Fandom Close Proximity (A Supernatural Roleplay)

"Reporter, huh? What's so special about this particular town?"
"This place? It's perfect. A small town 'infested' by a series of fishy, brutal murders. With some imagination the story will become hot news." Charlotte replied.

After a few more sentences they separated; the two other girls headed somewhere else while she and the young man entered the bar. She thanked him for holding the door open and replied.

"Around two years, I guess? But technically this is not my only job. You can't survive with a reporter's salary, haha."

She hold out her hands.

"By the way, I'm Janice; you can call me Jane. A pleasure to meet you."

@Shadow

Anxo followed the girl inside and nodded in sympathy as she mentioned her poor salary. In truth, he had no idea how much money a reporter made, so he had no clue what she was talking about but he at least had to act sympathetic. It was his job after all.

"It is all my pleasure, I assure you. My name is Ascalon." He said formally, shaking her hand.

He hoped she didn't noticed that he had hesitated, unused to the social norm of shaking hands. What was the point? It only spread germs and awkwardly broke each person's 'space bubble.' He shoved away the distracting thoughts and scanned the café for the old man from before.

"Ah, that is the man at the corner of the bar." He said, nodding in the old man's direction. "Do you need any further assistance?" He asked, trying to decide where he needed to go next. Maybe his hotel room to regroup and write down all the information he had.....that should be a good start.

Skylar Skylar headed back to her motel room; it was old and had an odd stench. Tch, gross. Skylar knew she shouldn't have been walking around town with no protection, but her naivety could sometimes get the better of her.

She opened up her suitcase and pulled out a smaller bag. This bag contained the few items she had been given from other hunters. After today's talk, she knew she needed something that could penetrate through tough skin and it had to be silver. She pulled out a revolver that was customized to handle special ammo. Holding up one silver bullet up to the air, she kissed it; this was some sort of superstition that she had picked up.

She loaded the gun and guzzled down an energy drink; tonight would be a difficult night.

Ascalon... sounded like a fantasy character rather than a name parents give their children. Did the professors like calling him to the board to solve problems due to his particular name, just like her literature professor who loved Charlotte Bronte did to her? She toyed with the thought and smiled. This guy's name as well as the way he paused before taking her hands were somehow awkward. She wondered if he was a foreigner, but kept the thought to herself knowing she did not have a lot of time for a conversation.

"Ah no, thank you for showing me around. Next time if you see me in this cafe, come say hello, ok?"

She told him goodbye and headed towards the old man. Once the crime location was confirmed, she went back to the hotel to prepare the hunting kit. Night fell on the town as she drove to the outskirt where the warehouse was. The building was bare and severely broken down. The locked had been broken; someone clearly intruded inside before her. Gun close to her body, she silently slipped inside.

~Ciera~

She held her gun straight ahead, turning her arms with her body so that it was always in front of her. She had found it best to use it this way. The warehouse smelled horribly, the stench somewhere between urine and wet dog. Sunlight streamed through few broken windows, unable to penetrate the windows that had not been shattered due to the severe coating of grime that had accumulated, likely because of years of neglect.

She wasn't sure how long she had been there. It didn't feel like it had been that long, but looking down at her watch she saw that it was actually around 4:30 in the afternoon. Considering where the town was situated and the time of year, she figured she had about a half hour before--

Her thought was interrupted as someone slammed into her from the side, sending her sprawling. It wasn't anyone she had ever seen before, so she guessed it must have been the werewolf she was after. That is until the woman spoke. "P-please. You have to get me out of here. They're coming..." Ciera got back up and quickly put her jacket over the woman's shoulders. "Hey, it's okay. I'm going to get you out of here, okay?" The woman nodded after a brief moment of hesitation. "What's your name?" Ciera asked her.

"Elizabeth." She replied shakily. "Well, Elizabeth, you're going to be okay. Now let's get you out of here."

