Conspiracy Theories (OOC Chat) [Making Friends and Influencing People]

I'll just leave this here:

http://wiki.rpg.net/index.php/750_thing ... o_in_a_RPG

=> I can not order the Druid to transform and roll out.

=> When the GM forces the plot, I cannot make choo-choo noises.

=> Not allowed to attempt to kill the Hutt by pouring salt on him.

and, related:

http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?showtopic=27766

=> I am not allowed to take "Jimmy," the THOR operator*, as a loyalty 6 contact.

=> Not allowed to spend all 400 BP on 1 point skills

=> Not all Trolls eat goats. Whole. Dwarves do NOT sing "Hi-Ho!" at the start of ANY mission. Elves do NOT make cookies. Nor do they work for a Johnson named "Santa." Orks do NOT know some guy named 'Saruman' nor 'Sauron', despite their being a policlub with his name in it.

(Yes, I'm double posting. Make sure you read my post above.)

The last group you mentioned is better than the 2 pre-gen'd ones. Though really, that's probably something to consider once we're in a group. (SR party)

I'm open to ideas on that custom group. Also, initiation is the first thing I plan on doing once we're in game, so that's why I'm focusing on it now.

I'd probably approve the custom group, although I find it odd that a seekers of truth and pure magic would be shaman only not hermetics :) And no I haven't had a chance to look over and make a ruling yet Herbig on the upgrade costs. Finished up katies character with her over the weekend, she just needs to record the paper changes and pick some program levels.

Shawe's still trying to figure out her toon. I also know Kiyoshi will be out all next week. Do we just want to bring those 2 toons in later in the campaign.

Seems reasonable, I've got a little side run that doesn't need full group power and will get you guys introduced.

Just paste the results into your post, and make sure that you are rolling to a set character/campaign name that I'm aware of so I can check now and again.

It gets funnier when you realize neither of us are even using Binding. That's another <Charisma> worth of spirits we can each have :)

I forget - do you have to spend karma on binding? Or was it just time? Unfortunately since we'll be more than 5 km away, the spirit is on remote service and can only do the number of tasks we give it initially and it's gone.

You spend BP if you want to start with bound spirits, but once in game they don't cost karma - only time and nuyen.

That's why I didn't have any to start. Once we start getting money, I might have to raise an army. :Evil laugh:

Maybe I should have put more points into summoning instead of casting - we'll see.

It's not a shopping list per se, he's got a vendor lined up for the items, he just hasn't talked the guy into a price yet, you're going there to pick up the merchandise and to talk the guy down as much as possible.

Well, yes, I know I'm not going and selecting the items. Just figured if I could guestimate the value of the goods, I could use that to drive a bargain. You don't have actually tell me, that can just be lumped in the negotiation roll.

So, we have this OOC thread guys. If you want to have OOC stuff in the main thread you can also use the spoiler tag. That way we can keep the main thread clean, and if people don't want to meta by knowing what chance you actually have of pulling something off they don't have to. But general questions and stuffs are maybe better handled in the OOC thread?

Some roll and discussion here.

<roll>

Robin is trying to sneak past the guards by using traceless walk and her chameleon suit for a +x in bonus dice, etc.

This is when you ask to see the goods, shoot him, take the money and the goods, and report back that everything went well.

You know, I think it's good my character isn't ready yet.

With Sheidow's influence/negotiation dice? No, convince him that life isn't worth living so he shoots himself, take the money and the goods, and report back that everything went well.

I'm finally free this weekend, so I'm going to bust my ass on completing my character. Hopefully I'll have him in by Monday.

Yay!

I should have time tomorrow to get a post in so we can start exploring this place. Sorry for the delay.
