Heyo y’all! You know how most 1x1 threads look for a good partner more so than people to do a specific plot? Me and a few friends were talking and we decided to do the same thing but for a group rp. So, if you had no clue what this was before you clicked on this thread, hopefully that clears some things up. If you like the concept, keep reading to learn some stuff about us (us being me, ScatheAriiasqDrayceon , and Tapfic ) and the kinda people we generally enjoy rping with! If you like what you see here, then feel free to comment on this thread!

Our Preferences:

• We’re gonna be not-jerks. By which I mean we respect pronouns, don’t expect people to sacrifice quality of real life for roleplay, etc. We expect the same from anyone rping with us
• Anyone roleplaying with us has to be okay with rping with minors
• 300-500 word posts (though that’s not a hard rule, we often go over and sometimes under depending on what the situation calls for)
• We usually write 3rd person, past tense, but we’re not terribly strict on this
• Post rate varies from 1 every few weeks to multiple a day depending on the rhythm of everyone else. We don’t mind having differing post rates if you don’t
• We talk a lot about neat things we want to do in roleplays (character relationships, worldbuilding, scenes) so if you don’t, we might not be the partners for you. If you absolutely love ranting about such things, please join our dipshittery
• If we happen to do a fandom-based rp (which honestly isn’t too often), we all really only do original characters. On occasion, we’ll have the existence of canon characters, but they never play a significant role in the plot
• Rping isn’t a highschool group project. This doesn’t happen a ton so I don’t expect most people would be going into this with this in mind, but we all want the people we rp with to actually contribute something plot-or-character-wise because otherwise there’s not much point in rping
• We don’t require faceclaims and we really prefer not to do real faceclaims (meaning please don’t ask us to)
• We don’t require anyone to do this, but we enjoy doing collab posts for faster paced scenes like fight scenes
• We often use multiple characters per RPer, but no one rping with us is at all required to do so as well

Disclaimer: We are people of little self control and no regret and can and will angst and/or hurt/comfort things to Heaven or Hell. We’re not against avoiding certain topics, though, so if you’ve got any hard boundaries then please mention them

• Grimdark (we love angst, we just don’t like the take of “make it sad and that’s it, that’s the plot” because there’s not much point of making a dark plotline if there’s not lighter bits to contrast it)
• Blank-slate kind of characters with no chance for development or motivation
• Normal modern-nothing-is-different (modern is fine. Just drop something spicy in)
• Lone wolf who never talks to anyone and never interacts with any of the other players’ characters (this is fine if we coordinate ways to get them to interact, but if we don’t do that then they’re kinda just off on their own, which defeats the purpose of rping together)

  Heyo! Most people call me Bitty or Bit, you can too if you like. I’m fine with pretty much any other nickname, though. I use any pronouns so feel free to call me whatever on that front as well. I’ve been roleplaying for about 4 years now. One of my favorite parts of roleplaying is worldbuilding and figuring out fun ways for a character to fit in a universe with other people.
  
  Some details about me that illustrate pretty well who I am as a person are:
  - I am left handed but use my mouse with my right hand and I’m far more entertained than I should be by the confusion this causes
  - I say 1x1 like “one times one”
  - I like origami, The Magnus Archives, and egregious amounts of warm drinks (preferably all at once)
  - I regularly drink water that’s been microwaved for two minutes because I want a warm drink but I shouldn’t drink the amount of tea I would if all the warm drinks I drank were tea and my friends call my hot water “microwave spit”
  
  I really like taking a small concept and then developing it into an entire universe. Scathe and Tap can attest to the fact that I can and will latch onto a universe and rant like an absolute fiend. My personal favorite tropes that aren’t already listed in our collective interests are characters that are “smart but stupid” (like someone that could engineer a giant robot but also can and will put a plastic mixing bowl in an oven and then be surprised when it melts) and vice versa (like someone that’s failing all their classes but also is really good at lying to get exactly what they need out of someone), characters feeling obligated to take care of people in an angst way, and parallel scenes that have completely different contexts that change the feeling of the scenes entirely. Also mashups of sci-fi and fantasy.

  I enjoy very in-depth looks at universes (Bit and Tap can confirm that I will absolutely wreck a fandom by over-analyzing), and characters. Worldbuilding is one of the things I pour over for no logical or reasonable reason, and I apologize in advance for any late-night rants you wake up to.
  
  Personal favorite tropes are sentient-but-different-and-language-barrier, other tropes taken to the degree of angst, robots but Big, body-less AI of the “is this human” kind, terrifying but sweet characters, and culture-shock. There are more, but it’d take all day to list them.

