Cool kid/Social outcast roommates [Inactive]

Madi watched him take the box of music books. Then he said to lead the way. Madi made sure the car was shut and locked again. He had moved from a small town where you didn't have to, so he was cautious here. He picked up the keyboard. Sure he was small, but he'd carried plenty of heavy instruments to learn a thing or two. Then he started to walk back inside, holding the door open for Leo.

Grinning his thanks for holding the door, the redhead led the rest of the way to the apartment. "Where do you want this?" He asked when they were standing outside Madi's room, balancing the box on his hip as he looked over his shoulder at him.

Madi followed Leo back to the apartment. Then he asked where he wanted the box. "Um, you can just put it, um, put it anywhere." He said. He'd figure out where to put the books when he unpacked everything. He just put the keyboard laying on the floor next to the door for now. He didn't want to risk it falling down by leaning it against the wall.

Shrugging, Leo decided to just set the box down on the floor by the bed. With that done, he turned back to look at the other again. "Did you need any more help or...?" He trailed off, leaving it open-ended. He was pretty sure he'd only seen one more box left in the kid's car, but he wasn't sure how heavy it was or if the little guy could lift it by himself. Madi just looked so small and fragile...

Madi looked up at Leo when he asked if he needed any more help. "Um, n-no." He said after a moment. "I, um, I've got it." Sure he was kind of tiny and not all that strong, but when you had seven older brothers who were pretty big - and all strong - you told everyone you could do things yourself. Plus, he'd packed and loaded the box, so he knew he could handle it. "Um, thanks, though." He still had to be nice. Then he went back out to his car and got the box, locking his car once more before managing to make it back to the apartment.

"Okay then..." He replied, shrugging again. He then made his way to the newly designated game room, starting to set up some of the consoles that he brought with him. Before long, he had the room pretty much the way he wanted it and went to sit in the living room and... do... something... or something...

Madi started to unpack, his clothes went first. He hung the nice ones in the closet and everything else went in the dresser. He set up the keyboard in front of the window, near an outlet. He put the music books on the large windowsill and his normal books on top of the dresser. He made a note to get a bookshelf at some point as he set a picture of his entire family on the nightstand.

Heaving himself up off the couch, he dug into his bag and pulled out his mobile, deciding he would call and set up television and internet access in the apartment. On his parents, of course. Not like they'd notice if they lost a couple hundred dollars here and there...

Madi had just finished unpacking, putting a ragged-looking bunny against his pillows when his phone went off. He answered it quickly, knowing it was his oldest brother. He already had a wife and kids, but he was 30, so it was expected. He was already asking if Madi was available to babysit at all. He used to do it all the time before he moved out. "I don't know." He told him. "I told you I need to see if Leo would be okay with a kid being over here." His voice was quiet, but it always was. "I'll talk to him about it soon, okay?"

Once he'd set up the electronics, Leo flopped down on the couch again with an over-dramatic sigh. What was he supposed to do now? The tv wouldn't be operational for another hour, he didn't want to go digging around for his video games, and he sure as hell didn't want to pull apart any more tangled chords so he could set up the VCR/DVD player... Sighing again, the redhead made his slow way over to the bedroom hallway and knocked on Madi's door. "Hey, Madiiii... I'm boooorred..." He complained in the whiniest voice he could muster, hoping that his roommate would somehow magically entertain him or something.

Madi heard the knock on his door. He hadn't planned on Leo coming to his room. While he wasn't exactly embarrassed by the stuffed bunny on his bed, he did not want Leo to see it. He quickly put it under the pillows before walking to the door. He opened it and looked up at Leo. He looked just slightly confused, he wasn't exactly sure how to help Leo not be bored.

Stretching his arms over his head, the redhead gazed boredly around himself. "Heeyyy, roomie... Sup?" He didn't really have any particular conversation planned, so he started with the basics.

Leo was still slightly confused as to why Leo was there. Besides the fact that he had said he was bored. He wasn't sure what to say to the question either. "Um, nothing, I-I guess." He said after a moment.

Nodding a bit, the redhead stared up at the ceiling for a moment. "Sooo... Do you wanna help with buying groceries or whatever? We're gonna need food in the kitchen if we're gonna live here, right?"

Madi realized that they didn't have any food. They'd definitely have to get it soon so he nodded a little bit. "Um, y-yeah." He said after a moment. Seeing as he was done unpacking, he could go whenever. "Do you, um, do you want to go now?" He asked.

"Okay." Madi nodded a bit again. "Well, um, I'm ready to go." He said. He started to think that maybe after they got back he could practice a bit.

"Okay, then, let's get going." With that, Leo turned and started towards the door. "I only have by motorcycle, so is it okay if we take your car?" He asked as they reached the front door, looking over his shoulder at Madi with a raised eyebrow.

Madi shut his door and followed Leo to the front door. Then Leo asked if they could take his car. "Um, yeah." He said, nodding a little bit. He felt to make sure his keys were in his pocket along with his wallet. After making sure they were both there, he was ready to go.

The redhead rocked back and forth on his heels as he waited for Madi to be ready to go get those groceries that they kinda desperately needed. Hopefully Madi was better at figuring out how those new electronic price tag things worked than Leo was...

Madi then started to walk out to his car. When they got to it, he unlocked his door and then hit the button to unlock the other one. It was an old car and it didn't have the automatic unlock thing on it.

((Sorry, but this isn't really a post to the RP and I might not be able to get one up for a while. I'm just really sick and haven't been able to concentrate or really even stay awake for more than a couple hours... And my head hurts too much to look at a computer screen for long... Sorry...))
