Footsteps could be heard echoing through the tunnel. Not in rapid steps, but in a leisurely walk. As the light at the end of the tunnel drew near, a seductive voice began to speak, “Ugh, this mission is gonna be a drag. I can’t believe Cleirigh is having us do this mission. He has us babysitting, this is ridiculous.” One of the footsteps came to slow halt as those words left her comrade’s mouth. She exhaled a little and took a strange look over her shoulder, squinting as if he irritated her to no end, “What?” She spoke sliding the hair out of her face, “A drag? You say?” She turned to face him giving him a look to kill, “I think we’re doing a service to the council. The way I see it we need to know if they have what it takes to be a hunter. I’ve gone through it and so have you.” She then returned her focus back toward the end of the tunnel. “If you have any more comments keep them to yourself.” She finished continuing her stride.

Heels could be heard clicking as the woman finished her statement. The sound of another woman’s voice, higher in octave, began to speak almost in response to the last woman, “Sorry I’m late you guys I couldn’t decide on what to wear,” Her voice then changed a little reflecting a bit of seriousness, “And she’s right you know. We all had to endure this so they should to. Who better to watch over them than us, the best of the best? It will be easy for one of us to take this thing down without even breaking a sweat.” The sound of clacking suddenly stopped and the woman’s voice returned to its original state, “Aren’t these shoes like adorable?” She commented. Her shoes rapidly clicked a few times and then returned to their normal stride.

Trailing behind them were more footsteps. These footsteps sounded softer than the others. The footsteps gave way the mood behind them. Everyone became silent as the subtle footsteps etched closer and closer. They looked at each other as the footsteps met their company. The seductive male’s voice sounded through the tunnel, “Yo…..” The subtle footsteps came to a halt as the word left the males mouth. A light breeze glided through the tunnel as the squeaky prepubescent voice answered, “Hey…” The seductive male then placed his hand on the individual’s shoulder, “So what are your two cents?” He asked. A soft sounding sigh followed as the newcomer came up with a response, the light sounding voice turning to a more serious one “I don’t have a two cents.” He answered removing the male hand from his own shoulder, “At the end of the day we have a job to do and that’s what I intend to do.” The subtle footsteps then continued, “Is that job. Understand?” He finished.

After the tense interactions between the group ended, they continued on toward the end of the tunnel. When they finally reached the end of the tunnel, they were met with the morning sun beaming down on them. The first one out of the tunnel was a woman with brunette hair that stood about 5 foot 8. She had a tan complexion. Her name was Margaret Lindon. She is Harbinger number 5, the fifth knight of the round table. Following her was a black haired young boy that stood about 4 foot 5. He had a darker tan complexion and dark brown eyes that had a signature cut just below his left eye. He is Harbinger number 4 Raphael Larue, the fourth knight of the round table. He has seen more things for his age than anyone has seen their whole lives. Dragging gracefully behind was a dirty blonde male with gray eyes. He stood about 5 foot 11 and had a sort swimmers build. He is Harbinger number 2 @Newtype @Lioness075 @Pumpkakun @DergTheDergon @FrontLine

Lucas dreamed mostly of darkness, thought every no and then a snip of the graduation the day before would flash before him. It had been a long and slightly tedious event, but it had been a tradition and Lucas knew it had to be done. It had been an interesting graduation to say the least, even more so when his flask of Absinthe had made its rounds through the rest of the group.

Now the after math of the flask and its contents where pounding on his head waking him from the restless sleep. He rolled over in his bed and lay his arm out to the side which lay atop another body in his bed. His brow furrowed he opened one of his eyes slowly, the light from the window across from his bed. A mop of bright red hair lay on a pillow next to him breathing lightly. Lucas opened to other eye and lifted his head off his own pillow with an unamused look. He began to think back to the night before and recalled the bar that the group had closed down.

With a sigh, he threw the covers off of him and lifted himself out of his bed. Cloths scattered across the floor he kicked through a few layers until he found what he was looking for. He dawned his cloths and went over his cabinets in his small kitchen and pulled a small silver flask out and slipped it into his jacket. Then he walked over to the other side of his living room and pulled out a small chest that was tucked away into his side table. He produced a key from his pocket and popped the lid open. He reached in and dawned his two leather bracers, fastening them tight to his wrists. He flicked his wrists and the blades shot out at high speed. He gave the blades a flick of the wrists and the blades spun around as daggers like a cowboys six shooter. Then with another flick, they disappeared with a slide and click into his jacket sleeves. The last thing he did before left was pulled a small stick note from the fridge and wrote a quick note "Nothing worth stealing, leave when you wake up." He pulled the note off the pad and walked over to the sleeping mass of red hair and stuck it to the fore head attached.

He smiled and headed for the front door where he pulled it shut and went off to roam the streets for a place to get some breakfast. After a few blocks of walking he found his usual place on the corner and headed inside. The classically styled dinner was full of people, most of which where in the midst of their conversations and food. Lucas looked across the dinner and found a black haired boy and a girl who looked like twins. The boy turned as the girl mouthed something and he looked at Lucas with a smile and a wave. "Venom! Over here!" Lucus sighed and made his way over to the pair. His fraction members where very keen on their alias's when they were out in public, so he just shrugged it off and sat next to them. "Dammit Viper, Don't be so freaking loud till I get coffee and food. Widow, would you mind controlling your stupid brother?" Viper sat back with a huff as Venom motioned for the waitress who knew is usuall and started taking down the order.

Sunlight wafted through the thin drapes of a dark apartment room, bringing little light that barely lit anything in the room beyond a few feet of the floor near the window itself. Darkness shrouded most of the room and the silence brought ringing to one's ears. On one side of the dark room, there was a headless, armless, and legless mannequin with a dark set of armor set up on it as if a human were wearing it despite the lack of human limbs. Nearby, a locked up chest was against the wall, though what was inside remained a mystery. In a corner of the room stood a weapons rack, but instead of there being several daggers, swords, or even various weaponry, all that was on it was a small pistol with several leather pouches of ammunition around it and numerous decks of cards.

Opposite of the wall with gear and supplies, was a small cot with a motionless figure lying on it. The figure moved only slightly every so often, as their chest rose rhythmically in sleep. There was also a shabby kitchen area of the apartment with just the bare necessities of a fridge, sink, and microwave atop the small counter. The fridge had little in it, though the occupant of the apartment had made sure to fill it with a bit of alcohol. Some old habits die hard, so it would seem.

The echoing silence of the room was broken for a moment, as distant screaming could be heard on top of some odd, gargling sound, as if some creature were trying to howl, but it couldn't quite make out the sound. This howling sound echoed through the room on top of the distant screaming, yet looking to the cot now, one would see it was already empty, the figure having disappeared among the darkness of the room. There was a small sound of boots shuffling around the room and even a small cough while one could hear leather being pulled taut. A clicking sound was heard, as the single pistol was double checked for ammo and then holstered while the ammo pouches were secured around the figure's uniform. Soon, all of the decks of cards had disappeared under the cloak of the figure and then the figure slowly approached the window, pushing the thin drapes to the side and suddenly enveloping most of the room in light.

Leandra stood at the window, peering curiously through it with an impassive face, as she took note of a Hirudo just outside of her apartments, attacking some stranger, who seemed to be failing at defending herself. Sighing, Leandra pulled up her hood over her face and ensured that her cloak was secured to her before she exited the room, hiding a few flasks of alcohol in her uniform while she was at it, locking the door behind herself and tucking the key, which was on a chain, into her undershirt. As Leandra walked down the hallways of her apartment building, she could hear more shouts and screams from outside, as it seemed that more Hirudos had made their appearance. What was going on? Why were so many of them suddenly appearing like this?

Better yet, Leandra hadn't even had her first drink of the day and chaos was already ensuing.

Sighing, Leandra pulled out one of her flasks and took a sip of her drink just as she opened the door to her apartment building and was immediately met with a Hirudo tackling a woman to the ground. Finishing her sip, Leandra then deftly unholstered her pistol with her free hand and leveled it at the Hirudo's head before firing off a round and watching with satisfaction as the shadowy creature dissipated into nothingness. Holstering her pistol, Leandra then took another sip of her drink while the woman scrambled to her feet and eagerly thanked Leandra, using her alias that she was well-known for, The Dealer.

Rolling her eyes at the woman, Leandra then waved her off, as the woman sprinted past Leandra and back inside the apartment complex. Closing her flask and hiding it among her uniform once more, Leandra then took out a deck of cards and casually examined the cards while she began to walk towards more of the sounds of chaos that seemed to surround her. Leandra had graduated the day before and now this happened? Would she ever truly get a break from the chaotic world that she lived in?

