Name: Xzevran Necrus

Age: Unknown

Appearance: View attachment 17181

Personality: In order to better conceal his identity as a vampire, Xzevran acts antisocial and will not come into contact with someone unless necessary. He is very straightforward and bland when speaking. Although he is a vampire, Xzevran's thirst for blood is almost nonexistent, never aquiring a taste for it and only feeding when needed. His calmness in almost any situation, can tend to make people very frustrated. He doesn't remember much about his life before becoming a vampire. So he is a little dense when it comes to understanding humans. He is often annoyed about other beings teasing him about his appearance. Since he doesn't consume much blood, he doesn't appear very vampiric and his appearance hasn't grown from beyond how a teenager would look. He can get annoyed when his appearance is brought up, especially when told that he resembles a female. He doesn't back down when he's made up his mind, making it very hard to convince him of anything beyond what he's decided. Although he is aloof and seems uncaring, Xzevran is actually very kind.

History: Xzevran knows nothing about his life before being a vampire.

Name: Katherine Deverell

Age: 20

Appearance:

tumblr_mgla59WKID1s3qu3co1_500.jpg

Personality: Despite looking weak and helpless just like any other heiress, Katherine is actually a tough and stubborn girl. She is strong-willed, intelligent, and independent, opting to get things done in her own way instead of depending on others… when the mood strikes her. She mostly loves to manipulate people to do her bidding though. She's also blunt, sarcastic and a tad bit rude to boot. Because of her heritage, she can be bossy and overbearing especially when she wanted to get certain things done. She can get irrational about the things that she wants and tends to become a spoiled brat just to get what she wants.

Besides being selfish most of the times, Katherine can also be very caring and loyal. She is friendly—even though mostly for show and not the type of person who would pick a fight with others. She is a rational thinker and therefore would make decisions that would be most appropriate for the current situation. Though she may be haughty because of the differences in social standings, she will make it a point to be respectful to anyone she thinks truly deserves it.

History: Katherine is the heiress of the well-known Deverell enterprises. Being the sole daughter of Charles and Katerina Deverell, she grew up in an environment full of wealth and abundance. As a child, she had been trained in different high-society activities: flower arrangement, tea-making ceremonies, dances, and even playing some musical instruments. She is currently studying college in a prestigious university along with her vampire slave.

((Will edit this more, once I'm coherent enough))

The morning sun shined brightly over the Deverell household. Beautiful birds sang their songs and the colorful flowers were blooming in the garden. It could probably described as the perfect day. However, this was just the outside of the large household. The inside is where the true beauty lies. The interior was filled with golden fixtures, going along well with the red carpeting. The walls were a creamy white and seemed to radiate a calming aura. However, one room in the house was especially beautiful. The room was quite large and was very regal in appearance. Beautiful paintings hung on the walls, which appeared to be very expensive. Lavender curtains covered two windows with magnificent views of the courtyard. In the midst of all this, a king sized bed covered by red silk sheets was located in the middle of the room. Within this bed was a beautiful girl. Her hair a light pinkish color, covering her soft features as he slept. At her bedside was a boy who appeared to be in his teens. He wore a plain white long-sleeved shirt, accompanied by a black vest accented with golden buttons. The solid black dress shoes matched the black pants perfectly, a small silver chain attached at the waist. He expertly poured tea into a small cup, white hair fraying his feminine features as he did so. He removed the golden pocket watch from his vest pocket. A new day had begun.

"Madam Deverell. Madam Deverell, its morning." He shook her body lightly as he attempted to wake her, but to no avail. The girl was fast asleep and didn't appear to be waking up any time soon. He gave a small sigh as he reached into the nearby closet and withdrew a small bucket. "Madam Deverell, please wake up. You'll be late for school." He received no response, except for her mumbling in her sleep. He then tossed the contents of the bucket at the girl, soaking her in water. "Get up Karherine." He was pleased to see that she had finally woken up. However, she did not seemed pleased at all.

Katherine was having the most wonderful dream of all. She was in space, seated in a throne made out of sparkling blue and pink diamonds and the softest satin, watching as all of her minions bowed down before her. Everything around her glittered encrusted in jewels of magnifying degree. On the left were two of her female subjects, fanning her diligently despite the rather cold temperature of the place and to the right an orchestra rivaling that of the national performers in numbers were situated on the side. They were continuously playing melodious sounds from their golden instruments. Sounds that were comforting and lulling her into further slumber.

