything?.. I better go back up before my roommate shows up. Seems like you're going the same direction, anyway..?" He yawned lightly, standing up and stretching his arms above his head.
The taller male leaned down to grab his phone and headphones, he looked back towards Owen, wondering about him somewhat casually as he waited for an answer.
He found his mind wandering to thinking about what his roommate was going to be like again. Sighing softly at the idea of this year being made even more frustrating because of a bad roommate.
