    Spook looks like your typical emo kid,
    in all honesty. He has a pretty, somewhat delicate face and large, expressive eyes that are always rimmed in black. His eyebrow, lip and tongue are pierced, and rumour has it he's got a hidden tattoo somewhere on his back or chest (something which his fangirls often argue over). His complexion is pale and often looks ghostly under poor lighting, and the eyeliner conceals near permanent dark circles that have taken up residence under his eyes. Spook is fairly short and noticeably underweight, which is rather typical for his 'type' though not the healthiest or most lively of physiques. While his eyes are naturally a bright metallic golden yellow, he often wears blood red or glowing neon contacts on stage, and plain brown ones while out in public to avoid recognition. He dresses like any other emo kid, though more expensively due to his newfound wealth. Tight jeans, skulls, stripes, lots of accessories, band shirts and an entire wardrobe of black, basically.

    PERSONALITY
    Nicholas Sterling is overly emotional, but tries (and sometimes fails) to hide this fact behind a wall of cool, cynical indifference and sarcasm. Despite living a life of sudden fame, Spook is not particularly social and is known by his fans and the media alike for being a mysterious and elusive celebrity, still acting as though his band and name are unknown. He isn't very cheerful and rarely smiles or laughs publicly, unless it's smugly and at someone else's expense. Despite his depressing personality and bad attitude, he can be likable and even borders on kind if he gets to know you, though this will take effort and more than a little luck on your side. Winning Spook over isn't easy, as his life experiences have lead him to believe most people trying to get close to him are only interested in his newfound money and/or fame (and in many cases he'd be right). The young star does find his fans amusing, and will usually tease them mockingly but always stops for a photo or autograph. Those who are particularly patient, are interested in music or enjoy dark fashion choices and morbid sense of humor may end up having a snarky emo friend for life. If he trusts you and you hurt him however, the walls will come down and you might just catch a glimpse of what a sad and troubled young man Nicholas Sterling really is... and that for all his feigned indifference, he cries very easily. If you care about him, the best thing you can do is let him come to you, much like an aloof and rather moody housecat, and maybe dry his tears if he'll let you... oh, and give him candy. He loves candy.

    BACKGROUND
    The early years of Nicholas Sterling weren't particularly interesting, perhaps aside from the fact his mother disappeared for almost a year after his first birthday, and Spook is far from proud of them. He was the accidental result of a one-night stand, but that didn't make his young mother love him any less. Aside from the year he spent with his grandparents as a toddler, he was almost always with her. Though they were broke, she tried her very best to keep things stable for her son. They mainly lived in basements and low budget housing, but Nicholas still had a fairly innocent childhood.

    Things got worse when he went to school, as he was often bullied and had difficulty making friends and fitting in. He learned from a young age that it was better not to care, and had mastered the art of hiding his emotional nature behind a wall of icy indifference by the time he reached middle school.

    But if elementary and middle school had been difficult, high school was a thousand times worse. Spook refused to act or dress like the crowds, which made him even more of a target. His interest in music and unpopular tastes did win him a few friends, though they were all outcasts like himself. Nick recorded his first song at 13, but didn't receive much attention until he was 15.

    Things turned around for him after he formed a more permanent band, and after a year and a half as a fairly well known indie act, released a very successful album. Turning his nickname of Spook into a stage name, he quickly gained popularity amongst the alternative crowd. A bit overwhelmed by his sudden fame, he has a tendency to hide from the cameras and even stay out partying all night before a performance. Fortunately, he's so far managed to balance his wild side and never go too far... or so the media believes. His scars would say otherwise, but that's not a story he'll ever share willingly.

    Nick once dated an up-and-coming singer named Vivienne, though it didn't last and the resulting dramatic breakup caused the teen to swear off relationships for life.

    He purchased his current apartment only a week after turning 18 with his first official check from his current recording contract, and is currently taking a month off before he's set to return to the studio.

    As he's famous, Spook will likely attract paparazzi and the occasional fangirl to the apartment complex... you have been warned.

    Also, he is the half-brother of Micah, though neither are aware of this.