She smirked, looking at each and every one of them from atop her throne. The best part of these though, was what is at the center. "Xzevran", she haughtily called, in tone that speaks nothing but royalty. In the middle of the thousand kneeling throng was her faithful slave. Her most loyal servant kneeled in the most submissive form she had ever seen him do while he patiently awaited for her every beck and call. Smirking while she looked at his meek appearance, she was about to utter a command when everything around her vanished in a huff as she suddenly felt wet.

“What?!” She shrieked, her voice ringing all throughout the third floor. Immediately rising up from the bed in alarm, she searched around for the cause of wetness. All traces of sleep were gone from her features as she continued to search. She looked down and noticed her disheveled state. Wet hair, nightdress and even a slightly damp bed; she growled irritated. Staring straight in the eyes of the culprit, she pointed an accusing finger towards him. “I’m going to kill you Xzevran!” She screamed. “Why the hell did you do this?” She stood up, gestured to her dress and stamped her foot down on the bed. Her small form quivering in anger. She brushed her hand through her pink locks trying to squeeze off the water as much as she can while glaring daggers to the said boy. “I told you, I can get up on my own! You can’t keep doing this every day, you bastard! Why don’t you go wander around the manor and find something else to entertain you?”

"Glad to see that you're awake, Madam Deverell. Your morning tea has been prepared." Xzevran kept a straight face and set the tea by her bed, like nothing had ever happened. "If I recall correctly, you were the one who had ordered me to wake you up early. I believe your exact words were. 'I don't care how you do it, just wake me up early. I will not be late for the first day.'. I attempted to wake you, but it seemed like you prefered dreaming about whatever wild fantasy you were having. If you're done with your rambling, I suggest you take a shower, you smell like a wet dog. You're uniform is on the nightstand. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to prepare breakfast." Xzevran retreated from the fuming heiress and proceeded towards the door. He turned his head towards her, before exiting the room. "The diamonds were a nice touch, by the way." He then shut the door, heading down to the kitchen. She really needed to stop mumbling in her sleep.

Xzevran had immediately got to work when he entered the kitchen. The scent of flour and fresh fruit filled the air. He loved the smell of human food. He definitely preferred it over blood from a victim. He began cooking at a fast pace, making sure everything was perfect and then setting the table in an elegant manner. Dozens of pastries lied atop silver platters, along with the finest fruits from the garden. A hot pot of Earl Grey sat in the middle of the table, practically begging to be drank. The meal was perfect to the last detail. Xzevran took another glance at his pocket watch. "It's been three minutes. I should have enough time to bathe and change clothes." He then proceeded to the downstairs bathroom, anticipating the feeling of warm water. Although he was a vampire, he enjoyed being properly groomed. It left him with a refreshing feeling. He shut the door behind him when he entered the bathroom and adjusted the water's temperature. Today seemed like it would be a good day.

Gritting her teeth, the pink-haired girl tried to control herself from following after Xzevran and teaching a lesson from the stunt he dared to pull. With the light blush still marring her delicate looking features, she almost stomped her foot down in a hissy fit. ‘Who gave him the right to treat her this way?’ She shouted in her mind and clenched her hands into fists. She felt the wetness of her dress sticking disgustedly in her skin and instinctively stared at the mirror in front of her bed. She fought the urge to tear off her hair in frustration when she saw the entirety of her appearance. ‘I look dreadful!’ The thought came easily and she shook her head distastefully. Damp strands of her hair were clinging on her face, and she looked like she ran in a marathon with her disheveled state. This isn't how she imagined waking up for her first day in the University! ‘One of these days, I’d die of humiliation because of him.’ She thought darkly. She’ll make that stupid vampire pay for this; her mental tirade continued while she made a futile attempt of brushing off the water from her nightgown.

She shook her head and climbed off the queen-sized bed. Noting the mess on her sheets, she rang the intercom on the wall and impatiently waited for a response. Soon after, someone answered and Katherine succinctly asked for a maid to clean her room. ‘Stupid Xzevran! He didn’t even bother to take responsibility in cleaning up the stupid mess he made.’ She cursed, casting a furious glare on the closed door. Deciding to let the matter go for now—knowing full well that he’ll just shrug her off; she decided to prepare for school.

