Suggestion Clubs!

I think it'd be cool if there were clubs on this site. There could be writing clubs, art clubs, and many more. I understand given the server load this would potentially cause it might not be a feasible idea at this time but I just wanted to put it out there.

It's really nice to have the ability to follow and message people but if clubs were implemented the club president/owner could host their own events and do their own giveaways and a lot of really cool creative stuff that would only add to the social aspect of the site. Plus it'd be nice to just chit chat with the same people you've met all over the site in the same place at the same time and maybe your friends could make friends with other friends you know and so on.

Just an idea... if anyone has any ideas that could add to the Club idea just comment them below!

The problem with clubs is that they lead pretty quickly to cliques, and we've have a lot of trouble with those over the years. I'm not saying you can't form a club of your own; group PMs would seem to be a good way to do them. But I don't see us doing anything official with it.

I suppose that makes sense. However, it would still be on the site and users would still need to follow site rules. I don't see why having clubs would change that.