    Secretive and highly intelligent, Todd is a young, shy man who has thrown away his social life in favor of tinkering with robotics. With a head full of brilliant ideas, Todd will spend hours upon end inventing new things; including but not limited to robotic arms, voice commanded toasters, Rube Goldberg machines of varying purposes, miniature heat rays, a trash-powered electric generator, and many, many robots. Aside from his hobbies, Todd can be very diligent and up-to-par with his responsibilities, and gets frustrated when he sees others being lazy.
    Due to his social awkwardness, Todd is often detached from his surroundings, and at times, even retreats into his own world in order to escape reality. Not only that, but Todd often tries to keep himself from getting too close to other people, worrying that he might make a fool out of himself. Todd is also very secretive, not only prefuring to keep most of his projects private, but also refrains from talking about his feelings, past, or personal information. His greatest secret, however, are his eyes, for he has not shown anyone his eyes for most of his life, choosing to cover them with large, ridiculous-looking glasses.
    Todd also has a habit of not only getting embarrassed easily, but he also carries a variety of memo-keeping devices with him at all times (e.g. a black notebook, a clipboard, or a pocket-folio with tablet). It is unknown what he writes in any of them.

    Background:
    Born into a lovely family, Todd would spend most of his childhood being the teacher’s pet, being focused more on his responsibilities than socializing with other kids. However, because of a ennimatic genetic error that has affected only a handful of members of the Minorri Family line, Todd was born with…. unusual eyes, to say the least. As such, Todd would be bullied all throughout his childhood, with children mocking and insulting him because of his eyes.
    As one might expect, this would cause Todd to further drift away from being social, and would find tinkering in his father’s garage as a means of escaping from reality. One day, however, Todd would meet a charismatic street boy by the name of Jayden, he would be the first person in Todd’s life to complement his eyes. While his parents would protest, calling the street boy deceitful, Todd’s heart had already chosen Jayden, and soon, the two would form a relationship. Unfortunately, it would be because of Todd’s hasteful thinking that weeks of torment would ensue. What began has a dream come true for Todd quickly turned into a nightmare when the dashing and playful Jaydon soon revealed his true colors; he was a ruthless, violent, and manipulative thug who “loved” Todd only for his eyes, and nothing else. This would be the darkest chapter of Todd’s life, as well as one he is still traumatized from. Luckily, Todd would leave him before things could get any worse.
    Years later after he and Jayden broke up, Todd was practically an alien to society. He spend most of his time indoors tinkering with inventions, and never made any attempts to be social. Seeing this, his parents decided find a way to get Todd out of the house and into a work environment to improve his mental health. So after Todd graduated from college, his father, who was a high-ranked worked at Boston Dynamics, would employ him as a robotics engineer. In the perfect environment where his extremely high IQ would shine the brightest, Todd would fall in love with his new job. Not only was he able to construct, as well as aid in the construction of many successful prototypes, but Todd began to work on several of his own personal projects with the high-grade resources the company provided; which included a seven-foot tall robot named Caesar. However, due to the stresses Todd would find from working with others (he much preferred to work alone), he would leave the company, bringing with him most of his personal projects. From there, he would move to Seaside in hopes of getting the privacy he longed for, as well as to continue his tinkering hobbies.
    Little did he know what adventures awaited for him at the Suncrest Complex...

    -He is an ultra fan of the sci-fi genre. Like, if you ask him anything sci-fi related, he’ll have an answer in seconds.
    -He owns many robots, each of which surviving a different purpose. From small ones that butter his toasts for breakfast, to AIs that act as his “friends”.
    -Todd really likes frosted donuts, with coconut frosted donuts being his favorite.

    -Mia: Mia is a laid back type of girl. She loves ascetics and the little things in life, often daydreaming while there is a window near by. A pure optimist at heart, in par with her sister. But, she is fairly quite, not that she won't speak to people, just would rather not start conversation. However, once she begins it's hard to get her to stop. But, she'd much rather play video games where her sister often remembers who has the loudest mouth of the two. Highly enjoys it.

    Mia also tends to make friends a bit more difficult then that of her sister. Mostly because she just chooses to not open up and take chances with people. You have to earn it, basically. She is the nicest and most purest thing, but her social game is off. No hard feelings for anyone and apologizes frequently. She is the neat freak twin.

    Background: Mia and Miya grew up with jut enough. Proud parents, awesome childhood, being together for all their lives, never apart. It was perfect for the two. Literally the dream. Mia would always shadow Miya but for good reason. She was the most mature one, holding Miya back from trouble, getting involved in the wrong places and people. Littler sister love, barely little sister. They always did the same things together and seemed to enjoy everything, never getting tired of each other (of course there is the sibling annoyance, but nothing ever serious) and they passed as top of their class in high school. Mia in front.

    The two acted like a singular person, split down the middle most their lives. Now, they travel to the city life, attending college together and living together. Now, it's time to begin the rest of their lives. Standing by each other's side and helping each other through everything.