When she entered her spacious bedroom, she opened the water and set the temperature. While waiting for the water to fill the tub, she couldn't help but recall the scene last night, a few minutes before she went to sleep. Katherine clearly remembered the threat she made when she reque—commanded the stupid vampire to wake her early today. Cheeks reddening in embarrassment, she felt her anger slowly dissipate when she remembered what she did last night. ‘Shit!’ She really did ask him to wake her up at all cost. She even threatened him if he ever failed to do so. She thought he was just making up another excuse to annoy her! Shaking her head, she tried to forget the issue and focus on preparing for school. She let the matter go, seeing that she wasn't the type of person to feel guilty for her actions.

After taking a languorous bath once she noticed that she still had enough time before the start of classes, she dressed up and went downstairs to eat breakfast. She’d kill Xzevran if he dared not to prepare her morning tea. Donned in the standard cobalt-blue colored uniform of her college, she brushed her pink-hair back and walked to the dining room. Her eyes brightened when she saw the food her servant had prepared and immediately took a seat. Not caring an inch about the vampire’s whereabouts, she took a small piece of bread and started eating without him.

Xzevran enjoyed the feeling of the warm water on his skin. Before becoming a servant, he had never felt the sensation of hot water. He grabbed the soap and washed his long hair. He considered cutting it, but he preferred having it long. He didn't know why, but he didn't like the idea of having short hair. He turned the water off and dried himself with the nearby towel. He definitely needed this right now. He didn't know why, but his senses were going crazy since last month and it had been stressing him out. No matter, he would deal with it when the time came.

He stepped out of the shower and looked at himself in the mirror. His appearance still baffled him. Looking as young as a teenage boy was understandable, the lack of blood consumption prevented him from looking older. However, his feminine appearance didn't make any sense. His face was small and soft, while his body looked petite and frail. It could be either from genetics or the lack of blood. He didn't know anything about his parents, so he would go with the latter. He really didn't care about his past. If he didn't remember it, there was a reason and he didn't want to tread on anything dangerous.

He brushed his teeth carefully and wiped his mouth. His fangs weren't visible if he didn't want them to be. At the current moment, his teeth looked perfectly normal. He dressed in his usual outdoor apparel after cleansing himself. He put on a pair of black shoes and matching black pants. He left his red dress shirt unbuttoned, it would become wrinkled if he buttoned it right now and he couldn't have that. Although he looked very frail, Xzevran was actually quite muscular, which he couldn't understand. He finished dressing and walked back towards the dining room. It was time to go face his fuming master.

He walked into the dining room with a yawn and sat down in the chair opposite from Katherine. He grabbed the newspaper and began flipping through it. He didn't understand anything about the human world, but it was interesting to see what was happening in the lives of humans. He took a look at Katherine and she didn't appear to be furious anymore. It really didn't matter to him though. He'd been dealing with her personality since he started his servitude and he had grown used to it. "Looks like you've finally calmed down." He flipped through another page, not even looking at the young heiress.

“Where have you been?” Katherine asked as a retort, not even bothering to take her eyes off her food. Her voice was calm, and if nothing else composed. It was as if all her earlier ire mysteriously vanished in that short period of time when he left her. She chewed delicately, savoring the freshness of the bread. There’s nothing else that is more enjoyable than eating her favorite food and tea so early in the morning. She downed the food with the tea and settled the cup gracefully on the table. Once she was done, she dabbed a napkin on the corner of her lips, lifting her head to look directly at her servant. She silently studied him while he flipped through the newspaper as if trivial human news mattered to him being a vampire and all that crap. “What are you still doing here? I want my things prepared”, she commented in a bratty voice. “Prepare the car too, I don’t want the limo.” Her brown-colored eyes stared straight at him. Quirking an eyebrow, she impatiently waited for him to respond. She gestured to the rooms above and wordlessly commanded him to prepare her bag and books for school.

She was still cross with him for the stunt he made just a few moments ago. Though she should have thanked him for not making her late, he still annoyed her. Why did he have to throw a bucket of water at her anyway? She had spent a considerable amount of time thinking for retaliation when she was taking a bath but she drew blank. She knew that she wasn’t the best prankster around and it wasn’t in her personality to do so. It would have been best if she let the issue die and extract revenge some other time but she couldn’t help herself. Her eyes narrowed into slits, unconsciously recalling how she spluttered like a wet dog when she was rudely woken up from a nice dream. If only she can do something to the stupid vampire, she thought in irritation.

