code removal fail

Okay, so I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to HTML. How do I get rid of

this code format?

I could REALLY use some assistance with this.

Thanks for your time.

I know a bit about HTML, but I'm not sure what you're asking...

Well, I'd like to edit my character thread for my Flight Of The Wyverns roleplay, but I found that I really don't like how the '<>' code thing works (or I just can't get the hang of it), and I was going to remove it, so I could redo my character bio templates, but I don't know how to get rid of it.

You could go to your posts, hit edit, click "<> source" and go through and delete all the coding, leaving what you still want to see?

In order to use the HTML feature, you must have at least 500 posts.  The source button will look like the following:

It will appear as a part of the editor bar.  The feature which you are using simply displays the coding.  It will not activate the coding.

Oh, I didn't realize she didn't have enough posts for it! It sounded like she did. Yeah, you have to have at least 500 posts to be able to use it - which you can't do just yet.

You're probably hitting the '<>' button, and that doesn't do anything to make your posts pretty. That's for pasting a source code in so others can view it and copy it for themselves. I think?

Ohhhh....well, I guess I'm screwed then. That's okay, my templates look okay the way they are. It would probably take me days to reach 500 posts anyway. Thank you for telling me though. :)

Google Docs are a great way to make posts look pretty, along with PicMonkey and some other sites! :)

If you click on the header of the code box, there should be a + icon at the top left of it.  Click/tap on that, then hit delete, and that will make the box go away.  (Warning: if you want to save the text that's in it, FIRST copy/paste/move it out of that box.  Deleting the box deletes everything in it.)

This also works for quotes and spoilers.