    Personality: Val is a calm individual with most matters that come to her attention. Her confidence in her technique and choices is one of her more renowned traits alongside her curious tendencies. Although she is quite flexible with her time, she is methodical in her work and habits. She can often be deceptive, especially when it comes to her side business as it is very illegal. With a degree in psychology she is rather neutral in debates, interesting herself in the other debaters rather than the topic. She is unhurried as is emphasized by her calm demeanor, but she tends to be irritable when clients request her immediate services. Her second occupation and the connections involved in it make her a highly secretive individual, hiding information on a regular basis pertaining to anything and everything.

    Background: Ever since she was a young child Valerie had been curious about the world. She often asked more questions than she ever got answers but it never bothered her. She decided fairly early in her education that she wanted to work with people in some direct fashion in which she became a doctor and got a minor in psychology. Being one of the top graduates of medical school, she had no problem finding hospitals who would hire her as she specialized in several fields of medicine. With her unique skill set and outstanding track record, she quickly rose above and beyond most of her peers. Despite her talents though, she didn't care for the praise. She simply wanted to see how people chose to function in all aspects. As a doctor she had access to medical records that told her plenty about how people took care of themselves and through interactions she could pick their brain to learn even more. Her obsession became her way of life and in a desperate frenzy to know more, she became an underground doctor, treating patients illegally and quietly in exchange for large sums of cash and the chance to sate her overwhelming curiosity.

Steve is as tough, cocky and headstrong as they come, but he's also friendly, selfless and protective of others. He's very confident in his abilities and he oftentimes has to control himself just to take direction from someone who isn't a parent. With that said, however, he's also very mature and exercising self-control is something he never finds difficult unless pushed over the edge; he's never been someone to drink an entire two-liter bottle of soda pop in a single sitting. Though he often acts like his bike is the most important thing to him, it's really his family; he himself will say it's his family when asked what's most important to him. He'll do whatever it takes to protect his family and anyone who is in danger. Steve is a fighter who won't roll over for anyone and will stand up for what he thinks is right; if he decides to walk away from something, it's a decision, not fear. Speaking of fear, the only thing he does is snakes. He hates abuse; if he sees anyone being mistreated, he will put an end to it, with force if need be. He's friendly and most find him likable. He believes in always treating others fairly; if anyone tries to lodge racist or sexist views his way, Steve will unequivocally tell them they're wrong. Background:
Steve grew up in a supportive family in New York. His parents did their best to take care of he and his sister. They did a healthy amount of activities as a family, such as going to the movies and camping. They also respected every decision Steve or his sister made unless they felt it was immoral. Steve always did well in school and the grades he made were often seen as something to be proud of. From a young age, he was known for getting his friends out of trouble; they would often do something crazy like prank someone and Steve would have to take care of it. Of course, Steve himself would get them in trouble with how they used to sneak into R-rated movies, though it's not like they were ever caught. As they got older, his friends would get into more deadly serious trouble, like that which involved the gangs of New York. It didn't help things any that many of these gangs wanted Steve's motorcycle.
He met a girl named Diane Stewart when they were both 12 years old and they were pretty much inseparable from then on. Eventually, having long fallen in love, they began dating, which drew the ire of Diane's family, who for whatever reason, hated Steve. When Diane became pregnant with Steve's baby, her parents' behavior worsened, escalating to a point where they even attempted to force Diane to have an abortion. Upon Diane's staunch refusal with the watertight argument that it was her baby and her choice, she was thrown out of the house and Steve's parents took her in while he was out with some of his other friends. When Steve came home, he found out what had happened and was highly upset that she'd been treated that way. It didn't end there, though. Diane's family made several attacks, including, but not limited to, an attempt to set Steve's bike on fire that was thwarted by Steve and his father. After graduating from high school, Steve enrolled in police academy.
Shortly after they married, Diane's family called and left several terroristic voicemails. Moreover, they broke a window out of the apartment in New York and attempted to shoot Steve's father. It was around this time that Steve graduated from the academy and by now, he was fed up with his in-laws' behavior. Knowing that Diane's family would never leave them alone, Steve decided they would have to leave without anyone knowing who would tell them. Marlowe has curly black (dyed white) hair, dark brown eyes, and an athletic build which has caused her to be mistaken for a man many times. On her back and arms she has several faded scars where her bio mom had burned her with cigerettes and lighters. She wears mainly flannel shirts with loose jeans and is rarely seen with out her grey jacket that has a dark blue stripe running horizontally across the middle. Personality: Fiesty, proud, blunt, and opinionated are just a few words to describe Marlowe Hendricks. Even as a child she always did things her own way, often leading to her butting heads with anyone (especially authority figures) who try to get her do things their way unless it's for a good reason. Making people worry over her is one of Marlowe's pet peeves so she'll almost always brush off acts of concern with a shrug or an "I'm fine". Funnily enough this doesn't extend to other people, if she knows someone's she's close to going through hardships than the teen is quick to offer help in her own special way, for example: "Damnit all Mack I'm fine ! It's just a scratch! Here, now hurry up and use this to patch up your arm before I kick your ass all the way to the Atlantic,". Marlowe isn't one to sit on the side lines and would rather take action than be an observer, especially if someone is getting menaced by another person/people. Also the teen makes it a point to let people know exactly what she thinks of them which has lead to fist fights on several occasions. Much to the surprise of those who don't know her that well Marlowe is an avid learner (though she prefers to learn for herself as opposed to being taught) and wants to eventually go to a good college, though is worried at how likely that will be since her expulsion.