She wasn't sure exactly how far she had gone into the factory, or exactly where she was, but she was confident she could find her way out. Eventually.

"Of course. I hope to see you around." Anxo said, nodding good-bye. He went outside and crawled into his Mini-Shorty then drove to his hotel.

He settled in and grabbed his journal, scribbling down everything he knew so far. The only thing he could really think of that he might need to check out was Warehouse 13. It was where most of the victims had gone missing, so that was probably his best lead. Of course, he could go comfort the victim's families, but since most of the victims were teenagers it didn't take much guessing as to why they had been there. Still, it couldn't hurt to talk to the families in case this was something more than a werewolf. He sighed as he strapped his twin silver punch knives to his thigh. Sure, he didn't need them, but if there were possible witnesses he wouldn't be able to use his normal method.

He went back outside after throwing on his leather coat and got back into his Shorty. As he approached the warehouse, he drove around to the back and parked. He saw a couple other cars, which was slightly concerning. Maybe they belonged to the victims? He shrugged and carefully made his way through the fence and towards the building. His senses were on high alert, especially when he saw that someone had already come here recently. This should be good.

Ciera walked ahead of the woman in an attempt to keep her out of harm's way, and that ended up being a mistake. They were still wondering around the factory when she saw that the sun had gone down. Seeing this, she turned back to Elizabeth. "We need to-" Her sentence was cut off as she saw that the girl she had been protecting was not a girl at all, but a werewolf. As she begun to swing her gun around, it was knocked out of her hand, and it was all she could to jump back and avoid being knocked against the wall with it.

It didn't help though. The girl-gone-werewolf shot her hand out, grabbing Ciera's throat and pushing her against the wall. She didn't really begin feeling the effects of air deprivation, though, until her feet left the ground, the werewolf inching her upwards as she struggled to breath. She kicked out, trying to get a handle on the situation. Things had spiraled out of control pretty quickly.

Skylar Skylar walked to the warehouse; the town was small, so it wasn't a huge hassle. Night was approaching fast, and the last source of light was soon gone when she reached the gate. This gate was supposed to be secure; I just heard from the police that they were trying to prevent more people from going in and getting hurt. So how come the lock is busted? This worried Skylar, there could be someone in there who would potentially get hurt. She hurried in, being as stealthy as humanly possible.

All of a sudden, she heard a lot of noises coming from the west side of the building. She moved quickly, drawing out her weapons. Her heart was beating a million mph - the adrenaline pumped through her blood; her senses were heightened to the max. On her way to the noise, she saw another figure running in the same direction.

Anxo froze at the noise he heard somewhere in the west side of the warehouse. He pulled out his knives and ran quietly towards the commotion. In his peripheral vision, he saw someone running in he same direction, but he didn't have time to stop. Someone was probably about to be the werewolf's midnight snack and he could only hope that the person was friendly. He skidded around a corner and saw one of the girls from earlier pinned against the wall, being choked by the werewolf. He took a running jump at the wolf and collided then fell in a heap of limbs and claws. Something cut across his back as he swung his knife at, what he could only hope, was the werewolf. As he rolled to his feet the wolf kicked his side and sent him sprawling. He had no idea why his fighting skills were suddenly so inadequate, but hopefully the person he had seen running this way was right behind him. This werewolf clearly had more kick than he was expecting.

Skylar Skylar had seen everything play out in front of her. Her fear tried to come out, but she pushed it back in as she held her gun up. It was completely dark in the room, except for the moon shining in through the broken roof and windows. She aimed at the beast, and took her best shot. However, it had moved just in time. She caught the attention of the werewolf and it was soon headed towards her. Seeing how it had treat the man before her, Skylar knew she wouldn't have a chance; her best bet was to avoid it at all costs, so that's what she did. She ran, hoping it would lead the beast after her but still keeping whatever distance she could.

Skylar had no time to think about the situation and that she had seen these people before. She only thought about survival.