  Common Mains
  Luca “Gray” Graymin - A tired, tired workaholic usually played at the age of 36, though I’ll sometimes put him at 24 or 17 to fit a setting or to just catch him at a different stage of his life. He’s the kind of tired that makes him look like a different person when he doesn’t have eye bags and stubble. Nearly all older versions of him are grumpy and paranoid, while most younger versions of him are people-pleasers. In some universes the origin of the nickname Gray is that he misspoke his name as “Gay” when he met a hot guy at a gay bar and he had to backtrack.
  
  Peter Rilenhou - Abandonment issues McGee. He’s impulsive, resulting in both a short temper and also frequently running off to do something fun (and usually dangerous) that’s popped into his head. He also has the heart of a puppy in that anyone giving him so much as an ounce of affection will immediately become someone he cares about very much. Peter has no concept of what healthy ways to cope with emotions are and will furiously bury them under a false veneer of confidence and anger/cheerfulness (depending on the universe) given a sliver of a chance. Usually played around the 14-16 years old.
  
  
  Common Sides
  Plume Inkvine - Edgy little shit who takes offense to being called edgy even though it’s very fitting. Commonly given an antagonistic (though not necessarily villainous) role and then also commonly subjected to a redemption arc (much to their chagrin). They are usually the product of childhood indoctrination into something bad (depends on the universe what it is exactly) and later rebellion against said bad thing. Angry 99% of the time. Kind of like a kitten that’s screeching at you and then you pick them up and they start pouting. Usually played around 17-22 years old depending on the kind of role I want them to be playing in the plot.
  
  Cyra “Dr. Dusk” Iduska - As you can tell, she’s usually played as a medical professional. Overworked, cares about everyone she has to take care of but also will rant at people for doing stupid shit (when it comes to our usual character-choices, “good patient” is pretty much never applicable), doesn’t get paid enough for this shit. Will fight someone in the back of a Denny’s parking lot.
  
  Buzz Tereshkova - You could spill soup in their lap and they’d apologize to you. Soft-hearted he/they demiboy who feels responsible for anything that goes wrong around him. Usually an older brother figure and/or mentor figure to slightly-more-mentally-stable Peters (unless he dies, in which case it rapidly becomes an extremely not-mentally-stable Peter). 17-24 age range.
  
  Anthony “Ant” Bao - Usually Gray’s boyfriend/husband. If flirted with, he will amplify and return the energy (with Gray’s permission if they’re in a relationship at that moment in time). Easygoing, great cook, and can and will drag you into talking about your feelings over homemade croissants. He’s also a gymnast and the guy that Gray was talking to when he earned his nickname in the tidbit mentioned in Gray’s profile. Oftentimes a smoker or ex-smoker.
  
  Pest - Gray’s cat. He secretly named her Pesto (as in “basil pesto”) and Pest is just a shortening of it but he’ll never willingly admit to this.

  Jet Kaedos/Kadoshi - A very single-dad-esque neurosurgeon who is either often very smart in all regards or an absolute idiot in anything that isn’t doctoring. There is no in-between. He’s usually 39-ish, though mid-late-twenties isn’t uncommon. Often my least human character. Bird man that drinks too much coffee and is slightly allergic to alcohol.
  
  Ariiasqthylinh Au Kaedos/Drayceon - Jet’s (adopted) kid. They’re either 90% serious 10% idiot or 90% idiot 10% serious. Much like Jet, there’s little in-between. Their age scales with Jet’s, and they’re most often played at 15-16-ish. When nonhuman, they’re often a shapeshifter. Personality is very dependent on backstory, though they’re usually suspicious of everything and very snappish. They’re an absolute I'm uncultured who steals morals from other people because they hate being the disappointment.
  
  Vihaan (Platinum) Kaedos/Vaeis - Jet’s husband, when that is a thing. Quite literally a devil’s advocate, a known manipulator, but all around cool dude. Enjoys gaudy colors in the worst places, making people turn red, and spoiling the people he loves. There’s a 2-year age gap between him and his husband. The best way I can describe him is “I like to cause problems on purpose.” Vi may be the most vanilla out of all of them (powers or species-wise), but he has a gun.

  Sexy and she knows it bitch that makes everyone and everything within hearing range as uncomfortable as possible.
  
  Cobalt Veerien
  Strict and militaristic sister that’s too focused on prestige and reputation, but is very affectionate in her own… weird way.
  
  Jade Avaris
  The mom friend that doesn’t even get paid for this shit and the antithesis to Jet’s hesitance to an extent.
  
  Carmine Valaeris
  The youngest of the self-proclaimed “Color Crew”, and the prankster of the group.
  
  Ryan Remeriez
  The poor trauma doctor that barely gets paid and is constantly resisting the urge to tear out his obnoxiously orange braid.