Sora woke up to sting on the side of his face with one of his comrades hovering over him. Sora thought to himself, nSorsko bad waking up to hot ninja girl even with the pain on my face. "Wake Up and get equipped a spike in soul essence has been detected by Kou. That means Hirudos will be upon this area in seconds." she said. Sora still groggy said "Instead of me getting dressed, why don't you join me?" That earned him backhanded smack that made him say "Okay you got it, I'll get ready." She backed away from him and commented "That's what I like to here, Apocalypse." She exited the room and Sora breathed a sigh while rubbing his face. He rolled to his feet and approached a bowl of water near his bed and splashed his face ro wake him up. It wasn't a habit of Sora to be like this but they were supposed to have a week of fun and care free relaxation before really getting into this hunter life.

He then began to put on his equipment when he looked out the window and noticed it was quite early. Then he began to here sounds of screaming and objects breaking. Looking at a street a little bit far away he noticed peole running from shadowy figures. Hirudos! Seeing it with his own eyes woke Sora up completely. He quickly placed his kunai and shuriken in their proper pouches then slung his Katana over his back and a wakazashi on his hip. He exited his room and joined his comrades.

"Okay there has been a spike in Soul essence and we helievee Hirudos have invaded the city. We must exterminate them in three teams. My team will be a team of 4. My team will consist of Shu, Kou, Sora and myself. Team 2 will be Rei, Donar, and Mu. Team 3 will be Sina, Marq, and Osu." The number 2 graduate Miria explained. Sora had no objections so he simply nodded his head with the others, Miria was the better strategists of the two. Miria gave the signal for Teams 2 and 3 to go, they disappeared out of the windows on the left and right the room. Miria lead Team 1 through the front window. "Engage, Free Movement!" Miria ordered.

Once out on the side of the building the Ninja graduates were rooming in they got into a diamond formation with Miria in the front and Sora in the rear. They then jumped to a nearby building and ran up the side of it then over onto the rooftop. The raced acrossed the rooftop and down the side of the building, their apparent target was pair of quadruped hirudos not too big. Miria motioned for Shu and Kou to get the first nearby one, this left the farside one to Sora and Miria. Sora and Miria then jumped from the building to another on the opposite side of the street. Sora drew his katana and descended down the building, he jumped the last 15 feet and rolled in front of the hirudo once his feet made contact with the ground. He threw two shuriken in its supposed eyes as Miria rained down a barrage of kunai from above killing it. Another Hirudo came around the corner, Sora turn around and backflipped on top of the beast, he then plunged his sword deep into it's neck killing it. Sora felt the ground under his feet again as the hirudo dissipated. He look at Shu and Kou who were moving back into formation.

Then another Hirudo bigger than the last three showed itself. "This one is mine alone." Sora told his team. He raced out in front of them towards the Hirudo as it began to lunged for him. Sora used Free Movement to slide to the right in a burst of speed while slashing the Hirudo's side. The beast landed and turnd around unfazed by the slash. Sora decided to step up his game as the beast came at him again. This time two giant armored clawed arms sprouted from his shoulder and seized the beast mid air, claws digging into it's side. The arms brought the Hirudo closer as a giant curved black blade came Sora's wrist. He impaled the hirudo and it dispersed into nothingness. The blade and the arms retracted by into Sora as if they were never there. Miria motioned for them to move out, the day was just getting started.

Beep….beep….beep…the alarm sounded loudly as the morning sun peeked in the crack of the shades. An arm flew over to shut it off, but instead slid the clock off the nightstand, “Damn..” A groggy voice murmured. After laying there for a few moments, the guy rolled over revealing marks on his face from sleeping too hard. He swung his feet around so he could slide into his slippers. Eyes squinting, he reached for his phone to look at the time. He yawned, “Ah eight oh five,” he commented rubbing his face. He threw the phone back on the stand and got up from the bed. Once he got up he forced himself into the restroom. He looked into the mirror for a moment, revealing his morning look. “Damn Kehinde you look rough in the mornings.” He spoke to himself. He turned around and turned on the shower to prepare himself for the day.

Whilst he was in the shower, the water pressure slowly got lower and to Kehinde’s surprise the water got colder. This woke him right up, the anger starting to set in as he turned the knobs to cut the water off. “They’ll hear about this.” He stepped out the shower and dried himself off. He opened the door and waltzed over to the closet to grab his clothes for the day. He pulled down some underwear, shorts, a tank, and socks. His real outfit was pressed and ready to go.

After while he put his clothes on, sprayed himself with a hit of lavender, looked in the mirror, and smiled. He knew he looked good. He then went over to his bed and started making it up. While he was doing so, a knock came to the door. “Room service,” A feminine voice lightly announced. Kehinde’s head shot up as he looked at the door, “Just a moment….” He responded, rushing around to his nightstand to grab a few belongings. “Phone…check, wallet…check, shades…check and check…” Seemingly forgetting about the bed he ran over to the door, grabbing his coat and his weapon. “Can’t leave without this,” He smiled, opening the door. Standing at the door was a fairly nice looking woman. Her eyes were hazel and her build was average. He winked at her as he walked past her, “I kind of started on the bed…thought I missed room service this morning.” The woman smiled a little, “Its ok love. I take care of the rest.” She responded reassuringly.

With that Kehinde started down the hall to the elevator. He pressed the button and waited for it to arrive. While he stood, he got to thinking about the shower this morning. When the elevator arrived, he stepped in and rode it to the lobby. The door slid open revealing an unusually busy lobby. He didn’t pay it any attention as his mind was elsewhere. He stopped a front desk clerk, “Could I speak with a manager, please?” He asked. The clerk politely obliged, “Yes sir just one moment.” He watched the clerk all the way until she was out of view. He decided he’d go over to a nearby chair while he waited. *Press Play* Not long after he sat down, his heart skipped a beat, almost knocking the breath out of him. The only times that happen is when he’s nervous or a something strange is happening. Soon after that, a lady ran in yelling and screaming alerting Kehinde’s attention. “T……the windows just shattered out of nowhere…..the cars just flipped themselves." She exclaimed. Kehinde tilted his head a little as he listened to the woman. “Don’t go out there! I think someone is setting bombs around the city.” She added, breathing heavily. All of a sudden a loud roar rang in Kehinde’s ear. Everyone in the lobby hit the floor as if a bomb went off.

Kehinde’s heart skipped a beat once again. He quickly stood to his feet and started for the door, “No way…that can’t be what I think it is.” The doors slid open and Kehinde walked out to get a closer look. The thing roared once again as it swooped down right in front of the hotel. “No kidding a Hirudo now?” He questioned himself, walking into the street. “Don’t be crazy man there’s something crazy going on man.” A bystander yelled out. He looked over his shoulder and smirked, “Oh yeah that’s right they can’t see Hirudo.” He thought. The Hirudo circled back in the sky setting his sights on Kehinde. He saw the Hirudo get ready for a charge. It was a gruesome looking one. It was almost that of a shadow but not quite. It resembled a vulture looking for fresh prey. This particular Hirudo could fly. He shook his in disbelief as the events in front of him unfolded. The Hirudo began to charge at him at full speed. It let out a roar that knocked the cars off the street. He moved so quickly that it caught Kehinde off guard. He jumped out the way just barely missing the Hirudo by a couple of seconds. He got up and leaned on his elbow, “What the hell? He’s quicker than any Hirudo I’ve encountered in the past."

As the Hirudo circled back once again, Kehinde turned to the bystanders, “Alright Everyone inside hurry!” The bystanders quickly scurried to the hotel lobby for safety. He returned his attention back toward the Hirudo. He then started back for the street rolling up his sleeves. “You know, the hardest part about my job is having to get dirty,” He commented to himself, “But since you made me fall to the ground it’s only right I return the favor,” The Hirudo grunted and prepared to dive in. Kehinde stood in the middle of the road and spread his feet apart. The Hirudo had begun to make its U-turn double back. Kehinde held out his right hand and placed his left on his forearm. The Hirudo had completed its swift turn around and initiated a full speed charge. Kehinde closed his eyes and began to chant, “Thrive in the darkness, Grind the gears of hell. Stricken thy enemy under venom's spell.” The Hirudo was now at full speed charging at Kehinde that stood right in the way. The Hirudo was gaining speed by the second. He then opened his eyes revealing a Violet tint in his eyes then locking them on the approaching Hirudo. “Konservi Mu….To Mavro Fidi,” Kehinde yelled with conviction. At that moment, chains began to spew from his hand, shooting right at the incoming Hirudo. The chains quickly reached its target wrapping around the Hirudo restricting it movements. The Hirudo roared an ungodly roar and rapidly began descending out of the sky in the direction of Kehinde. Kehinde, breathing heavily, cursed, “Oh shit….” He mumbled.

