Coming out of my cage, and I've been doing just fine.

Hello friends!

I feel like I am truly coming out of my cage as it seems like it has been ages since I have roleplayed. I recently reconnected with an old roleplay buddy and have felt inspired to seek out other roleplays and partners as well! I would say it has been probably around 4+ years since I have consistently roleplayed with someone. Unfortunately life happened and I was out of it for a while. I may be rusty, but I'm eager.

I typically like to do one on one roleplays because I find it easier to focus on just one other roleplayer, but I'm open to doing some multi-person roleplays as well. I tend to do mostly original roleplays simply because I'm not really into a lot of fandoms, although I've recently binge-watched a lot of shows on Netflix and gotten to catch up on some for-pleasure reading. So, I'm not going to rule really anything right now as I come back into the scene.

I stumbled upon this site through a simple Google search which was more than I could have hoped for. Honestly, the last time I sought out new roleplays was way back when Neopets used to be popular. And heck, I even made an account and browsed through there only to find that pretty much everyone else fell off the face of the earth like I did. Or perhaps they have moved to more supportive, friendly, and easy to use sites such as this!

Anyway, I'm a very open person so if anyone wants to get to know me, I'm more than happy to chat in addition to roleplaying. Glad to be here and hope I can get back into the game!

Also forgive me for any blunders as I'm trying to get the hang of the forum platform.

Dat song reference do - I approve. Welcome to RPN, Tahts! I think you'll like it here - definitely come say hi to the regulars in the Shoutbox sometime!

Haha, glad you like! It just came to me and then of course I had to play it. That song never gets old. Thanks for the warm welcome and I'll certainly say hello!

I approve of the Killers reference!

Oh, but I'm new here, too, and I agree that RPNation is just really cool in general; I hope you find someone cool to roleplay with.

I'm always up for a chat, but as far as roleplaying goes, I think I have my hands full with what I've got so far. c:

GOOD LUCK!

It's amazing to learn about all the ways people have found their way to roleplaying. It is very much a relieving experience to know that, within our strict universe we may create our own personal world to behold and share with others. I'm glad you found this place and I'm sure you'll have a blast such as I! Welcome!

I'm glad people are enjoying the reference as much as I do, hahaha. Thank you all for the hospitality. I already feel at home here. :)

What I find most interesting is how much Roleplay has changed, from Dungeons & Dragons in the 70s to hundreds of different branches with dozens of leads on those branches. But I'm interested in what genres you enjoy?

I'm into some modern/realistic and some fantasy. I often like to start with a pairing and then kind of build a plot around that, either on my own or with my roleplay partner. Like I said, I usually don't do any fandoms and prefer to play original characters. I haven't really complied a list of genres since I've returned to roleplaying, but I will get more organized at some point, haha.

I'm into modern/realistic aswell, I really enjoy mixing fantasy and modern together aswell. I enjoy making my own characters, giving them like OOC roles like how to identify their standing in the RP, protagonist, antagonist etc. creating relationships and that.