She was out of her element today. Her nerves regarding attending university for the first time were slightly rattled. She was confident of her intelligence no doubt, and she knew that the school’s impeccable records would ensure a good educational experience for her. So really, she had no reason to be nervous. But still, her first days had never been… pleasant to say the least. Being a daughter of well-known business magnates, she wasn’t one to easily adapt to a new environment. Every time her classmates gets winds of her ‘pedigree’ they either tend to tread carefully around her, treating her as if she was a ticking time bomb or snob her all together immediately concluding her a selfish primma donna. Not that she wasn’t selfish, or a primma donna, or a snob, because she really was… it’s just that it can actually get very tiring if people labels you without preamble just because of your heritage. She shook her head off the depressing thoughts—it wasn’t like her to think pitifully before turning to see if Xzevran already did as she had asked.

Xzevran finished reading the last page of the newspaper and did as he was commanded. She seemed to be calmer now, but something told him that she wasn't over it. It was her fault for giving him the order. He was told to use any means to wake her up and he chose the easiest method. Water seemed to be a common way to wake someone up in human media and he decided to give it a try. He was surprised by how effective it was. He would have to use the method again sometime.

He made his way into the bedroom and grabbed her supplies. 'Why couldn't she have grabbed them herself?' She could have easily retrieved the items, yet she ordered him to do so. Humans were truly perculiar creatures. However, he supposed he was like a human himself in someways. The only real difference between him and a human was the supernatural abilities and immortality. This brought another thought to his mind, as he made his way back down the steps. 'Was I ever human?' It was a good question. Most vampires were born from a bloodline and few went under the transformation to become one. He didn't remember much about his life, so it could be possible. He put his thoughts on hold, as he made it to the first floor. 'Those thoughts are irrelevant at the moment. The past is over and I have to focus on the present.'

He grabbed the car keys and walked towards the dining table. Why couldn't she just take the limo? They had a driver, which made traveling a lot easier. The driver didn't drive the car, so that duty was left to him. He didn't think putting him behind the wheel was such a good idea. He was a good driver, but he would definitely recieve stares if he was the chauffeur. He paid no more attention to the notion, as he approached his master. "I've brought the items as requested." The heiress didn't appear to be listening. She looked like she was deep in thought. He called a few more times, before coming closer. He was currently a few inches away from her face and she still didn't seem to notice. Finally, she looked up and they locked eyes. "Hi." His expression remained the same and his voice was as flat as always.

She sighed when she found an expectedly empty chair in front of her. Tucking away stray locks of hair into her ear, she decided to find some form of distraction until he came back. Xzevran better bring everything she needed or else she’d never let him live. Not that he’d die anyway but she would do anything to make sure he’d be properly punished for his transgressions. Narrowing her eyes at nothing in particular, she ran a hand through her hair.

Her thoughts absentmindedly wandered about today’s class and she couldn’t help but cringe. What would happen? It was irritating as hell but she still can’t forget about this stupid nervousness that she felt. Sneaking a glance on the grandly embellished big clock put visibly in the middle of the dining room, she saw that they still had sufficient time before the start of school. A maid entered and she wordlessly gestured for her to clean the food on the table. “Good morning, Ms. Katherine”, Margaret, an old portly woman who had been with her family for almost a decade, greeted and despite her thoughts, the pink-haired girl smiled and murmured back a greeting of acknowledgment.

When Margaret was finished cleaning, she placed her elbows on top of the table and clasped her hands together. Leaning her chin on top of her hands, Katherine idly watched as the older woman left the dining room noiselessly, taking with her the cart of leftover food. Once alone, she couldn't help but think about the last time she rode a limo to school.

It was a few days before their graduation for senior high and being ordered by her father, she had no choice but to take the black limousine. Riding such kind of car wouldn't normally bother someone used to such luxuries like her, but what happened when she reached the senior high school was unnervingly… disturbing. She recalled the way her classmates looked at her both in mixture of disdain and envy when she alighted the car.

‘Such a show off…’

‘Look! The princess has finally come.’

‘Honestly, why can’t she see that we don’t want her here?’