Booooom! The Hirudo slammed into the ground at what seemed to be a hundred miles an hour. Lucky enough for Kehinde he used Kinsi to get out of dodge. The impact itself and the Konsido side effects that squeezed anything caused the Hirudo to dissipate into thin air. By that time Kehinde got there, he was long gone. While he stood there his heart once again skipped a beat. Another roar rang out causing a chill to slide down Kehinde’s spine. “What is going on here?” He asked himself. He ran over to check on those in the lobby and told them to 'stay put.' They all agreed and Kehinde took off toward the other roar he heard. He was feeling soul essence from all over.

It was around 4 AM in council city. Night still blanketed the dorm building as a petite young woman with long black hair, wearing a modest grey nightgown, sat reading by her desk lamp in the small, otherwise-devoid-of life dormroom. The room itself was very plain: No posters or other things of that nature adorned the walls. Vienna's bed sat against one wall, the covers already neatly made, despite the hour. Her desk faced the window, and as she read a book by dim lamplight, she periodically glanced outside to see when the sun would begin rising. She flipped her slightly damp hair to get it out of her eyes. She had already taken a shower, as she had woken up an hour before. She made a point of setting her alarm for 3 AM, despite doing to bed around midnight. To others this habit may seem downright insane, but to Vienna it was necessary so she could spend the quiet wee hours of the morning simply doing something enjoyable in comfortable solitude before the other students began to stir and the pleasant silence was interrupted by their activities. Vienna had always been a night owl of sorts, preferring long evenings and naps during the day whenever she could get away with them. A few hours went by, Vienna leisurely flipping the pages of her book in total silence and nearly-total darkness, the lamplight set just bright enough for reading to be possible. The sun began to rise, and Vienna was so enthralled by her book she didn't notice. Her concentration was suddenly broken by an awful feeling in her gut, that could only have one cause... a sudden increase in soul essence. That cannot be good... that can't be good at all.

Vienna closed the book, putting it back on the desk and began hastily putting on some more appropriate clothing for roaming campus. slipping out of the grey nightgown, she stepped into her usual black miniskirt, white dress shirt and a black jacket over that. By the door, her scythe hung by its strap next to her cloak. Strapping the weapon to her back and draping the cloak about her shoulders, pulling the hood up so it nearly covered her eyes, she slowly began creaking the door open to see what the commotion was. Just then she heard a very loud crash, causing her to flinch and throw the door the rest of the way open. Turning her head towards the source of the noise, she heard an even more disturbed one... the unmistakable inhuman screech of several Hirudos. Her normally stoic face assumed an irritated frown, and she reached behind her back to pull her scythe from underneath the cloak, before rushing towards the noises.

In the hallway, one the hideous beasts she had heard before was assaulting some hapless underclassman. She sighed, stoically approaching, muttering under her breath, drawing the energy from the shadows to make her whispers seem inaudible to those around her. Anyone looking at her would see her mouth move, but hear nothing. She leisurely spoke an incantation like this. "Thrive in the darkness, Grind the gears of hell. Stricken thy enemy under venom's spell. Konservi Mu...To mavro fidi." Bringing up her right hand towards a long morning shadow cast on the wall, it rushed out and leapt towards the Hirudo, the creature now unable to move. it was so busy trying to maul an underclassman to death it didn't recognize a real threat. The student froze for a second, and looked towards Vienna. The first year girl gave her a grateful look but didn't know how to react. "Go. Get away from it," Vienna whispered, her voice seeming to echo next to the new girl's ear. Due to the poor girl's combined terror from the sudden Hirudo attack and Vienna's roundabout way of saving her, she dashed past the cloaked girl hurriedly. Vienna sighed, and stepped towards the hirudo carefully, methodically looking over the weak points she perceived on the creature. just as it was about to break free from her shadows, her scythe was brought down upon its hideous head, piercing where its brain would be if it were truly sentient.

She heard several more screeches thought the building, and sighed. What a bother... is this some surprise post-graduation exam or something? I wouldn't be surprised. Vienna concentrated to send several audible whispers to the rooms of 3 other Shadow Graduates. "East hallway, top floor. Hurry up and help me kill them." After a while, as she teleported from shadow to shadow, slashing at one of the beasts, a boy also dressed in black appeared next to her. Looking to him with a completely neutral expression, she spoke in deadpan. "I was wondering when you'd show." "Yeah, yeah," the boy replied, before simply rushing in with his chain scythe and ending the existence of the hirudo Vienna had been attacking. It wasn't long before two more of Vienna's classmates appeared, just as suddenly and silently as the first. One was another boy, the other was a girl, somewhat taller and more top-heavy than Vienna. Together, they cleared the floor of Hirudos, before hearing more screeches from below. One of the boys made an annoyed grunt, and spoke up. "...What the hell is going on? Isn't the council supposed to be handling this?" Vienna simply shrugged, and began shadow-stepping towards the noises. Her classmates followed.

Danielle woke up in her hammock. She set one up on their bedroom preferring it over the actual bed. She opened the window breathing in the early morning air. Not as good as the Isles Danielle thought. She began to get dressed putting on her clothes, coat and belts. She took a bag of real bullets because she likes to fire actual bullets from time to time even thought her twin pistols could fire her soul essence. She opened the door and stepped out into the early morning, the sun has just begun to peak. "Maybe a little stroll and gambling would be nice" she said as she strode out the door. "Danielle! Where are you going?" called her fraction members, "I'm going out, what do you think? Go drink yourselves under the table or something but leave me alone!" she replied. They're so annoying, can't a girl have a little me time? I am graduating.

Danielle was walking through a park after she had hustled a couple of passerby sand street vendors. She finished eating a hotdog and dumped the rubbish over he shoulder. She stopped and stretched taking in the morning sun. Graduation week! Time to cruise and relax! She leisurely thought when she spotted movement on the corner of her eye. She quickly turned around pulling out her right hand pistol and aiming it. She let out an exasperated sigh as she saw a Hirudo. She sent out two bullets and they both hit the Hirudo on its head one after the other. "And here I thought there weren't going to be no problems!" she said annoyed as the Hirudo dissolved into nothing. Several more Hirudos jump from the trees and surround her. "Great even more trouble" she said under her breath. Pulling out her left pistol she did a quick spin shooting all of them in the head. She then blew off the smoke of her pistols as the Hirudo bodies disappear. Seems to be a lot of them. I better call backup just in case. Danielle loaded a weird cartridge into her gun and fired it. A red flare shot up into the sky and then fell towards the city. Those idiots better not be drunk and not understand a simple flare signal she thought as she began a leisurely stroll towards the city. She could hear commotion coming from it and cocked her pistols ready to kill some Hirudo.

She approached the city and saw fractions fighting and Hirudos everywhere. She put her fist to her head and leaned over. "Great! I knew it! This better nor be a test or I will get pissed!" She saw a dark skinned male run past her and decided it best to follow. My "teammates" must be either so drunk and dead or busy with Hirudos. So Danielle followed after the boy and ran for the first time in the day. "Hey wait up" she called. "Do you know why all the Hirudos are here? They aren't usually this concentrated" she inquired as she sent off a few shots killing Hirudo as she passed by.

Kimirou's eyes shot open. His head slowly rotated to his left, revealing the clock. The time was 7 o'clock, and the sun was barely peeking through the curtains of the hotel room. He ground as he lifted himself from the pillow and swung his legs off of the left side of the bed simultaneously. His right hand met his head softly, cradling and caressing his temple in a slow circular motion. "Last night was fun." He mumbled to himself as he stood and shuffled towards the bathroom. When he arrived at the latrine, he did his morning duties, showering, brushing his teeth, shaving, things of that nature. The time finally arrived to get dressed. Kimirou put on a black t-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans. He decided his hi-top polo boots would be the best in this case. They were black and he had spikes custom embedded in the back of the heels. He then threw his leather spiked jacket on and finished the entire outfit off with a studded leather choker. He winked at himself in the mirror and proceeded out of the door. As he passed through the lobby he waved at the female receptionist and smiled. She did the same back to him.