  Lan Clementine
  Small and angry and cares too much. He is what would happen if a mom friend was violently idiotic. Loves everyone but in a way that is so stupidly tsundere he looks like he hates everyone.
  Almost always played as a young adult, specifically 22.
  
  Rumi Komori
  Manipulative bitch and only apologetic about it if she gets caught, but funny in a mean sort of way. Usually acts as a guardian to her nephew (affectionately named “Kid”) who calls her “mom”.
  Either played as 21 or ageless immortal.
  
  Emrie Pride
  Strong and friendly. He’s playful- but in a way that rarely strays into territory that could be considered mean. Notably Bi, and flirty- but only with men; as he respects women too much to hit on them unless they initiate. Ironically enough, his pride is a very notable feature- and though he doesn't say it, he often thinks of himself as better than others ( to be fair, he is often right ).
  Almost always played as 21.
  
  Gin Dannelle
  Sad man. Pitiful little creature. He’s playful but in an awkward way; and can only really interact with people normally if he’s buzzed. Divorced, but kind of frenimies with his ex still. Less dad-ish and more okay uncle vibes..
  Youngish-old. Like. 38.
  
  Nikias (Nikki) Sterling
  Do everything for the Vine. Even though Vine is dead. Takes nothing seriously because he only actually cares about his mom. Generally in any sort of world with powers; his revolve around being forgotten. In the event this is not the case, he’s a pretty popular kid.
  Legitimately wants to be the lead singer in a boyband.
  Stupid bareley adult to teenager. 19- 17 age range when I play him.
  
  Divia Knight
  Fun skater girl. She’s good for the sake of “ Wait, there’s another option??”, so when she actually does anything kind of fucked up- she doesnt really take it hard. Will harass you until you watch her do a kickflip.

  Kay (K)
  Ball of malice who is usually in charge of protecting Divia for one reason or another. Reformed villain except he’s been reformed from the start. Will commit crimes of violence if allowed. Very much protective older brother energy to people he likes.

  Unhinged. Thing. Murder is not only an option for them- it is the preferred one. They see the world as a horrible, painful place- and have no problem perpetuating that cycle.

  Levin ( Lev ) Andris
  Sad , but in the depression way more so than the pitiful way. Just wants to play his video games, and relax. Rarely actually gets to do so. Usually some sort of undead. Always a Bass Guitarist.

Ready-Made Universes (a.k.a. The Microwave Meals)
We have lots of lore and ideas for these and the bulk of the worldbuilding has been done already. Basically, if you ask about any of these, prepare to get infodumped on. We can personally say that they’re a lot of fun, though, and we’d love to do them if anyone’s interested. Some of these also might get thrown into a normal group interest check at a later point in time if they don’t get picked up here.

Alien Shapeshifty (Lightly undercooked): A Ben-10 inspired universe in which aliens are plentiful and interact often with small, usually unknown to the general populous, parts of humanity. A branch of the military has started using a shapeshifting technology in which DNA of alien species can be saved into a watch/armband, therefore allowing the user to shapeshift between their natural species and other species.

I Don’t Get Paid Enough For This: Urban fantasy universe where the main characters work or are clients for a 7/11 (or other such cornerstore chain) that happens to be owned by a person running a branch of an organization meant to keep supernatural beings secret from humans. The workers of the 7/11 didn’t sign up knowing this, and they definitely weren’t told that those special caprisuns they keep in the back were full of blood.

Tiandeng: High-tech combined with classic fantasy and magical elements. This takes place on a floating city, Tiandeng, that is at war with the country below. Street racing through the use of large animals such as hellcats and dragons is illegal. It’s also extremely common and, frankly, fun.

I noticed that you tend to enjoy dragons and magical creatures, however, I am unsure of how sentient you like RPing them. I don't need dragons/monsters being sentient to RP, BTW, I was just curious since I enjoy RPing as these creatures from time to time due to how rare it is for me to get that opportunity.

I am not familiar with all of these fandoms you like to RP, and I'm quite certain I post far more than 500 words, however, I am interested in HTTYD, Harry Potter, and ATLA. While I sometimes make "loner-ish" characters, it is usually them being socially incompetent and shy, which is a character I can write pretty well, and I'm willing to work for them to get into the plot.

10 is a good number, I can work with 12, but that's the furthest I will go if we're meant to be a single group. If it's multiple groups and we're all split up, we can push that further. For ATLA, that's honestly an amazing world I adore. (I did list it as one of the three fandoms that I was somewhat in that you all listed.) Just give me any info/AU background (if there is any) and a character sheet and I can whip up a character or something.