Lowering her head, she placed her hands on top of her ears. She shut her eyes and tried to forget their side comments. Failing to block it off, she felt all her insecurities coming back. She vividly recalled them, talking in hushed voices, whispering as if she couldn’t hear them as they continue to ridicule her. She had honestly thought she had adapted well after being with them for almost three whole years but it looked that she was gravely mistaken. All those times she spent with them seemed like a dream and she seriously wondered if they really thought of her as their classmate. With her eyes still closed, she tried to drown off their accusing voices. She was shaken off her stupor when she felt someone closely breathing down in front of her.

Raising her head, she almost let out a curse when she found herself staring straight at her servant. “Gah! What the-! I swear, I think you really make it a personal mission to humiliate me, Xzevran!” She exclaimed, placing a hand over her heart in an attempt to calm her nerves. She moved back, creating a significant distance between them and suspiciously watched him. “Where’s my bag?” She added adamantly and finally stood up.

Xzevran watched his master with indifferent eyes. 'She scares easier than I thought.' He hadn't really seen anything wrong with the way he approached her. But then again, he wasn't very knowledgeable about humans and how they reacted to certain things. He only ever dealt with his own kind. 'I better make sure to keep my distance, lest I give her a heart attack.'

He watched as she made the gap between them. "I have your bag right here." He lifted his arm and showed her the bag hanging by its handle. "You didn't answer, so I was just making sure you were awake. You need to be more aware of your surroundings." He reached into his pocket and withdrew the key ring he had strapped to his belt. The key ring held dozens of dozens of keys, varying in shapes, colors, and sizes. He hardly ever used them, but they were good to keep around. He picked out a small silver key and removed it in the ring. "Are you ready for the first day? I'll be starting the car."

He walked over to the coatrack by the door and grabbed his usual black coat. He buttoned his shirt an threw on the black material. He walked out, twirling the keychain around his finger as he did so. He walked over to the car and started the engine. 'Now, how do you do this again.' He hadn't driven in a long time, so he was still a bit fuzzy on the workings. 'I guess I'll figure it out as I go.' He rolled up the windows and made sure the mirrors were adjusted. "Are you ready, Katherine?"

She frowned when she heard his comment. Snatching the bag away from his hands, she glared at him and haughtily turned her head away. “Shut up!” She muttered, blushing at the way she overreacted. She briefly opened her bag and made last one check. She prepared her things for school two days ago because she wanted to be certain that she had everything ready. Nodding in satisfaction when she saw that everything was in place, she shrugged indecisively at Xzevran’s question.

She followed him as he went out of the house, straightening the imaginary creases of her skirt while she walked. With Xzevran in the lead, the other servants respectfully greeted them as they leave. She gave each of them a nod of acknowledgement, slightly smiling and briefly looking at their beaming faces. She flinched in reflex when she heard one of the newer maids exclaimed: “have fun and meet new friends!” just before the main door closed.

‘Meet new friends? As if!’ She muttered sarcastically, rolling her eyes at the absurd notion. There was no way she’d meet a new friend at school. There really was no way she’ll find someone willing to look past her family name and actually dare to befriend her. The Deverell fortune is huge and is one of the successful figures in the business industry so her surname itself is famous beyond normal. The only thing that she actually looked forward to this day was the fact that she finally has a good reason to get out of the estate. She had been bored of her wits lately, especially because she wasn’t able to go on a holiday trip that her parents have promised her.

While following Xzevran out of the house, she quietly studied him. He looked young. Despite his formal attire and the fact that he’s probably decades older than her grandfather, he doesn’t look older than someone in their early twenties. She discreetly stared at his white-colored hair, his flawless skin, and even his mysterious eyes… there’s no doubt that her
slave is such an attractive male. He was so pleasing to the eyes that even she couldn’t keep track of all the girls who were vying for his attention. That same pleasing aspect couldn’t be said about his personality though. The obnoxious vampire can be too much for her to handle; he’s rude, stubborn and he seemed to have the talent of getting easily on her nerves. And because of this, whatever attraction, or anything near of sorts, that she felt for him when she first saw him, got crushed as easy as one breathes.

She shook her head off the ridiculous thoughts she’s having about her servant and took a seat on the back of the car. “Just drive the car and don’t butt your nose in my business”, she rudely retorted, glaring at him. She placed her bag on the side and waited for “Let’s just get this over with”, she mumbled quietly and stared at the window.