Once outside of the hotel, Kimirou stopped and reached into his right pocket to pull out his phone. He read the time on the screen. "8:30 this would be late if I was home. However, I guess I did wake up on time. Since they are two hours ahead of us." He spoke to himself while shoving then phone back in his pocket. He began to walk around the city hoping to find something of interest. A small coffee shop caught the corner of his eye as he passed it. Not the shop itself but the logo. The logo depicted that of a girl surrounded by card soldiers. The name of the hole in the wall being "Alice's." He giggled at the thought of such an original name. He walked into the shop hoping the barista would be able to make his favorite drink. Once inside the barista caught his eye. She was a woman about his same age as he is. She stood at a height of about 5' 2", this being only about six inches shorter than himself. He walked up to the counter and cleared his throat. The woman greeted him with a smile and a very professional tone expressed the words, "What can I get you, hun?" He smiled as stated his order as clearly as possible, "I would like a Caramel Macchiato. Extra shot of espresso, extra foam, chocolate syrup, caramel ribbon, chocolate chips, and extra strong. Also make sure it is even all the way through and let me get a shot of espresso fresh approximately two minutes before it is completed." Her smile grew even larger at the challenge, obviously being passionate about coffee making. She turned around after three minutes and handed him the appetizer espresso he asked for. He accepted it with a smirk, thinking to himself. 'This is faster than I would expect so I bet something will be wrong.' His eyes grew after sucking down the shot. His thoughts ran once again 'She laced it with sugar and it's mixed perfectly. Maybe I was wrong.' She then turned again and handed him a grande size. "You didn't say a size, so I gave you large. Also, it's on the house." With a satisfied look upon her face, she turned back to the station and began to clean up. "Thanks for the challenge." Left her lips once her face could no longer be seen. Kimirou skeptically looked at the cup, curiously waiting for his taste buds to dislike the taste and consistency of the drink. He took the first sip. His eyes rolled into the back of his head out of satisfaction. He turned and stunned by the sure perfection of the drink walked out of the door.

Once the door slammed shut behind him, a violent soul essence filled his senses causing him to drop the drink. Out of frustration, he stomped his foot. "Damn! That was the best drink I have ever tasted." He lifted his head from the sad site of the dead drink to notice a Hirudo appear and begin following a man across the street. Kimirou pulled a ice die from his left pocket and flicked it at the Hirudo. By the time the die hit the Hirudo, it had transformed itself into an ice needle. The Hirudo groaned as it dissipated from existence. He turned toward his right side to reenter the cafe, only to interrupt himself midways along the sidewalk. Another Hirudo appeared right in front of him. He pulled another die out. He made the die shift into a dagger and shoved it into what might have been the chest. With Hirudo not having a definite shape, sometimes it is hard to depict body parts. The Hirudo groaned and dissipated like the one before. He then completed his turn towards the door and noticed a group of Hirudo behind him. He quickly opened the door and screamed inside, "Lock the door and no one leave. It's dangerous out here." Kimirou then pulled out two dice and place one in each hand. By the time he turned around and raised his hands in the direction of the group of Hirudo, the ice dice were in the shape of two ice pistols. He began vigorously shooting soul essence bullets at the Hirudo. They began dissipating in rapid succession. However, it seemed as though every Hirudo that dissipated was replaced by two or more Hirudo. It seemed to be an endless cycle until about fifteen minutes had passed. At that moment, a roar rumbled the ground beneath Kimirous feet and all the Hirudo dissipated at once. However, this was more like a running away dissipation than a defeated dissipation. Kimirou sighed in relief and turn back to the cafe. "All clear" he notified the civilians. They cheered at the site of such a young hunter protecting them and quickly went back to what they were doing. The thoughts ran through Kimirou's head. 'I wonder what the hell that was and why did it cause the Hirudo to run.' He continued to guard the cafe for a few moments and then threw a die towards the ground. It transformed into a ice snowboard. He stepped onto it and it began hovering off of the ground. It then began hovering down the sidewalk.

The Harbingers

Activity was starting to pick up since Ralph accidentally dropped the rudai. It was catching everyone off guard because the weren't expecting this many Hirudo to show up. The sun was high up in the sky beaming down, the temperature beginning to meet it's afternoon high. The Harbingers stood keeping watch.

"Well....they have arrived," Sebastion commented, folding his arms.

Placing his hand to his ear Ralph then responded, "Yes, we are aware of that. They are just in time, It appears that these Hirudo are strangely coming out off the woodworks."

Margie chimed in, "I have my eye on some of the hunters right now. Did I just see an assassin just drink liquor? Sebastion she's worst than you! "

Ralph rolled his eyes, "Well, considering the people she has to deal with I bet she needs a drink every once in awhile." He added.

"Young man, it's not good to drink. No need to expose you to bad habits while you're this young." Margie commented.

Sebastion chuckled, "Nonsense! better late than never! Besides I became harbinger number two whilst I was drunk. Maybe if he had a few maybe He'd actually be somebody." He added.

Margie irritatedly, retorted, "Sebastion. Don't start! You know how you two get when you're talking about that subject..." Gaia twirled her hair as she listened to the back and forth on the ear pieces. She, of course, was watching the ninja faction use formations techniques to handle the Hirudos. "Guys like are you seeing this?" Gaia radioed. Margie stopped her bickering, "Seeing what?" She asked. Gaia responded, "Got two graduates from the Ninja faction using a formation against the Hirudos." Margie puzzled, used Kinsi to get to Gaia's location. Once there, she walked over toward Gaia to see for herself. "No kidding. I guess they did learn a few things while in the academy. Told you the Ninja faction was the smartest Our predictions about these graduates are proving to be right." Margie observed. "I got one! Kimirou Asura graduate 701 just got on with needles made of ice. Sucks about that Macchiato, though. Poor guy probably didn't get the chance to enjoy it. All in a days work haha." Sebastion chimed in. Ralph then interrupted, "Nooo, my hunters are better. K....K....kyhite. Whatever his name is from the Scouts faction just did one using a Konsido. Needs to learn not to be so reckless. Danielle Aukai looks like she's a lone wolf. If I had to say anything I....wait is she going after Kyhite??" Margie chuckled and smirked, "It's Kehinde, Ralph get their names right Ok? I don't think she is going after him. Atleast I hope not. Say we are missing a graduate and I don't see her. Her name I think........."

Her thoughts were interrupted by a messenger from the messenger unit. They appeared with an ominous look their eyes as if something we're wrong. "Report, the council has reported a higher than usual activity from this location. Are the graduates ok?" He relayed. Margie then gave the young man a quizzical look, "They are doing just fine. When we complete this mission we will have a full report on their desk. Do me a favor, gather as much information about this location you can on this particular area. There must be something up." The messenger nodded and vanished away. Sebastion radioed back, "I'm going to go down for a closer look. We might have to jump into this thing." Ralph followed up, "I'll call for permission to create a barrier. Keep your distance. Remember what the idea here is. This is for the graduates to handle not us. I'm watching this Danielle lady for now in case she tries something on our watch." With that, all four vanished from the buildings and into the city. Things were getting ugly quick.

Leandra calmly continued on her way to the nearest chaotic noise and rounded a corner on a street to find a couple being chased by Hirudo, though all they seemed to be aware of was the exploding cars and how the explosions were following them while the Hirudo shrieked at them. As for the Hirudo, one of them was a contorted bird-like creature while the other resembled something like a bull despite it having some long tail-like appendage dragging along the ground behind it. Sidestepping the fleeing couple, Leandra then muttered under her breath, "Thrive in the darkness, Grind the gears of hell. Stricken thy enemy under venom's spell." Holding up one of her palms towards the flying Hirudo, chains soon sprung out of her sleeve and quickly entangled the flying Hirudo, bringing it crashing on top of a nearby car. Shame too, since the car seemed to be one of the really nice and expensive ones.

With her one hand busy with restricting the movements of the struggling flying Hirudo, Leandra then used her other freed hand to summon several cards from her deck of cards that she'd been messing with while en route. The deck of cards lay open on the ground after Leandra had dropped them on purpose, giving her more leeway with how she could maneuver herself. The charging Hirudo was swiftly nearing Leandra and she wasted no time in deftly moving her free hand and arm through the air, as the levitating cards all suddenly flew straight at the bull Hirudo, cutting at its legs and causing it to trip over itself. By the time the bull Hirudo finished sliding across the ground, it was within a few feet of Leandra herself.