Background: Marlowe's childhood wasn't the best as her parents divorced when she was around six years old and she was left with her mother, who turned to drugs and booze not long afterward the separation. For two years the child endured both verbal and physical abuse from the woman that had only gotten worse as time went on. Then one day while her mother was on a drunken tirade against her the girl had reached her breaking point and talked back to her mother, going into a bit of a tirade of her own. Her mother was stunned by this act of defiance which gave Marlowe the chance to grab the phone, lock herself in her room, and call the police. The authorities quickly came to arrest the abuser. Once her mother was imprisoned Marlowe was able to move in with her dad who promised that he'd never let his ex-wife regain custody of her. A few years later Mr. Hendricks remarried, though she was wary at first Marlowe grew to love her step-mom, eventually referring to her as her actual mom. Time passed and everything seemed to be happy with the small family. Then Mr. Hendricks started getting calls from school, Marlowe had been getting into physical altercations with fellow students.
When confronted about her behavior the young teen said that those students had been bullying other kids. She'd tell them to stop, when they wouldn't she'd give them a black eye. Realizing that his daughter wasn't maliciously attacking people Mr. Hendricks decided to enroll her in martial arts classes to teach her discipline and give her an outlet for negative emotions. This seemed to work as Marlowe didn't get into anymore physical fights at school, instead if she saw anyone being harassed she'd confront them and if that didn't work she'd get a teacher involved. Unfortunately, doing this got her a lot of negative attention outside of school and Marlowe wound up getting into fights outside of school. In order to not have her parents worry Marlowe wouldn't say anything about these fights and if they noticed any injures on her she'd use martial arts class as an excuse. Then one day during study hall Marlowe was walking to the drinking fountain when she saw a group of teens harassing two others. She was going over to them to break it up when she saw one of the bullies pull out a metal baton. Three minuets later the bullies were on the ground with bruises while the one who had the baton clutched at his sprained wrist. Then the school resource officer showed up and hulled Marlowe to the principal's office. The teen wasn't too worried, she'd just get detention for a week once the two kids got to tell their side of what happened. Then the superintendent came, the boy whose wrist she sprained was his son. He gave her two options: admit to attacking his son and get expelled, or he uses his influence to ensure she and her family and the families of the two kids she defended are sued for every cent they're worth. Marlowe picks the expulsion.
The news quickly gets out, her parents are both angry and disappointed in her. The family is forced to move to escape the scandal and find a school willing to take Marlowe in. They move to Seaside, where Marlowe hopes to repair her relationship with her family.

    Long ago Marcus was quite a famous Hunter. But nowadays no one really knows who he was. Because at the height of his fame, he encountered a pureblood who got the better of him, and chose to instead of killing him, turn him into one of those disgusting creatures. After that Marcus fell into a depression as he grappled with who he even was now. He was one of the things that he used to hunt. And not only that, but now he couldn't seem to bring himself to kill the bastard who bestowed this fate worse than death on him. But that wasn't even the worst part about the pureblood who'd turned him. Having lost his purpose in life, He wasn't quite sure what to do. He couldn't go back to what he used to do, a creature like him hunting? Terrible.

    After a long while, Marcus finally decided to do something rather than live in self pity not doing anything. He distanced himself from the Monster that had turned him, and moved to Suncrest. Getting a modest Job, enough to keep a roof over his head at least. He even went as far as to change his name. Though his reason for moving wasn't just to recreate himself and move on. No. He knew about Suncrest, and how it drew those creatures to it... After all he was also drawn here.

Seemingly a 'normal' young adult woman, Lia uses a top layer of a seemingly clueless kid trying to stumble her way toward stability to hide a deeply analytical, reflective and remorseful person. She's incredibly left brained, and based most of her values on what gets her ahead instead of what she personally believed in at a young age, and as such has a list of seemingly contradictory morals (ex: Believing that loyalty is important while also thinking you can never trust anyone) that she still tries to stick to just so that it benefits her career.
