Hey, not sure if this has been addressed or not,  but what's going on with mobile posting. It's nearly impossible for those of us who use certain features like colored text. Many, many tools are missing. Are we just going to have to wait until the RPN app comes out? Or will something be done about this?

It's on our list of things to fix, even before the app comes out.

Okay so, I'm really confused on one of the posts in the Role-play Discussion & Advice tab?? So apparently when I click on the staff thread that can help me out... Al I see is: <>


It's like a bbcode and I can't read it.. Do I have to do something or is the staff just a bit whacked right now??

I'm assuming you mean the Thread Prefix Guide.  Like many other threads, the formatting got a bit borked during the update and we haven't had the chance to fix it yet.

The mobile version of the site shouldn't go anywhere.  Just like Facebook.  You can always download the app from the store if it's easier for you, but if not, then no pressure .

Click on your name next to the area where you get your notifications, click on Account Settings which should be listed in the bar that appears, and in the Overview tab in the left corner one option should say "Signature". Click on that.

We're looking for a new one, yes.  You might want to use some of the online dice rollers in the meantime.

You can change them to anything you want, but if you don't change them, it varies based on how many posts you have.

RPN was my favourite RP site because of the formatting, now the threads are all-in-one. It's just like every other forum based site: Confusing and difficult to navigate. I don't mind some of the changes, but all in all this feels like a major step backwards. Why would we want all of the character sheets/OOC/IC/overview etc. information all jumbled into the same place? This makes it really challenging to keep track of everything. I took a break in August when the semester started, but I've been lurking around the site for about a month now trying to relearn everything and I still have these complaints. 


I wish the site had continued down the path it was on rather than what it did, but why am I posting this here?


Well, mostly because I want to be wrong. If I am wrong: please someone help and correct me!

It had to change because the other software was not going to be supported any longer. It was either change now or change later, but either way it had to change. There was no way around it. I don't like everything either, but there was no way around things changing. Lots of updates are supposed to be coming, though. And things can only get better.

If you haven't already, you should read the survival guide.  That should hopefully help you understand the layout of the site more.

I never realized they were in separate places, I just knew that system made RPN stand out from other forum sites and was one of the main reasons I used it- it was soo much easier to navigate. That explanation makes a lot of sense though, and I really hope there is a replacement to be found! 


I also wasn't sure how to find the character and OOC pages. Most of the RPs that I had clicked onto had been all in one, so knowing that helps a lot. I may seem really behind the curve but navigating forums like these is VERY challenging for me for some absurd reason.

You're not the only one. Forums are very annoying for some just like a subject at school. It's always going to be a matter of preference.