Quickly summoning another set of cards from the open deck, Leandra then sent them all towards the Hirudo's neck, severing its shadowy neck within seconds. Suddenly, Leandra felt a jerk from her imprisoned flying Hirudo and she scowled when she shifted her age to find the Hirudo struggling against its binds despite them only serving to make it suffer even more. Deciding to end this quickly so she could move onto more important matters, like taking another swig from her flask, Leandra sent a card at the flying Hirudo's neck to end it quickly, only to have the Hirudo lurch to the side to avoid the attack. Narrowing her eyes at this, Leandra then suddenly jerked at the chains, yanking the Hirudo off the car it'd crushed and onto the ground beside it. The Hirudo let out a shriek at this, but the shriek was cut off, as Leandra sent two cards cutting deeply into its neck. Satisfied with a job well done, Leandra then dismissed the chains and turned on her heel to find another Hirudo to engage, as the other two behind her dissipated.

Arriving at an intersection while sipping on her alcohol again, after hearing something stomping around loudly, Leandra paused for a moment in surprise, as she saw a large, elephant-like Hirudo stomping on a car, which was devoid of any riders luckily since it was completely smashed to the ground by now. As if sensing her mere presence, the Hirudo stopped its stomping and slowly turned to face Leandra while snorting and then roaring at her. The roar was loud enough to shatter glass in the vicinity and Leandra doubled over for a moment while clutching her ears and gritting her teeth. Once the Hirudo stopped roaring, Leandra removed her hands from her ears and frowned when she saw a bit of blood on them. Her ears were still ringing from the roar and thus, she was temporarily deafened. Quickly, Leandra stowed away her flask, ensuring that her alcohol wouldn't be in danger of being lost in a fight. With a bit of blood trickling down either side of her head from the attack on her ears, Leandra unholstered her pistol and then with a click of a button, the pistol began unfolding and clicking, as it reformed into a sniper rifle.

Taking aim at the Hirudo's face, right between its shadowy and contorted eyes, Leandra inhaled slowly, as she prepared to take aim. Just as Leandra took aim at the Hirudo though, it began to charge right at her, letting out a less dangerous roar, as it prepared to knock Leandra aside as if she were a mere fly. Surprised by the Hirudo's audacity, Leandra fired off a round before she was completely ready and then rolled to the side while the Hirudo charged past her. Swiftly rolling into a crouch, Leandra then looked at the Hirudo to see if she'd caused any damage, but when it turned to face her, Leandra was disappointed to see that she'd only gotten a glancing blow and her bullet had torn through the side of the Hirudo's face, but hadn't really slowed or stopped it at all. This wasn't any ordinary Hirudo for sure.

Vienna and her three classmates kept stealthily moving through the building, finally spotting the fifth and final Hirudo in the dorm. It rushed towards the other girl in the group without warning. "Casey, watch-" One of the boys started to say, but it was too late: The creature had already leapt at her, pinning her down. Vienna held out her hands towards the boys to signal them to stop before they charged in, using official Shadow sign language to tell them to teleport behind the beast and flank it. They nodded and did so, and Vienna wordlessly approached the beast, carefully, methodically, and the beast looked up from the girl it was pinning down, much to her relief.

Vienna concentrated on the shadow energies around her, creating four clones of herself around her. "I am a larger threat. Come and get me... but which am I?" She said this stoically, no hint of emotion in her voice or on her face, and this echoed four times as the clones mimicked her every word and movement, down to the goading flourish of her scythe. The beast made a confused noise, and a roar, jumping towards and dispersing one of her clones, then another, then- being run through by the Real Vienna's Scythe. The boys also went in, finishing the creature off. Vienna sighed, breathing rather heavily from all the fighting, then approached the other girl, holding her hand out as the boys also walked up to her. "You alright?" Vienna asked, to which the girl nodded and pulled herself up, saying nothing and looking rather disappointed in herself, grasping her side where the Hirudo had made a large gash with its claws. Looking over the girl and seeing this, vienna looked sternly into the girl's eyes. "Casey, you are to stay here... I sense more Hirudos nearby. We three will be fine." Casey looked slightly offended and opened her mouth to protest, before sighing heavily and nodding her head dejectedly. She knew Vienna did not ask anything of others so much as demand it, and that it was in her best interest. As Casey began to walk back up the stairs, Vienna sent a whisper after her. "You did well... just try to be more alert next time." The girl paused, and nodded very slightly, before continuing up the stairs to rest. While the comment was deadpanned, anyone who gets to know Vienna starts to realize she sincerely means everything she says. Her words may sound sarcastic at names, but it is never so.

With that, Vienna nodded towards her companions, now down to two, and began rushing through the shadows out of the dorm, Scythe held firmly in both hands, searching for more Hirudos. Her classmates followed suit, staying silent. As the uneasy feeling in the air, which indicates a concentration of soul essence, grew, they were now off campus and approaching the city. Pausing whilst crouched in a particular patch of shadows in the city, Vienna glanced about for signs of Hirudo or other hunters. She very clearly heard one of the Hirudos before she finally saw it though, in the distance. Rushing from shadow to shadow towards the creature, her classmates following suit, she realized it was massive and elephant like. Her ears where still ringing from the creature's roar... any closer and her hearing could've been damaged permanently. She caught a glimpse of another woman with a rifle, aiming then firing at the beast. Vienna recognized her: another top-graduate hunter, an assassin if she recalled. She didn't remember much else about the girl, not even her name. The Assassin's attack did not seem to do much to the beast, and it nearly seemed to crush her just then. Taking a deep breath, centering herself, Vienna continued teleporting towards the beast, her comrades teleporting to shadows on either side of it to flank the colossal beast. She ended up teleported to the shadow cast by the newly-crushed car, near the other girl, but not paying further attention to her as she turned to stoically face the beast, summoning her shadow clones and holding her scythe in combat stance, looking for an opening of any kind, glancing to see when her allies move in.

[border]Kehinde Akachi
Location: Southside Council City

[/border]

[border]

Kehinde was now hopping from building to building. He looked over and saw that the so-called ninja faction was utilizing formations. "Show offs." He mumbled. From his pocket, he felt his phone vibrate. He had two phones of course. One for the faction and another for his personal. The phone from the council was ringing, so he reached down, picked it up then answered it, "Hello," "Kehinde it's Ferrin, where are you? Are you seeing these Hirudo?" She replied. "Yes, I'm on the southside of Council City. What about you and the others?" The phone dropped the call giving Kehinde a slight chill, "Oh no...." He thought. He quickly began redialing the number but it was giving off a busy signal. Kehinde stopped in his tracks to look around. He could not figure out where to go in order to assist his teammates.

Suddenly, a few people appeared behind him. It was Emanuel, Ferdinand and Selina. They looked like they were just arriving on the scene in order to help out. "You rang?" Emanuel commented, flipping his hair. Kehinde wanted to strangle him, but there was no time. He greeted them and quickly got down to business. "Ok, I don't know what's going on here, but we need a plan." Kehinde remarked, walking toward the group. "I agree. It seems like out of know where the showed up. What's the deal?" Selina chimed in. "Doesn't matter, I know I'm ready to be done with this and back in my bed." Ferdinand declared, rolling his eyes. Kehinde took a look toward the city to see if he could muster up a good plan. He got to looking at the building tops measuring the distance between each of them. "Hey, do you guys remember that thing we did in the academy?" Kehinde continued, still looking off. "How could I forget Speaker Yao had us doing it over and over." Ferdinand responded. Kehinde nodded a little and returned his focus back to them, "Let's try that." Everyone in the group agreed. "So what's the plan." Selina asked. Kehinde looked back at the building tops, "See those buildings," He pointed. "Were gonna handle these things from both sides." Selina tilted her head in confusion, "Okaaaaay?" Kehinde sighed then continued, "Speaker Yao always went on about attacking the enemy by surprise. He also taught us that a surprised enemy is a weaker one no matter how strong. If they don't know which direction were hitting them from then we will catch them off guard." Selina nodded as if she were starting to get it. Ferdinand insisted, "Get on with it chatty katty, We don't have all day" Kehinde side eyed him but left it alone. "Alright, Selina and I will take to the ground grabbing the attention of some of the Hirudos," He then began to point at the other two guys, "Whilst you and Ferdinand take to the rooftops, follow us, and pick off any hirudos that take us on. Anything we can't see you get em." Ferdinand smiled, "Finally some action. I guess you don't have a brain the size of a pea." He joked. Those words almost made Kehinde send his blade through his face. Every time they got together Ferdinand always had something slick to say. Kehinde confirmed the details with everyone and then they vanished off to their positions.

Kehinde vanished to the ground to start on his way. He started running through the back alleyways and ended up on the street. People were running in all sorts of directions almost knocking him down. The scene was unbelievable almost like it wasn't real. All of a sudden rising up behind him was a Hirudo, Kehinde's back was turned and since he was focused on dodging the people he didn't even sense the thing behind him. From the rooftops, Kehinde heard a yell, "Behind you!" Kehinde spun on the back of his heel almost a second too late. The Hirudo swung and just missed Kehinde by a hair. Kehinde did a backflip to create distance between them. No sooner did he do that he dissipated in thin air. "Come on Kehinde," Ferdinand yelled out, "Got to be more aware of your surroundings. Should have seen your face though almost looked like you peed yourself haha." Kehinde rolled his eyes and got back up ignoring him, but was thankful he was there when he was. Kehinde continued on through the crowd of people rushing toward him.

As he was passing by, he saw a woman eye him and from what he could tell she was a pirate. He payed her no attention and kept on moving to avoid any problems. He didn't get very far when he heard someone faintly call out, "Hey wait up!" "Really Ferdinand can't keep up can you..." Kehinde thought turning around to only to be met with a woman holding a pistol, Kehinde quickly drew his weapon to show he meant business. "If you plan on using that thing on me then I'd suggest you go ahead and do it," He implied, squinting his eyes and gripping his weapon. "State your business or leave I don't want any trouble." Kehinde wasn't sure why a pirate was following him. Could she be plotting to kill him? Maybe try and rob him. All these thoughts went through his head as he looked past her to find Ferdinand. Lucky for him, Ferdinand was already ready with his finger on the trigger waiting for any sudden movements from this woman. "I don't have time for this!" He thought to himself.[/border]

Danielle stopped as soon as the one she was following stopped although she did tense a little when he drew his weapon. How rude she thought as she caught her breath. "Man you run fast. I just wanted to ask you a question, don't get you pantaloons all inflated." She stopped and turned around shooting a single bullet and dissipating a Hirudo 25 yards away. "I just wanted to ask if you know what's goin on 'ere and if I wanted to use this gun you'd be shot already." She looks at him and his friend and thinks They look like Scouts, especially by their physical capabilities. "Your a scout so I'm just wonderin' if we can do some quid pro quo if you catch my drift." Danielle puts her gun in its holster and holds her hands up showing no intent to fight. "Have you seen any of Pirate Faction or know why their are so many Hirudo condensed in this area? In exchange I can offer you my services as it is our job to rid of these monstrosities" she slyly said. "I'd hate to be caught all alone too, the Hirudo I've been encounterin' are of likes I've haven't seen in a while." She sighs and looks up noticing the sun is higher. "Pardon me" Danielle says as she reaches into a pocket and pulls out a flask. She pops the lid open and drinks a few gulps finishing with a small aah. "It's gettin hot and I reckoned I was going to need a drink." I hope he isn't as rude as he seems, I would really hate to be out powered and outnumbered by these accursed things. she thought putting a slight scowl on her face with the thought. And I'd hoped today was going to be easy

A flare goes up in the parks direction and explodes black. Danielle turned away from them to see it and cursed really loudly. "Man those idiots should've gone straight for the city and now they're literally stuck in the woods." She rubs her head and faces back to the Scouts.Guess I can't pull anything on them now. Got no back up she thought in the back of her head. "Yea, you wouldn't only have my services but my gratitude too ya know?" she said agitated by the fact her own faction can't reinforce her. Danielle's face reddened as she talked, she didn't like going with others like this cause it made her feel weak but she definitely didn't want to be alone. She doesnt know the situation and it's usually better to stay in a group.

Hearing another roar,Kimirou shifted his weight. This caused the iceboard to turn and hover across the street. Putting his hands into his pocket, he entered an alleyway. At the end of the alley he could see a rather large, elephant looking, shadowy hirudo. He began to make his board ascend. As he did he pulled a die out of his pocket and shot it at the ground beneath the beast. It extended and fused with the ground, causing the hirudo to begin to loose its balance. He shot out of the other side of the alley and into the sky. He examined the area beneath him.

There stood triplets all holding scythes. Kimirou reached out his right palm towards the hirudo. He began to whisper to himself. "Thrive in the darkness." Kimirou's eyes began to glisten as if they were encasing themselves in ice. "Grind the gears of hell." Ice began to gathering around his neatly spread fingers. "Stricken thy enemy." This ice shaped itself into five dragons, one on each finger. "Under venom's spell." He then bent his fingures towards the beast like a claw. "Konservi Mu: To mavro fidi." The heads all shot towards the beast, being followed by ice chains. The chains wrapped around the legs and neck of the hirudo. The dragon heads sank their fangs into the hirudo and it let our another roar.

The board began to melt from the center dropping Kimirou right next to a girl with a rifle. He yanked his hand that the ice chains were still attached to. This caused the hirudo to finally fall on the ice beneath it. He shouted to the girls. "All your's girls." Then he streached his free hand towards the girl with the rifle to help her up. "Hurry you dont want to miss the action." He smiled towards the girl.

The girl dressed in a mostly leather outfit given to her as a member of the Theives Faction, looked at Venom with a bit of an exhausted expression. "He's not my responsibility, he just my brother." The waitress came over and refilled all of their coffee cups as Viper sat up and looked from Venom to Widow. As Venom took a sip of his coffee he felt something amiss, he began to pick up on a sensation that was growing bigger and bigger. He looked to the other two and noticed they too were also feeling the sensation and they were looking to Venom. He rolled his eyes and watched as his breakfast was just about to be brought to him. But when the waitress looked back at the table the three at the table were already gone.

A huge spike in energy levels sent the trio into the streets of the city searching for anything that seemed out of the ordinary. Venom looked to the other two and smiled
"Alright you two, you know the drill. Lets end these things quickly so we can get back to breakfast. Triangle position until we spot the Hirudos." With that command Viper and Widow placed their shoulders to one another and then the other shoulder to Venom's. The tree had all areas of the city covered with a watchful gaze as people shuffled past them with unusual expressions. The three seemed to not even notice the others around, and the slightest flicker of movement sent their head spinning in the direction it came from. Suddenly something moved on one of the buildings and Widows head shot towards it. "There on the rough top." She pointed as a black mass loomed over the edge of the building, its hollow eyes fixated on the trio.

They were on the move in a heart beat, heading for an alleyway that was adjacent to the building. As they made their way into the alley, each of them produced their weapon's; Viper a long chain with a claw like grapple in the shape of a snakes head on the end; Widow a pair of Sai that s blades and handles looked like spiders legs; and with a flick of the wrist Venom's wrist mounted daggers shot out from their home and were poised in each hand. As they looked over the alley way they found a fire escape, which Viper quickly pulled down with his chain and the trio began to make their way to the roof. Once there they were able to get a better look at the Hirudos, a black blob of what looked like bad static from a television set that had several pairs of arms and legs. The giant form turned to the group and bellowed at them with a terrifying roar that didn't stir them a bit. Venom looked to Viper and Widow and smiled
"Alight you guys, just like in practice. Widow distract the ugly bastard while Viper contains and I eliminate."

With their orders given Widow darted forward first and began to dart back and forth towards the beast. He speed was something to behold, and the smashing fists of the Hirudo would never catch her in a million years. Its hollows eyes began to get angry with the zippy movements of the girl and as Widow went around the creature, It turned smashing through antenna and AC units alike trying to catch her. Venom looked to Viper and nodded and he was off. Twirling his chain around and around he launched it at the Hirudo's side and impeded the fangs of the snake head into its static form. He gripped the chain tight and slid under the creatures under side and began wrapping the beast up with his chains, one by one pinning an arm or a leg. Finally after a few moments of this, Venom smiled and watched as Widow made her way to the top of a water tower and lept at the beast. Venom was already on the move, his dagger twirling behind him like pinwheels as he ran. He jumped to the roof, to a AC unit, and then towards the Hirudo, where he buried his daggers deep into the creatures would be head. With a shriek the creature struggled against the attack and then suddenly evaporated into thin air. The chains around is fell to the ground with a choirs of chimes, as did Widow who looked a bit pissed that Venom had acted so. She looked at Venom with squinted eyes "You stole my kill." Venom chuckled as his daggers disappeared into his sleeves. He walked over to Widow and placed a gloved finger under her chin and looked at her with a devilish smile "We're thieves my dear, its what we do." Widow whipped her chin away and walked over to the edge of the building, and turned back to the others. "Come on, we've got more work to do." The sound of Hirudo in the distance getting louder and louder.

Miria, Sora, Kou, and Shu was traveling by jumping from building to building taking out Hirudos that had been unlucky enough to cross their path. The team of Ninja passed by an area that was being handled by a a team of Scouts. "Hey look there's a pirate down there too." Shu said pointing at Danielle. Kou and Sora both looked back at the strange sight. Kou commented "Even from here I can see them goods if you know what I mean Sora." Sora replied "You can drool over her later." Then Miria gave the signal for them to halt. The team stopped not too far up the street from the Scouts. It looked a like a large group of hirudos were on a slow march. Miria commanded "Current objective is to halt and destroy this herd of hirudos. We'll pressed them on all four sides in Dice and Divide Formation.

Sora hopped down to the street in front of the horde since he is the southern part of the formation which now centers on this horde in a diamond. Sora covered his skin in layer of hardened black armor as well as grew long tenatcle like blades from his shoulders that began emitted a saw like noise from vibrating at fast speeds. Sora also drew his wakazashi for this one as well. He charged forward using his katana and wakazashi to defeat the foes directly in front of him while his blades swept side to side protecting Sora's flanks, Sora moved smoothly and quickly over the ground to prevent the hirudos as his rear from catching him.

When he reached the center of the horde he found the others of his squad had arrived too. Shu from the east, Kou from the west, and Miria from the north. The had cut paths into the formation which was the divide part of the plan. Now was the slice. Each of ninja lined up with one remaining quarter of the horde and set upon that quarter. This is too confused as well as take out the horde as fast as possible but it's a horde so progress was slow now that the ninja were engaged in heavy mob combat.

Suddenly, Leandra saw others appearing around her from the shadows. Gritting her teeth in annoyance at Shadows thinking that they had to aid her in killing this Hirudo, Leandra opened her mouth to say something to them, but was interrupted when ice suddenly appeared beneath the Hirudo before the group and the next thing Leandra knew, a guy was at her side and the Hirudo had been brought to its knees, more or less. Eyeing the scene before her, Leandra quickly realized that two different factions were with her and she did not like this one bit.

First things first though, Leandra swiftly aimed a punch at the side of the guy's face without moving to face the guy, who had just spoken confidently beside her. Leandra wasn't a lady and she certainly wasn't about to follow anyone's orders. Especially not a Gambler's. She also was most certainly not about to work alongside either of these parties. Glad that her hood still mostly covered her face and hid her highly irritated facial expression, Leandra then muttered under her breath, "I don't need anyone's help. Bugger off, will you?"

This said, Leandra then swiftly brought up her sniper rifle to take aim once more and with an echoing and concussive sound that would make anyone's ears nearby ring, Leandra fired off a single round into the Hirudo's head, causing it to dissipate before all of them. Pressing the button from before, Leandra's sniper rifle soon was compressed back into its pistol form and she holstered it before retrieving a flask of alcohol from her uniform and taking a swig of it. Her expression was neutral now and she calmly turned away from the Gambler and Shadows, as she began walking away from the scene, hopefully before anyone would try to confront her again. She didn't want to work with anyone. She could handle herself and was a lone wolf by nature. The more people around her, the more uncomfortable she became.

Vienna looked up to see a man on a hoverboard made of ice, muttering an incantation. The ground became ice, and at this she recognized him as one of the gambler graduates. Once the chains were cast, she began to move in along with her allies. She was momentarily distracted by the Assassin girl's outburst. Vienna honestly looked very confused and annoyed at the girl's upset demeanor. "Whether you need our help or not, this Hirudo is powerful. The more of us help, the less damage it can cause." Spoken in deadpan, glancing towards the man the assassin just punched for seemingly no reason then shaking her head, she refocuses on the beast, dashing towards it and slashing it rather deeply with her Scythe, although her attack perhaps was unnecessary as a bullet from the assassin's rilfe ended its life mid-strike.. Oh well, she helped ensure a Hirudo's death in some way. The girl simply began to storm off as the gambled also went his own way.

Vienna did not understand the way assassins operate... you always work alone, you have no one to back you up. Vienna isn't much for conversation most of the time, and isn't exactly happy about having to work with the other factions, but she certainly is not insulted every time someone comes to her aid, even when facing a monster many times her own size. I don't think i'll ever understand assassins... Vienna shook these thoughts from her head, and ordered her men to move out, following her to the next hirudo essence she felt... there were too damn many. What the hell caused this outbreak? I doubt it was deliberate... by anyone associated with hunters, or not downright evil anyway.

Vienna's group ported through the streets for some time, until coming upon a group of nearly humanoid Hirudos, who immediately dashed towards them. Vienna, thinking quickly, held out her hand towards a nearby patch of shadows then swept said hand towards the enemies, causing pitch-black sharp objects to shoot towards the Hirudo as if the shadows were a brittle, solid object. Her comrades used this distraction to try and flank them, as the rather large group of Hirudos were bombarded. Where the hell are the other Shadows at a time like this? We're spread too thin dammit... the three of us can;t keep this up much longer... Alright, if one more us is injured, we're retreating. It's cowardly, but there are few more foolish tactics then fighting to the death so damn outnumbered. Just then, as if she jinxed herself, one of the Hirudos was able to disarmed one of the boys, now rather exhausted from the fighting, and slam him rather effortlessly to the ground, hitting his head and knocking him unconscious. The other boy was able to knock it out, but Vienna still felt that they should not have gone so far into the thick of the horde on thier own. "Dammit... Vince, grab Jason. We need to find others if we can keep fighting without a third injury..." The boy called Vince nodded, sighing, seeming rather irritated but knowing that his pride was second to his own life.Vienna began leading thier relocation to a more strategically sound position to fight from.

The impact of the fist against his face caused the ice in his eyes to crack. After the beast dissipated he looked back at ther girl and angrily scoweld with a roar, "Bitch" echoed from his mouth. He then used kinsi to vanish and appear in front of her. "Let me tell you something. That is no way to treat anyone. I know we are in different factions. I mean obviously you are an assassin. However we have a mutual interest. That is to protect the everyone in the world from the demon of the dark." He then turned his head towards the shadows. "No offense" left his lips. He then turned back to the girl. He then attempted to use his faction ability of distact to distract her while he iced the ground below the girls feet. Once that was done he slightly pushed the girl.

"This is for punching me." he stated as he pushed her. Under normal circumstances a person being pushed while standing on ice would fall but Kimirou didn't stick around. After pushing the girl he used kinsi to basically teleport to the roof of a near by building and the free ran from building to building. "Where are the others? Probably looking for a casino or playing cards. I mean since the heard tha graduation week was a vacation, a hirudo biting on their neck would even make them stand. Let alone actually do their job as hunter." He talked to himself while free running.

Kehinde looked the woman up and down as she spoke. He was no way going to trust her because she was from another faction. After hearing her state her reasoning, started to lower his guard just for a few moments. "Oh? Shot already huh?," He rubbed his chin with his weapon, "That's too bad because I'd kill you first before you even had the chance." He responded. The woman then showed off her accuracy by shooting a Hirudo that just so happened to be 25 yards away. He was taken aback because she was more accurate than Ferdinand and Ferdinand was one of the top three in accuracy. "I'm not sure. Only thing I remember is waking up and having to deal with issue. I just want to relax you know?" He chuckled. The woman then holstered he pistol which in turn caused Kehinde to put away his weapon. He still kept it close just in case she tried anything. "We don't know where your faction is pirate. How about you go look for them." Ferdinand interjected rudely.

Kehinde looked out the corner of his eye at him, but strangely felt no reason to be mad at what he said to her. She was a Pirate so what did she want with them? "Let's just hear her out Ferdinand. No need to be so hasty." He replied, reasoning with him. Ferdinand let out a sarcastic chuckle, "Really? So your brain is the actual size of a...." Kehinde drove his fist right into Ferdinand's jaw right before he could finish his sentence. He was so over Ferdinand's comments and was not in the mood to hear anymore. "Oh, looks like I have a tick. Might want to watch out next time." He bent down and commented. Kehinde got back up and looked back at the Pirate and spoke, "Gratitude huh? Why should we assist you. For all I know it could be a trap of some sort." He squinted raising his eyebrow.

Out the corner of his eye, he noticed some of the ninja passing by pointing at the Pirate. Kehinde let out a small chuckle as he looked back at the woman, "You know them?" He asked. He returned his focus back to them shifting his body in a way his back wasn't turned to the Pirate. He saw the Ninja create a formation. "Hmm...the Dice and Divide." He thought to himself as he watched them perform. Ferdinand rose back to his feet adjusting his jaw, "Ok, Kehinde I'll get your sorry ass back." He remarked looking in the same direction as Kehinde. "We ought to walk over and introduce ourselves since we're all kumbayah." Ferdinand added rolling his eyes. All of a sudden the strangest thing began to occur. A more concentrated and violent soul essence cause Kehinde's heart to skip a beat. An inhumane roar followed causing nearby Hirudos to flee. "That's odd. They are running." He thought to himself. He then called out to the Ninja faction members, "You guys felt that too?" He yelled, watching the scene unfold. His heart skipped a beat again causing him to fall on one knee. "What the hell is going on?" He mumbled, grabbing his chest and coughing. The soul essence was like that of one of the Higher ups hunters, but more extreme. A vibration in the ground was felt as he kneeled. Kehinde's eyes grew and a chill ran down his spine as he felt the vibration. "What now?" He thought to himself.[/border]

Danielle pointed behind her in the direction of the park. "Really? You must underestimate yourselves if you think a lone pirate can trap two scouts." She said with a slight annoyance. Although I could she said in her mind. Danielle looked up at the ninjas and noticed one was staring at her as they descended on the horde of Hirudos. Well nice to know Ninjas appreciate my beauty. Danielle suddenly stopped thinking when she heard the roar. She flinched at the loudness of it and clamped up under the soul essence, What in the seven sea's was that? she thought nervously. "Hey Kehinde, that your name? I think it best you get up! Danielle looked towards the ninjas as they managed the crowd. Hmm more people, more confusion too. She walked over to Kehinde and pulled him up unto his feet. "Toughen up and deal with it! We're going to have company soon and if that thing is this nasty far away we better have a move on and like it or not, I'm sticking with you." She takes a swig from her flask again before putting it back in her coat pocket. "Oi ninja's, I know you might not like us and all but wanna stick together? Scouts and Ninjas are fast and coordinated. If that thing shows up we'd be better off together!" She looks back at the scouts. "Some more allies in case things get hairy. I don't like em either but I wouldn't wanna be caught under powered if that Hirudo shows up."

Danielle takes out her twin pistols when she saw movement from the greenery. 2 other Pirates show up, one tall the other smaller and a little chubby. Danielle lowers her guns and leans over exasperated. "Now you guys show up! What were you thinking going through the woods when I signaled I was going towards town?
" "Sorry!" the chubby one said. "We thought you were stuck there and just misfired the flare." said the tall one. Danielle puts her fist to her head again and sighs. "I'm a gunslinger and you think I misfired!?" she said normally and building up to a yell. "Nevermind that! We're sticking with these Scouts as I'm sure you two dunderheads aren't that dense to know there is a powerful Hirudo somewhere." The two new pirates look at eachother and back at Danielle. "You sure?!" they said simultaneously. "Did I stutter?! You two are gettin on my nerves. If they despised me I'd be injured or dead right now. Now act nice and cooperate with the nice Scouts or I'll keelhaul you both!" Danielle looked back at Kehinde. "Let's get a move on, those ninja can join us when we're retreating. If my friends here give you any trouble tell me, I'll knock em straight if they do." she said in a surprisingly nice tone.

Sora's focus became killing all those in his path after a while of combatinf his section of the horde. He felt pieces of his dermal armor get scraped off and saw dissipating shadows all around him, he heard the sounds of his tentacle blades whizzing through the air and hirudos. Then suddenly a great roar rang through the area and suddenly all the hirudos upped and vanished. As he tried to come back to his senses he heard a muffled speaking but made it out. Miria said "Kou what do you read on this one?" Sora turned a looked at Kou who pressed two fingers to the side of his head "It's huge and powerful, this soul essence reading is not something I have seen before maybe more experienced hunters has seen the likes of something like this." Miria raised an eyebrow and said "We should fall back and link up with the scouts. Shu try to reach the other teams and inform them of the situation."

Sora's senses went back to normal as he heard someone ask if they felt the presence of that huge signature. "Yeah we did." Sora answered. The ninjas used kinsi to speed over to the scout Kehinde as he seemed a little more affected by this than any of the others. Kou couldn't help but steal a look at Danielle but Miria quickly ordered "Kou focus, control your hormones!" Kou instantly turned around as if on impulse. Sora wondered what monstrosity could be coming this way. Wait these are some tall buildings, maybe I can rig them to come down on the monster should it come this way. Something to keep in mind, I could use a the konsido chains and attach them to the main supports so that if tugged they'd rip out the supports bringing the buildings down on the one who walked into the trap. But in this case it'll be set for a giant hirudo.

The three thieves hopped from roof top to roof top taking out as many of Hirudo's they could. They had pin pointed a very large signature and all three agreed that it was definitely worth looking into. As they made their way, the Hirudo's seemed to be growing in numbers. This made Venom very curious, as if they were being drawn to something in the city. Possibly the huge energy they had felt at the dinner? Or was it something else that they had yet to pick up on. He did not have long to figure it out as he noticed Widow stop on the edge of a roof top and look down.

"Hey Venom, Viper, check out the ninjas down there." The two men stopped and made their way over to the edge next to widow. Sure enough, amongst a sizable horde of Hirudo where several Ninja all battling their hearts out. Venom crouched down and watched as one of the Ninja's tentacle blades zipped around slicing through Hirudo's with ease. Venom could feel the excitement of the battle beginning to grow, which dulled his sense's to the threat that was charging at them from the other side of the building. A small group of the horde of Hirudo's had scaled the building behind the trio and were rushing them.

Widow and and Viper were paying attention and turned to see the Hirudo in time, Venom however was to intrigued with the Ninja.
"Venom!" The cry broke through his concentration and he spun around, blades out and ready. But the Hirudo where upon him in a heart beat, crashing into him and throwing him from the edge along with themselves. Venom merely smiled as he felt the mass of Hirudo's merge on him and they began to fall towards the Ninja below. As they fell, several of the Hirudos began to shriek in pain as long black blades shot out of their bodies and they vanished in to smoke. Venom's long dagger like fingers pierced through several of the Hirudo's except those on his back, which he used to cushion the blow as he and the beasts hit the ground and separated. Venom was on his feet and darting towards several of the Hirudo's that had fallen with him, his dagger like finger trailing behind him. His animal instincts had taken over, now it was not so much strategy as it was the pure instinct to kill this things, and Venom planned on killing as many of them as possible.

Widow and Viper watched as Venom went over the side and they followed suit, now amongst the horde that the Ninja had been fighting, the two of them kept an eye on them should they decide to turn their attention from the Hirudo's to them. It was then that they noticed the Scouts and Pirates that Widow had failed to notice on the roof top.
"Keep close to Venom, we are severely outnumbered here." Widow spoke to Viper as they made their way to where Venom was viciously slaughtering Hirudo's. She knew the factions had their problems, and this could end badly should someone make a wrong move.

Upon hearing the Gambler beginning to lecture her, Leandra toned him out and shifted her focus to the Shadow, as she swiped at the Hirudo with her scythe, despite it already being dead. Smirking at this, Leandra then said sarcastically to her, "Nice kill, Shadow." Taking a more serious tone now, Leandra then added, "Also, I work alone and succeed alone. I need no one else." Yet, just as those words left her, she could hear the annoying Gambler's voice still speaking to her and she turned to face him when she suddenly felt something slippery under her. Glancing down, Leandra scowled at the sight of the ice.

Yet, the world around her suddenly slowed down and Leandra quickly shifted her gaze to the side in time to see the Gambler appear before her. Seeing his hands moving up to push her, Leandra quickly dodged to the side, inwardly cursing as she slipped on the ice and ended up flailing like an idiot though she somehow managed to retain her balance before she skidded off of the ice patch. Lookig for the Gambler so she could punch him again and mayne even kick him in the groin, Leandra saw that he was already gone and moving on. As was the Shadows as well, since Leandra couldn't find any of them anymore.

Sighing, Leandra took out her flask yet again and took several swigs before frowning at the fact that it was now empty. At least she'd packed some extras. Putting the empty flask away in her uniform, Leandra then began calmly walking down the sidewalk of the street, her neutral expression having returned while she actively swiveled her head from side to side in an attempt to find the Hirudo. She could feel their presence all around her, but they seemed to be hiding just out of eyesight.
